People typically go out to eat to enjoy a meal with their family. Everyone eats together. The food comes out so we all eat at the same time. Not at Momo Sushi! Your party of 3 can have 2 people finish their entire dinner before one of you ever gets anything. This happened to us last Friday at Momo. I sat for 40 minutes waiting patiently for a bento box while my husband and daughter had their entire meal. Someone who was not our server came over and said "it looks like you're missing some things" - yep, dude, you sure are perceptive. Our appetizer came out at around 30+ minutes - it was the veggie and shrimp tempura. And that was after the multiple sushi rolls came out and my family had already eaten them. The bento came out finally, with no offer to make it right. Our server only sheepishly said sorry. I should have known trouble was on the way when we walked in and we were sat right next to the counter with a view of the sushi "chef." I watched him bang a knife (he had just used to cut avocado with) on the inside of a dirty trash can and then proceeded to use it again. Nope. All the way nope. Good luck to you, Momo. I won't be back to even bother finding out if you've gotten your *ish together. read more

We were sad to see Max's Fusion Bar leave this locale, but Momo is a fabulous replacement. Not much has changed regarding the décor, except it's a tad brighter. They offer all the usual sushi and sashimi suspects along with a large selection of rolls. The sushi is fresh, and the portions are not small. They do have a good selection of hot and cold sake as well as beer. There is also an impressive lunch menu, including bento boxes and poke bowls. Service on our visit was friendly and attentive. They had minimal traffic on 12/23, which is normal for the Xmas season. I do hope they continue to do well as they are a fine addition to the CP - Leanderthal area! read more

Service tonight in this relaxed neighborhood gem was friendly and attentive without being pushy. Our dinner of two rolls and a teriyaki bento box was delicious. The beef teriyaki sauce is homemade with a welcome slight kick to it. Gyoza dumplings are crisp and tasty. Dragon and Hawaiian rolls were beautiful, delectable and filling. Momo opened this standalone location after a long popular run inside H-Mart. This restaurant should be full every night with this fantastic food. Go! read more

Had a "hankering" for a Salmon Bento Box. I've discovered that in my area (Cedar Park, Leander, Liberty Hill), a good Bento Box is hard to find, except for lunch at "Sushi Fever". Enter "Momo Sushi", nice little restaurant on the west side of Cedar Park. Seated quickly, by our server who seemed fairly new, based on her inability to answer some of our questions. I ordered the Salmon Bento Box. Delicious and perfectly grilled for my dinning pleasure. I would have preferred the skin a little crisper, as requested. I loved all the sides, California roll, sticky rice, gyoza, salad, soup and fruit. The Salmon was a little over seasoned with something for my taste. It tasted a little salty and spicy at the same time. But despite that it was very tasty. My wife ordered the Teriyaki Bento, she mentioned her's was also over seasoned with pepper it seemed. The portions and quality of both meats were good. They just need to work on those spice shakers. We both always ask for "Rice Paper" or "Soy Paper" on our California rolls instead of sea weed. It's usually an up charge of $2 on the big rolls with 6-8 slices. We were charged $2 per roll on the B boxes. The Bento box sushi rolls are four small slices, essentially half a regular size roll. So we were charged an extra $2 to make 1 roll and slice it for two servings. Oy, Ve? Despite that small matter we will return, but I'll have to speak with mgmt., about the paper up charge. Service: the service was great! We walked in several minutes before 4pm not realizing they didn't open till 4pm but the door was open. They helped us right away let us know they are just getting opened but were very welcoming. They were attentive m, it was not busy only my party of 2 and one other patron but I have a feeling it will remain sturdy in busy times. Food: the food was every bit of delicious and amazing! We were not disappointed! Everything we ordered was perfect! And I'm a Cali girl and have yet to find sushi that can compare, until I stepped into to MoMo's that is! Ambiance: it was clean and I love me some clean! The ladies bathroom was clean and smelled good, they even had music playing definitely a cool lil lunch or dinner vibe can be had! We came here the other evening and had a good experience. First, the inside of the place is comfy and had really comfy chairs. Food is reasonably priced - typical for Austin/Cedar Park. Food itself is really good and staff is really friendly. I had the udon shrimp tempura, it's good. Wish the shrimp were a bit larger. Overall great experience! read more

This review is mainly for take out. I haven't had the chance to dine in yet. Ordered 4 rolls w Ubereats on a Saturday. It did take about 55 min from time i ordered till it was delivered. I got the following rolls: Samurai - this roll is very fresh and flavorful. Deep impact - this was by far my favorite roll. The portion of the ingredients and flavors were great. Panic - it's a very basic roll nothing wow about it. Happy - the roll is super basic and the crunch bis way too much. I would want to go back and try few other rolls and see how the ambiance is inside but other than that it was good decent sushi. read more

Momo Sushi is owned by Koreans. I ordered the sashimi bento box and thought it was good. We were the only customers during half closing at 3 pm. The server was really kind and encouraged us not to clean up after our toddler who threw all his food on the ground. The warm miso soup was really good on a snow day. read more

Enjoyed a wonderful lunch at momo sushi! We had a beer and glass of savy B! The spicy edamame and the gyoza were delish! Some of the best that I've had. The sushi was fresh, and was extremely yummy. WOW!! Absolutely loved Momo!! The fish quality was incredible for the price! My first time trying a hand roll and the spicy tuna hand roll was everything I imagined. The Philadelphia roll was massive! I feel like the more "classic rolls" are normally smaller and the fish portions on this one were perfect!! My mom and I went to this restaurant last Saturday. There are no one but clean environment. She had a Tonsukao bento and mine is Combo Poke bowl (fresh raw fishes and vegetables.) The waiter was nice. He did his best to serve us and made sure everything is ok. read more

Went here for my wife and I Anniversary! It's nothing fancy, but it has a great relaxing vibe to it. In past visits, it was never very busy and we enjoyed it for its quick service, but this time around the place didn't have an empty seat and the service was still fast and the sushi was good. We stumbled on Momo Sushi by complete chance looking for a sushi place in Cedar Park. So glad we did! The food is yummy and reasonably priced. We had two chicken teriyaki bentos, a spicy tuna roll, the caterpillar roll, and the dragon roll. We chose the caterpillar and dragon rolls because we love unagi (eel). Everything was delicious and a special shout-out to the chicken teriyaki: t was genuinely home-made, with real chicken, broccolini, onion, and scallions. We like hot tea and the green tea was very nice. The owner happened to be at the restaurant (Tuesday, around 5 p.m.) so we had a chance to talk with her which also made the meal more special. We are sold on the combination of tasty food, reasonable prices, and a local business. If you are in to watching food-prep videos, Momo Sushi has several t.v. screens over the sushi-bar area which feature different types of food prep in Japan. Where to start? I was a sushi chef for many years and have since retired. We ordered a few rolls and noticed the shape of the maki wasn't square but didn't hold any proper shape. Some pieces were oval, some were oblong... ok whatever. They usually have beginners make the maki rolls. Which explains why the rice grains were squished which means too much pressure when rolling. This is an easy fix through training. Biting into the roll the rice was very bland. Perhaps they use a different recipe when mixing sushi rice. We ordered some nigiri and same thing, the rice grains was smooshed! Big no no for sushi chefs. It was edible, and the fish was good. The service was decent and the place was clean. These mistakes with the food is all fixable that's why I gave them three stars. read more
