Omg! How we just found out about this place. Best dumplings in Austin, and the best part is it's super affordable. Today was about the second weekend in a row, and the service was the best. As for the food? I can't describe how juicy and delicious the soup dumplings are; it is a must-try. But honestly, everything we got last time and today was also amazing. Give it a try; you will not be disappointed. You will take my word later.

We just love dumplings and needed to try them here. The parking was terrible for a Sunday, but still free. The service was friendly. We tried the soup dumplings, which were amazing big pockets of happiness with broth and meat inside. We tenderly picked them up and were careful not to lose any of the soup by using the soup spoons as cradles. The veggie eggrolls were perfectly crisp and came with a sweet and sour sauce, which we saved to go with the fried potstickers. I had the taro milk tea with crystal boba, which was a good size for not coming with refills. We enjoyed everything about this meal and cannot wait to come back and try the noodles and rest of the menu.

You walked in and everybody was so nice, we sat an extra table with a little baby. It was Mother's Day. He was so cute was taken in the food arrived in a timely manner hot, it was so delicious. You take one bite into the soup and you gotta be very careful, because the suit comes out and it was so delicious had such a smoky delicious flavor. The dish with noodles and the shrimp and the vegetables and pour it was a version of chow mein was cooked perfectly with so much flavor that it was out of this world. What a fantastic meal thank you thank you.

Suuuuuuuper disappointed with the consistency of this place. The first soup dumpling I ate had very light flavor but then the next one was PACKED with flavor(and super delicious) but then the third one I had was a middle ground between the two. This wasn't just an issue with the soup dumplings it was with all of the dumplings I had. I just don't understand how their dumplings are uniformed in size and filling but the flavor is just an after thought. I'm thoroughly disappointed as this place has the potential to be good but too much inconsistency ruined it. Side note crab rangoon were good, not too greasy and had a CONSISTENT delicious flavor.

Vegan Spicy Tofu and Mushroom Bok Choy Dumplings

Dumpling World rocked my world. Big props to them for specifically labeling their vegan dumplings, eliminating any guesswork or concerns, right off the bat. Your choices are bok choy & mushroom or spicy tofu, either steamed or pan-fried. That might not sound like a lot, but let me tell you, that alone is enough to paralyze me with indecision. You see, they're BOTH good, BOTH ways. You get six dumplings to an order so theoretically, we could be looking at 24 dumplings. Still, I might be able to power through if I was hungry enough. The skins walk a fine line between chewy and delicate, which is the ideal balance, if you ask me. Fillings are abundant and downright juicy. Admittedly, the spicy tofu might have the slight edge, with a distinctive mala warmth and meaty bite, but it's a very close call. Mix up your own dipping sauce from the soy sauce, vinegar, and chili oil provided for the perfect umami bite, every time.

I was really disappointed with my experience here. The portions are very small for what you pay. I ordered the chicken and shrimp combination, but it only came with 3 small shrimp and was mostly just chicken. On top of that, the customer service was lacking. Once our food was served, the staff never came back to check on us or see if we needed anything. I don't think I'll be returning.

I'm a stickler for a clean restaurant. And this place grossed me out. I probably should have left after walking in. It smelled of old fish when I walked in. Nothing felt clean. I was on a time crunch. I seen about 7 employees around while it was dead inside. The restroom was disgusting and smelt like mold. The floors were super dirty all around the restaurant. It makes me think of it's this bad up front, how bad is it on the back end as well. As for the food, I didn't finish it. The meat has a funny after taste inside the soup dumplings. Not much flavor to them. The pan fried dumplings looked nothing like the pictures. Not great either. The chicken was probably the best thing. But my stomach was definitely upset later. I'd say go at your own risk.

The food was delicious, and the servers were incredibly helpful and attentive. They really went above and beyond to assist me in making my decision. I particularly enjoyed my steamed bun. The portion of chow mien was generous, and I had enough for lunch the next day! There is parking at the triangle and also a garage with limited spots. It was also a good atmosphere for me to get some work done. My only regret is that there aren't more dumplings available at a place called Dumpling World.

S/O to Michael & Quyen's Yelp reviews for convincing me to give Dumpling World a try! Even though the menu offers a variety of other authentic Chinese dishes besides dumplings, I came here for one thing and one thing only--ALL THE DUMPLINGS. For a party of three, we were honestly surprised at how much we ordered and managed to finish. For the steamed dumplings and potstickers, they offered several options beyond the traditional flavors like Shrimp/Pork/Chive and Pork/Scallion. We decided to stick with the classics, just in different offerings. These were my favorites: Xiao Long Bao (Shrimp/Pork/Chive), Pan Fried Thumb Bun (Shrimp/Pork/Chive), and the Spicy & Sour Dumplings (Shrimp/Pork/Chive). I'm usually a steamed dumpling, soup, or dumplings-in-broth kinda girlie, but the Pan-Fried Thumb Buns... *chefs kiss* the crisp on the bottom buns were perfect. As for the other dumplings, though the dough is not as delicate as Din Tai Fung's, I'll take it since it wasn't chewy or tough like other authentic Chinese places I've been to in Austin. As others have pointed out... the bathroom... let's just say it has the same "well-used" vibe you'll find at many hole-in-the-wall authentic Chinese spots...

I heard rave reviews about this place but was disappointed with my experience here. Nothing we tried really stood out. The soup dumplings were large and juicy but lacked flavor. The spicy braised beef noodle soup was also underwhelming. The green beans had good flavor but were undercooked. The fried rice was a bit bland. The service was friendly and somewhat attentive. The atmosphere is pretty casual. Parking was hard to find.

Went to Dumpling World in the Triangle and tried their top dishes. We got seated in about 15 minutes and the staff was friendly and attentive throughout. Location is small, but pleasant. The chicken curry and potato dumplings were the highlight, very flavorful and well balanced. The spicy and sour shrimp and pork chive dumplings are interesting, most of the flavor is in the soup rather than the filling, so best eaten together. The wrappers are a bit thick and not very delicate. The pan fried pork soup buns were a bit underwhelming, fairly average, but had a nice crispy bottom. Overall a solid spot with some standout dishes and a few that are just okay, still worth trying.

Dumpling World was great. My husband and I shared the shrimp and pork soup dumplings. They are freshly made in-house and arrive steamy hot to your table. They are soooo delicious! We also shared the eggplant and pork noodles. I'm not the biggest fan of eggplant but this dish changed my mind. Big fan of the slurry, flat noodles. We ended up getting another order of the soup dumplings. They are just that good! Service was fast and friendly. Looking forward to coming back here again in the near future.

The timeliness of the response made it clear to me that there is an eye to quality control and that there's earnestness in making things better. I'll raise my "C-" to a "B-" and will give them another chance. ------------- Delivery: It took 1hr 25min for an order of soup, spring rolls, and lettuce wraps to be delivered... on a Monday... after lunch rush... when the restaurant location is less than 2 miles away. Online order: 1:03p; food in hand: 2:27p. That was a bummer. It's normally 30-40 minutes. Food: The small container of the dipping sauce (packed in the spring roll container) had a warped, melted lid... it was packed at the top of my complete order bag, and I suspect that it sat under a heat lamp for about 40 minutes. The spring rolls were soft and pithy and soaked in in the sauce. Kinda yucky. No crunch left. Food: I ordered chicken lettuce wraps. That came in a bi-partition container; lettuce on one side and chicken on the other. The lettuce was totally limp. The lettuce was dark green and looked like it was the nasty stuff you might peel off of a head of lettuce that sat too long in your refrigerator drawer. I'm sure it started out fresh when the meal was packed, but putting it in a container with hot food, and then next to a container of soup, and then letting it all sit under a heat lamp for 40 minutes did it no good. I did contact Tso's online and suggested that they pack lettuce separately for their lettuce wraps. Food: The chicken, the hot & sour soup, and the spring rolls were all a bit salty... saltier than usual, IMHO. Tso's is usually a solid "B", but this meal barely met a "C-".
