This is now my neighborhood "go to" quasi food truck. This morning I bought two bacon and egg tacos with homemade corn tortillas. Yum! I like that blend the eggs with bacon pieces so it feels like one cohesive taco. They had me at homemade tortillas. Having grown up in San Antonio, TX...home of Tex-Mex, you can always tell homemade tortillas v store bought ones. The flavor of these tortillas are distincitive. I enjoyed every, single mouthful. Today I called a head to place my order. When arrived Fernanda asked my name, she rang up my tacos for $5 in total and I was off for my morning exercise regiment. Every time I visit Austin, I make it a point to try a new taqueria, especially since I live in SA. I was in a bit of a rush on my way to an appointment, so I was pleased to know Jessica's was on the way because I have had it saved for a while. I was greeted as soon as I walked in. Placed my order - 1 migas taco, please. He asked if I would like anything else, what type of salsa - hottest, of course, and dine in or to go. They took "to go" more seriously than other place ever because my food was out before I could even finish looking around. This was much appreciated since I was already in a rush. Came here after a few people recommended. It's located in a very cool area with a bunch of other food trucks so you can try a bunch of different things. Ended up ordering the chicken burrito which was good. Perfect portion for lunch but it wasn't anything spectacular. Would love to try some other things on their menu. So surprising to find authentic, tasty tacos in north Austin, and a food truck at that! I enjoyed the pastor and barbacoa tacos and their prices definitely can't be beat. The cashiers/cooks were very nice and playful and overall it was just a good vibe! I also like that they had enclosed seating area that made it feel a little cooler on a hot day. They also sell health juices made with pineapple, chard, spinach, etc. I didn't get to try it this time, but will definitely be returning to try their health juices in the future read more

We have tried many tortas in Austin, and this spot truly stands out as the best barbacoa torta so far. The portion is very generous--be prepared, it is huge. While the single meat taco was average, the quesabirria was quite good, and the consomé was exceptional, with one of the richest flavors we have experienced. The staff was very kind and welcoming; although they did not speak much English, their hospitality made the visit all the more enjoyable. I stopped in here after church for some breakfast tacos. You often find the best food at trailer parks. The place was clean, and the service was prompt. My breakfast tacos were prepared upon ordering; they were not sitting around waiting to be claimed. Delicious and fresh. My only suggested change is free water. I do not want to contribute to single use plastic bottles, so I take a water bottle everywhere I go. They declined to fill it, and that made me sad. A simple plastic water cooler in the dining area would have made this perfect. read more

Taos are goo but I came and ordered and menudo and it tasted like water and salt not sure what happened here :/ . Service was good however when I called to let them know that the menu though she basically told me that that's how it's supposed to taste, but I come from South Texas on the border and I know what Menudo taste like, unfortunately, this was not it. Limited seating with 4 covered tables Asada fries. Birria Tacos. Quesidilla meal. I'd get the birria tacos over the Asada fries. The cheese on the asada fries are a no go and peeled of the plate. Found our new FAVORITE taco spot near our house! Can't believe we've missed out on this place all this time. In a small food trailer park I've driven by many times, just never noticed I guess. We tried campechano, al pastor, barbacoa & bistec tacos. My favorite was campechano, then al pastor next - more flavorful 2 out of the 4. My husband also liked barbacoa which was super tender. What made this place stand out are the housemade corn tortillas and the refrigerated fresh salsas. My husband and I always past this joint and it is always busy with customers. We finally made plans to check them out on a Saturday morning. It wasn't too busy and there was plenty of open seating which was nice. The tacos are made to order and I love that they serve it with three different salsas (mild to hot). I tried their chorizo potato and egg taco and barbacoa. Both were tasty. Their barbacoa was really delicious and not too greasy. I have a rotation of spots for breakfast tacos and Taqueria Jessica is at the top of my list. The tortillas stand out above Rudy's, Jim's, Taco Deli and are the best. They aren't mushy and extra thick. The salsas, which define breakfast tacos taste like someone studied the Taco Deli salsas (Dona, Rojas. habanero) and reconstructed them. Always fresh and delicious. The ingredients are fresh and the brisket and egg (and all others) have the right balance of ingredients. Many choices, and very local feel. Not overpriced and always delicious. read more

I usually order some breakfast tacos (Migas or other classic bacon egg and cheese) but I've ordered most of their tacos and can say that they're pretty delicious! The staff here are always nice. Kept seeing this taco truck after a Costco or Goodwill run and finally got to try it out! It's in a parking lot behind Trader Joe's and always seemed busy with folks every time I drove by so figured it had to be good. Rolled in on a Thursday afternoon after the lunch rush as we were able to snag a table right by the truck with the husband and our 5 year old. I got an order of lengua tacos while my husband got some queso birria tacos with consommé and got the kiddo a plain quesadilla with fries. The tacos were good, especially with the side of spicy green salsa to top it with! I tried one of the queso birria tacos, they were tasty! Kiddo got full after eating half of his meal so I ate some of his fries and the seasoning they put on them were pretty good; not too much but enough for the fries not be bland. It's one of those places that if I could give it TEN stars, I would. I guarantee the most delicious (authentic) street tacos around here, and worth the trip from anywhere! There is a plate with 3 tacos beans and rice under $10 and you have your choice of fillings: pollo, carnitas, carne asada. But each time I go, I must get a birria taco stuffed with the most tastily, mouth tender beef and cheese and lightly grilled, served with a small container of consommé with bits of meat. I typically don't get cheese on my tacos, but the first time they did it without asking and, boy am I glad they did!!! I also get two of the other tacos The beans are good, the rice is very ordinary. I don't even eat the rice, but my hubby does with my consommé on it. He has always gotten a plate. It's about twice the price, and both his choices has been fantastic. The meat is piled high and even tastier than what they put on the street tacos (which seems impossible!) but it's cooked with large pieces of peppers and onions, etc. I think two could share a plate and make your own street tacos, but I like the variety of my tacos and he doesn't want to share! Not only is everything fresh and made-to-order, but they are seriously the most delicious tacos we've ever had. We were so sad we couldn't try the birria (they only have them on certain days) but we tried a decent variety of tacos and wished we didn't live in Pittsburgh at that moment so that we could frequent this taco shop! As if the filling wasn't delicious enough the corn and flour tortillas are homemade as well as a variety of salsas that your tacos will be served with. Flavors I'd been craving exploded all over my taste buds. Juicy deliciousness! The consumé was on point, the cheesy goodness in the taco, and the meat was so fantastic! The quesadilla was great too...very cheesy! We were given a green hot sauce for both the tacos and the quesadilla. It was ok, not great. I always saw this beautiful food truck when leaving Costco, I finally stopped by and glad I did ! When I walked up to the truck I saw their amazing advertisements for their high quality food . Pictures were clean and clear , prices were very visible . I had heard about birria tacos and saw their sign . I walked up and immediately greeted, I felt very welcomed here! I got three birria tacos with chicken . I waited only 10 minutes for food they have outdoor seating which is very nice . I heard my order number and got my food . I raced back to my car to eat ! The smell was phenomenal ! I opened the container and thought this would be a snack before dinner but wow these three tacos were stuffed , filling and the dipping sauce was delicious. The chicken was succulent and not dry, no fatty pieces . Every bite had flavor . Everything was packaged nicely and cleanly , the food was to die for .
