This is a nice spot. The restaurant isn't very large but it is great for groups of no more than 6. The restaurant gives a mom and pop vibe due to the very friendly and kind staff. I had the shrimp tempura, miso soup, spicy edamame, and the shrimp tempura roll. Everything was hot, fresh, and delicious. The presentation was also great. Overall, a great dining experience.

Super yummy sushi spot! Came in between lunch and dinner time when most spots are closed. Small dining area but wasn't busy at the time. Couldn't decide what to get so went for the sushi boat. The sashimi and nigiri pieces were a great size and tasted good. The fried roll was a bit much, but offset all the fresh going on the rest of the boat. Came with miso soup and a small side salad. Would totally come back if I'm the neighborhood or crave sushi during that off hour!

My husband and I LOVE Sushi Ocean. It doesn't look like much from the outside, but they can deliver some fresh, delicious sushi! We really love the City Roll and always get Miso Soup. The Chicken Yakisoba is a huge portion and a very good option if you want something different. The inside is very cute and clean and the chef who I think may be the owner is so nice. They also have happy hour with some good sake options and lunch specials. If you're in the neighborhood please give them some business!

The sushi rolls were very big. I was full from 1 roll. I will give it a 8 out of 10 for taste. They played a really good playlist and it has very calm ambience. The server was very kind and always there when needed. It's a perfect for date night or for meeting up with friends.

You guys, this is our local Go-to from here on out! We've ordered sushi from here a few times and have eaten in the restaurant. The sushi is legit good and they always give you a little something extra! Tonight's surprise was tempura and potstickers. Thank you!!

Unfortunately they won't make rolls without rice except for 2 that are designated on their menu. I eat Keto and was sad to not have any sushi (I didn't like the 2 they offered) The kids enjoyed their California and shrimp tempura rolls and my husband enjoyed his rainbow roll and some other one. They have lunch specials and if you're not on a limited diet this place is a good choice.

Yet another happy time here. Tried the sashimi, very fresh and my husband had the RM 620 roll, super tasty. Not my favorite since I don't really like the deep fried rolls, but still pretty full of flavors. The hot sake was perfect to accompany the creamy roll ( since it had cream cheese )

Stopped in for lunch and it was a wonderful experience. Service was amazing and the food was incredible. I ordered six pieces of sashimi and the pieces were massive and delicious. The ramen was so good also. Definitely give this place a shot!

Came in to grab one miso soup. I asked the waiter if he had a side fried rice and he rudely said no and snatched the menu from my table. So I didn't order anything else since he grabbed it and just got one more miso soup. My total was $6.27 including tax and was there for less than 10 minutes total with my fiancé. He politely helped all the other customers and greeted them and waved them goodbye. When me and my fiancé left he didn't say a word yet however he chased us outside of the restaurant and yelled at us while we were almost at our car and told us we HAVE to leave him a tip because he "served us"... I'm not sure if he realized that good service gets tips but either way I felt harassed and embarrassed that he chased me for a $1 tip :( won't be back and careful future customers because if you don't tip he'll follow you to your car

Great grilled Salmon Bento. Really it was Salmon Teriyaki but I requested no teriyaki sauce. No problems at all with this request. The Bento lunches are an amazing value and come with so much food. A large portion of salmon, two nigiri pieces, two California roll pieces, two gyoza, pickles, a potato croquette, rice and sautéed vegetables, miso soup and a salad. I was stuffed for $12.99.

Left is the volcano roll and right is the spider man roll. so good!!

It's located inside what I think is a mini golf place (or some kind of entertainment venue haha), and the restaurant itself is hidden behind a bookshelf like a speakeasy. I had never heard of the place before, but I thought the whole concept was SO cool. The omakase itself is incredibly intimate with only a handful of seats, which makes the entire experience feel really personal. Chef and his small team are all so warm and welcoming, and one of my favorite parts was that they actually encourage everyone to get to know each other throughout the meal. It ended up feeling like one big group dinner rather than everyone quietly eating their own meal. My friend and I were even watching the Super Bowl with everyone during our seating, which made the night even more fun! The fish was, of course, phenomenal. Every piece was prepared with so much care and precision, and you could really tell how passionate Chef is about his craft. I'd say the menu falls somewhere in the middle between a super traditional Edomae omakase and a more modern, creative one, which I personally loved. Everything felt incredibly thoughtful without being overly experimental. I also have to give a shoutout to their cocktail program because every drink we had was AMAZING! I don't even think there's a traditional drink menu. Instead, their bartender just asked each of us what kinds of flavors we usually like and created custom cocktails based on our preferences. Every single drink she made for my friends and me was SO good and paired perfectly with the meal. One thing to keep in mind is that each seating is pretty long--we were there for close to three hours! It definitely felt like an experience rather than just dinner, but honestly, the time flew by because everyone was chatting, eating, and having such a great time. It is definitely on the expensive side, but for the quality of the fish, the hospitality, and the overall experience, I thought it was absolutely worth it. One of my favorite little details was that the room is filled with Chef's personal belongings, books, and little collectibles, which makes the space feel so cozy and lived in. He genuinely welcomes guests to ask him about anything in the room, and you can tell he's just such a well-rounded and passionate person. More than anything, this was just such a FUN omakase experience!! If you're looking for something that's intimate, interactive, and a little different from your typical omakase, I can't recommend Toshokan enough!

Tucked away inside a mini golf course and hidden behind a bookshelf, the whole experience has this playful speakeasy energy before you even sit down. Once you step inside, the interior immediately transports you to the late‑night streets of Tokyo--moody lighting, intimate vibes, and that cinematic feeling like something special is about to happen. There are 6 seats. My boyfriend and I had such a fun, personal experience. The staff were incredible--warm, engaging, and genuinely excited to guide us through each course. The food itself was delicious, beautifully crafted, and felt customized in a way that made the night feel unique to us. It's the kind of omakase that doesn't take itself too seriously while still delivering seriously good dishes. I also highly recommend the sake and cocktail pairing. The bartender customizes it based on your preferences. I told her my favorite drink is an espresso martini and she made this really fun espresso, strawberry latte concoction. There is also a special house sake with an homage to the owner's cat. I love those personal details. It's always a great time at Toshokan, and I'll definitely be back again. PS it's a great place to celebrate your birthday or special occasion! They broke out a guitar to serenade me lol

The Robot Ramen was light, yet rich, the meat was succulent (and not too thin, at the risk of being dry) and the noodles were al dente--both were cooked nicely. Really enjoyed the Pom mule drink on happy hour. The cucumber refresher was a little too sweet for me. The spinach dumplings and barbacoa dumplings were both great! Loved the sauces that came with both. Chicken karaage was what you'd expect, would probably try something else next time just to try something new. The hira hira roll was really good! The way they presented the sauces made it slightly hard to dip your roll in it, but would still order again. My friends loved the transformer roll. Yuka-tekkan was a let down for me, just not very flavorful. Overall, would definitely come back for some rolls and the happy hour! There is better sushi on s congress but I still think this is a solid choice. Inside has really cool decor and would be a good place to bring someone to impress a date.

Both of the sandos were perfect. The wagyu beef sando had a little bit more flavor but it was slight and both are worth trying. Every roll was enjoyable and I felt like each had a little twist that really made the flavors explosive, like a shaved onion or a crispy puff on the side of the roll. The service was stellar and they were easy to book on OpenTable I also tried the green tea mocktail and found it to be light and refreshing and I was happy that it wasn't super sweet My two favorite items were: 1. The Edamame - which were charred in a way that I feel like I've never experienced it before and had such great flavor. 2. The scallop roll had a thinly sliced shaved truffle on top that made the roll simple yet out of this world. Shout out to the manager who came by just to check in. My favorite maki rolls are the scallop chirashi and the A5, but the scallop maki is the one I crave most--it's so good. Their lychee martini is also delicious and not overly sweet. The Kyoto Blush, on the other hand, was far too sweet for me, so I wouldn't order that one again. I've tried a few other dishes as well. The wagyu sando wasn't quite what I expected, since the meat had more of a patty-like texture that I didn't think paired especially well with the milk bread. The wagyu donburi had a nice layer of crispy rice at the bottom after mixing, but there were too many sour and pickled components, which threw off the balance of the dish a little. Overall, Tenten is a solid spot, especially once you know which menu items you like. Service can be a bit hit or miss, but nothing bad enough to keep me from coming back.
