Another great visit. Food came out fast. Hot. Fresh. Still using good quality beef. Big plus.

Wife and I are always on the lookout for a good Chinese restaurant. This week we tried Hunan Lyon. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Very attractive interior well above the standard Chinese restaurant.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] We were promptly seated and given a menu. We selected the two of the lunch specials for $13 each. I ordered pepper steak while the wife ordered chicken with snow peas. Wife had the corn egg soup, which was delicious and very hot. I opted for the wonton soup which arrived cold. I asked them to exchange it for the corn egg soup which they did. The egg rolls were piping hot and delicious. My prepper steak was not as tender as other Chinese restaurants but good. Wife enjoyed her chicken with snow peas. We're still looking for a Chinese restaurant.

Very almost americanized style chinese restaurant. But even your asian parents will be impressed. The food was good and staff was great. The interior is very decorated all the way up to the ceiling. Warning: the menu is all in english

Tried this place based on a recommendation. Ambiance is great , loved the paintings and the decor(missed to take more pics) . Impressive service here. Marie was very friendly and always taking requests with a smile. Even though she was the only one serving the entire section, she was patient and ensuring by checking frequently if we needed anything . Food is great and portion sizes are huge. Szechuan meal was not at all spicy(unexpectedly), but all the items were delicious. Service time was quick for the appetizers but meal itself took more than 20 mins to arrive. As another review stated already , it's not fast food and it took its own sweet time to arrive - but felt really hot and fresh !

Hunan Lion is a nice, solid Chinese spot in Round Rock. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The food was good and the atmosphere had a cool, relaxed vibe.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Nothing mind-blowing, but definitely a reliable go-to when you're craving Chinese.

Even with a heat index of 108°, I still walked in for their hot, succulent bone broth ramen...that's how good it is. The "LIVE NOODS" neon sign above the open kitchen is a perfect touch, you can watch the team pulling fresh noodles and building bowls right in front of you. It gives the place that energetic, authentic feel while keeping everything clean and modern. Wooden counters, red accent lighting, QR code ordering, and those sturdy stools make it comfortable for a quick solo meal or hanging with friends/family. Shout-out to Ana -- she was the absolute guide to deliciousness! She took my order with a smile and gave spot-on recommendations that led me straight to the good stuff. Service like that makes all the difference. I went with the Texasy Tonk (deep 60hr+ tonkotsu broth loaded with smoked brisket, smoked jalapeños, takana mustard greens, ajitama egg, and thunder oil) rich, savory, perfectly balanced heat, great chew on the noodles, and melt-in-your-mouth brisket. For the side I grabbed the Hot Pocketz from the Summer Combo (crispy birria-style brisket pockets with Oaxaca/Monterey Jack blend and birria dip). They were straight fire...crunchy exterior, gooey cheesy interior, spicy kick, and that dipping sauce took them over the top. Pro tip: Pour the remaining au jus from the Hot Pocketz into your Texasy Tonk broth at the end, it takes the flavor to another level! Cold beer + sake chaser rounded it out perfectly. Pro tip for first-timers: If you're new here, stick to the OG classics on the menu (like the straight Tonkotsu or Miso) -- they're rock solid. Once you're hooked, branch out to the fun Texas twists. Fast counter service, generous portions, and solid value (especially with the Summer Combo). Whether you're coming from Austin or just passing through Round Rock, this spot is worth the stop.

There were water, bowls, utensils, and sauces in the lobby for anyone to grab, which was nice. We ordered their cucumber salad, beef noodle soup, and lamb noodle soup. Cucumber salad was 2/5. It wasn't the authentic smashed cucumber salad, the flavor was missing something, and I mean, for $7 or $8, you would think it would be amazing....it's not. Pretty disappointing, I'd much rather have my sister's over these. Beef noodle soup was meh. Nothing special. Broth was very simple, like they just added salt and that's it. Meat was cooked very well. My soup came with 1 piece of lettuce, weird.. Lamb noodle soup was the same as the beef noodle soup; it did come with the black fungus, seaweed, tofu, and some vermicelli clear noodles, along with their handmade noodles. Made sense why it was only $13.95 for the noodle soups. It's reasonably priced probably due to not being authentic, though, I wouldn't pay more than $10. They had handmade noodles, which many people do like. However, their noodles were very bland, along with their soup. I didn't find anything special here either.
