Bento Box Chicken Broccoli Egg Drop Soup Pork Dumplings
    Zachary S.

The service was good. Our waitress was attentive even though they were busy and were timely about everything we needed. The place looked okay, it looks like a topical Asian restaurant. What it was lacking in style, it over compensated with smell. You could smell the food as soon as you walk in. The food was great. The price for their bento deal is good comes with a soup, entree, and two side. The entrees we got were sweet & sour chicken, chicken and broccoli, and general Cho chicken. All good general Cho had a little kick , sweet & sour was tasty, broccoli and chicken a great substitute for beef.

Ordered takeout from here, the food was delicious & fresh. We each got a bento box, I love that we were able to customize the box as we wanted. The fried rice & chicken chow mein were excellent, really enjoyed the broccoli chicken & pork dumplings. We did not care for the egg drop soup, the crunchy wontons were stale.

My go to is the Bento box or chicken chow mein, and you know how when you get in the car you can smell the food well this is on another level. The food here is delicious! The portions on any of the dishes are pretty generous. They have vegetarian entrees and sides, like the cheese puffs yum! I just met Shane but this place always feels like your friend's house you get invited to for a good meal.

Bento Teppanyaki is in a newer strip mall in Meuller off of Barbara Jordon Blvd. Lots of cool shops and restaurants in the area. This was a bright and cheerful Asian restaurant that offers a make your own bento box option. You pick an entree, an appetizer, a soup, egg roll, etc and your lunch comes in a nice bento box presentation. Everything was tastyand the service was prompt. They also offer lunch specials but the bento box option is recommended. Give it a try

Bento lunch includes: Egg Drop Soup, Orange Chicken, Vegetable Dumplings, rice, the ever-present red sauce, and crispy noodles.

THE STAFF IS SO LOVELY! This place reminded me of eating Chinese food with my grandparents in the best possible way. They liked to eat the old standbys in a familiar, friendly setting. You know: those crunchy noodles in comforting soup, sweet and sour crispy fish or chicken, that sweet red sauce, egg rolls, etc. The price is right, and the nostalgia is real.

What a joy this place was to eat. The box comprised of delectable meat. The sushi such a wonderful treat. The service was fantastical from the greet. Our sever "Xm" was so very sweet!

Great service and Great food. We tried a lot of different things. They was all great. Food didn't take long after ordering. Portions were huge.

    Bento box with Hunan Chicken

I was a little frustrated with this spot because although they have a Japanese name, the food is entirely Chinese. Nevertheless, I ordered the Hunan Chicken in a bento box to give it a try and it was fine. A little too salty and lacking depth in flavor, but enjoyable. The noodles were pretty greasy and the rest of the accompaniments were not memorable. The restaurant is cute and in a great location so I expected more, but it's not any better than your run-of-the-mill Chinese restaurant. One thing that I will say was great was the service. It was not very busy when we visited, so our server was very attentive. He took our orders quickly, was kind and helpful in describing dishes to guests in my party, and made sure we had everything we needed.

    Veggie bento box!!

I went here right before Thanksgiving! It is fairly new so I wanted to try. The menu has many vegetarian options which was nice. I got the veggie bento which had soup, rice, tofu and dumplings. They were all so good! I think next time I will try the other tofu option as they had a variety. The soups was also very good! I would totally come here just to get some of the soup on a cold day. Service here was nice. The waiter was super helpful with the menu and nice in general even though he was busy. I also thought the ambiance was cute. I will definitely go here again with my husband since there are multiple vegetarian and non vegetarian options!

Another night with Bento Teppanyaki, and it did not disappoint! My boyfriend and I didn't feel like cooking, so naturally, we placed an order here. My go-to is the chow mein, and his is always general tso. We got two rolls of sushi, which were delicious. We placed the order online and it was ready within 15 min, which gave us enough time to get ready and go pick it up. Service was fast and friendly. We will be back!

MAN!!!! Once again they blew my mind. My new FAVORITE WINGS. JALEPENO PEPPER WINGS. Fantastic. I've left reviews for this place before. And i continue to be amazed. Service is great. And they are willing to adjust orders which tells me it's FRESHLY PUT TOGETHER not sitting in a pot ALLDAY !

    Eating in a hallway

The food was delicious, but just like any other fast casual, there was zero atmosphere. You are basically sitting in a hallway to eat unless you take your food to go. The irony is that it's not fast casual, somebody comes up and takes your order and then brings you your bento box which can be a traditional bento or a combination of Japanese and Chinese food or you can go straight Chinese like me. Everything was super yummy and filling so no complaints there. Plus, it was right across from our hotel so we could walk there.

Overall service and ambiance are lovely. But the food is lacking in some flavor. I ordered the chicken broccoli with steamed rice and the rice was crispy in some places (meaning it was not cooked within the last hour. Chicks and broccoli was just okay. The staff person at the front said they were only open a month so maybe it'll get better.

Both of the sandos were perfect. The wagyu beef sando had a little bit more flavor but it was slight and both are worth trying. Every roll was enjoyable and I felt like each had a little twist that really made the flavors explosive, like a shaved onion or a crispy puff on the side of the roll. The service was stellar and they were easy to book on OpenTable I also tried the green tea mocktail and found it to be light and refreshing and I was happy that it wasn't super sweet My two favorite items were: 1. The Edamame - which were charred in a way that I feel like I've never experienced it before and had such great flavor. 2. The scallop roll had a thinly sliced shaved truffle on top that made the roll simple yet out of this world. Shout out to the manager who came by just to check in. I always think that is such a sweet gesture.

I particularly went there on a Wednesday to try their A5 Wagyu sandwich, but because I hadn't been there in so long, I wanted to have all the rolls that sounded so amazing on the happy hour menu that I couldn't even get to the sandwich. My sister and her fiance were running late and so we were asked to sit and wait (party of 6) until they showed up and then we were sat at the table. We had 3 others joined us before our server came to take our order for drinks and appetizes. We took a minute to review before she came back and I ordered some edamame, and some sashimi for an appetizer. The edamame came out quickly but the others didn't come out until just before the hibachi chef came to our table to start cooking. I ordered white rice for my hibachi with shrimp and veggies. The food was not too bad, the sushi I definitely enjoyed more than my veggies and shrimp only because the shrimp was overcooked. The chef gave me fried rice but I guess he wasn't looking at the chart that the server gave him because he also gave my sister's fiance fried rice but he wanted udon noodles instead. We weren't charged extra for the error which was nice though! It was very loud inside so I will say it's very difficult to talk with other people on the table except for the people next to you. Everyone is shouting and everything echos inside since it's concrete floors and ceilings. We had brought a cake but since my family didn't want to stay for cake due to it being too loud, we asked the server for it back to take home and enjoy.

For roughly $60 the wife was full and we had roughly 6 dishes and one cocktail (I was still slightly hungry). Think of it as more of a tapas style ordering. Soft shelled crab - My absolute favorite and by far the best dish! Crispy from the breading, soft shell and subtle crab taste, and to top it off the fried egg adds some creaminess from the yolk. Not greasy at all due to the way it's fried. And who doesn't like a little microgreen to add some freshness to it?! It could likely use a little more salt, and this particular time the yolk was a overcooked. Sushi Tacos - 2nd favorite! You get two, and frankly I prefer not sharing these (although my wife forced me to). It's such a unique dish. Each taco is palm sized. They take a yummy piece of laver (seaweed), coat one side and deep fry it to make a nice hard shell taco casing. Then they fill it with sushi rice, top it with plentiful tuna, add a slice of avocado, and top it with micro greens. Refreshing, light (once you squeeze the tiny lime on top), slightly filling due to the rice, and absolutely delicious. Takoyaki - I'm not a fan, but the wife is. For me it's a texture thing. Even when visiting Japan I didn't enjoy this dish. Honestly though I do think it deserves far more bonito flakes, as the dish is meant to look alive from the waving flakes. Honestly we love this place so much, I always get engrossed in the food so much I forget to take pics.
