When you walk into the French Quarter Grill you feel like you are smack dab in the middle of the French Quarter in New Orleans, LA. Fleur-de-lis', masks, purple, green & gold colors, and jazz instruments permeate the French Quarter Grille. Jaimie, our server, welcomed us with the biggest Texas smile and exuded friendliness. My friend ordered fried catfish, carrots and rice, whereas I ordered blackened catfish with crawfish and brown sauce along with carrots and rice. My entree also came with a garden salad, which was fresh with slivered almonds. Our dishes were delightful and quite tasty. My friend also had a cosmopolitan, which said was a bit strong yet very refreshing.

So we found this place on Google Maps as one of the closest and good price point. It is in an unassuming building on a side of a highway, which turned out to be a food court. The type where you order at an online kiosk and wait for it to be ready. The food court itself is rather plain but it's not really of importance. Very happy we gave it a shot! The Crab & Shrimp feast for two was a great deal for the amount of food and price. We ordered it with Cajun Heat which was just on point. We also added some catfish to the order. Overall, super happy with everything we ordered and will come back for it! But likely for a takeout next time, since they don't sell alcohol in the food court, and we definitely could use some beers with the meal. :D

We ordered our usual: 2 lbs of crawfish with their whole shabang sauce mild, we included 3 potatoes, 7 sausages, and 1 corn to the bag, a side of rice, cajun fries, and a margarita. We finished at 7:10 pm, which is like the quickest boiling crab experience ever! Thoughts: -Sauce is not the authentic boiling crab sauce, it is way less seasoned and had an odd aftertaste. Ca and Dallas ones are 10000% much better.. tasting wise, but I've also never been to a boiling crab where they've messed up the sauce?? cuz cmon! the sauce is the best part!!! -Sausages are TINY compared to other boiling crab restaurants we've been to -I don't normally dip my crawfish in the lime/salt&pepper cuz you honestly don't really need it, but I dipped it in there for every single bite this time around.. hence, the sauce.... -Menus on napkin holder aka QR code -Gloves were the only solid thing here! We will not be frequenting this boiling crab location anymore. Waste of money! Overall, boiling crab is honestly like the best besides all the waiting, but if the sauce isn't good, then it's not worth it cuz you really are there for the sauce. Parking spots are limited near the restaurant, and people ought to park better cuz some people just can't park. Get there early to avoid that and to lessen your wait time. Servers were attentive and nice.

I found this place on TikTok and looked up the location and we just drove straight to it. When we arrived I was confused because I expected a restaurant, but instead a food truck. Was I a little skeptical? Of course, I couldn't lie. Regardless, the reviews were great and their food looked amazing on TikTok. I ordered a #3, which came with 1/2 crab, 10 shrimp, 1 sausage, 1 egg, and 1 corn for $30. The seasoning I added was "lil kick" and Chili Limón. When we got back to our hotel, the food was still warm and I cannot say this enough... it was amazing. Absolutely 10/10. The crab was perfectly cooked and the seasoning was perfect. The shrimp came out so smooth and the potatoes were BOMB. I wish I took a picture before eating it all!

(eg. step one your plate, step 2 flavors etc.) and then he pointed at a sign on the side of the food truck which says was severely damaged and peeled off. We got #6 I believe which was 1lb of crab, 15 shrimp with sausage, one egg and one corn. Flavors were lemon pepper and Cajun but we asked for the mild option. I also emphasized on mild (bc I have acid reflux). The guy said to give him 15-20 min. 20 min go by and he said it would be ready in about 20min when we attempted to pick it up. Overall 40+ min for overly spicy (not mild at all) plate. I wouldn't come back here. Some of the crab legs barely had any meat in them too. I came here bc I didn't realize the other crab place in Pflugerville was closed.

Walking in, I was flooded with memories of older times, where I would saddle up to the bar with a mate and start into so Oysters/beer and laughs. Not much has changed, which I found comforting. We were graciously welcomed and lead over to our table. My team was there and we all ordered some drinks. It as lunch, so no beers for me today. As I almost forgot how full and simple the menu was. All sorts of stuff I forgot, including the alligator bites, which a colleague purchased, so others could try. Small knock on this, they weren't as punchy as I recall, perhaps a tad overcooked, but nonetheless, entertaining. I ordered a sweet tea.. haven't have that in a leap year or more. It was perfect! There was so much damage I wanted to do to the menu, but in the end, I settled for the Crispy Salmon and Jumbo Crab. There was no sparing the butter on this dish. Salmon, I mean I cook a great deal of Salmon, was an absolute gem. Crispy and not overcooked and the Jumbo Crab was a nice addition. It did come with a different broccolini, which was a little undercooked, but I'm really being picky here. I ate it all and left butter on the plate. A complete no-no. The ambiance was like it always has been. Busy, colourful and well appointed. Our server, was very knowledgeable about the menu and another colleagues allergy. They checked a couple times to make sure there wouldn't be any mistakes in the kitchen. That was appreciated. I found myself wishing they were closer to my next of the woods, W71/Old Bee Caves road, since it would be another place to frequent again.
