    Andaman Seafood
    Angelica L.

Overall: 3.4/5 [take out] We ordered for pickup on Uber Eats, and it took about 20 to 30 minutes before our order was ready. Good thing they put the Andaman Seafood in a plastic bag, because it spilled and was messy to take out. When we picked up our food, the staff asked if we wanted any utensils or sauce which was nice Chu-Chi Salmon ($22): Not a lot of curry, which was a letdown. The salmon itself was a generous portion but didn't taste like anything special. I did like the carrot slices though. The salmon came with rice so I chose brown rice but it turned out to be purple rice. Son in Law Eggs ($9): Comes with 6 fried egg halves. The tamarind sauce and toppings were great, but I didn't like whatever the outer shell around the egg was. Andaman Seafood ($22): Cane with rice, so we got steamed white rice. This is a stir fry of scallop, squid, mussels, bell pepper, onion, mushroom, and basil in their special house sauce. The seafood was okay, but didn't seem to soak up the house sauce much. The sauce itself tasted like a mix between sweet and sour and tom yum soup.

Ordered through DoorDash. $23 for that small portion was not worth it and the fish was fried HARD and dry ASF!! But had a great flavor lol the sauce was delicious and the veggies were a plus, but I won't be wasting my money on that ever again. Didn't satisfy my fish craving. The Tom Yum was great. I love how they took the extra precaution with packing my order. I would try again, just different dish.

My mom and I went to get some soup. They had vegan options and the flavor was delicious! The server was friendly and service was fast. The place was nice in a strip of other establishments.

Ordered from here via Uber eats during a special and it was delicious!! I got 2 Tom yum soups and they were really good!! Nicely spiced and there were bits of lemongrass too so good quality. I got mine with shrimp and there was a decent amount in there!! I like that it comes with a good bit of veggies too!!

Service was prompt, courteous, and helpful - even amid SXSW week! Food was delicious - we got a ton of the appetizers - soft spring rolls, egg rolls, coconut shrimp, lettuce wraps and grilled pork. All were fantastic and enjoyed by our group. All the entrees were excellent - I had the Kao soi - which was enough to bring home for another meal! this place is conveniently located and the vibe is super chill. We were all full and had no room for dessert!

Food is really great. In two visits in four days it must be good. Only one dish was disappointing and all the others were excellent. First of all, we can't rave enough about the Tom Yum soup. It's excellent even this time with the chicken. Although I personally preferred it with shrimp Today we tried the spring rolls which were good filled with a lot of lettuce and veggies just the way we like it. Then my husband had the Pad Thai, which was excellent well made, sauced and seasoned. I had the Mai Thai noodles which we thought were dry, it needed sauce of some kind on the vermicelli noodles. But the chicken was good and the salad was good and the crispy veggie egg roll that came with it was excellent.

I did not order too much since I came by myself. Been to many Thai places and this one is very good. The ingredients are very fresh! And the Tom Yom Soup is also very delicious. They also have great service to check on you. The seating is also very clean and quiet. I'd recommend this Thai place!

I came here on a word-of-mouth recommendation, and I was intrigued before I even sat down. The restaurant itself is gorgeous. As soon as you walk in, you're greeted by a beautifully designed waiting area showcasing the restaurant's many awards and accolades. It immediately sets the tone that you're in for something special. We came with one goal: try as many things as possible. Saturdays are perfect for that because they offer dim sum. We started with the Pho Xiao Long Bao (Wagyu beef soup dumplings) and the Korean pancakes. The soup dumplings completely stole the show. Perfectly cooked, delicate wrappers, rich and flavorful broth, and with just a touch of chili oil...absolute perfection. I've had soup dumplings in many places, and these are hands down the best I've ever had. I say that with my whole chest. The Korean pancakes were also outstanding. Crispy on the outside, tender inside, with that perfect balance of savory and just a hint of sweetness. Every bite had great texture and flavor. For our entrées, my husband ordered the Banana Salmon. It was spectacular. It's one of those dishes that makes you question whether you've ever really had good curry before. The spice wasn't about heat, it was about depth, warmth, and layers of beautifully balanced flavor. I ordered the Crab&Shrimp Tom Yum Coconut Fried Rice, and this dish deserves its own paragraph. The presentation alone is stunning. The fried rice is served inside a fresh coconut, surrounded by banana leaves and topped with a beautiful orchid. But thankfully, it tastes every bit as incredible as it looks. The coconut adds a delicate sweetness without overpowering the dish. The crab was plentiful, sweet, and incredibly fresh, while the shrimp were perfectly cooked, not a second overdone. Dishes like this require impeccable timing because every ingredient cooks differently, and somehow every single component was flawless. It was one of the best fried rice dishes I've ever eaten. The service was equally impressive. Everyone was warm, attentive, and happy to offer recommendations based on their most popular dishes. They even told us about their live music nights, which immediately gave us another reason to come back. The table next to us was having Pho and needed with the mango sticky rice and I am coming back for that. Overall, 1618 Asian Fusion delivered on every level, beautiful atmosphere, exceptional food, and genuinely welcoming service. It's one of those restaurants that leaves you planning your next visit before you've even paid the bill. Highly recommend!

The restaurant itself has a lot of indoor and outdoor seating, as well as a bar. It seems like a nice place to have a meal. As for the food, we ordered: Pad thai with chicken, mild spice - unfortunately this was a bit dry for me, though the taste was good. Pad see ew with chicken - I liked their version and would probably get it again. Pad woon sen with pork - typically my favorite noodle dish and I think they did a good job. Garden roll - good but not as packed as others I've had, and at a higher price point. Pineapple fried rice with pork - I liked this but was a bit on the oily side. Tom kha soup - I thought this was very good and had a decent amount of chicken and mushrooms Overall I liked everything but some items I felt I had better versions of elsewhere. It's also on the pricier side. Still, if in central Austin I think it's a solid choice for Thai food.

There were so many new dishes that caught my eye, but I immediately gravitated toward the Creamy Crab Curry and it was absolutely the right choice. The curry was rich, creamy and packed with flavor while the fried soft-shell crab was perfectly cooked and added a great texture to the dish. Honestly, it's the kind of meal I could see myself ordering every week. My partner went with the Lost Recipe, which looked just as delicious. You can never really go wrong with fried chicken, and this version certainly didn't disappoint. The service was equally impressive. Our server was friendly, attentive and checked in regularly throughout the meal. She even brought us a complimentary crab pastry to try, which was a thoughtful touch and much appreciated. One thing to note this place gets busy, especially during lunch so plan accordingly. That said, the food and service are well worth it and the menu is reasonably priced. Kiin Di has successfully made the jump from food truck to full-service restaurant and it's definitely earned a spot on my regular rotation.

The crispy pork is crispy, but also soft once you hit the meat. It is a good choice for those who don't like only crispy skin, or only meat. It's the best of both worlds. The pad Thai is nicely moist without being too soggy. It's sticky at most. Once you mix it with the bean sprouts, it comes out perfect. I also recommend their Thai tea!
