Inside is nice, seating for small groups or large groups. Full bar. The service is excellent. My only complaint is they don't have mixed drinks. They had shots, draft, bottles, and margaritas. I wanted an old fashioned. They don't do that. The food is phenomenal. I enjoyed it enough to come back a half a dozen times while staying in the area for work. We went with a group of friends once and they all got something different. They all enjoyed their meals. I tend to lean towards the pineapple curry, papaya salad and eggrolls. Everything tasted authentic. Do be careful when ordering spicy this location does not hold back. Their Thai spicy is no joke. I enjoyed spicy Thai food but not like this. Order medium your first time, and then see what your tolerance is.

We absolutely love this place hands down one of the best Thai food places in Austin. We went with our friends and ordered few different meals to be able to review properly, Appetizers: Fried calamari - the aioli that comes with it is amazing. The calamari was a bit on the chewer side. Shrimp Spring Rolls - this was fresh and flavorful Garlic edamame - just the right amount of garlic in the right amount of seasoning. Truly the best. Main dishes: Yellow seafood curry- it was creamy, flavorful and just the right amount of mix of seafoods. Red vegetable curry - this was on the spiced side maybe i should have mentioned to have low spicy one but still really creamy and flavorful and loaded with veggies, Lamb curry - this was the star of the show, creamy, coconut flavor the only thing that i would say is the lamb was a tinny bit on the chewer side but other than that AMAZING. Pad Thai with chicken and shrimp. Cooked to perfection noodles, it did lack a bit on the protein that was in there but other than that flavor was on point. Dessert: Coconut ice cream - oh my god i want a whole pint of this. It was sooo good, the flavor, the crushed peanut on top. Sticky sweet rice with Mango - I'm not fan of sticky rice but it was not bad. The mangos were amazing on the side though. We love the service, they are always very attentive and has a very chill and relax vibe. Overall from all their 3 locations this is by far my favorite and one i love visiting.

The pineapple red curry was delicious. Chicken satay was served slightly undercooked though :/ The portions are decent sized but the restaurant seems overpriced for the quality and vibe.

Very consistent and has become a staple in my rotation. The food is full of complex flavors and goes well with rice. Be sure to ask for the fish sauce with cut chili. Their Thai tea is one of the better that I've had in Austin as well. Service is friendly, and the place feels clean. Definitely come check this place out.

I tried Sip Saam Thai for the first time and got some panang curry to go. It was very good! Lots of flavor in the curry and the chicken was cooked very w I think I asked for a level 5 or 6 spice and it was not super spicy at all! Service was great as far as ordering online and how fast they were. They also wrapped up the curry in an extra bag to avoid any messes with spilling which I really appreciate. Overall, definitely recommend!

We ordered takeout from Sip Saam Thai in Austin, and the food completely exceeded our expectations. It's not always easy to find Thai dishes that travel well, but everything we picked up held its flavor, texture, and freshness beautifully. We tried the eggplant, pad see ew, drunken noodles, and crab fried rice, and each dish had its own charm. Even as a takeout experience, everything felt restaurant-quality. The packaging kept the dishes warm without getting soggy, and the portion sizes were filling without being overly heavy. Pickup was quick, organized, and the staff seemed genuinely friendly.

Your spice tolerance may vary. When asked if the scale of 1 - 10 was "Thai spicy" or "white person spicy," I was told it was Thai spicy and tempered my request accordingly and went with a mere 2. Next time, I would easily ramp that up to 5 or 6, but fortunately, the food is flavorful, fresh, and well-seasoned all the same. Best of all, they don't just understand requests for vegan dishes; they have a whole separate vegan menu! You've gotta ask for it is all. There, you'll find the predictable tofu and veggie options as well as more exciting mock duck and chicken (seitan/wheat-based.) My favorite was the meatless duck, which is super tender and savory. I don't usually go for pad Thai, but theirs is not bad! Chewy noodles, moderately sweet sauce, and your protein of choice. I adored the eggplant tofu, which has meltingly tender vegetables in a garlicky basil-flecked brown sauce. There's so much to try- I'll definitely be back!

Met some longtime friends here when one was in town visiting a couple weeks ago. The food was yummy, but it wasn't as spicy (chili hot) as we thought. I try to be careful when ordering spicy food at Thai restaurants but I and my daughter can handle and like a lot of heat, so both of us were expecting the food to be spicier for the levels we picked. Other than that, the service was great. We were seated in a back booth/table area and despite there not being that many people there it was not easy to hear each other and I'm not sure why. I can't recall if maybe they were playing music or there was something else going on. The portions were generous so we were able to take some home, which I always like!

This place was a lovely little gem that we stumbled upon. We ordered the lemonade to start and my friend loved it. Then we got egg rolls that came out piping hot! After the appetizer we moved on to dinner. My friend and I both got chicken pad Thai and it was incredible! When the Check came, I paid and looked at her and said "happy birthday!" The server told us not to leave and she brought out a birthday ice cream for her. She split it with me, I felt the coconut ice cream with peanuts was not the greatest combination. It was greatly appreciated though. I would absolutely return again and get other items! I am curious about the crab rangoon's and the sticky rice dessert.

Great place to get Thai food. Spacious and clean dining area with high ceilings and upbeat ambiance. Service was on point, never had an empty dish or empty glass sitting on the table. The pumpkin curry was delicious. I've been looking for this in the area for some time and glad I finally found it. If you're sensitive to spicy food, keep your dishes below level 3, you'll thank me later.

it's decent thai food and authentic flavor, the service is ok. we were seated close to the kitchen, there's strong kitchen exhaust throughout the whole time of dining. the service was a bit slow, hard to get their attention to order or get anything. chicken wing app didnt wow me, but the lamb shank curry is pretty good flavor and good to go with rice. the sizzling short ribs is enjoyable. tender juicy.

Sip Saam Thai remains a restaurant with delicious Thai food. Their chicken pad thai, papaya salad and calamari all deserve chef's kiss. Be warned though, their medium spicy leans towards the spicier side. So be careful if you can't tolerate too much spiciness. Service was quick and their interior lighting is slightly dim, which makes for a nice place for any type of outing (date night, family night out, etc).

As someone who loves Thai food, I knew I had to give Sip Saam Thai a try. So I went with my family for my last dinner in Austin, and wow - no regrets whatsoever. Sip Saam started us off with drinks and a pot of Tom Yum soup with seafood. Both were incredible in taste and portion size - just that there was too much ice in the Thai Tea - but we were able to share the soup between the 5 of us and still had some left! Then came the yellow curry, pad thai, and spare ribs. The yellow curry came with a plate of rice, but we felt it wasn't enough given the large bowl of curry, so we actually ended up ordering more rice separately. Same for the Thai pork spare ribs - both dishes just had such rich flavor that needed a little bit more rice to balance it out. Otherwise, we have no complaints - how can we when the meat is so succulent that it comes right off the bone? I was certainly gagged. o_o The pad thai was also very delicious: a little sweet and sour, but not heavy on either. I particularly liked how they left the peanuts and lime on the side, so individual customers can adjust the flavor to their liking! Lastly, I always love getting mango sticky rice for dessert at Thai places, but Sip Saam has made my favorite iteration of this dish *ever*. The mangos were so delicious and ripe, not sour at all - and the sweetness was tuned to be just perfect. Simply lovely, that one; I should have ordered another plate to take home! In short, Sip Saam Thai is a master at everything they offer. The kindness and accommodation of the friendly staff is just the cherry on top. Our one little wish is that they changed up the selection of background music from time to time, because it definitely sounded like they were playing the same three tracks the entire time we were there Until next time!

    Is this place pet friendly?

    No.

Does anyone happen to know if the curries are made with coconut milk/okay for a vegan?

They are made with coconut milk but might have fish sauce so just ask and they might be able to do it without.

Are they closed for renovations as of 10/25 as someone posted? But I see current reviews?

Hi! We closed on 10/25 but have re-opened for our regular hours. Hope to see you!
