Elliot helped me today and you're missing out if you've never been here before. The customer service is excellent. They do not have a waiting list or take reservations, but I do highly recommend this establishment. They do have an outside patio so you can bring your Doggie. And the menu is extensive with Ramen noodle noodles and also dishes with rice and they also have some taco dishes as well. It's a treat to be here. It is in the domain right by Hattie, B and by Lavaca bar. It's a gem in the domain.

Tried the tan tan men yesterday and it was nice and creamy with thick noodles and a bit of spice! The fried chicken appetizer was quite nice as well. Staff was nice and helpful - was sat at the bar which can be a tiny bit uncomfortable but good if you come in by yourself but a more challenging in a party of 3. Overall good experience!

We were at The Domain and decided to stop by JINYA Ramen Bar. Even though it's a franchise, the ramen is consistently solid. We opted to sit at the bar and got seated immediately. We were blown away when our food came out in less than 10 minutes after ordering, especially during a dinner rush on a Saturday. Fast, friendly service all around. I ordered the Jinya Tonkotsu Black and added bamboo shoots. The broth had good depth and richness, though it leaned slightly under salted for my taste. Still very enjoyable overall. We also had the crispy chicken (karaage), which was juicy on the inside with a nice crisp exterior. Reliable spot if you're craving ramen while shopping at The Domain!

Jinya Ramen has always been one of my favorite ramen spots, and I've visited this location a couple of times in the past with consistently good experiences. The flavors were usually on point, and the salt level was well balanced, which is something I really appreciate in a good bowl of ramen. We came back recently and ordered two different bowls: the Spicy Vegan Tofu Ramen and the Red Fire Opal Ramen. The Spicy Vegan Tofu Ramen was very good -- flavorful, comforting, and nicely balanced, with the tofu adding a great texture and making the whole bowl feel hearty and satisfying. The Red Fire Opal Ramen, however, was much saltier than expected. The flavor itself was still good and had a nice spicy kick, but the saltiness was a bit overpowering and took away from what could have been a really delicious bowl. When it comes to ramen, the balance of the broth makes a huge difference, and this one just missed the mark a little for us. That said, Jinya still offers solid quality and good flavors overall. I just hope they're a bit more mindful with the salt level next time, because it can really make or break the experience. We'll definitely be back and hope to update this to a higher rating next time. For now, it's a solid 4 stars .

Comfort ramen spot in Austin! We always order vegetarian ramens there! All three options are good, just depends on what you are feeling that day we order different things. The ramen is kind of on the salty side, but I think it's bc I usually eat everything less salty so it might be just personal preference! Definitely somewhere you want to try where you are in Domain area!

This place was disappointing. The apps were great but the ramen falls short. Loved the Poke tacos and Crispy Chicken. The broth lacked depth and flavor. The additional toppings came on separate plates instead of in the ramen bowl. I didn't want to finish my bowl of ramen nor take it to go as leftovers. The egg was 10/10 though cooked perfectly. The bartender was nice and attentive. The staff had to yell something every time someone enters or leaves the establishment which is trying too hard to be cute and got annoying after the fifth time. The inside has a bar, ramen bar seating, booth tables and a patio. Located in the Domain shopping center so might be a bit of a walk once you find parking.

We stopped by Jinya Ramen Bar at the Domain during happy hour and overall had a good experience. The ramen itself was really tasty and surprisingly filling with rich broth and solid portions. It definitely hits the spot if you are craving comfort food and quality noodles. The service is also pretty good. That said the happy hour menu could be better. It was only $2 off Sapporo and none of the ramen options were included which felt a bit limited. Still worth going for the ramen itself but I would not go out of my way specifically for happy hour deals.

Shout out to our server Eden. She was professional and patient with my fickle mind. I'm an Asian fusion snob but Jinya makes it to my list of to go. I've gone to a different location from a different city and this was a cozy place, I like it. Not too noisy crowd although we beat the long line! They give military discount but I think it was forgotten on our tab. We ordered the last Tuesday deal of the month and I'm glad we did! But I loved the appetizers---forgive me for forgetting their official menu names---shrimp tempura, squid balls and edamame. Love love the drinks. I had the Sakura and my bestie had the Peachtini now that was the highlight!

JINYA is officially my new obsession. Everything I've tried so far tastes amazing--full of flavor and always hits the spot. Definitely a go-to when I'm craving something good. That broth?? Next level. Nice atmosphere with seating inside, at the bar or on the patio. Walked in hungry, walked out full and happy. Even with a crowd, they kept it moving and didn't miss. This might be my new go-to ramen spot.

Slightly modern (American) take on classic ramen. The broth was absolutely delicious in the Tonkotsu Black ramen we tried. I loved everything about it, except the fried onions. I'm reminded of a classic steak when I eat these fried onions and did not appreciate this memory intruding on my ramen experience. That being said, everything else about this ramen was excellent. We also tried the signature mocktail kiwi sparkler and the matcha lychee lemonade - both were sweet and flavorful. The kiwi came with a rock sucker candy which was a fun addition but too sweet for me to appreciate it at dinnertime. We shared a bowl of ramen (large enough to split) with crispy rice with spicy tuna and aburi oshi-sushi salmon. These 'pressed' sushi was tasty but the rice was very different from classic sushi rice. Seating at the bar is open and first come-first served. There are a few tables inside, a large communal table, and some seating outdoors Overall good quality if you don't mind a somewhat less than traditional ramen meal

Absolutely loved this restaurant. First time here. Sat at the bar. There are small tables and a sushi bar available as well. No wait at all when we got there. Absolutely loved the service and the atmosphere. The food was amazing, large portions, great flavor. Little pricey, but very good quality and fresh food. Would highly recommend and return. Great area, walking distance to many other bars and restaurants.

Ugh. I really really want to give Jinya 5/5, the ramen (spicy chicken) is always consistent. But over the years they've become a victim of shrinkflation. Almost ~$19-$20 for the spicy chicken ramen with not a lot of meat or veggies makes it hard to justify at times. But the heart wants what it wants. Service was ok. The hostess seemed a little annoyed although they weren't busy. Our server was really nice and friendly, and checked up on us when she could.

Great variety of signature ramen bowls and you can also customize your own and add extras. I like that they also have appetizers, salads and rice bowls if ramen isn't your thing. Overall great experience.

The Robot Ramen was light, yet rich, the meat was succulent (and not too thin, at the risk of being dry) and the noodles were al dente--both were cooked nicely. Lastly, the Pork Chashu Fried Rice was a burst of umami flavor, from the shoyu glazed pork rib to the shiitake mushroom lying underneath. Solid dish--no notes! Service: No complaints! We had a reservation and were seated immediately upon walking in. Our waiter was attentive. Ambiance: Casual, modern. A vibrant experience, to say the least, from the flora draping from the ceiling, to the warm colors permeating throughout. Parking: Street parking available. Pay note of parking signs!

Really enjoyed the Pom mule drink on happy hour. The cucumber refresher was a little too sweet for me. The spinach dumplings and barbacoa dumplings were both great! Loved the sauces that came with both. Chicken karaage was what you'd expect, would probably try something else next time just to try something new. The hira hira roll was really good! The way they presented the sauces made it slightly hard to dip your roll in it, but would still order again. My friends loved the transformer roll. Yuka-tekkan was a let down for me, just not very flavorful. Overall, would definitely come back for some rolls and the happy hour! There is better sushi on s congress but I still think this is a solid choice. Inside has really cool decor and would be a good place to bring someone to impress a date.

Apr 8, 2026 review:…read more I've been at Nori two times in person and recently tried their to-go order. We got one Austin roll ($22), volcano roll ($15), creamy spicy tan tan ramen ($20), teriyaki sesame tofu yakisoba ($20). I have had their sushi and yakisoba but tried their ramen for first time. I was impressed with their packaging. As you can see in picture, veggies and noodles box was on top and soup at bottom. The only thing I didn't like how noodles became very sticky because of how tight they were packed. So I got it as cold (because I live 30 mins away) and sticky. Ramen came with all the veggies like grilled Chinese broccoli, tofu, sweet corn, marinated shiitake mushrooms, red onions and negi. Yakisoba noodles had the Stir-fried noodles tossed with cabbage, scallion, carrot, marinated shiitake mushrooms, and fragrant negi in a savory house sauce. It was good if you like this type of noodles. Austin roll had Smoked tempeh, tempura tofu, jalapeño, pickles. And on the to Avocado, roasted garlic oil, tempura flakes, smoked paprika, teriyaki. Volcano roll was a deep fried roll which had spinach, avocado, sweet potato. On top: spicy mayo, sweet soy sauce, chili sauce, Caviart and tempura onion. I would say this is the best vegetarian sushi place I've found in Austin. So if you're in search, this wouldn't disappoint you.

Not sure if anyone reads this, but I'll comment anyways…read more I went here with my husband and overall enjoyed it. I've been here 3 times now. I enjoyed it enough to come back a few times and will come back again. In the spirit of constructive criticism, here is what I have to say, just a few things to note though: The bar is not a real bar. It's just another table, but looks like a bar. The bar doesn't actually function like you'd expect a bar to function. Not a dealbreaker, but a bit misleading. You still get a server, can't seat yourself at the bar, etc. Might as well just sit at a table then. If someone reads this, I'd highly suggest at least considering making the bar function like a real bar! The tables are very close together. I know the place is small so this isn't something you can really change without losing money by reducing the amount of tables, but boy they are packed close. This is more something that maybe customers would like to know though. Management is all white, but the sushi chefs are Japanese. The servers are mostly white too. Not that this is a problem, but it does strike me as a little bit surprising and ever so slightly off-putting. At least, it makes me question what's going on initially. I know supposedly the owners are Japanese, per their website, but it might be nice to see more Japanese people in charge, at a Japanese place. The bussers look to be the hardest working kids out there. I hope they get paid fairly. Every time I've been there, they're the ones rushing around as fast as they can, cleaning up tables all over the place. I'm surprised they only have a couple of them, when they have way more servers. Not sure if this is normal, but they seem to be working really hard. There is no "Happy Hour", Google lied. Google has on their page that they have a happy hour when you look up this place. Turns out they don't. The servers are a little bit loud and rowdy sometimes. I know they all look to be in their mid to early 20's, but it might get to be a bit much. When they go back into their little corner or "hideout" they seem to be screaming and talking really loudly sometimes. Also, they like to scream "CORNER" constantly. I get that this might be a thing they do, to avoid crashing into each other, but there's no need to scream it across the entire building. Especially when it is quiet already. Speaking of screaming, when you walk in, they scream (I looked up what it is so forgive me if this is a typo): IRASHAIMASE (which apparently is "welcome in" in Japanese. The thing is, instead of making it a classy, cute thing they do, they scream it as obnoxiously as they can, like junior high kiddos would scream "67" these days. It went from cute, to annoying after about the 3rd time I heard them do it, while I was eating. If they all said it in a pleasant classy way, I would really like it, although it's become really quite obnoxious. It even looks like some of the employees are over it. I can't imagine how many times they do that daily. Lastly, the music does not match the atmosphere at all. One time I went in, they had rock music on, the next, they had country. The last time I went, they had 80's. They should either have classical or wordless music such as jazz, or some kind of Japanese music. Not sure why they have such out-of-place music. My most previous server was a doll! I also hope the servers get paid. Some of them weren't as friendly, but I won't rag on individual people, as they may have been just having a bad day. The most previous one had pink hair though and was super cute and friendly. As for another good thing, the ambiance and food are definitely above average and the prices don't break the bank. Overall, quite enjoyable place. None of the things I mentioned should make you avoid this place by any means. This is mostly for the staff and management to fix a few things, if they care. That is it! Hopefully someone at least reads this. Not sure if managers actually read these reviews though. If not, oh well. Hope this helps someone one day!
