I used the free Grub-hub service I have thru Amazon Prime. The driver arrived in time to avoid the Thunder shower that followed. The delivery arrived earlier than predicted which is always appreciated. I don't believe we have ever eaten at Lin's Cafe II. All our meals were piping hot upon arrival. My son's Chicken Fried Rice was as ordered sans veggies with chicken breast only. He gave it 5 thumbs up. Hubby's was Lo-Mein with Mixed Proteins. He was very impressed- the brown sauce was light and delicious, plenty of lo-mein noodles and very tender beef, chicken and tasty shrimp. I order the Szechuan noodles. They were offered with mild, medium or hot spicing. I requested 1 chili peppers worth. It turned out just a little more spicy than I thought it would, but I thought it was very good! My mixed proteins were also super tender and flavorful. The portions were ample and we all will have leftovers for lunch tomorrow. I definitely recommend. read more

Excellent. We have dined in and ordered takeout multiple times. At this point, everything we've tried on the menu has been a hit. Our current favorites are the chicken fried rice, the chicken egg rolls, and the tangerine chicken. Their portions are large. My boyfriend and I have shared a plate before and been full. The staff is always friendly. Tip: look closely at the decor when you walk in at first glance, it is Asian style, but there is Bible scripture and references to Jesus everywhere which we love. read more

I saw the great reviews for Lin's Cafe II so we decided to stop in since we were nearby. The place was nicely decorated and looked like what I would expect, a nice family restaurant.The service was great and it was truly a team effort, we saw many nice folks. We started with Hot Green Tea. We both ordered a large Wonton Soup with Meat and Vegetables. We shared an order of Singapore Noodles and an order of dry sauteed Green Beans. The Soups were HUGE as described and full of delicious things. The noodles had a yellow Curry sauce and had Onions, various Peppers, Mushrooms and assorted Meats including Shrimp, Beef, Roast Pork and Chicken with Mi Fun style Rice Noodles, similar to Angel Hair Pasta. The Green Beans were quite possibly the best I have ever eaten. I highly recommend this establishment and I can't wait to return to try more of the menu items. read more

I had the jalapeño beef, egg rolls, and crab Rangoon. Everything was fresh and full of flavor. The crab Rangoon was a bit flat but had a normal amount of filling and tasted good. The jalapeño beef was loaded with jalapeños and red and green bell peppers, with a flavorful sauce and tender, not-too-fatty beef, actual beef. This is the kind of Chinese food I've been looking for in Austin. The food tasted fresh, and like it was made with care, with generous portions. The customer service was welcoming, attentive, and genuinely kind. You can tell they take pride in both their food and service. The restaurant has a good amount of seating and it looked nice. The service was so wonderful too - they even called me to double check I knew I had ordered pickup from the Leander location (since they have another location in Georgetown). We stopped in for dinner on a Sunday night 7:30. We were sat right away, very clean restaurant and super friendly staff. We ordered orange chicken based on the amount of reviews that mentioned it. It did not disappoint-very fresh, great flavor and generous portion sizes. We also tried the sesame chicken, served with steamed rice. I found the flavor to be really good, and the chicken was cooked well. I will definitely come back for this alone. For starters we tried the egg rolls, won ton soup and egg drop soup--all wonderful. The noodles were thick, very dry and tough, not what you'd expect when eating lo mein and the veggies sizes were huge. The chicken was ok but not worth another visit in my opinion. OK, NOW, my husband and I finally came IN to the restaurant. So, now I can say, they have GREAT service! As soon as you walk in they direct you to a table, and waitress was right there. Even though we knew the menu from ordering thru the delivery app, we wanted to try a couple other things. I am telling you, the Singapore noodles is something I have never seen at any other Asian restaurant, and it is the best item on their menu! Now, for entree, my husband tried the Szechuan Beef and Scallops. I tried it, and not as spicy, as thought it would be, by it's name, and looked like not a lot on the plate. I got the Happy Family (Shrimp, Scallops, Beef and chicken with mixed vegetables in brown sauce). Again, I like getting all the meats (like the Singapore noodles and in the past the combination fried rice). It was very good, not over sauced (like some places do). We finished our plates! (*took rice home, as noodles filled us up). The thing I love about this place is is had dishes you don't see at other places. Yes, they have your "traditional dishes"...and if you want that, fine. But, when I go to a restaurant, I look for items that are different. So, always go to their "Specialties" section! You will not be disappointed! Will keep eating (delivery and inside). I came here with my family after driving home from college after spring break. For the appetizer I got to try one of their Egg Rolls which came out hot, fast (~5-7 min), and crispy. It was filled with what tasted like pork, cabbage, and carrots and was very well-seasoned so I recommend trying it out. The Steamed Vegetables with Shrimp has a side of Brown Sauce and your choice of white, brown, or fried rice. I opted for the brown rice which was soft, fluffy, and moist so no complaints there. The shrimp was cooked beautifully and was surprisingly tender and the brown sauce was sweet and garlicky. So if you enjoy garlic like me it's a win. However, I do think the vegetables could have been cooked more as they were a bit too crunchy for my liking, but overall not bad! Service and ambience were phenomenal. The staff was very quick in bringing out our food and were very kind and sociable. In addition, the place was very clean and the bathroom was spotless! My order is typically ready to go when I arrive, and I always choose to pay at the restaurant when I pick it up. The portion sizes are decent for the area and similar to other Chinese restaurants. Our service was unbeatable. Our server offered water and a choice of meal beverages as soon as we sat at the table of our choice. She brought our beverages immediately with menus. She checked back and asked if we were ready as soon as we played our menus on the table. ( 2 other customers there whom she also served. The food came promptly and was piping hot. The Sweet n Sour soup was delicious and had a very pleasant milt bite. Both the fried and steamed rice were served as a baseballs-sized ball and were easy to stop with chopsticks. My wife enjoyed her Shrimp with Lobster sauce and my moogoo Gi Pan was perfect. The chicken was so tender I could take a bite off a strip while holding the rest in the chopsticks. The Jasmine tea came hot and was delicious after it steeped a minute. . Our server checked on us a couple of times. My Fortune Cookie predicted my best wish as i am publishing my first Book "Gringo on the Rio". We will definitely be going back. 5 stars are just not enough! I feel like we struggle to find good chinese food in this area. This place was a little out of the way from where we were, but it had good reviews so we thought we would give it a shot. We did an order to go. We ordered about 30 minutes in advance and it was ready when we got there. Everything was really fresh and cooked perfectly. Our order consisted of Singapore noodles, tofu with garlic sauce, Mongolian beef, orange chicken and sweet and sour chicken. The Singapore Noodles were a group favorite. They have a curry flavor and a little kick. I'm not a tofu girl but the veggies and sauce in the tofu dish were really good. The Mongolian beef was tender and the onions were nicely grilled. The orange chicken was my second favorite. Even after a 30 minute drive home, it was still nice and crunchy with a thick coating of orange sauce. The chunks of chicken are quite large with all white meat chicken. If we are back in the area, we will definitely stop in here again! read more

The restaurant is average looking in terms of ambiance and employees are friendly and provide adequate service. Portions pretty big here. Voices are very reasonable. Orange Chicken Orange Chicken is one of the most popular dishes found in Chinese restaurants. It is not, however, a traditional Chinese recipe; it was invented and popularized by American-Chinese restaurants. This orange chicken recipe is sticky, spicy, and delicious. Lemon Chicken This chicken dish is a fan favorite with the Things. With simple flavor additions that don't overpower the dish, the natural flavor of the chicken is allowed to shine. The breaded lemon chicken was the best (yes, I said the best) lemon chicken in TX I have ever had. Immediately when you walk through the door, the servers are at attention. And this theme continues through the meal as they make sure you have everything you need. We ordered: Szechuan style eggplant - so yummy with the eggplant cooked perfectly, not too dense and uncooked, and not too mushy that everything falls apart. I loved how saucy it was too because you could mix the extra with your rice. And don't be afraid of the spicy symbol! It just has enough to add a little kick to your bite. China town stir fry - the sauce in this dish was also so good! The vegetables all tasted really fresh and the meat was all pretty substantial. Especially the shrimp, they were bigger than I thought they would be. Honey walnut shrimp - this dish was one of our servers' personal favorites! And you can tell the restaurant really cares about the quality of the dishes they present because they told us that something wasn't right with the first dish they made so they were gonna remake it. We weren't even in a rush or upset but for the extra time it took to come out, they ended up giving us another bowl of rice. A+ service!! And when the dish came out, it was awesome. The cafe is always very clean and the environment is very nice. The only suggestion I would give to the owners is to add more mushrooms to their Healthy Option Chicken dish. It's hard to find good Chinese cuisine in my general area but here at Lin's Cafe 2 the food was fresh and delicious! You can tell the quality is different and the food is cooked with care. Everything was nice and fresh. The dumpling and edamame as appetizers hit the spot. The dining area is cozy and small but nice and quiet. We y attended to right away and the server took their time to explain parts of the menu we had questions about. This was our first visit and it will be the first of many. The parking was sufficient for a dinner trip. They serve Coke products and iced tea. I would highly recommend Lin's! read more

My husband and I moved from Kyle last summer and Lin's was one of the first places we tried out here. Our first visit we were the only people in the whole restaurant. Last night the place was packed! And rightfully so! The food is ALWAYS hot and fresh and sooo flavorful. I wish you could see the steam in the attached photos. Andy and his wife are always so friendly and accommodating! No matter how busy it has gotten or if we go a couple weeks between visits, Andy always remembers my husbands order! Right down to any upgrades he gets.
