The fried chicken was cooked to perfection - flavorful, light and filling. The sauces were so good! We got medium spice level, which was pretty good but I think I'll try one level up (spicy) next time for more of a kick. If you're a spice lover I'd recommend that. I preferred the Kai Prao because of the diverse flavor profile and the addition of bell peppers for some crunch. Yum! All orders are served with a side of white rice and their house salad. Food truck in a really nice food truck pod. Shaded, plenty of space for kids to run around and super friendly staff. They said it would be about 20 minutes for food since they were slammed, but I appreciate knowing it was made to order, so no problems there. Tried the Kaeng Panaeng and it was good overall. Huge portion size but wasn't quite what I was expecting. Salad was pretty standard but I'm glad they kept it separate so it wouldn't wilt from the heat. As for the chicken, I was hoping by itself it would be more thai inspired/marinated/seasoned but it's effectively just chopped up chicken tenders to be dunked in the curry. The curry is flavorful, albeit a bit watery, which I wish was reduced a bit. But if curry is not your thing, my friend's Kai Zabb was very good: tangy, sweet and heat all at once, so good to really switch up bites. And while I wasn't expecting sticky rice, I can't help but say it's the first time I've had thai fried chicken without it. I have visited Kai zabb twice in 1 week with different guest and have only had positive experiences. The food is worth it in flavor and quantity, truly delicious, my goodness. Pictured is the kra prao and I later tried the Kia zabb dish. All menu items come with a salad with homemade yummy dressing, rice and perfectly fried (good portion) chicken and whatever sauce you've chosen from the menu so if placing an order for delivery the chicken doesn't arrive soggy, and if eating in your person the sauce comes in the side as well and you can add as much as wanted. It's a guaranteed great experience which is why I have never had any doubt when recommending it to another! This food truck is serving up one of the most unique and delicious fried chicken dishes with a Thai twist my husband and I ever had. Their fried chicken with curry (kaeng panaeng and kaeng kari) hits different--crispy, juicy (not oily), perfectly seasoned, and paired with a rich, flavorful curry that's comforting and addicting. Definitely a perfect choice for anyone who's a fan of the Japanese chicken curry dish. You can also tell they use only the freshest and highest quality ingredients--the flavors are vibrant, and everything tastes so thoughtfully prepared. It's comfort food elevated to the next level! Kai Zabb is so good I want to keep it all for myself. And simultaneously tell everyone I know to come eat here. Small menu because everything is a hit, with huge portions and fresh crispy chicken. Ordering in advance is a good idea - since everything is made to order there's always a wait, but if you aren't sure what to get the owner/chef is very friendly and is happy to chat about the menu. The sauces are really what makes this S-tier, the hedonist in me wants to bathe in them. Light and thin, perfect for dunking or drizzling, and packed with flavor. Basil chicken (Kra-Prao) is my favorite so far. Don't be scared to get it spicy! Kai Tod is the least exciting, very sweet and sticky, but perfect for simpler (or younger) palates. Everything comes with a mountain of rice and a side salad, too. And the leftovers reheated very well the next day! The sitting area for the truck is spacious and cozy; big tables, lots of happy plants, and with a large shade cover overhead - secluded enough to sit down and have a conversation (between stuffing your mouth with chicken...)
