Tried out Fusion Hot Pot not for their hot pot, but for their à la carte menu. We weren't hi fry enough to try their hot pot buffet today, but maybe next time! Located at the corner of a strip mall, it was easy to find. There was also plenty of parking as it shares space with Sprouts. Walking in, we were quickly seated. All the plating was already set, and they have really pretty personal-sized hot pots. Their à la carte menu was larger than expected, offering comfort food suggest as xiao long bao (soup dumplings) and noodle soups. We ordered a beef noodle medium spicy and a beef noodle soup with no spiciness added. We also ordered the soup dumplings to give them a try. The place is a bit small but it is great for small groups, like 2-4 people. They have their hot pots selections along the far wall and a sauce station. Our food came out after roughly 10 minutes with beautiful presentation. Both noodle soups were delicious, though the medium spicy turned out to be spicier than expected and I personally thought the broth was too rich. The soup dumplings unfortunately weren't soupy at all. They were more like fish balls with dumpling wrapper. They were dry and a bit tough to eat. The sauce that came with it could have used some crushed garlic for added taste. Overall, not bad, though next time we'll try their hot pot to see if we'll have a different experience. read more

What a beautiful and bright space for a lunch date with husband today with our winter freeze of a storm rolling in! We were absolutely blown away with the warm welcome, the AYCE offerings and variety of sauces, and meat selection for a good meal of protein options. And at $20 lunch pricing for an AYCE protein healthy meal, it's a great deal! Veggies in the fridge area were fresh and cleanly maintained, I absolutely kept piling up taro and corn, and shrimp and fish balls and there was no stopping me :) The store manager continued to ask if we wanted to get more meat, which was beef, lamb and pork belly during lunch pricing and I didn't want to food coma myself but absolutely loved the individual portion of the broth we got. Husband got the tomato broth and I went with spicy, both were great options, and we also had the option of original and/or mushroom. Parking is abundant in CP as it's in the corner where Sprouts is located. We really enjoyed this meal and can't wait to come back as everything was well maintained and the staff were on top of their service and attentive in all things! read more

Another great hot pot spot in Austin! I came around 7PM on a Saturday and was surprised to see it was really empty, but it was truly such a great experience! The owner/manager took such great care of my friend and me, and the experience was wonderful. The establishment is really clean and bright, and I love that everyone gets their own individual hot pots. For $30 AYCE, I thought it was a really great deal. They have so many seafood and veggie options, and the ingredients are really clean and fresh. Their meat quality is also really great, and I love that their spicy hot pot broth is made from in-house made chili oil and paste. Please come support them! This place is pretty solid. First, the hand made meatballs are great. Inside, the place is nice and clean. The owner is constantly making sure everything always stays clean. I will say, if you have 4 Adults at a table of 4, expect to be very cramped. I think tables need to be longer and wider. We had to adults and 2 smaller kids and found it pretty cramped. The food itself is really what you'd expect from hotpot and on par with most of the other place. The normal broth according to my kids is a bit bland. So great! A nice new place in Cedar Park for some good hot pot. They had an all you can eat $19.99 lunch happy hour which was a great deal. The staff was so incredibly friendly. Highly recommend asking the male staff member to make his special sauce for dipping your meat in. read more

I tried their Ala carte menu for takeaway. Had Fried rice/beef and beef scallion steamed dumplings. Never really had anything like that before in my life, quite a bit odd. Maybe I just stumbled on to some niche asian street food variety I'm not familiar with or bad execution. I tried to like it, really did. But no. BTW, I've traveled through Asia and eaten a lot, and been doing dim sum for 50 years. This was a first. Being generous with a 2. I have experienced hot pot many times and was excited to see this new restaurant hit our area. Since they are new, I have a few suggestions to help tweak the experience. The table settings are very nice and are the first thing you notice when entering. There's a half wall in your entry which needs to have menus on it along with instructions to please take a seat. The refrigerated case needs to be replaced with a stand up model. The vegetable items should be placed on small plates and Saran wrapped as single servings. The problem with the current set up is unsanitary. The door handles are constantly touched by everyone. People lean into the fridge to grab produce and their faces hover right over the food. Food falls on the food every time someone opens the case and the waiter is forever cleaning the floor. The noodles and vegetables did not get restocked while I was there. This leaves an impression that it is not all you can eat. Please don't play the same 3 songs in a loop. Wait staff was great and the food that I ate was good. I will return in a month to experience again. read more
