Always a wonderful visit - friendly with great service and high quality food! When friends visit from out of town we come here for dinner! So I shall let the pictures do the talking this time.

Always reliable and amazing g sushi, service and speed! This is our go to sushi spot in cedar park. They have the best value for the price that we've found and the food is always delicious.

This place is a HIDDEN gem! It's so tasty and fresh. The sushi here is authentically Japanese and the owners husband and wife work so hard! They wife is very attentive and quick. I am from LA and I've had sugar fish and Sushi Fumi.... This place is that level. One standout is the scallion yellowtail roll--it's made with a mashed yellowtail and scallion mix, which is hands down the best way to enjoy it. So much flavor packed into every bite. [[HIGHLIGHT]]They're always busy, and now I totally get why.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] This is, without a doubt, the BEST sushi in the Leander/Cedar Park area. Spoken like a true sushi enthusiast!

[[HIGHLIGHT]]Very nice neighborhood gem![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The menu is as authentic as it can get in Austin. Not all fried or Americanized rolls, if you've been to Japan you can find some favorites here. The service is very nice, the lady recommended some very good food and the food was paced nicely although it's a small place. I think this place is way better than some downtown fancy "Authentic" places, and this place also come with a reasonable price.

**Daichi Japanese Restaurant: A Hidden Gem in Cedar Park** We have been going to Daichi for years since they opened. Nestled in Cedar Park, Daichi offers a genuine taste of Japan. Despite its modest size, the restaurant delivers exceptional food quality with meticulous care in ingredient selection. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The welcoming atmosphere, paired with attentive staff led by Tomo, ensures a delightful dining experience.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Their lunch specials are particularly noteworthy, offering great value for authentic dishes. Highly recommended for those seeking superb Japanese cuisine in a friendly setting.

Amazing, I've been coming here for 10 years and nothing has changed - in the best way. Lunch deals are amazing value for the quality. Dinner a la carte is full of very special and authentic dishes.

    Tiny rolls.

I don't get the reviews. This place was not good. It was mediocre at best. The rolls were VERY tiny AND under filled. If they had been good, I could have overlooked the size and filling. I promise you H‑E‑B sushi is more substantial. The rice wasn't even sticking to the rolls. Please look at my photos to see the true size and lack of quality. The spicy edamame was the best thing we got. It was spicy as described. For $120, I feel majorly ripped off. Oh and what the receipt showed is way different than what they posted on their website. There was also a 40 min wait to pickup. The long wait actually got us excited because we thought it meant it must be great. NOPE!

Delicious food paired with fast and friendly service! [[HIGHLIGHT]]The restaurant may be on the smaller side, but it's big on flavor.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The lunch menu is fantastic, and I'll definitely be coming back!

THE BEST JAPANESE RESTAURANT IN AUSTIN, imho. The ingredients are fresh and high quality, the prices are very reasonable. Seems like a mom and pop joint and the service is kind and efficient. Interior is simple--clean and welcoming. We make the drive from central Austin because it's. that. good.

Great lunch spot for the weekend. Great service as well, I go here maybe once a month and they remember me. Food is always amazing when we go and decently price which is surprising for Austin/Cedar Park. Small little restaurant so if you have a big party, you might want to call ahead or just know you might have to wait a bit. The owners are from Japan as well and we got to talk about Japan a bit since I able to travel there a few months back.

    Chicken Katsu Curry Rice
    Briana N.

First off, the service here is what I really love about Daichi. I ordered the fried shrimp curry rice, but the ended up giving me the chicken katsu one. It wasn't that big of a deal and I know mistakes happen so I was just gonna tell the server to not worry about it. But she beat me to the punch, apologized, and insisted that I would get the shrimp on the side as extra for no charge. I've also read other reviews of how other customers feel as if they're treated like family and they really are so friendly. As for the food, I couldn't get enough. The curry was really yummy and came with a small ginger dressing salad and some fried potatoes. But the katsu is to die for!! Both the chicken and the shrimp were soo hot and crispy without feeling oily at all. And the meat inside was literally still so juicy and tender. I didn't expect to finish my whole dish and had planned to take the extra home, but I ate the whole thing up so quick. I will for sure be coming back to try some other dishes next time!

I can see this being a casual and intimate date spot, without venturing into too fancy of a dinner. We got the Fire dragon roll - we mostly ordered this for the spectacle because we saw on the menu that it would be on fire. And it was so cool! It's completely wrapped in foil while on fire, which isn't as cool, but it was still cool regardless. But eating it, this was our favorite that we tried. The eel is so soft, it just melts in your mouth. And the fire in the foil makes the roll so warm and creamy. Which I know isn't something you really want when you think sushi, but it was so good. The rollercoaster roll - I think the taste of this roll wasn't necessarily anything special. It was good and it had a little spicy kick. But what set it apart was the tempura inside gave it some crunchy bits that were fun to eat. Yellowtail tornado roll - I really liked the yellowtail in this roll! But I'm not the biggest fan of jalapeño, so this one was just okay for me. Lemon salmon roll - this roll was really light and refreshing! Probably my second favorite of the night. But the citrus flavor was pretty strong, since it had yuzu sauce and sliced lemon on top. I feel like I would have liked it more if it was just the yuzu without the lemon.

We finally made it back last Saturday for lunch, and it was definitely worth the wait. I was initially excited to try one of their bento meals after seeing the menu online, but the prices at the restaurant were much higher than what was posted. That's understandable considering how much costs have gone up over the years, so we decided to go with the AYCE option instead. It turned out to be the perfect choice. A special shoutout to our server, whose name I unfortunately forgot to ask. She was friendly, attentive, and honest enough to recommend that we not order too much at first because the tempura portions are much larger than expected. The portion sizes here are much bigger than what we're used to at AYCE sushi restaurants in San Antonio. The shrimp tempura and vegetable tempura were generously sized, with thick, crispy batter that was still flavorful and delicious. Some of our favorite were the Salmon Skin salad, which stayed perfectly crispy even with the dressing, and the Mushroom Soup, which was light, flavorful, and not thick or creamy like many other versions. The shrimp and chicken shumai, chicken karaage, mango rolls, and all of the sashimi we ordered were fresh and delicious as well. Overall, we had a wonderful experience. Between the generous portions, fresh and tasty food, and outstanding service, Sushi Bang Bang reminded us why we enjoyed dining here years ago. We'll definitely be back the next time we're in Austin--and now we know to order a little more wisely because the portions are huge!

I started with the gyozas -- filled with chicken and veggies, and really affordable at around $6 for 6. The sauce was delicious, and I shared them with my family, who also thought they were great. You can get them fried or steamed; I went with steamed. Next, I ordered the salmon avocado roll, and it was literally the best roll I've ever eaten. I dipped it in soy sauce, and for those who avoid preservatives, they even offer a soy sauce with just soy, wheat, salt, and water -- perfect for me! I ended up ordering four orders of six rolls (yes, they were that good) and ate them all by myself. Each order was about $9, with $7 for just salmon -- avocado was an add-on. The Sexy Mango roll was my mom's favorite -- she said it tasted refreshing. We also tried sashimi sushi, which was served in a cool cup and tasted amazing. My brother went all out and ate 30 avocado rolls, and the chef was kind enough to give him a super-sized sushi with extra avocado and rice -- I was so jealous! I also tried the Beef Bulgogi, which was delicious and priced at about $13 -- very reasonable. Around 4:00 pm on Saturday, the restaurant wasn't crowded, which made it perfect to enjoy our meal. The K-pop music in the background was a fun touch, too. Seriously, the salmon avocado rolls were the best I've ever had. I'll definitely be back next time I'm nearby!

Our server was super nice and immediately took our order. The rolls, because they are part of the combo, were more on the simple side. Both the yellowtail and tuna roll were really good. The quality of the fish seemed decent, but I wish there was more of it in the roll. And I wish the wasabi was a little stronger. The chicken udon bowl was probably my favorite of the night. The udon itself was the perfect texture and really bouncy. The broth was deep and had a rich sweetness. And the chicken was really juicy. The chashu ramen was okay though. I wish the noodles were cooked a little more, I wish the pork was more tender, and I wish the egg was jammier since the whole yolk was basically hard boiled.
