We had never eaten here before. It's the closest Chinese restaurant to us. (Wok and Grille in Lago Vista is closer, but after a change of ownership, the food quality there dropped to 'unacceptable.') I ordered Mongolian beef and my wife chose cashew chicken. I had a large hot and sour soup and an order of four vegetable egg rolls. The soup was good but I was disappointed there were no little chunks of pork in it. The egg rolls were the worst I've ever tried to eat, after requesting soy sauce and hot mustard, which should've accompanied this dish. They were previously frozen and gooey inside. Just awful. The beef was tender and the onions were cooked perfectly in my Mongolian beef, but there was barely any sauce. Same with my wife's dish: very little sauce. Neither dish had much flavor. My Mongolian beef was supposed to be spicy. There were three peppers on my plate, but it wasn't spicy at all. I had to drench everything with hot oil. The hot tea was too weak to drink. I'm 74 and traveled the country for 35 years during my career working for a Japanese company. I ate at least one Asian meal per week at a Chinese, Japanese, Thai or sushi restaurant. Tried Four Seasons Chinese Restaurant in Leander and had a pretty average experience. We ordered the veggie egg rolls, orange chicken, General Tso's chicken, and beef lo mein. Everything was cooked fine, but overall the food just lacked flavor. The beef lo mein, in particular, was surprisingly bland, which was a bit strange. The orange chicken was also just okay but not memorable either. It made me wonder if it's more of a seasoning or ingredient quality issue. Ordered here on Christmas and I was so happy they were open. The service was quick and I do believe the food was fresh and hot but delivery took a bit of time so it arrived cold. We were able to pop everything in the air fryer to warm so it was fine. We just ordered the poo poo platter. The crab Rangoon could have had more filling, it was mostly wonton. The chicken was overly breaded and did not have much flavor. The beef skewer was my favorite. The friend shrimp tastes like frozen fried shrimp, not bad but I expected something else. It started with a craving for shrimp toast, which I hardly see in Chinese restaurants anymore. But I love it. So I did a search who has shrimp tacos because I really wanted some. And surprise not far from me. It was the four seasons, and they had it. It was one dreary day, rain on and off and I decided this is what I wanted. Drove up the street about 15 minutes and found the four seasons. It shares a parking lot with the business next-door. And pretty much that's all that's around there. So I parked the car and walked in. There was only one other table occupied, and the woman told me pick whatever table I wanted. When I sat down, she came over with the menus and asked me what I'd like to drink. Got the ice tea and started looking over the menu. I then ordered the shrimp toast, and the chicken and hot garlic sauce. As a lunch special it comes with soup and an eggroll. After ordering it, I sift my tea and looked over the place. It was pretty spacious with lots of tables. While waiting for the food, a couple more tables filled up. It wasn't long before she brought out my shrimp, toast and wonton soup. I picked up the first piece of shrimp toast and took a bite and it was so good. Another couple of bites and it was done. Next I tried the one time soup, the broth itself was richly flavored With two wontons in it. The wontons were firm and the filling was delicious. I would've been perfectly content if my lunch was just to shrimp, toast, and soup. Then the chicken with hot garlic sauce came out. I have had this at many other Chinese restaurants and it has been good but this one was wow. Lots of chicken on it good flavoring and if you'd like a bit of spice and heat this had it. I finished and paid a very reasonable price. I hate to say this, but I came back again a couple weeks later, and had the exact same thing all over and it was just as good. We ordered online and it was very simple . We had no problems at all with their ordering system. I have not been inside the restaurant since it changed hands and became Four Seasons so I really can't comment on the decor. I don't usually take delivery, but I did this time and they were very prompt. The reason for the three stars is because we had a 50-50 experience. I ordered the cashew chicken with fried rice. I found it tasty and although it wasn't the best I've ever had. It was good. My husband ordered the Combination Lo Mein-it was shrimp, chicken and beef in a brown sauce with lo mein noodles. It was quite dark looking. My husband tried a couple bites, but then informed me he felt it wasn't edible. He didn't care for the taste at all. Drove by this place a few times since moving to the area, but had not tried it. So, my husband and I found out they delivered (not thru an app, but actually from them directly). I always check on Yelp first for reviews, and all seemed good. What I was most excited to see was two things you don't see on a Chinese menu anymore...Shrimp toast and Egg Foo Young! So, I ordered Edamame, Shrimp Toast, Sweet and Sour Chicken, Beef with Beef Pepper Steak and Egg Foo Young. Edamame, was good. Sweet and Sour chicken,, was just "tempura" type batter over chicken (did not get vegetables ), so was not impressed with that item. I just picked up chicken and dipped in sweet and sour sauce. The Shrimp toast was great! Both of us gobbled that up first thing! My husband loved his beef pepper steak, and actually finished it all (he usually saves half for next day). But, the best part was the egg doo young! OMG...so crispy and HUGE pieces! Now, I could only eat one (they give you two and some broccoli, don't know why), and liked it better with the sweet and sour sauce! Have been driving by this restaurant on Bagdad for a while, from the original Great Wall to now renovated Four Seasons. I was curious on how a Cantonese restaurant will sustain in business here in Leander. I decided to give it a try first with a takeout order for pickup. The lady who picked up the call was enthusiastic and welcoming. I asked for anyone who can speak Cantonese, out of curiosity, and found the owner who could, to make myself familiar again with the dishes and see how the owner may respond. Based on their menu on the website, under chef's special, I ordered in Cantonese the salt and pepper squid and sweet and sour pork who should be traditional Cantonese favorites. I was graciously told not to get the pork dish as it is made in a more westernized method. Surprised to me that she was candid about it and she recommended some other dishes that might accommodate for my small kid. We ended up trying the sesame beef. In 20 minutes were ready but I was there 5 minutes early to check out the place. It was close to 8 on Wednesday's night and sadly to see only a table of guests dining in. The staff was very nice with a big smile. The owner was chatting with the guests and when my order came, she walked over and we chatted for a minute. The food smelled great and the fragrance filled my car. The squid was fried lightly and crispy stir-fried with jalapeño and red chili pepper and onion. It was not too salty or spicy, just right. The beef was fried, doused in a tangy and vinegary dark sauce, with some steamed broccoli sesame seeds. The breading was not overly thick. In my opinion the food and services were great that hopefully more are willing to give it a try. I love this place. I've been coming since it was Great Wall, but like it even better now. It's my go-to whenever I want Chinese. Their veggie options are great and the owner is so nice. My favorites, depending on mood, are the kung pao tofu, sesame tofu, and orange tofu. The first if I want more veggies and a savory sauce, and the other two when I want something more fried and with a sweeter sauce. The eggplant tofu is also good (and spicier). My first take order from here was great but this time around it literally made me sick. I got the shrimp toast which I LOVED the first time. This time they were not fully cooked and wet in the middle. I added crab Rangoon to my order and those were overdone and not good. I could tell them fried in the same oil because they tasted like shrimp and other fish. The Chinese biscuits were burnt and strangely enough eating one of these is what made me puke. That's all I got as I just wanted some yummy appetizers this Friday evening. Unfortunately my Friday night ended with some quality time with the toilet. I decided to try Four Seasons because I wanted Chinese and wanted a new place. I checked Yelp and decided to give it a go. I am so glad that I did. One of my parameters on rating is about the Lo Mein. I had the shrimp Lo Mein and can honestly say, it's the best I have had in the Austin area in the 18 years I have lived here. I didn't get the lunch special, so I can't talk about the soups. I ordered a pork egg roll and it was good and fresh. They have quite a variety of dishes to offer but I will have a hard time ordering something else besides the Lo Mein. Very large portion and I intended on taking some home but I couldn't stop eating it. Plate empty. Small, homey place. Prices very reasonable. Food was hot and fresh when served. I don't do take out and rarely take food home except Chinese. It's still not as good as fresh, but not bad. I prefer to eat in the restaurant with the food fresh from the kitchen. This is a small business, locally owned, not a franchise. They do delivery for a charge. People may get upset about charges, but they are not in the business to give their product away. Tips on top of delivery charges should be added as well. Their prices are very reasonable, especially for the amount of food and the flavors. Great job, Four Seasons. You rock! read more

Good Chinese Food is hard to find and I think we've found it in Leander. Very friendly and fast and reliable delivery. I am only taking off one star because they forgot my soup order last time but I will update when they redeem the credit for a new order. Love the lemon chicken dish, it's cooked to perfection. The fried rice could use a little more seasoning but I am grateful for a tasty meal that isn't a stupid fast food chain in Leander. We went for dinner around 6:30. As soon as we walked in we were greeted and seated. The place was decent, quaint. They have seating (all tables) on either side of the restaurant. The lighting was nice, not too dim and not so harsh. We could hear the rustling of the cook in the back, but it wasn't awkwardly quiet. The staff were phenomenal, very attentive and kind. One girl even came to chat with my daughter and show her a toy. We ordered their Shrimp Toast and it was yummy, I practically inhaled them. My daughter ordered the Wonton soup for her entre and we were all very impressed with how large it actually was. She ate as much as her belly could handle. (she's a picky eater) so we know it was delicious. My partner ordered the Sesame chicken and loved it. I ordered their Kungpao Chicken and was pleased. But it was their egg drop soup that really sealed the deal for me. I haven't been able to find a really delicious egg drop soup since moving out here and theirs was just *chefs Kiss*.
