This is a nice spot. The restaurant isn't very large but it is great for groups of no more than 6. The restaurant gives a mom and pop vibe due to the very friendly and kind staff. I had the shrimp tempura, miso soup, spicy edamame, and the shrimp tempura roll. Everything was hot, fresh, and delicious. The presentation was also great. Overall, a great dining experience.

Super yummy sushi spot! Came in between lunch and dinner time when most spots are closed. Small dining area but wasn't busy at the time. Couldn't decide what to get so went for the sushi boat. The sashimi and nigiri pieces were a great size and tasted good. The fried roll was a bit much, but offset all the fresh going on the rest of the boat. Came with miso soup and a small side salad. Would totally come back if I'm the neighborhood or crave sushi during that off hour!

My husband and I LOVE Sushi Ocean. It doesn't look like much from the outside, but they can deliver some fresh, delicious sushi! We really love the City Roll and always get Miso Soup. The Chicken Yakisoba is a huge portion and a very good option if you want something different. The inside is very cute and clean and the chef who I think may be the owner is so nice. They also have happy hour with some good sake options and lunch specials. If you're in the neighborhood please give them some business!

The sushi rolls were very big. I was full from 1 roll. I will give it a 8 out of 10 for taste. They played a really good playlist and it has very calm ambience. The server was very kind and always there when needed. It's a perfect for date night or for meeting up with friends.

You guys, this is our local Go-to from here on out! We've ordered sushi from here a few times and have eaten in the restaurant. The sushi is legit good and they always give you a little something extra! Tonight's surprise was tempura and potstickers. Thank you!!

Unfortunately they won't make rolls without rice except for 2 that are designated on their menu. I eat Keto and was sad to not have any sushi (I didn't like the 2 they offered) The kids enjoyed their California and shrimp tempura rolls and my husband enjoyed his rainbow roll and some other one. They have lunch specials and if you're not on a limited diet this place is a good choice.

Yet another happy time here. Tried the sashimi, very fresh and my husband had the RM 620 roll, super tasty. Not my favorite since I don't really like the deep fried rolls, but still pretty full of flavors. The hot sake was perfect to accompany the creamy roll ( since it had cream cheese )

Stopped in for lunch and it was a wonderful experience. Service was amazing and the food was incredible. I ordered six pieces of sashimi and the pieces were massive and delicious. The ramen was so good also. Definitely give this place a shot!

Came in to grab one miso soup. I asked the waiter if he had a side fried rice and he rudely said no and snatched the menu from my table. So I didn't order anything else since he grabbed it and just got one more miso soup. My total was $6.27 including tax and was there for less than 10 minutes total with my fiancé. He politely helped all the other customers and greeted them and waved them goodbye. When me and my fiancé left he didn't say a word yet however he chased us outside of the restaurant and yelled at us while we were almost at our car and told us we HAVE to leave him a tip because he "served us"... I'm not sure if he realized that good service gets tips but either way I felt harassed and embarrassed that he chased me for a $1 tip :( won't be back and careful future customers because if you don't tip he'll follow you to your car

Great grilled Salmon Bento. Really it was Salmon Teriyaki but I requested no teriyaki sauce. No problems at all with this request. The Bento lunches are an amazing value and come with so much food. A large portion of salmon, two nigiri pieces, two California roll pieces, two gyoza, pickles, a potato croquette, rice and sautéed vegetables, miso soup and a salad. I was stuffed for $12.99.

Left is the volcano roll and right is the spider man roll. so good!!

I personally like the fast but friendly bustle of a popular eatery, and they are popular for a reason. If you aren't tempted by the offerings on their menu, they do rotating chef specials in sashimi or nigiri style. Last night my trio did both and were treated to absolutely decadent and culinarily exquisite combinations of flavor. Even on such a packed night, our waitress was still welcoming, helpful, and engaging, ready to offer recommendations and going over each course in detail. I got to hang out with one of my friends from college who was in town for winter break in the Round Rock area, and he suggested Sushi NiNi for dinner. We arrived around 6:30 pm during their extended happy hour, which lasts until 7 pm, and were seated immediately. I very rarely eat sushi, but I have enjoyed what I've had in the past. As my friends ordered, they clearly knew what they were doing, so I followed their lead. One friend ordered a Spider Roll, while my other friend ordered nigiri of the salmon and snapper along with a Volcano Roll. I copied him. The nigiri was great, but I really enjoyed the flavor and kick from the Volcano Roll. The spicy mayo and jalapeños added a nice heat and balanced well with the shrimp. I also liked the crunch. After that, I sent in another order to try the nigiri of the grilled eel, which was heavenly. I have never had eel before, and it absolutely floored me with its flavor. I could easily eat five orders of it. The staff was attentive throughout our visit. One staff member somehow accidentally served my friend a glass of soy sauce instead of unsweetened tea, which was absolutely hilarious to me, so I don't really have anything to complain about. I have no idea how that mix-up happened, but maybe the soy sauce refill container looks similar to their tea containers and sits nearby. Either way, it was very funny. I hope to return to Sushi NiNi in the future because the sushi was excellent and fairly priced. I don't think I paid over $30 for everything I ordered, and it all tasted fresh and well prepared. They do it right here. For being all seafood, it's not too fishy. RIYL: Good sushi for a good price

The menu seemed to have changed a bit from last year, but looked substantially the same. We were able to call that day to check for availability and were able to walk in and get a seat for 3 at the hibachi table and didn't have to wait too long to get our orders in and eat. We enjoyed the entertainment the chef provided! We sometimes weren't clear who our server was so it took us a bit to flag the right person down to take a drink order. We ordered chicken, shrimp, steak, and salmon dish options. I had a hot sake too. I liked the onion type soup with mushrooms they offered this year as I'm not generally a fan of traditional miso soup. When we arrived at the restaurant, the hostess said that she didn't have the reso on her end; rather than apologizing or making a single effort to fix the issue, she just stared at us. We had to prompt her for clarification and next steps, and had to continue to prompt her through the process of getting us sat. When we finally sat down at a regular table, we waited about 15 minutes without a server coming by. I eventually flagged a server down, and we got our order under way. We requested the manager stop by to tell him about the issue with the reservation and the fact that his hostess needs additional training, and surprise, the manager was also not helpful. He did apologize for our reservation being lost, but blamed it on the system and denied any responsibility for taking care of it - basically just told us that "life is life". He did not offer a discount or any kind of relief for the setbacks or bad service. I wasn't expecting the world or anything, but good hospitality dictates that you do more that basically tell us to just deal with it. For the food: the sushi was pretty gnarly - it looked like somebody was angry at the fish when they were slicing. Most things needed salt. Steak and fried rice was good, but the vegetables were pretty much raw. I can forgive quite a bit when it comes to service, especially on graduation/mother's day weekend. But honestly I'm a little impressed at how little the entire staff cared about their guests.

For roughly $60 the wife was full and we had roughly 6 dishes and one cocktail (I was still slightly hungry). Think of it as more of a tapas style ordering. Soft shelled crab - My absolute favorite and by far the best dish! Crispy from the breading, soft shell and subtle crab taste, and to top it off the fried egg adds some creaminess from the yolk. Not greasy at all due to the way it's fried. And who doesn't like a little microgreen to add some freshness to it?! It could likely use a little more salt, and this particular time the yolk was a overcooked. Sushi Tacos - 2nd favorite! You get two, and frankly I prefer not sharing these (although my wife forced me to). It's such a unique dish. Each taco is palm sized. They take a yummy piece of laver (seaweed), coat one side and deep fry it to make a nice hard shell taco casing. Then they fill it with sushi rice, top it with plentiful tuna, add a slice of avocado, and top it with micro greens. Refreshing, light (once you squeeze the tiny lime on top), slightly filling due to the rice, and absolutely delicious. Takoyaki - I'm not a fan, but the wife is. For me it's a texture thing. Even when visiting Japan I didn't enjoy this dish. Honestly though I do think it deserves far more bonito flakes, as the dish is meant to look alive from the waving flakes. Honestly we love this place so much, I always get engrossed in the food so much I forget to take pics. The overall ambience is chill and refined, albeit no white tableclothes, but it acts like it should have them.
