The food is amazing, and staff is kind courteous and definitely understand the definition of teamwork. There was never an empty plate on our table for more than 2 minutes. The vibe is relaxed and definitely coming back.

I really liked the sushi in this place. My husband ordered the bento box and I ordered a miso soup and a Texas roll. It is a small place with 10 tables and a sushi bar, I can barely hear the music which makes it a relaxing place for me. The flavors are on point, the ingredients are very fresh, and the rolls are well done. Their miso soup is also good! The waiter was very attentive and accommodating. I will definitely come back whenever I am in this area again.

Great sushi place! I love how all of the staff welcomes you to the restaurant when you enter, the service is always fast and they are very friendly! I have tried a few sushi rolls, ramen and bento box. Overall the sushi is great and so was the bento box. Very flavorful and packed with a lot of food in each roll. One one of ramens had fried shrimp that they include and the breading gets very soggy so I wouldn't recommend that ramen (I don't remember the name but it comes with breaded shrimp) or I would ask for the shrimp on the side! It is always very clean and I would recommend this as a great sushi spot in round rock!

Monica roll was a 10/10! So was the ultimate salmon Friendly and efficient service. I appreciate the authenticity of the sushi being prepared by an Asian chef.

Small restaurant located in a shopping center so parking is easy. Staff is very accommodating and gives great suggestions. Ordered some apps and rolls and DEFINITELY try the KISS OF FIRE ROLL! As for ambiance, dimly lit and they have a small bar where you can watch them make the rolls.

Roses are red...violets are blue...the food here is great and the atmosphere too!! I made reservations online to meet up with a friend and catch up. The process was very easy and they responded quickly with confirmation. This restaurant is more intimate spacing but still family friendly. The decor is also pleasant. The service was great from checkin to when we left. The staff is very attentive!! The food was delicious. The California roll here has to be my new favorite. They have different flavors for edamame so I def look forward to trying the others in the future. We opted for the normal ones and they didn't disappoint. The fried rice was full of flavor and cooked to perfection.

Ordered takeout through toasttab and the service was prompt and food was great! Portions are pretty big and everything was packaged well. While I didn't dine in, I did appreciate the ambiance when picking up my food. The fish was fresh and food was flavorful. My 7-year old scarfed the eel rolls down in minutes and said he really enjoyed it. Both the ultimate salmon lover roll and volcano rolls were delicious, as well. I forgot to take a pic of the salmon roll before finishing it.

I've been to plenty of sushi restaurants in my lifetime from California to Texas to Ohio to New York so try this sushi restaurant in Round Rock was a nice visit. The dining room is dark and petite with a sports TV so you can easily enjoy your night with some beer and some sake. Overall the sushi rolls are amazing 'fresh fresh fresh fresh, can I say how fresh it is? I also love how clean the sushi rice tasted, true Japanese style rice with a hint of vinegar. I was very surprised with how fresh the rice was, and the restaurant that popped up in my mind was Sushi Nini in round rock. Don't get me wrong. That restaurant is great, but it's not as good as this restaurant based on the quality of the fish, how fresh the fishes in the rice. Overall love the Rainbow and James Bond roll, it was nice texture from the firm fish. The dynamite roll was great too, hot and warm topping on top vs a cold sushi roll nice blend of warm and cold. Overall you can't go wrong with any dish the Spider roll was crispy n crunch, Big chunks of crab, the eel roll with its clean cut eel on top. Only downside is the Magma roll, I probably won't order it again, the chopped tuna tasted like tuna from a can, cheap tuna, and it was bland not much flavor and the dipping sauce it comes with, also is bland. Don't get it. Also, the beef teriyaki, I was expecting a pull apart tender flakey type of beef but to see this type, sliced thin with the charred marks, I knew it was dry n low and behold, it was dry like sandpaper. It tasted as if the beef was already pre cooked, and sat for a while. When I added the sauce that came with it, it added a little more moisture but for $20??? A salad, soup, white rice, and the beef? More like $12-14, it is not not not not not worth $20. Too be honest, it sucked. I was on such a high note blown away by the good sushi rolls and the nice snappy garlic edamame but once I had the beef, it brought me down to earth and it was not pleasant at all. Overall, great experience just avoid those 2 dishes.

Fr fr this is the best sushi I've ever had. It is quite expensive ($17-$25 per roll) but I can understand why. It's heckin buss buss. 10/10 would absolutely recommend if you're a sushi snob and you don't mind forking over $50 for a meal. Ambiance is cozy and romantic, perfect for a date night. Service was impeccable, servers were very friendly and attentive. Hands down best sushi spot in Round Rock.

Both of the sandos were perfect. The wagyu beef sando had a little bit more flavor but it was slight and both are worth trying. Every roll was enjoyable and I felt like each had a little twist that really made the flavors explosive, like a shaved onion or a crispy puff on the side of the roll. The service was stellar and they were easy to book on OpenTable I also tried the green tea mocktail and found it to be light and refreshing and I was happy that it wasn't super sweet My two favorite items were: 1. The Edamame - which were charred in a way that I feel like I've never experienced it before and had such great flavor. 2. The scallop roll had a thinly sliced shaved truffle on top that made the roll simple yet out of this world. Shout out to the manager who came by just to check in. I always think that is such a sweet gesture.

We asked our server if something was wrong since the AC didn't seem to be working, and behold, she answered yes--they were having AC issues! Thank goodness it wasn't a typical Texas triple-digit day outside. I started with a neat pour of Suntory (whisky), followed by a refreshing lychee martini, the cucumber sunomono, and the pan-seared duck breast for my main dish. We finished off the night sharing the matcha crème brûlée. The food and drinks themselves were great. However, service was a bit slow overall; I had to ask for the status of my main dish and had to flag our server down when we wanted another round of drinks. Decent ambiance considering the circumstances, but I guess this was just their "off night."

I must have driven by this restaurant whenever I was on Parmer for like 15 years ... and never got…read morearound to going in. When I finally did, I discovered one of the best Japanese restaurants in Austin. Okay ... if you are going to pay $600 for an omikase then the omikase place is better. The tasting menu at Uchi is better. But if you just want Japanese without paying a gold brick and taking out a second mortgage on your house, Miyo Yakitori and Sushi is pretty damm fine. * * * a) Japanese curry is a utility dish in most Japanese restaurants ... and when you get down to it, in most Japanese homes. It is often what you serve on "cheap" night. Airport hotels offer it as the "free dinner" for tired travellers. The curry sauce itself here is standard issue. But they serve it with a Pork Katsu the size of Williamson county. And it is a very good Pork Katsu. That Katsu was good from Liberty Hill to Thrall and from Hester's Crossing to Jarrell. b) My carnivorous partner's Fireball Udon with Shellfish blew him away. Temperature wise and aesthetic pleasure wise. He raved about how good his udon was all the way home. c) Service was instantaneous. I think there was some sort of event horizon distortion of the space time continuum that allowed them to prepare the food and then go back in time and deliver it within a minute of it being ordered. Both of us were impressed. d) The service staff was as nice as any human beings could possibly be. * * * Great food. Great service. The folks who live in the apartment complex that Miyo is in are very lucky people indeed. Either the apartments are lovely and they get Miyo on top of that. Or the apartments are terrible, but they can still spend all their time in Miyo to compensate. Seems like a fair trade. **************** If you read the other reviews, There seems to be some controversy about this establishment. Miyo has fans and Miyo has haters. * * * Here is my read on the conflicting opinions: a) Earlier in the restaurant's history - Say about 2016, 17, or 18, The restaurant was not very good at all. I think at that time it had another name. b) There was a name change and quality went up. Sometimes when this happens there is an ownership change (or there is an owner who swaps out the management and cooking team to put in new blood.) However, things got fixed, they got fixed. c) Miyo's yakitori is apparently still not where it needs to be. I am not a huge Yakitori fan. If your broiled meat on a stick is not $80 an ounce Wagyu, Or amazing organ meats grilled in the Caucasus Barded with lamb fat and with farm fresh vegetables On another skewer for serious taste contrast ... If you are not at that high level, I don't want to pay for meat on a skewer. There are people who DO like Yakitori. They do NOT like the Miyo versions of that. * * * Yakitori is less than 20% of Miyo's menu. The rest is sushi or wonderful cooked dishes. Lay off the skewer food and you can do well here.
