I always know if the food is good if I don't stop eating the moment I feel full. This was bomb because I was stuffed and still trying to finish. I would def go back and recommend, I was iffy in the beginning because of the mixed reviews but I'm glad I gave it a try! Service was great, not sure what the guys name was but he was really sweet and helpful and conversational throughout the whole ordering process.

This food truck is worth the hefty price tag, as the food portions are big and the taste is amazing. We got the New York steak w fried rice and filet mignon w shrimp fried rice. The veggies in the combo have a nice grilled, smoky flavor. Service was great and speedy.

Good. But fried rice was inedible, sooooo SALTY! I got the Chicken and Shrimp Combo and paid an extra 2.25 for fried rice. Big mistake. The fried rice was so incredibly salty (and a bit greasy) it all went in the trash :( such a waste. They give you LOTS of rice. I got 5 good sized shrimp and a good amount of chicken. Both were good. The veggies were sparse but pretty good. Wish they gave more. And definitely wish I'd got the steamed rice.

Quick and delicious. The service was great. I got the filet mignon with fried rice and veggies. It's a huge portion enough for two and not over priced . I will definitely be returning .

Did not have a reservation on this occasion, but they always make me feel welcome and manage to fit us in. Sat on the outdoor covered patio that was cool and shaded. Started the meal with cocktails including Lycheetini with Deep Eddy Vodka, Giffard Lichi-li. lemon, cranberry, I cut the cranberry. Also had a Fresa Paloma with Socorro Reposado Tequila, Contratto, strawberry, lime, grapefruit, five-spice that was very sweet and garnished with a flower. You are given a card where you can mark your dim sum selections. I ordered the Shrimp Pancake, Snow Crab Ball and Chinese Sausage Sticky Rice. The standout was the shrimp pancake that had a really great texture and flavor. The snow crab ball had a strange texture with shrimp surrounding the snow crab claw. The Chinese Sticky Rice is always a favorite. Also ordered the Truffle Egg Fried rice and Birds Nest with Seasonal Vegetable. The Truffle rice is so flavorful like a flavor explosion in your mouth. The Birds Nest is made with fried potato shreds which contain the a variety of vegetables including cauliflower, peppers, mushrooms and asparagus. The nest is also edible and has a crunchy texture. The presentation of the food is amazing and everything came out hot and fresh. The flavors were on point, and you can tell there's attention to detail in the preparation. Service was attentive outdoors and the pacing of dishes felt just right for a relaxed brunch. This restaurant is truly a gem whether you come for brunch or dinner service. Will definitely be back.

The place reminded me of Ling Wu in the Grove area because the decor looked similar. Maybe they are owned by the same people? Firstly, I was impressed with the fact they had a FREE parking garage nearby since this is in the downtown area and next to Whole Foods. It took me a bit to find it as I'm directionally challenged, but I did and was just running a bit late. We really enjoyed the food and cocktails. I got the Singaporean noodles, a mezcal drink, and a sake. The serving size was big so I had plenty to take home. We shared many of the other dumplings and dim sum items. Everything was very good! The place wasn't too crowded so after we paid our bill we sat around for a while longer to chat and catch up. Usually someone would come by to see if we needed or wanted anything further, but no one did so we kept chatting and left. I'm happy to know of a central location with easy parking as a future place to meet people. I wish they had a happy hour because the bill for 3 of us was unexpectedly higher than usual.

Both of the sandos were perfect. The wagyu beef sando had a little bit more flavor but it was slight and both are worth trying. The service was stellar and they were easy to book on OpenTable I also tried the green tea mocktail and found it to be light and refreshing and I was happy that it wasn't super sweet My two favorite items were: 1. The Edamame - which were charred in a way that I feel like I've never experienced it before and had such great flavor. 2. The scallop roll had a thinly sliced shaved truffle on top that made the roll simple yet out of this world. Shout out to the manager who came by just to check in. Thank goodness it wasn't a typical Texas triple-digit day outside. I started with a neat pour of Suntory (whisky), followed by a refreshing lychee martini, the cucumber sunomono, and the pan-seared duck breast for my main dish. We finished off the night sharing the matcha crème brûlée. The food and drinks themselves were great. However, service was a bit slow overall; I had to ask for the status of my main dish and had to flag our server down when we wanted another round of drinks. On my first visit, I tried almost every small plate on the specials menu, which ended up being a mistake because that didn't seem to be where the restaurant shines. Several of the dishes, including the tako wasabi and monkfish, were heavily salted and difficult to enjoy. Because the restaurant had such strong reviews, I decided to give it another try and focused instead on the barbecue items, skewers, and dipping ramen from the main menu. Everything I ordered the second time was excellent. The skewers were savory and flavorful, the barbecue meats were tender, and the dipping ramen came with wonderfully bouncy, chewy noodles that paired perfectly with the rich broth. I'm glad I gave Kemuri Tatsu-ya another chance. I'd definitely return and would recommend sticking to the main menu, especially the barbecue, skewers, and dipping ramen.
