I've ordered Pho With Us through DoorDash plenty of times, and one thing I've always liked is that the pho broth isn't super greasy like a lot of other places. It's flavorful without feeling heavy and has become my go-to pho spot. I recently stopped in for the first time in over two years and was honestly surprised by how much the place had changed. Everything was clean, organized, and the whole restaurant felt more welcoming than I remembered. Kamila at the front was a big help and recommended what will probably be my new regular order. The Thai tea she recommended was amazing too! Our server, Shyla, was friendly and checked on us throughout the meal. The food also came out in less than 15 minutes which was a big plus! I love pho, and Pho With Us in Southpark Meadows has quickly become my go-to spot in South Austin. The service is quick and friendly, we are always seated immediately, and they keep it chilly inside for maximum pho enjoyment even through Texas summer! What more could you ask for? Pho With Us' food is awesome. My current pho fav is their Pho Ha Noi, which comes with chopped rare ribeye, brisket, a tea egg, and -- my favorite part -- a fluffy, crunchy bread stick for dipping in the pho. Despite being a popular Ha Noi specialty, I have yet to find another pho place in S. Austin that serves this dish, and probably will stop looking since I love Pho With Us' version so much. Visited Austin and searched for a Vietnamese food place. We were happy to find this place. The service was friendly. The food came out quick. Seems like a pretty popular place. Nice mural on the wall. The soft spring roll was tasty with the peanut sauce for dipping. My husband liked his beef and shrimp bowl and fried Vietnamese egg rolls. I was surprised to have my curry tofu come out on a plate instead of a bowl, but the taste was there and the portion was right for lunch. More rice than I could eat though. Finally made the commute to check this place out on Easter Sunday. Even though it's way the heck down in south Austin, at least it's located inside a plaza so there was plenty of parking. We were seated right away but the service was actually quite slow. I think it took about 15-20 minutes for our pho to come out which is quite unusual for a pho place. I got the big Paul pho and my friend got the pho with us. The pho was amazing, no doubt about that. All the meat from the beef ribs to the brisket was cooked to perfection and the broth was so flavorful. We also got the Vietnamese spring rolls to share which is also delicious. The prices reasonable and the food is well portioned. We both ordered a separate dish to go since it was a quite a drive down here. Delicious, and I can't wait to come back and try more things! I went here with my brother and immediately after eating told my husband we have to check it out together lol! I'm not exactly a pho connoisseur, but my brother got the house pho and we both agreed it was delicious! I am under the impression that a traditional pho broth is fairly lightly flavored, which was not the case here, but I thought it was very tasty. I got the absolute vermicelli and it was fantastic! I really enjoyed the Vietnamese eggroll, and when I had finished the egg roll, I put some of the dipping sauce over the noodles too. We also got the spicy garlic edamame (which may have been the favorite thing I ate) and I scraped some of the extra chili garlic into my noodles too, which was the chefs kiss XD seriously, I know I want to go back and try more things, but I think I'll have to get the spicy garlic edamame every time. We tried a couple of cocktails, which were pretty good, the espresso martini and the lychee martini. We arrived a little after seven and we were immediately sat at the bar, the restaurant was bustling, but there was definitely still open tables. This isn't my first time here, but it's been over two years since I first visited. I recently placed a pick-up order via their website. I ordered a bowl of pho and the pork belly rice plate. I tasted the broth of the soup and it had a flavor I don't connect with pho. There may have been some kind of extra spice or seasoning added. Also, the pork belly plate was a bit disappointing. Rainy Friday night called for pho, and this did not disappoint. It was busy, but the staff, while run ragged, was friendly, attentive and efficient. It looks a bit like a quick serve Asian restaurant, but you're welcome to linger and fill your bellies. We tried the new smoked brisket bao- it was juicy, Smokey, a little spicy, and the ginger just set it off. Garlic spicy edamame had an addictive combination of chunky garlic, chili threads and chili oil. Lobster pho has fish balls, shrimp, scallops and we added rare beef. Ambiance of this place was nice and spacious though I just ordered for take out. When I ordered my quoted pickup time was 30 minutes later but when I went in at 35 min exactly, it still took an additional 13 min after that. The place was packed so I kind of understand but 50 minutes to get 1 bahn mi, 1 bao bun appetizer, 1 eggplant appetizer, and 2 orders of summer rolls is still pretty slow. Regarding the food, the chicken Bao buns were delicious as was the pork bahn mi. The grilled pork in the bahn mi had a really satiating flavor and the size was huge! Enough for 2 lunches for me so didn't mind the price at all (I'm used to like $7 bahn mis and this one was $15). I loved that they packed the cold marinated veggies from the bahn mi separate so the bread didn't get all soggy. I also really enjoyed the eggplant. I was a bit disappointed by the chicken spring/summer rolls because they had no carrots or cucumber julienned in them as well as no mint. They were like 70% vermicelli, 15% meat and 15% lettuce so the texture was pretty globby. The chicken in the rolls was no seasoning boiled chicken breast which did not help at all. Even when I smothered them in the peanut sauce it was not an enjoyable bite and that is saying something...I also ordered pork ones and those tasted better because the flavor of the marinated grilled pork was able to carry the roll a bit. Considering this part of Texas isn't the most diverse... causing authenticity to sort of get lost in the mix of interpretation...the food was still nicely presented and pretty decent. This place did middle of the road "inspired by Vietnamese" as best they could, so I couldn't knock them for the small details or lack of authenticity. My issues were: the choice of vegetables and herbs for some dishes were not ideal, a few of the dishes on the menu were actually Chinese instead of Vietnamese, and then there were some things that felt sort of Texan/southern/Vietnamese fusion and it left me a bit confused. To top that off, there are certain Vietnamese dishes that I look for on the menu of a Vietnamese restaurant and if they are not there, I feel disappointed.
