We arrived about 5:35 we were seated immediately and offered beverages. The Sushi here is good. I enjoy sitting at the bar and watching the sushi chefs. We do wish the property was larger as the tables and booths are pretty close to each other especially the tables down the middle. The end booths encroach on the restroom so we try to avoid those. Return to Sushi Fever! Friday evening, late November, dining at 6PM. Great friendly service, nice ambience, and delicious food. So what did we have this time? Some Hot Sake followed by the following, Spicy Tuna Taco & the following orders of Sushi; Albacore, Shrimp, Tuna, Yellowtail, Octopus and Scallop. Of all the dishes, the Spicy Tuna Taco, was good but not great, may have worked better with Poke as opposed to a tartar. Few of our friends who are regular told us to get the following "off menu" rolls and so we did: The Amy Bruce Lee Rock n Roll The Clay First of all they have few things on their HH menu that runs Tus-Fri until 6:30'pm. We did order their garlic edamame from their HH menu and husband loves hamachi Kama so he tries it at everything spot we go. The big difference of Hamachi Kama was that at all other places it comes as sashimi and the rest they take it and grill it and bring it back. At Sushi Fever they grill it from start. He said that it was a bit overcooked. The garlic edamame was most of butter& garlic paste rather than crunchy sauces garlic. It wasn't bad but just not what i prefer when i get garlic edamame. From the rolls that we ordered my favorite was clay which had the crunch on top and was flavorful the rest were not bad but they were not WOW. The pricing for the rolls were market price so it wasn't too expensive. For the 4 rolls,edamame & Kama we paid $120 with tax & tip. It was worth trying it to see what the hype and reviews are all about. The inside is on the darker side with dim lights and darker color decor. read more

The Hubs and I came for a day trip and stumbled upon this exciting place. We never had sushi while visiting Austin, so let's try it. We were greeted as soon as the door was open. The host asked if we wanted to sit at the sushi bar and we said yes! We ordered the surf and turf sushi, rainbow sushi, and California roll. They all were freshly delicious if that makes sense. No fishy smells, just crunchiness from the cucumbers, creamy avocado and cheese, and overall fresh ingredients. I'm so glad we stopped here. Plus I was truly impressed with their sweet tea. Went to Sushi Fever for a date night with my kiddo. We ordered edamame, miso soup, and a sushi hand roll. My son absolutely loved the hand roll, definitely his favorite! I found it just okay. We're both big fans of sushi rolls, but we were a bit disappointed with the limited roll options on the menu. Hours shows closes at 2:30 for lunch. Walked in at 2:11 and was turned away stating they're already closed for lunch. Why would you advertise 2:30 if you close before than. GREAT Sushi, and great service! My husband and I walked in a little bit before 5PM on Tuesday (*found out NOT open on Mondays,,as went there the day before). But, all staff was very friendly as soon as you walk We decided to sit at the bar area. As soon as we sat down, we had our waitress asked what we wanted to drink. I knew I wanted cold sake. She suggested the Hane sake which is flavored with Lychee, Apple and Peach! I usually don't like sweet sake, but was very good! We knew we wanted sushi. Difference in ordering, if you just sliced Shashimi, you get 5 slices (and beautiful plated with flowers and greenary). If you get the regular sushi you get 2 pieces in your order with rice. This was the only negative I had. Of the couple pieces we had, and we had the Sea Bass, Yellowtail, and Escolar. But, when you picked them up with the chopsticks, the rice was not sticking and fell apart in my soy sauce. On the Shashimi side we started with the Salmon (as we always want that in 5 pieces), and was very good. But, one we tasted the in the sushi style, we wanted more of was the Escolar (*which we did not know until served..has bits of garlic on it...which OMG, was that extra ummph, that just made it) . If you never tried Escolar, try it here. It was the best thing we had, we are glad we had at the END after our rolls! My husband likes spicy, so the Red HOT CHILI pepper (*and did not dissapoint) and the Phily roll to cool it off. I had the Spicy soft sheel crab roll (*spicy enough for me) and the shimp temura roll. Ughh the carrot top roll was just so phenomenal!! It deserves all the recognition. Such a great idea to top the roll with garlic shrimp as it brought out the flavors of the fish even more. The other rolls we ordered were very good and fresh too! The roll with the mango moose on top was so refreshing. The baked eel roll with cream cheese was so delicious, crispy and creamy. Came with 3 kids and my wife. It was our first time there. Looked over the menu and ordered regular food. We were kind of confused bc it showed as a sushi restaurant. Asked the waiter after we ordered and he came back to refill our drinks, he was very nice but minimal talking, asked where's all the sushi and he showed me the other menu that was at the back of the table and with 3 kids, toys and drinks I completely missed it. Always a favorite for my family and I. I've even had large "catering" orders for my birthday party and my daughter's graduation. They've always got all my orders perfect! Love the low lights, makes it feel like a special setting. Service is always top notch, quick service, friendly staff. On a date night, try the bar seating. I came in last night with Thing Two for a Mommy and Me date. When we came in, we weren't greeted by anyone although there were employees at the front. We stood at the front for about five minutes before we decided to actually reach out (with a hand) to the host. Once we did, we requested to sit outside as there was only two of us and the inside of the establishment seemed to be at capacity or just near it. Once we went out to the table, we noticed the smell of what seemed like old beer. The table was sticky as if something was spilled there and left to dry (probably the beer). After siting for about 15 minutes, our server came to the table to take our drink order. He asked if we knew what we wanted to eat. I advised that the menu (QR) that was on the window wouldn't pull up on my phone. The waiter advised "Oh yeah, it doesn't work". Wait... what (I thought)? The server then went inside to get us physical menus and returned about 5 minutes later. At 35 minutes in (total time spent), we were able to order our food. Grub: Bulgogi- This is a simple Korean BBQ recipe made with thin slices of beef. This dish didn't have any flavors that were a stand-out. A dish of similar or the same caliber can be found at other places at a lower price-point. Seafood Rice This rice had scallops in it...BUT nothing else that said seafood in it. If I knew the "seafood" rice was just scallops, I might have selected a different entree. Katsu- This was a great attempt at a Katsu. The Katsu served here has a semi-spicy type of barbecue/red sauce on top it. The sauce and vegetables underneath the Katsu took the dish from okay to great. Overall This experience was a 3 based upon service and food offerings. The service here can really use some work. If I come to this establishment again, it will be for takeout as opposed to dine-in. read more

Fresh mango and lemon on the Summer roll is so delish, light and fresh! The ginger dressing on the house salad is full of flavor and the greens so fresh! You will NEVER look at any salad the same again. The spicy Hawaiian roll has flavor that pops in your mouth! I finally got around to review Sushi Fever. Been here several times over the years and it's always been spot on. Always fresh ingredients, promt service and interesting rolls. On this trip my daughters had a classic California roll and a kids chicken udon dish. The kids chicken udon was more of a teriyaki stir fry. Only negative was it had a ton of sauce. I had super fresh Hamachi sushi and a spicy Hawaiian roll. Both would recommend. Husband got the beef Bulogi dinner which was also delicious. Here's a weird story for you. I used to live in Las Vegas. A mile or so from my house was a sushi place I LOVED. I went all the time, at least once a week. While preparing to move to Austin, I visited the sushi place one last time. I was going to miss it. A few days after I moved here, my then-girlfriend (now my wife) and I drove Whitestone back home. Being new to the area, I was looking around at all the shops and places to eat. Suddenly, I spotted it: Sushi Fever. The place I loved in Vegas was called Sushi Fever! And man, that logo looked familiar, right? So we went to check it out. And, as it turned out, there are two Sushi Fever locations worldwide. One of them was a mile from my house in Las Vegas. The other? A mile from my home in Cedar Park! As it was in Vegas, Sushi Fever is my go-to for sushi here. I know others prefer Takara and other shops, but Sushi Fever is the pinnacle for me. Every single roll I've ever had is good. And they are inventive as hell, too. Every sushi joint has its rolls, but I don't think I've ever been to a place that has more--or better--than Sushi Fever. If you're looking for sushi, give it a try. And also, if you're looking for sushi in Las Vegas, try it. It's fantastic at both locations. read more

I was blown away by this place. The restaurant was clean and didn't have a fishy smell to it. I don't eat cooked fish because of the fish smell and flavor. So walking in and not being smacked in the face with a fish market smell was a HUGE deal for me. The hostess was polite and greeted us with kindness. In summary, Sushi Fever served up good sushi and entrees pleasantly and quickly. Expect to wait at peak times, although our wait was shorter than the estimate. We arrived with a party of 6 at about 6 PM on a Friday night, so it really wasn't surprising that the quoted wait was 45 minutes. We were handed a buzzer, to tell us when our table was ready. I would say that the actual wait time was 20 to 25 minutes, so that was pleasantly surprising. When you enter past the small host station you find a row of tables on the left, a row of tables in the center and a set of chairs up against a sushi bar on the right. So the size of the place isn't very big. The lighting is pleasant. The table was set with small serving bowls, wasabi, ginger, and a pitcher of soy sauce. Our server was cheerful and helpful. Wee ordered entrees of bulgogi, a mango salmon served with rice and asparagus, and the spiced scallop and spider rolls. Two of us were sushi eaters and we shared. Both rolls were very tasty. My salmon was excellent and my wife shared a bite of her bulgogi and I enjoyed it, too. Everything came with a small bowl of miso soup. I don't visit sushi restaurants often and I'm never sure how much to offer. We skipped the appetizers, although there were some good-looking offerings. I'd say the rolls were each a nice appetizer for a single person, and the entrees are a good light size. A roll and an entree was a fine meal. Add an appetizer and a dessert and it would be too much.
