Very friendly and attentive service! Restaurant was clean and very spacious. The food was incredible! Not pictured, but we got the salt and pepper squid as well as the pork dumplings (the squid was some of the best I've had). We also got the Firecaracker roll, cruchy Cali roll, Boston roll, and the dragon roll. Everything was delicious! Will definitely be coming back

Hot and Sour Soup

I should start by saying i havnt tried their sushi and its also because i dont trust to eat sushi from everywhere. Went for lunch with a friend during the week. The hostess was super nice and gave us a nice table since we had two stroller. It's has the typical Asian restaurant ambiance. The hot and sour soup was for sure on the saltier side & honestly wasn't that spicy. Garlic edamame was not cooked enough and was salty. I couldn't even finish the plate. The house salad was good & fresh and the dressing that came with it was light. I did order the cashew chicken and that was lacking a lot of flavor. Overall it was not a bad spot but for sure on the saltier side.

Happy Hour menu, appears to be every day

Snow Pea has been a mainstay in the Lakeline area of town for many years now. I am glad they have re-introduced their happy hour, although it isn't as good a deal as it was prior to Covid. I hope they will bring back the deal where you can just get a couple of rolls, right now you have to get three, which is a lot for a single diner. It's a nice place inside, although a bit loud because it's all hard surfaces. I like their little patio when the weather is nice, it is an underrated spot to grab an afternoon drink. And surprise, surprise, they make an excellent mai tai, which is one of my favorite cocktails. My other recommendations are the 1604 and honey honey rolls. Their ahi tuna tower is also very good. Servers are always attentive. Check them out!

House Salad. I love the dressing so much!

The sushi was incredibly fresh and beautifully presented. The cozy atmosphere made it a perfect place for both casual dining and special occasions. Definitely worth a return visit! Yum!!

Snow pea is my favorite, I am new to Sushi and they have helped my dip my toes. The atmosphere is great, love the wood tables and chairs very comfortable. Some of our favorite's are: Cali Roll Rock n Roll Sassy girl Phili Roll Shrimp appetizers-tempura Chicken wings Best crab Rangoon Dumplings Scallion pancakes Teriaki Chicken Garlic Chicken Lettuce wraps General So's There are a few spicy rolls that my family loves too. Just go, you will not regret it! The tea is really good!

Men's room

Went here yesterday for dinner and found this hate message over the men's urinal. I showed a member of the staff who responded, "Yeah, we know about that." That nonchalance doesn't cut it. In less than 30 minutes, someone could have gone to the local homedepot, purchased spackle, a trowel, some paint, returned to the restaurant, and performed the repair. I will never be a patron of this restaurant again.

We went after work to this place nearby and sashimi was the winner! We got the 15 pcs sampler I was too excited to take the pic when it was served. We had sizzling surf and turf (scallops instead of shrimp)---tasted good but didn't realized the steak was not cut as the norm. Had the ahi tower and sesame balls which was yummy! It wasn't too packed so the peace was perfect! The atmosphere is calming and clean!

Combination Fried Rice
Tessa G.

I ordered the egg drop soup and combination fried rice. Both items were packed with flavor! The egg drop soup was the perfect yellow color with plenty of egg pieces! The fried rice was flavorful and had a good mix of the proteins. I would definitely come back and order the same! The service was quick and the waiter was very polite! It was pretty quiet in the restaurants at 1:00pm ish on a Tuesday. The inside looked clean and neat but not overly decorated.

Rude staff, cold food. Don't eat here. Better to eat at McDonalds, at least the food is cooked properly.

It's located inside what I think is a mini golf place (or some kind of entertainment venue haha), and the restaurant itself is hidden behind a bookshelf like a speakeasy. I had never heard of the place before, but I thought the whole concept was SO cool. The omakase itself is incredibly intimate with only a handful of seats, which makes the entire experience feel really personal. Chef and his small team are all so warm and welcoming, and one of my favorite parts was that they actually encourage everyone to get to know each other throughout the meal. It ended up feeling like one big group dinner rather than everyone quietly eating their own meal. My friend and I were even watching the Super Bowl with everyone during our seating, which made the night even more fun! The fish was, of course, phenomenal. Every piece was prepared with so much care and precision, and you could really tell how passionate Chef is about his craft. I'd say the menu falls somewhere in the middle between a super traditional Edomae omakase and a more modern, creative one, which I personally loved. Everything felt incredibly thoughtful without being overly experimental. I also have to give a shoutout to their cocktail program because every drink we had was AMAZING! I don't even think there's a traditional drink menu. Instead, their bartender just asked each of us what kinds of flavors we usually like and created custom cocktails based on our preferences. Every single drink she made for my friends and me was SO good and paired perfectly with the meal. One thing to keep in mind is that each seating is pretty long--we were there for close to three hours! It definitely felt like an experience rather than just dinner, but honestly, the time flew by because everyone was chatting, eating, and having such a great time. It is definitely on the expensive side, but for the quality of the fish, the hospitality, and the overall experience, I thought it was absolutely worth it. One of my favorite little details was that the room is filled with Chef's personal belongings, books, and little collectibles, which makes the space feel so cozy and lived in. He genuinely welcomes guests to ask him about anything in the room, and you can tell he's just such a well-rounded and passionate person. More than anything, this was just such a FUN omakase experience!! If you're looking for something that's intimate, interactive, and a little different from your typical omakase, I can't recommend Toshokan enough!

Tucked away inside a mini golf course and hidden behind a bookshelf, the whole experience has this playful speakeasy energy before you even sit down. Once you step inside, the interior immediately transports you to the late‑night streets of Tokyo--moody lighting, intimate vibes, and that cinematic feeling like something special is about to happen. There are 6 seats. My boyfriend and I had such a fun, personal experience. The staff were incredible--warm, engaging, and genuinely excited to guide us through each course. The food itself was delicious, beautifully crafted, and felt customized in a way that made the night feel unique to us. It's the kind of omakase that doesn't take itself too seriously while still delivering seriously good dishes. I also highly recommend the sake and cocktail pairing. The bartender customizes it based on your preferences. I told her my favorite drink is an espresso martini and she made this really fun espresso, strawberry latte concoction. There is also a special house sake with an homage to the owner's cat. I love those personal details. It's always a great time at Toshokan, and I'll definitely be back again. PS it's a great place to celebrate your birthday or special occasion! They broke out a guitar to serenade me lol

Sat at the sushi bar and for a Thursday night was pretty quiet. There were four chefs and sitting at the sushi bar you got to see the goodies as they were made. Austyn was the person who took care of me and they were wonderful. Very polite and provided great recommendations for the night. Got the sake flight and all three I'd get again. Started with the Barbacoa dumplings....ummmm amazing, soooo flavorful. Next up was the Brussels sprouts and y'all those left with the bowl empty. The only rec I gave Austyn was to tell peeps to stir them to get all the sauce goodness mixed in. Didn't realize there was a sauce until the end soooo that would have probably made me lick the bowl! Also got the Toro fig and I'm not gonna lie I was shocked. Never thought pairing fig with tuna would be good, again rec I gave was to give a spoon so you could sip all that sauce goodness!!! Last on my dining journey was the Prime Market Nigiri Moriawase. This was the chefs choice of five nigiri pieces and they again were delicious. The downside was the omakase was for 2 people, portion size sooo I need to find a plus one, any takers?! I'd go back to try other items and get a few of the same.

The food was absolutely fantastic, the cocktails were creative and delicious, and the service was spot on from start to finish. We sat on the patio, which was such a pleasant surprise! It's beautifully designed, charming, and feels like a little hidden oasis. You would never know you were right in the middle of downtown Austin. I've previously visited the Dallas location and had an amazing experience there, so I had high expectations. I'm happy to say that the Austin location was every bit as impressive! We walked through the door at 1:01 pm. It was busy, and we were told that our table is still occupied and we needed to wait about 10 mins. After another 15 minutes, we were told the people dining in our table were still there and we can either sit and wait indefinitely or take seats at the bar. This was not done in a friendly or sympathetic manner. What boggles my mind is almost every restaurant with a reservation system has a reservation cap time- they should have offered to move THAT table to the bar to finish up. It was a beautiful day in Austin- I wanted to be outside. We had a 3 pm meeting so, we had no choice but to take the bar bc it was 1:25 at this point. And then we sat. For a place with this reputation and a great lunch special- you think they could staff appropriately. They had a single bartender on working the full bar and running the service bar. No shade to him- he was hustling. But at this point it was 1:40 pm- we are seated inside not out- and have had no drinks or food. We ordered our drinks and the fix price menu, plus an order of the yucca chips to start us off. I thought. Those were the actual last things to arrive at our table. We got our first course together, my friend got her middle course right away while I sat and waited and she was completely done by the time my cane. No one offered an explanation, no one expressed sorrow, and I finally had to ask after the yucca chips which as I said- came at the end. The kicker is that the food was actually great! The crudos were fresh and yummy, my chicken sandwich had this amazing honey bun, Fries seasoned so well, and the sorbet at the end was fresh and tart. The bartender absolutely tried his best as well. It's just mystifying to me how off the kitchen can be and the lack of reservation reinforcement for a restaurant who lives on reservations.

Enjoyed that mix of tastes Corn gunkun- 3/5- ok not sure how to feel, initial taste is this vinagretty saucy then the corn flavor hits and then the warm rice Yasai cure- 5/5 must get, vegan version. Actually liked it personally better than the machi cure. But both the dishes are grt. The yucca chips are just grt Machi cure- 5/5 must get, a bit smokier taste than the yasai cure. Similar besides the smokier fish that adds a slightly more savory taste Akami te- 4/5- liked it but wouldnt necessarily have to get again. Very refreshing taste bc of the watermelon. Slight overlying spice. If u like more fruity items youd prob like Wagyu skewer- 4/5 the meat itself is good but not w the brown sauce. Would recommend eating the wagyu itself. Its flavorful and savory. Mapo dofu 4/5- nice the sichuan flavors rly came out in the celery ribbons and the shitake is pretty flavorful Walu walu- 4.3/5 - i liked the ponzu sauce w the fish a lot i will say the fish itself felt a bit hard to cut and chewy. But the flavor was nice Hot rock wagyu- 4/5- very tender and a fun experience. Flavor wise is nice but more regular Pork belly pumpkin- 4.5/5 - nice flavor combo w the pumpkin and jalapeno. Pork belly crisp was nice and pumpkin was gud Banana bread - 6/5 would get again, so good in terms of just flavor has a nice coffee like cream that makes it really classic good Jasmine cream 4/5- enjoyed it in the sense that the textures was interesting.
