Came with a large group of 9 for a birthday on a Saturday evening, it is a smaller restaurant so it was primarily one server for the entire place. We made a reservation online and was sat once the tables were wiped down and pushed together. They offer bottled beverages (including water), no soda tap. Me and my partner ordered 4 rolls and the spicy gyoza. The gyoza itself was pretty good, but we had wait for chopsticks and napkins while the server attended other tables. We ordered a volcano roll, 911 roll, Spider-Man roll, energy roll. The Spider-Man roll was too big to where I couldn't eat it within one bite and couldn't enjoy the roll all together. The 911 roll just wasn't my personal jam I think texture wise. Volcano and energy rolls were the best of the rolls we ordered but I feel like I've still had better elsewhere. Because not one specific item stood out to me I would probably try somewhere else before I return. I appreciate the service that was provided for us as a larger group. read more

This is a nice spot. The restaurant isn't very large but it is great for groups of no more than 6. The restaurant gives a mom and pop vibe due to the very friendly and kind staff. Very extensive menu, and Sushi Ocean offers their lunch specials even on Saturdays! My son loves the nigiri( raw sushi) which he says is so fresh. I liked the bento box, which comes with sushi, gyoza, soup, salad, and the selected entree. The owners are very friendly and provide great customer service. The only 2 downsides were 1) my Korean Beef Bulgogi was a bit too salty, 2)my son and I asked for "water" but what we got was 2 bottled waters( which we assumed were complimentary) but cost $1 a bottle on our bill. Super yummy sushi spot! Came in between lunch and dinner time when most spots are closed. Small dining area but wasn't busy at the time. Couldn't decide what to get so went for the sushi boat. The sashimi and nigiri pieces were a great size and tasted good. The fried roll was a bit much, but offset all the fresh going on the rest of the boat. Came with miso soup and a small side salad. My husband and I LOVE Sushi Ocean. It doesn't look like much from the outside, but they can deliver some fresh, delicious sushi! We really love the City Roll and always get Miso Soup. The Chicken Yakisoba is a huge portion and a very good option if you want something different. The inside is very cute and clean and the chef who I think may be the owner is so nice. Unfortunately they won't make rolls without rice except for 2 that are designated on their menu. I eat Keto and was sad to not have any sushi (I didn't like the 2 they offered) The kids enjoyed their California and shrimp tempura rolls and my husband enjoyed his rainbow roll and some other one. We finally had the opportunity to try this place and we were not disappointed. After living in Japan for a number of years, we're rather picky about sushi and aren't crazy about some of the places that try to be too fancy or trendy. Sushi Ocean is wonderful. The staff were so friendly and welcoming, the prices are great, and the sushi is delicious! The cherry on top, it's on our way home. Came in to grab one miso soup. I asked the waiter if he had a side fried rice and he rudely said no and snatched the menu from my table. So I didn't order anything else since he grabbed it and just got one more miso soup. My total was $6.27 including tax and was there for less than 10 minutes total with my fiancé. He politely helped all the other customers and greeted them and waved them goodbye. When me and my fiancé left he didn't say a word yet however he chased us outside of the restaurant and yelled at us while we were almost at our car and told us we HAVE to leave him a tip because he "served us"... I've left a positive review before and unfortunately have to leave this one as well. In short- they are under new management. The owner and his wife retired. The portion sizes have been cut back tremendously. The miso soup is only slightly flavored, and had no tofu in it. The sushi itself is much smaller portion for the same price. My boyfriend and I usually go to get haircuts from the wife of the owner of this restaurant. She was telling me about her husband having this restaurant so I went to go try it out. My boyfriend and I both got a bento box and it tasted really good! The price was very good for the amount of food and variety that came with the bento box. This place look good from reviews and photos of the food. But I will say the food was very quality and along with that not good service from waitress which I think could be a part owner. I order the spicy ramen and thought it would be a typical Japanese noodle ramen especially for the price of it , but when I came I basically got a instant ramen that you can buy at the store in a bowl that I could make at home,and it wasn't even spicy. Then when I asked if I could get something to add to it to make it spicy and the waitress response was "next time order tell me you want it spicier and I can add something ". Later brought me a spicy mix which should have happen when I asked to make it spicy instead of what she said. So my husband & I have gone to Sushi Ocean for years now. We mostly get take out. The gentleman that has been there forever has been very kind & generous & we love talking to him. We always order the same things. They always threw in a little extra as a thank you. We ordered tonight & they changed their menu... but besides that, we got 1/2 as much ahi tower for same price, didn't taste the same at all & just a few seaweed wraps that were very different & extremely chewy & flavorless compared to what they used before. They forgot to put the sauce that comes on the roll we ordered as well. I'm so sad that they changed so drastically all of a sudden. Great little spot on 620 for lunch or dinner or takeout. We had the garlic edamame, hand rolls, and special rolls. The owner recommended the cowboy roll and it was excellent! Just ate lunch here for the first time and it was great. I had the bento box with teriyaki salmon. The sushi wasn't the best I've ever had, but it was passable. $11.85 is a little more that I typically spend on lunch, but the bento box has a lot of variety - miso soup, salad, 3 kinds of sushi, steamed rice, gyoza, banchan (cucumber, potato), teriyaki salmon on top of some really tasty grilled vegetables. The spicy ramen used to be SO SO good. Took a 20 minute trip to pick some up after not having it for over 3 years and it was so bad! When I opened the soup container the soup contents were actually inside of a plastic bag. Yuck! I had to pour it from the bag into the styrofoam container. It was definitely frozen and microwaved. The noodles were gross, overcooked and mushy, same with the veggies. There weren't any of the water chestnuts in it like there used to be and had almost no broth. Kani salad had some weird brown sauce? Not good. Sushi wasn't bad however it does fall apart like some other reviews mentioned. read more

I drove past Sushi Ocean hundreds of times. A friend told me their Sushi was amazing. Finally decided to try them.
