Their food here was okay. We just ordered 2 dishes with white rice. The sea food one was an okay one. The sauce it came with was just a standard garlic stir fry. The egg plant fish has a really good slightly spicy sauce. It would have been better if it was mixed in with some ground meat like moist other places. In my personal preference it was just a tad undercooked where the texture was more firm and less soft on how i like my heated egg plants. There was a weird old building smell in there which was not the most pleasant. But the staff was really great and i would like to come back and try the noodles.

We got takeout and it was so good we had to go back immediately to try more dishes. The pad Thai had a really good spice level. The chicken was good quality. The sauces were flavorful without being cloyingly sweet. Portions are decent and the prices are fantastic. I will be making this my go to Chinese/Thai takeout spot whenever I'm in the mood.

A nice little Chinese restaurant in the HEB strip mall on Wells Branch Parkway in Pflugerville. Very clean and bright. Arrived for lunch with the wife and was promptly greeted and seated. We ordered off the lunch menu. I opted for cashew chicken and the wife ordered sesame chicken. The orders did not arrive at the same time which is a pet piece if mine but not unusual in a Chinese restaurant. Served with egg drop soup. The sesame chicken was not what we expected- no vegetables, just balls of white meat sprinkled with sesame seeds. My cashew chicken was what I expected. The food was good. Still looking for a great Chinese restaurant in the Round Rock area.

Been meaning to check out the neighborhood Chinese spot. They recently updated/extended their hours til 9:30p. Very clean and quiet ambiance space. The manager, I think, was super friendly and helped us out when we were ordering takeout. It was kind of a slow night on Mon, so I hope their business picks up in the evening a little more. He said they recently extended their hours, so I wonder if folks are still getting used to it. We ordered about 3 entrees because we wanted to try everything - crab rangoon, spicy beef noodle, Singaporean noodles and orange chicken. Generous portions! The manager did mention the noodles are new to their menu and the spicy beef noodle didn't disappoint. Very homey soup and tender beef. The chicken in the orange chicken were nice large chunks. Very good price point for the portions. Gotta head back to try other dishes

This place is new and seems to be pretty popular! I see why. I've tried several dishes from them and each one was delicious! The prices are amazing too, I haven't seen anything over $15! Lunch specials start out at 8 bucks! The salt and pepper wings are a hit!! Wow they really nailed it, I dream about those wings lol! They've got a huge menu of traditional and chefs special dishes so there's something for everyone here! The serving sizes are plentiful too. Give em a try, you won't be disappointed!

Recently was in the mood for some classic chinese takeout and came across this new place on yelp! They only just opened recently so we wanted to check it out! Not gonna lie we were hesitant at first because we used to live about a block from here and most of the food we had in the area was less than impressive but the reviews looked promising! I am SO glad we took the chance. JJs was clean and very tastefully decorated, with a warm and inviting atmosphere. There was only one other party dining in when we came in and both our food and theirs came out very quickly! The food was soooo fresh and light it was unbelievable. My boyfriend just kept saying how fresh everything was and how pleasantly surprised he was. We both had water with lemon to drink and started out with some appetizers. We never get chinese without crab rangoons ($5.25), so of course we had to get an order of those! The rangoons were perfectly light and crisp and the filling was so smooth and a tad sweet, amazing! We also had the pot stickers ($6.95), you can choose fried or steamed and we opted for fried. These were nicely cooked and enjoyable, however, the sauce (i think it was ponzu) is a key part of the flavor so without that some might feel they're a bit bland. For our Entrees Kalif originally asked for the chicken Pad Thai and add shrimp but the server suggested he do the shrimp pad thai ($12.95) and add chicken (+$1.00) so he gets a better amount of shrimp. The pad thai was delicious! So flavorful and again somehow left us feeling so light despite bing a pasta dish. The veggies were well cooked and very flavorful. The shrimp seemed to be lightly breaded but it was very light, just helping it to hold onto some of that sauce and flavor a bit better. The pad thai could have EASILY fed 2-3 people. Kalif packed up a sizeable amount that he later ate for dinner and shared with me as well. For the price it couldn't be beat! I am a basic b*tch so I ordered the general tsos lunch plate ($9.75) with fried rice and the egg roll, though you can choose white rice and egg drop soup or sweet and sour soup for the same price i believe. The breading on the chicken was again very light and while there were only 5-6 peices of chicken on the plate they were massive, I ate only 2 before packing up for later. The flavor was really enjoyable, though it didnt seem like the usual general tsos flavor to me, but I would still recommend and order it again! Overall, we had 2 meals and 2 appetizers for $39.62 before tip and both ended up with enough left for a second meal! If you are in the wells branch area definitely check out JJ's Wok!!

I was craving Chinese fast food and searched for places near me. I'm glad I had JJ's Wok bookmarked for such occasion. I came in around 6 pm and there was one customer sitting in a booth. I walked up to the counter and ordered my food for dine-in. I ordered the crab rangoons, sesame chicken, and hot and sour soup. After ordering, I sat down at a booth and waited for my food to arrive. The restaurant manager came out with my food in a timely manner. I started in on the crab rangoons. It was crispy, not too sweet, and full of the cream cheese crab mixture. Then I had a sip of the hot and sour soup. It was decent, but I probably wouldn't order it again though. Last, I tried the sesame chicken. It was a pretty good sized portion. They lightly battered the chicken, but it remained crispy even with being drenched in sauce. The sauce, however, was a little salty for my taste. Would I come back? Sure, if I'm in the area and don't feel like driving into Austin for my Chinese food fix.

Pepper Steak sub peppers for broccoli

Noticed this place had great reviews, had to check it out ourselves. Starters were the salt and pepper wings with chili oil on the side, messy but tasty! Also a cup of egg drop soup that was good too, just missed the fried crisps and green onion to top off. Dinner was the pepper steak with fried rice (subbed peppers for broccoli), combination lo mein (subbed lo mein for Singapore rice noodles) and Lemon Chicken. Everything was amazingly delicious! Our server Loberto answered our questions and worked with the kitchen staff to accommodate our substitutions and requests! The ambiance and astehtic is cool, calm, welcoming and inviting. The color tones of the restaurant is definitely my type of vibe!

I've tried their food a few times via takeout, so I can't speak to the in-person service, but everything has been great so far. They definitely use better-quality ingredients compared to standard Chinese restaurants. I've been sticking to the lunch specials--the Kung Pao Chicken was excellent, and the China Town Stir Fry was also quite good. I did add some hot oil to both dishes to amp up the spice, which worked well for me. The Hot and Sour Soup and Egg Drop Soup were spot on too. I'll definitely continue exploring the rest of the menu.

This Asian smokehouse definitely lives up to the hype. Since we had more adventures planned for the evening, we decided to keep dinner on the lighter side. Loro's menu combines Asian-inspired and Texas smokehouse flavors, creating a unique and delicious dining experience. The atmosphere is casual and inviting. We placed our order at the counter, and somehow the staff magically delivers everything to the correct table...without numbers, flags, or those little buzzing gadgets. I'm still trying to figure out their secret. We especially enjoyed the open seating, modern décor, and communal dining concept. The indoor-outdoor layout is especially appealing during Austin's cooler months. For dinner, we ordered the wings, Brussels sprouts, and salmon bowls. My friend happily claimed most of the wings, as they were a little crispier than I prefer. The Brussels sprouts, however, were excellent...crispy, crunchy, and finished with just the right touch of sweetness. The true highlight were the salmon bowls. The salmon was perfectly charred and packed with flavor, while the coconut rice added a rich, slightly sweet complement that tied the dish together seamlessly. Loro delivered a fun, flavorful dining experience and proved to be an excellent choice for a birthday celebration.

Credit to the restaurant as we only found one available table. We ordered a smash burger and the smoked salmon bowl. We weren't a fan of the herbs but I'll attribute that to personal preference. The smash burger was good, however, I feel the burger was not worth the price. The burger did not include a side and while good, I felt was more expensive than what it was worth which is what lowers my score. Overall, it felt like fast food with ambiance at sit down restaurant prices.

Somehow, against all odds, Ramen Del Barrio still exceeds its reputation. There's only one vegan ramen option but it's all you need, both in terms of portion size and flavor. Simple toppings of fried tortilla strips, avocado, charred jalapeno, and caramelized onions adorn the top. Before this moment, I thought I just wasn't a fan of mole. It turns out, I had never tried great mole before. This stuff dazzles with layered spices, melded so well that I can't pick a single one out from the pack. Unfortunately, the owner wasn't very helpful and couldn't give any indication of how many bread was being sold or whether it was likely to sell out.I ended up driving about 30 minutes from Central Austin, only to find that the salted bread from the pop-up was already sold out. That was really disappointing. When I went inside the store to buy some regular items instead, the interaction with the owner was also frustrating. He seemed to misunderstand what I was asking and kept directing me to stand in the pop-up line, even though I explained multiple times that I just wanted to purchase items from the store, which didn't require waiting in that line. In the end, I bought a few small items, but three small items came out to about $20, which felt overpriced for what I received. The overall service experience was not pleasant. The owner came across as rude and unwelcoming, and it didn't feel like customers who made the effort to come support the business were being valued. I understand this is a small, local mom-and-pop shop, and I usually love supporting small businesses. However, customer service still matters--especially when people travel a long distance to visit. Because of this experience, I probably won't be returning unless it's for a pop-up event.

Needing a fresh start to Chinese New Year we turned to Ho Ho to lift our spirits. Located right off…read moreof I-35, Ho Ho is tucked away into a shopping center but should really be more accessible because this place makes some good Cantonese style Chinese food. We ordered for pickup and they had the food ready fast and pickup itself was a breeze. The price felt very fair for the amount of food that we got, which is nice to see as many Chinese places now seem to be getting much pricier. After a short drive back we were very excited to dig in. Here's what we got for our New Year feast: Steamed pork dumplings - some big dumplings, packed with filling and not too bad on flavor Salt and pepper pork chop - very good. Salty flavor and good spice from the peppers Singaporean noodles w/ chicken - phenomenal, deep flavor and texture. Best dish out of all Beef chow fun - wet style chow fun is very good, beef was perfectly tender and flavorful Plain lo mein - simple but tasty, executed perfectly with good noodle texture Ho Ho excels at Cantonese style food, maybe better than any other place in Austin. This trip knocked us out of the park and we can't wait for our next excuse to come here. They do offer dine in as well and have a pretty large inside area so maybe we'll sit down formally next time. Either way, convenient, good value and good food as well makes this a standout choice for Chinese food in the North Austin area.

The establishment outside is run down but we were surprise to see the inside booths/tables were nicer than the outside. There are live tanks of seafood when you walk in. You need to wait to be seated. Service was good and food came pretty fast. We ordered the general tso chicken lunch special which comes with hot and sour soup. Lunch special is from 11am-3pm Monday-Friday. The general tso chicken is salty and was not well balance. The chicken was dry. It was lightly battered and fried. The sauce was one note. The stir fried flat noodles N12 combination was under seasoned and needed more soy sauce. The squid was not seasoned at all. The shrimp was imported shrimp and was not good. There were still poop lines in the shrimp. You didn't get any smokiness from the soy sauce at all. Do I recommend this place? This place was a staple in atx but with my Overall experience with the food quality I cannot recommend this place. We have had the roasted pork before and it was ok. Not the best we ever had but meh. Where we were seated we can hear the cooks yelling at each other in the kitchen. There are other restaurants in Austin that are way better.
