Location had me all jumbled coming right off the highway but thankfully the HUGE sign showed me exactly where to go. The restaurant is absolutely beautiful with a very nice bar and lots of seating. I visited on a Monday during happy hour lunch time at 230. It was so clean and quiet with light background music. Either I just missed a lunch rush and they cleaned up real good or no one came to eat but I believe the former since the staff was on point! My server had the perfect pace of checking on me, making sure my glass of water was always full. The bussers kept my table clean and clear every time I finished a plate. Food showed up within 3-5 minutes of ordering. Fantastic service. Onto the food quality. Everything that was expected to be hot came out fresh and hot. The edamame was beautifully steamy and ACTUALLY lightly salted. The crab rangoons were creamy and hot. The egg roll was crunchy, flavor profile a little bland but good. I understand we are landlocked and don't expect the best fish but the big three hit the spot of what I was craving. The salmon was melt in your mouth. I wish it were more chilled to have a more refreshing taste to complement the heat but it was still an A+. The tuna was a little dry and fishy. Had to mask with ginger. The yellowtail was good, no complaints. I was very impressed with the Alaska Roll I was served. I asked if they can make it into a hand roll and it did not disappoint! It was a perfect balance of smoked salmon avocado cucumber and rice. The rice was a little sweet which I liked when dipping into soy sauce. Dessert was so simple clean and light. Nice cold ice cream with tempura banana made the perfect "banana split". I had to order two orders because it was so good. I couldn't recommend this place any more for the price! $24 for lunch AYCE. $36 for dinner AYCE.

I went there for our company celebration. It is a high-end all-you-can-eat sushi place. It is very clean, and the crew are super friendly. I was very impressed by the quality of the raw food they provided. If you like more well-cooked stuff, they have that as well, especially eels. Overall, it was a fantastic experience visiting the place. I would definitely want to come back if I visit Austin again.
Pretty good variety of the menu, and the server was very attentive and helpful. The raw appetizer dishes are is pretty good. My favorites were Salmon Tataki and Chili Yellowtail. The sauce was tasty. However, the sushi/sashimi and rolls were honestly unrelenting. The rolls seriously lack in flavor, and I wish they were smaller cause they were too filling after one order. The Steak hibachi was okay but a little too salty, and the fried rice was too blend.
Phenomenal experience eating here for dinner on a Saturday evening. Easy to find parking in the shared parking lot with Fast Eddie's next door. Quickly seated after walking in and given menus. This place is AYCE, with drinks extra. Drink prices are lower than other restaurants of similar caliber. Drinks came out fast, and were delicious. Food also came out fast, about 5 minutes after ordering. This place was packed full, yet service remained quick throughout our time there. Excellent portion sizes and very tasty as well. Each sashimi was sliced about 3/4 cm thick. There's a limit of 20 sashimi pieces per order, but you can order multiple times during your two-hour limit. Interior decor comes across as upscale, with the elevator music not blaring loud. A couple of TV's in the bar area kept our time there interesting. This place has the best value for sushi and drinks in Austin. We felt like we got our money's worth even when each adult runs $36. Much better experience here than Sushi Bang Bang nearby.
Excellent new spot! There was plenty of seating on a weeknight and the layout and decor was built out nicely. The sashimi was top tier. The sushi rolls were pretty tasty although many contain fried ingredients. My only concern was the two special items I got were not good.. I'd want to deduct a star but the service deserved 6 stars alone so I will keep it at 5. Our server was Lauren and she was the best server we've ever had! She assured us about our food allergy concerns and was over all amazing. Definitely wanted to make this our new go to spot for her alone, buuuttttt she let us know she was moving on to something else because she's almost finished with school. Lauren did assure us she was trained by the best and that everyone else there is amazing like her. Definitely going back soon!
I kept seeing Oumi on social media, so my friend and I decided to meet there for lunch. They technically had only soft opened and the grand opening wasn't for another week or so, so I called ahead of time just to make sure they were open. Parking is free and easy in the shared lot out front. I got a spot close to the front of the restaurant and then headed inside. The inside of the restaurant is very impressive and well done. Lots of boots and tables and the decor is really well presented. Everything looks very clean, as well. The employees are also right there as soon as you walk in the door, and they are all friendly. The rolls for me were a bit of a miss, because every one of the special rolls had tempura. The quality of the fish was ok, but none of the rolls really stood out to me. I don't typically like tempura and usually gravitate toward non-tempura rolls, but that wasn't really possible here unless you wanted regular rolls (California Roll, Alaska Roll, Boston Roll, etc) or nigiri (which we got a few pieces of). The lunch prices are definitely solid ($23 per adult) and the sushi was fine, so based on price alone I do think it's worth it. However, now that I have tried it, I don't think I'll make the trick all the way out there again, unfortunately!
My wife and I came here for my birthday in late February and I really had a great time. I took the day off in order to get the lunch prices because the dinner prices are a bit much. I was pleasantly surprised by the speed at which the sushi came out, the friendliness of the staff, the cleanliness of the place, and of course the sushi. I did venture in having the tempura from the appetizer menu, but if you're here for the sushi just focus on that because some of them are extremely heavy due to being deep fried. These things all together made me love this place a lot. I know that Sushi Bang Bang is a few minutes drive away from here, but I think there was a lot more to offer and experience at this restaurant than over there. One last thing: My wife and I were completely surprised that this place actually existed since there was nothing in that spot for some time and then it seemed like in no time at all OUMI was open to the public. So if you were like us and missed this palce, please go give this restaurant a try.
3.8/5 This is a solid all-you-can-eat sushi spot and a good option if you're craving sushi without breaking the bank. The salmon nigiri and sashimi were a bit fishy, but still acceptable for the price point. Most of the rolls didn't really stand out, though the Black Dragon roll was my favorite since eel is hard to mess up. I also enjoyed the double salmon roll, especially with the sriracha sauce, which added a nice kick. The other fried rolls weren't very memorable and felt more average compared to the rest of the menu. One of the highlights was the atmosphere. The interior is beautiful, modern, and very spacious, making it a great place for birthdays, celebrations, or dining with a larger group. On top of that, the service was excellent. Our server was incredibly sweet and friendly, and even though she was clearly very busy, she still made the effort to check in on us and keep the experience pleasant with fun conversation.
Loved this new AYCE spot that's close by our home in the NW ATX/Lakeline vicinity! We stopped by Oumi on New Year's for lunch and were very impressed and pleased with the attentive server and staff welcoming us, price point was right for a lunch spot and the offerings for food were order and they'd bring out and explain the dishes being coursed out. I loved our special rolls we got along with the sashimi appetizers, would def get these again! My picky kiddo got an order of fried rice and some chicken nuggets which helped and we also appreciated that they were very much good about picking up our dishes and asking if we wanted to put in our next round. Interior was clean, and aesthetic of the decor and bathrooms were very nice, well lit and maintained. For a spot that just opened, you can certainly tell they've worked to ensure it's on its game for grand opening galore! I'd come back and also very much liked the parking situation, which makes me always appreciative of eating without the stress of something else to think thru!
Came here for a birthday dinner recently and had such a nice experience! I was super impressed with the service and quality of food. Our server was fantastic and did an awesome job managing our larger group. He was on top of it and everything came out very fast. We were very big fans of the chili yellowtail but everything was good! They also have a really good happy hour before 7! They also had a very nice birthday perk. The restaurant was also beautiful, very nicely decorated and had pretty finishes. Overall I definitely recommend!
If you are planning a date night this place is perfect. Beautiful restaurant with a wonderful atmosphere and very good Staff. They answer all questions. They are even shell fish allergy friendly. For about 40$ a person you get to pick anything and everything off the menu and its all made to your order. And the food is on point. Everything i tried was amazing. Highly recommend this for your lunch or dinner date time plans.

The ambiance and decor is clean and stellar! You walk in and everything is well lit to the perfect Sushi Eating Mood and the staff is very hospitable! The floors are clean. The Bathrooms are clean and the space is quite inviting. The Service was very quick and quite friendly. The Food. You have a 2 hour time limit adults are only $35 Appetizers: Crab Rangoon: of all the buffets AYCE in Austin area these are one of the best Crab Rangoons 10/10 Oumi Tempura: This is a modified Crab Rangoon no shell just seaweed and deep fried. Delicious! 10/10 Shumai: Okay but not great. 3/10 Mains- Sashimi- All Fresh! But Very Limited Selection Yellow Tail: Very Good 8/10 Salmon: Inconsistent Fatty content, but very good 7/10 Eel: Yummy: 8/10 actually warm! Tuna: Above Standard 8/10 Tamago: very Good! 9/10 perfect sweetness , Great consistency! Other food Shrimp Tempura- nice Coating, Fresh, one of the best in an all you can eat. 10/10 Rolls: Spicy Tuna: Way too unbalanced. Too Spicy (and I love Spice), I assume this was older tuna masked with spicy sauce. Was not my favorite. Also it's a traditional roll and should be served seaweed outside. 4/10 Yellowtail Roll: The yellow tail was not as fresh in this roll, but good balance of rice to fish, seaweed still crunchy! 7/10 Bronco Roll- filet log on, crab and cheese deep fried and asparagus. Sounds weird huh? I was super skeptical but oddly enough it was my favorite roll! Not too much rice if any, mean steak everything. The sauce was just perfect 12/10 it's that good. I'd honestly come here for this. For desert you have tempura banana and ice cream. They're all decently good 7/10. read more

Food was good... just didn't have a lot of flavor to the sushi. Service I waited about 5 minutes before someone came to ask about a drink... and he did state I'm sorry about the wait. Atmosphere was good, larger inside than I anticipated... clean and place was busy until 10:15ish and they were cleaning up to end the night. read more
Went for lunch today for their soft opening and their all-you-can-eat sushi. Seating- Checking in was chaotic, as some people had numbers to wait to be seated and some people were waiting to check-in, but when some people (I'm talking to my bald headed friend in flip flops who acted rude when I asked him if he was waiting to check-in) in the check-in line are standing there not committing to either side, it doesn't help. There is a lot of seating in this restaurant, and they even have room for larger parties. Service- The young lady who waited on me was really nice, but it did take her about 5-10 minutes to get to my table to get my drink order, and she only had one other table to serve, so not sure if there was something else going on, and she did apologize for the wait. Food- I ordered the following, and my hot take on each dish - House Salad: More watery than dressing. Needs more dressing and the lettuce needs to be cut up better, as I got a lot of the lettuce chunks, and water was not properly drained off. - Kani Salad: Pretty good, but spicy. - Clear Soup: Tasted more like water than the broth - Miso Soup: Also, tasted more like water than the miso. - Tuna Roll: Pretty good. Would order again - Maguro (Tuna Sushi): The rice was pretty hard, and I couldn't really taste the rice vinegar in the rice. I eat a lot of white long-grain rice and sushi, and I can tell you that the rice was underwhelming. - Wasabe: Pretty chunky and not as pasty as it should be Also, good luck getting cell phone reception in the restaurant. I was trying to add more pictures of the food, but because the reception was not great here, and there is no free wifi to be found nearby, I couldn't post immediate photos of my experience. They also let you pay at the table, but if the reception is not working, then this might be a problem. Final Verdict: I know this was the restaurant's first day, so all the bugs have not been worked out yet, and I hope they eventually will get it worked out. I will probably give them another chance in a month to see if the bugs have been worked out. I would say give it a try, but do as I did, and try at lunch when it is a little cheaper, so you can judge the place for yourself. High points are the really nice staff and a very clean restaurant. Low points are the things I mentioned about the food or just being better organized with the seating and the wait time for drink orders. read more

Second time coming here and the sushi is pretty solid. We have a teenage son so all you can eat sushi for a reasonable price is pretty hard to beat. My only criticism was for the fried rice. I like trying hot items to see if everything on the menu is good, but the rice didn't really have any flavor. The serving size was fair, just very bland. Maybe it was an off night because everything else we got has been great. My wife loves the clear soup and the calamari was good. All in all, we will be back. read more

Pretty solid AYCE sushi joint. Would definitely recommend coming on a weekday during lunch. Our group spent $31 per person (including tip) which was a great deal for the amount of sushi + desserts you get. I tried the nigiri - one of each of the raw fish and they were pretty good. Our server was quick and always checked in on us. Great service! It's also pretty spacious but gets packed pretty quick so come early :) read more
Went here for lunch and it was pretty solid! $25 for lunch an the fish tasted pretty fresh. Honestly a solid deal. Everything tasted very good, and the portion sizes are pretty big. The sushi was probably the best part. The special roll I got sexy girl was alright. Nothing special. I think the value is all in the sushi and nigiri. read more
I came here on a Thursday for lunch pricing ($24) . I think this is the 6th or 7th AYCE sushi spot and tbh I think they're all starting to taste all the same. The inside is decorated quite fancily and the fish tasted fresh enough. But maybe I'm just becoming a sushi snob. Everything is good but I guess you don't go to AYCE spots to be surprised. read more

I was so excited to try the new all you can eat sushi spot, Oumi Sushi, near lakeline. Such a great location! Friday night, Date night, Just me and my boo, We arrived Friday at 8:30 p.m. and there was no wait, We were seated immediately. This is such a big location with so much seating. Our waiter greeted us almost immediately, We ordered water and house red wine to start. He gave his time to review the menus while he got our drinks. We started with a couple of appetizers, Seafood soup (But they brought out vegetable soup), house salad and spring rolls (The spring rolls were fried). We eventually got the seafood soup. The soups had good flavor the house salad was fresh and tasty. We then ordered some hibachi items and red snapper sushi. Note that they do not have regular rice It's all fried rice. Everything we ordered was good except for the lobster roll, whatever the topping was was very fishy and not In a good fishy way, we just did not like it. I really liked all of the hibachi items. I look forward to going back and trying more of the rolls. Opportunities: I know this location is new and everyone is ramping up so I give adequate grace in all things service. there were a few things we ordered that never came. I'm not sure if the tablet didn't capture it or if the waiter forgot to put it in his tablet. read more

We came for on a Saturday for lunch and didn't have to wait. The place did get much fuller when we left. First impression is wow! The place is beautiful and the decor design is like fine fancy dining. I love the wood elements by the sushi bar and the lights illuminating the place. The design of this place is 10/10. It set the mood and stage for the meal. Our waiter Ferry was super attentive and checked back with us often. We ordered a total of 4 times and didn't have to wait much between orders. The food came out fresh and honestly I think Oumi Sushi is the BEST AYCE sushi restaurant in Austin. This place sushi quality is the best in the AYCE category. None of our fish was fishy and in fact surprising great! The sushi roll is heavy on rice. We thought the best deal was the sashimi, mussels, and nigiris! Prices: 11am-3:30pm lunch Monday-Friday only 24.95 AYCE Lunch: no sashimi and special rolls from #17-25 not available and no baked mussels : everything else the same. Saturday & Sunday dinner prices only. $35.95 Food: Chili yellowtail - 3/5 Not the best we ever had but it's decent. Salmon tataki 4/5 - the best one out of the tataki. Sauce Flavor pairs well with salmon Salmon mango 1/5 not a fan Salmon nigiri - 5/5 like wow the salmon melts on your mouth and the rice was seasoned. Small amount of rice and large salmon piece. Made perfectly. Pepper tuna nigiri - 1/5 dry pepper tuna. Tuna nigiri 5/5 fresh and just a tuna's paradise! Yellowtail nigiri 5/5 not fishy and delicious! Red snapper nigiri- 1/5 mushy texture and tasteless, not a fan Smoked salmon nigiri - we didn't release it until we left that they never brought out the smoked salmon :( Eel nigiri 5/5- delicious large piece of eel and perfect light amount of sauce not to drown the eel. Baked mussels 5/5 so good and only available for dinner only so good we order 3 times. Highly recommended! Creamy and just yummy! Fried calamari 5/5 y crunchy but yoi can taste the calamari. It wasn't tough or chewy just perfect! Miso soup 3/5 decent Tuna sashimi - 4/5 good Salmon sashimi 5/5 that sashimi is cut thiccckkkkk like 1 inch thickness. We were not expecting a block of salmon Eel sashimi -5/5 yummm Spicy tuna tataki- dry 1/5 not recommended Old town roll- 1/5 not recommended too much rice and thin pieces of fish. Do I recommend this place? Heccccckk yes! The best AYcE sushi place! Vibe check, service top notch, nice restaurant, and great quality sushi! We also love that our waiter told us they received feedback two weeks from soft opening and have greatly improved since. I love a business that can take feedback to do better. I can tell this is not your ordinary AYCE sushi place... We can not wait to come back! This will be our go to AYCE sushi place now! PS they have a private room you can reserve for parties and event. For an all you can eat sushi spot, I usually have low expectations. But Oumi was surprisingly delightful. From the crab Rangoon and chili yellowtail, to the sushi and rolls, all were tasty and nicely presented. The staff were very friendly and attentive, and the restaurant is big and nicely decorated. Overall I'd come back to get my AYCE fix anytime. read more
Oof this honestly was a disappointing visit to Oumi. My bf and I started with crab ragoons and right off the first bite the wontons were stale. The deep fried rolls were dry... my Hollywood Roll did not taste fresh. We paid $80 sushi that left us highly dissatisfied. I'm not sure what changed from a few months ago with a 5 star visit to now. Unfortunately will not be returning due to the inconsistency. Only bright side of tonight's visit was our server, she was so sweet and attentive. read more
This all-you-can-eat place just opened up a few weeks back, and we wanted to try it and compare it to other ones. We came on Friday before Valentine's Day, and we were a party of 2+ a high chair. We ended up waiting for maybe 15 min max before we got seated. We ordered the following: Spicy edamame: I'd say it was a few minutes undercooked and a bit hard; the spicy sauce was a good balance though. Avocado salad: it's your basic mixed green with a mayo-based sauce and slices of avocado; nothing wow. Mango margarita: the bartender did a good job with the margarita. Sashimi platter: octopus, smoked salmon, tuna, and yellowtail. They were cut pretty thick and were all fresh. Rolls: Shaggy dog: this was one of our favorites. All the flavors are greatly balanced. Angry lobster: I got it mainly because of the mango, but there was barely any mango, and it was very basic. Broncos roll: it said it had filet mignon, but the pieces were so tiny that you couldn't really taste the meat in the roll. Sexy girl: this was the basic spicy tuna roll. We also ordered spicy tuna hand roll, and that was well prepared with a good amount of spicy tuna in the roll. For dessert, we got the tempura banana, and it was light and not too sweet. Overall, for an all-you-can-eat place, the service was really good, the food came out fast, and it was very clean and did not smell like fish. We would go back and just try their sashimi; they do have about 20 different kinds of sashimi that you can choose. read more
New favorite AYCE sushi bar! They have a great $5 drink happy hour. Drinks are potent. A must have is the mussel appetizer. The raw yellowtail and spicy tuna sashimi appetizers were fantastic. Our favorite rolls included the Oumi, Sweet Heat, and Fancy Tuna. Broncos Roll was different. For dessert I recommend the Oreos and ice cream. read more
Had a great time at Oumi for a lunch date. The inside is gorgeous and very modern. It is very luxurious. We ate the all you can eat and it was delicious. The nigiri was very fresh, I loved the salmon, and the sushi rolls were a great portion. Our favorite was the angry lobster roll! I am very excited to come back to try more rolls! read more

Went to Oumi Sushi on Saturday around 4pm and had no wait at all. The place was clean with a trendy vibe. For an all-you-can-eat spot, the price is great and the selection is amazing. Service was friendly and super fast, we didn't have to wait for anything. Overall, great value with solid quality. Would definitely come back. read more

All the fish was so fresh, crab Rangoon wasn't filled enough. Service was so quick but with four people, we just kept eating as they were bringing it out hahah. The place was spacious and the vibes were good. Decoration was nice and tasteful. read more

Came during lunch hours on a Tuesday, and the restaurant itself is very spacious and clean with super lovely and attentive staff. The presentation of the food was also very cute. However, that's the most I can really admire about this restaurant :/ I'm not too sure if we went during an off day or something, but the rice was super dense and stuck to your teeth. The fish to rice ratio was leaning more towards rice, but the fish was still a pretty good width. We got all nigiri: salmon, shrimp, eel, smoked salmon, and tuna. Salmon: very typical salmon belly used, nothing bad. Smoked salmon: reminiscent of what you'd get in a bagel, i definitely shouldve asked our server if it was seared or not Eel: typical, hard to mess up Tuna: the tuna unfortunately was very very very fishy and did not taste fresh Shrimp: friend said the texture was rubbery I hope this visit was just a one off chance that they were having a bad day since we were very excited to try. Maybe will come back again later on to give another chance. read more
