Came here for lunch time and found out that they have salad bar open for lunches! What a pleasant surprise! They have eggrolls and spring rolls at the salad bar as well two different options of soups! We ordered pad thai and yellow curry they were both delicious but we were already getting a little full from the salad bar so we had to take our curry to go! Service was good, there were many servers there to accommodate for the busy lunch crowd! Nice place! Would like to try other items on the menu as well!
First time coming to this Thai restaurant. We ordered pad Thai and curry they were pretty favorable and got texture especially on pad thai! What I also liked was salad and soup as well as some other side dishes and sweet buffet! I really enjoyed the vegetarian soup! To me, that was the best thing out of all the items I tried! Lunch special is definitely recommended time to go there! Cheers
We enjoyed very friendly, fast service on an early Friday night. The food was very tasty, came out piping and large portions. The food and service was great, the improvement points would be in regards to curb appeal and look. It could a little refresh but overall a great experience.
Ordered lunch to go from here and overall really enjoyed my meal. I also appreciated how well they packed everything to make sure nothing would leak out. That being said, I do wish the portion size was better especially for the price.
Hunger strikes during a shopping trip and we are around research boulevard, Anuya gets a craving for Thai food, so the first thought was Thai Ladda on Parmer. Then I realized that we haven't tried a new Thai place in a while. Luckily Thai cuisines was in the same direction and closer and there was a mention of buffet on the side which was intriguing so off we went. They have nice shaded outside seating although the metal table and chairs could be better, inside is nice too. We got the cashew chicken and Pad kee mow with fried Tofu. Lunch meals come with the salad , soup and dessert buffet station which was awesome. The soups were very good, the salad choices were decent and the pearl pudding was delicious. Our main course dishes were good too. One warning though, spice level 2/5 can be spicy still, its safe to go with 1 if you are not sure. The service was good and we are going to be back here again.
During weekday lunch, you can easily make a meal from the all you can eat soup and salad bar at Thai cuisine. It costs $12.95 as of April 2025. On my Wednesday visit, they didn't have my favorite items on the bar, but it was still very good and a good lunch. For soup they had Tom Yum and Tom Jerd, which I hadn't tried before, but it was very tasty. They had spring rolls, both soft and fried, both of which had tofu inside. There was a decent salad with nice fresh lettuce, sliced cucumbers, tomatoes, dried cranberries, carrots, etc., along with peanut sauce, honey mustard sauce, and an unmarked sauce that was sweet but complex. The dessert is a sweet tapioca pudding. It seemed to me that they had dialed down the heat on the Tom Yum soup and perhaps on the Tom Jerd. That's OK by me, but some people might prefer the spicy versions. Apparently, they rotate the soup/salad bar items on weekdays. I talked to a server, who told me that a couple of my favorites, Crab Rangoon and Tom Gha soup, are on the buffet bar on Tuesdays, so I'll make a point of coming back some Tuesday. The entrées that I have ordered here in the past were good, I thought, although to my taste, I've had better Thai here in Austin, and certainly in Thailand. This place gets busy around lunchtime, but the servers are friendly and efficient, and the noise level is not terrible.
I would say that I like the space here. The inside is spacious and nice for like a casual sit down. Comfortable vibes. Our server was super friendly. Had the fried tofu, egg rolls, and pad Thai. I would say that the sweet and sour sauce for the tofu was a little watery for me personally, could pack more of a flavor punch. I think the pad Thai was pretty tasty! The egg rolls are great too.
I knew I've been here in the past but wasn't sure so we came for lunch one afternoon about 12:30ish. It was moderately busy and patrons kept coming. We placed our order then went up to the side bar. I started with the daily soup that was very flavorful, and also tried a spring roll, took 1 bite and couldn't eat the rest, the eggroll appeared very thin with very little filling that was obvious. The sauces were not worth mentioning but did enjoy the soup. When the entrees arrived I the pad Thai portion was generous however the shrimp and soft tofu did not have any flavor, the flavor wasn't bad but could have used more flavor. The seafood combo my husband had were very skimpy, the squid was very chewy, it's the frozen squid that you see at the Asian stores. I was embarrassed for him since it was not much food at all for a man. Luckily he had some things from the side bar to help satisfy his hunger. While he was finishing up he pulled out something hairy or just eerie looking, I immediately grossed out or lost my lunch! I could not make it out so when we flagged the staff, we asked her what she thought it was, she acted just as perplexed as we as I was obviously still, super grossed. She took it to the kitchen and asked. She came back and said it was from the mussel shell, said it was seaweed like what looked to me like a leggy cricket or some sort of insect after that, somehow we didn't feel very confident with the cleanliness of the food. I immediately responded with "so it just wasn't cleaned well"? As she walked away with no apology. End to this experience. I have better establishments to frequent and will continue to remain in my comfort zone. Free doesn't necessarily mean good.
Tried this place out for lunch. They have a bar available that has all you want of two soups, a type of fried roll, spring roll, salad, toppings and some rice pudding looking thing for dessert. I ordered pad ke mao. I got half spice which has a nice kick. Everything tasted pretty good! Tom kha had a chicken grissle, but it happens. Still good!!! My entree came out really fast. People working there seemed really nice. I will definitely come back. Lunch special is a nice deal with alot of options!
My friends have raved about this place, especially for the unlimited soup and salad buffet. The unlimited soup and salad is only available during lunch, but they do offer lunch during the weekends which is nice. I was slightly hesitant to see how good this food was because most people talked about the value of this place. I ordered the Pad Thai with spice level 1 and was pleasantly surprised how good it tasted. I really liked the flavor and the spice level 1 was pretty spicy for me. If you are not a huge fan of spice, I would recommend no spice because spice level 1 was more spicy than I had expected. I thought the portion size was pretty good and the staff were super friendly. There was plenty of space on a Sunday afternoon and I'd come back to try their other dishes! I had the Tom Kha Gai soup from the soup and salad bar and it was really delicious. Spicy but the flavor was great.
I have gotten delivery and eaten here in person and they make the best Mussuman curry I've ever had. The tables are clean, the staff was kind. I saw them accommodate a table of 10 people with ease. Food comes out pretty quick and delicious. We are regulars and I don't know of any place that makes the mussuman curry as rich and flavorful as Thai Cuisine!
The pad soo wen had Raw eggs. Manager would not take it off the bill. The server said she would have to pay it if I didn't. So I was charged for a soup and one spring roll $14. The server was very nice. The soup and salad comes with the meal. I couldn't eat the meal at all. So if you went to a place like olive garden and the main course was inedible would they make you pay 12.95 for this? Terrible today. I've never had a bad experience before here.
We had a great time and great food here! We shared the pad see ew with beef, panang curry with tofu, and chicken teriyaki. The rice came in the shape of a heart, which was really cute. I liked the pad see ew the best. It was a perfect sweetness level for the sauce, and the beef tasted great. I also liked the panang curry and chicken teriyaki, although the portion for the chicken teriyaki was slightly smaller than I would expect. The service was excellent. Our server was very attentive and kind. Parking in the plaza's lot was full, but we found parking behind the restaurant. The restroom was clean.

Family brought in dinner from this restaurant a few nights ago. Delicious! Everything was great, but especially all the noodle dishes. I even enjoyed the tofu dish and tofu is not a favorite of mine. read more
Very lovely place, especially during lunch. They have an awesome soup and app bar! I've been here probably too much and each time I leave completely stuffed. The Thai tea is quite good especially on a hot summer day! Everyone here is so kind and friendly, always making sure everything is tasting good. Oh btw, it's Thai food so stuff tend to be spicy, beware! read more

Everything we ordered - cashew chicken and tofu glass noodles (pad see woon) was tasty. The buffet bar included a variety of appetizers like egg rolls, salad and soup. It was a great addition to the lunch meal. The price for the buffet seems to be factored into the individual menu items. The restaurant was quite packed on a Saturday and our server was very distracted. We had to constantly wave her over or wait to ask for basic items such as a straw or water. read more

The food and the service here is always amazing! I've had several of their curries, their pad, Thai, and their Pad See Ew. You can also order their dishes, with whatever type of meat you want and they have two different soups on a buffet along with Thai spring rolls, and fried eggrolls stew, as well as salad. If you have not been here before, I highly recommend you try them. You will go back, just like I've been doing.l! read more
It's the mini buffet that you get with your entree that always draws us back here. Today was no exception We love the little buffet, it's not a full buffet, but it compliments your entree very well. Today I ordered the L31, spicy lemongrass as my entree. I love lemongrass in various Asian dishes, especially when there's a little bit of heat mixed in with it. Today though it was very different. I have to say I did not like it very much simply because somebody must have slipped with the lime juice. It was so tart and so full of lime juice that was not at all enjoyable. I'm hoping this was a one-off but this just may be the way they make this particular dish. read more

i love thai cuisine! their lunch special allows you to get free soup, salad, and eggrolls if you order an entree. their eggrolls are so good and i love the soup as well. their pad thai is nothing special in my option but still solid if your craving pad thai. pad see ew was delicious and had the perfect noodles and flavor. pad kee mao is the best in my opinion bc it's the perfect combination of sweet and spicy/peppery, what i'm looking for in a good pad kee mao! read more
My favorite Thai restaurant in Austin. Incredible value, great flavor and service, and a go-to spot for me for all of the yummy basics: Pad Thai, Pad Se Ewe, fried rice, and mango sticky rice! Go for their amazing lunch special and get anything on the menu + their unlimited soup/appetizer/dessert bar - weekdays 11:30am-2:30pm and weekends 12pm-3pm! The best deal. OVERVIEW: A great value (fair pricing + generous portions) Thai restaurant with quick service, delicious food, wide variety of menu options, and convenient location. My go-to Thai spot in Austin. QUICK FACTS: - Parking? Yes! In a retail area with multiple restaurants. - Reservations? There's a button online, but not really needed for the most part. - Lunch specials? Yes! M-F 11:30am-2:30pm, Sat./Sun. 12pm-3pm! - Online ordering/delivery/takeout? Yes! FOOD RATINGS: - Pad Thai (5/5): The best Pad Thai, and I've tried plenty. This one always comes out perfectly balanced in flavor. The noodles are excellent, the sauce isn't too much of any one flavor, and the ingredients are always fresh. - Pad Se Ewe (5/5): Another favorite when I'm not in the mood for Pad Thai. Love the wide rice noodles and the sauce is great. I always add tofu + a protein. - Crispy Cheese Rolls (3/5): Eh, order the wildflower rangoons instead. These are just what they sound like - crispy fried cream cheese and mushrooms. Okay flavor but kind of boring, and the sauce seems like a mismatch. - Mango Sticky Rice (5/5): Love mango sticky rice! Their mango is always fresh and the rice is perfectly sticky with the great coconut milk sauce. Always a hit. read more

Pad See Ew Pad See Mao Crab fried rice Honestly, this is more like a two-star. It only gets another star because they do offer unlimited soups and salads with the purchase of a meal. The appearance of the dishes aren't bad, but the tastes are subpar. I could not finish my dish. Got the Pad See Ew and it was extremely sweet. Diluting it with water does not help it. Pad See Mao is kind of spicy/salty. It makes you want to drink a ton of water. Crab fried rice is bland. The service is also slow. It probably took 15 minutes from collecting our cards to when we could finally leave. read more
Thai Cuisine will be my new favorite lunch place right by work! I ordered the basil fried rice with pork level 2 spice was excellent. And for lunch they have soup, crab wontons, and salad available included in the price. Busy place but they turn tables quickly. There's a lot on the menu I need to try! read more
Came in for the lunch specials and was blown away. The salad/soup buffet had a good variety and the tom yum soup and egg rolls were delicious. The buffet also included salad, Tom jerd soup, and coconut tapioca dessert. I had the Pra Ram for my main dish and it was very tasty with a rich peanut sauce. The portion was good and you can fill up with buffet items too. For $14, I thought it was a really good lunch special. My only qualm was it was a bit hot in the restaurant, but we were seated by the entrance. I hope to come again for lunch. read more

I actually stumbled upon this spot by accident when trying to find a different Thai restaurant on Parmer. I was meeting with a friend who was about to leave town, and Thai Cuisine provided good food, good ambiance, and excellent service for a last shared meal. My friend and I went closer to closing, so the restaurant was pretty quiet and empty. Our waitress was extremely attentive, checking up on us regularly when we were looking at the menu and to refill our waters. And even though our conversation went a little long (past closing), she was still very kind and patient when giving us our check! Like most Thai restaurants I've been to, Thai Cuisine also doesn't mess around with spice. I ordered the Spicy Kra Pow with beef with the lowest level of spice, and I still needed to down two glasses of water by the time I finished it. They even shaped the rice into a heart, which was a nice touch (in my photo, I started eating the rice before remembering to take a picture)! If I were to eat here again, however, I would probably order the curry instead. I tried the yellow curry that my friend ordered, and I loved it! I felt that my rice was a little dry and the stir-fried beef was pretty tough. The sauce was also slightly watery, but it tasted amazing over the rice. This was a pleasant find and provided a great environment for me to see off my friend! Next time he visits, we may have to hit up this spot once again. read more
Stopped by after church on Sunday for lunch. Place was quite full, but we were immediately seated. Can't believe you can get all you can eat soup, egg rolls, and dessert on top of your entree. What an incredible bargain! Ordered the Ginger Tofu and flavor was very good. You would think they'd skimp on something, but everything tasted fresh and delicious. Wouldn't mind coming here every Sunday after church for lunch. read more

Currently my FAVORITE THAI place in Austin! I went through a year long stretch of trying thai restaurants often and I landed on Thai Cuisine as my favorite Thai food. This place is usually busy, but never too busy that I am waiting for a table for a while. I highly recommend trying this place with a group of people as the portion sizes are quite large and they have so many delicious dishes to try. I typically will choose the noodle dishes; however, I LOVE their curries here. The massuman and panaang are my favorite, SO creamy and rich! However, I will still not leave my noodle dishes behind. I recommend the pad kee mao and the pad see ew. Both have such tasty flavor. The vibe here is causal, so definitely check this place out when you are looking to have a chill evening with a date or small group of friends. read more
I've been coming to Thai cuisine for years, like 5+ years. I'm never disappointed. Food is always good, staff is always polite and they don't helicopter, which I appreciate. Food comes out quickly, and portions are generous. I've gotten the tom kha, green curry, basil fried rice, pad kee mao, nam tok, Thai tea, and idr what else lol everything I've had so far is good. I usually get spice level 1 or 2, and that's enough for me. Anything higher and I think I might sweat lol. (For reference, I've successfully done a hot ones challenge, and started tearing up on sauce 7 out of 10.) It's such a little thing, but I love that they shape the rice into a heart when you order curry. And I like that they don't skimp on rice when they serve the curry. Great for takeout or dine-in service, I highly recommend Thai cuisine! read more
I judge a Thai place based off their pad Thai and this place has the best Pad Thai in Austin. It's a great balance of sweet, salty and spicy (if you request it). Some Pad Thai's that I've had can be aggressive with the tamarind but Thai Cuisine does great. Other really great dishes are the basil fried rice, pad ped gang deng (it's like a stir fry dish with a red curry sauce) and the som tum salad! A really great tip about this place is if you go during lunch they have an appetizer buffet. Soups, featured hot appetizer, salad bar and veggie spring rolls. You pay for an entree and you can enjoy the appetizer buffet for free. You can fill up on the appetizers and take your entree for dinner. read more
