    The seasonal Crawmen!
    Dustin C.

We went back to our OG Tatsu-Ya spot for dinner last night and it was perfect. Every time it's perfect. I was lucky to have snagged The Crawmen seasonal special and a Main root soda. The location has a new table layout inside that works really well for 2 people or 10. And all the staff is always friendly and attentive. If you want the closest thing you can get to Japan this is your only place to get it.

I've been to Ramem Tatsu-ya before but this was my first time at this location. I came specifically to try out the Crawmen- their seasonal crawfish boil inspired ramen. This is a seasonal item but it really should be a regular on the menu because it's SO flavorful and tasty. It goes away at the end of may I believe, so I will definitely be back before then to get in another bowl of this ramen.

Ramen is great here. I get the Old School with extra goma spicy pork. The drinks are all great. We come here often and always love the entrees. We also get a regular edamame and a spicy edamame ! The seating is sometimes crowded and they have family style table so you meet new people! It's a little pricey for ramen but the night out experience is worth it! The crew that works here are always smiling and helpful.

I decided to come here because it was highly rated in Google, but it was little disappointing maybe so because my expectation was high. I've been to a lot of ramen places including many places in Japan, so that could be a reason to account for. The service was prompt, and there are plenty of seatings, but the ramen was just so so. It is tasty, but it does not have that type of authentic ramen taste that Japan ramens are known for. In a sense, it is little similar to Jinya or other places, but the vibe somehow does not make up for it.

Love this place! Delish veggie ramen and highly recommend adding the Brussels sprouts. Recently renovated the seating so it is all family style.

THE BEST RAMEN IN TEXAS!!!!! Prove me wrong. In the best way possible, this has the pre-pandemic cool laid back alright alright alright. Vibe... it hasn't changed as of today. 60hr Broth? What? ..not the 2 microwave minutes! This collagen rich bone broth is adorned with the most amazing noodles! God bless Japan...these are some smuggled in, made by child labor, strips of delicious goodness! The BEST CHASU!!!! For you newbies, that means pork belly. They roll the slab and tie it up. Cook it, and then sear it before serving. It adorns your Ramen like a crown! It will tear apart and melt in your mouth. This has been the determining factor for many comparisons. They set the BAR. I tried a "new to me" Saki...at a recommendation. Holy 8 lb baby Jesus! It was cloudy and cold and I didn't want it to end. I wish I remembered the name, but it was absolutely delicious! Leslye, thank you for being the highlight to the experience. Your attentiveness and smile was the icing on the cake, the ginger to the soy sauce!

I came here after seeing all of the reviews for the Crawmen. They did not disappoint!! The bowl was huge and very filling, I couldn't finish it all in one sitting. The name is escaping me, but I also ordered one of the specialty drinks. It was so refreshing and complimentary to the spice of the Crawmen. I am definitely going to hate to see this bowl leave, because it was very tasty. We did do another OG / build your own type and it was very tasty as well. We also had the gyoza which were so good, my bf finished them before getting a photo The place was quiet just after lunch time, and very clean. The shopping center looked full, but the place was not as busy. I would return, and can't wait to try more options.

Don't know why I was craving ramen in this heat but glad I came! Located in this Asian food plaza on research it was easy to find with their big signage. Looked very traditional Japanese inside with both private booths and shared tables. You walk up to order and there's a different variety of ramen with add-ons, sides, and drinks. I opted for the OG ramen with the tonkotsu broth and extra chashu pork. It was served very quickly within 5 minutes and I was ready to dig in! The broth was so full of umami that kept me from anting to finish every last drop. The pork was so tender it fell apart in the bowl and the ramen was perfectly cooked and the egg paired so well with the fattiness of the broth. Everything was around $20 so definitely affordable. Would definitely come back to try their other dishes and ramen varieties!

Stopped by here with some coworkers while in Austin for a quick work trip after having been told by a few people to try it out. So glad that we did! Staff was super friendly and answered some questions for us as we were deciding what to order. I ended up with the Mi-So-Hot with a Fire Chili Bomb. Everything came out super fast and piping hot. I will say I was expecting a bit more heat from the chili bomb but it was still a great add. The ramen itself was excellent and the broth seemed to get better as I got closer to finishing the bowl. Didn't leave a drop when I was done! Will definitely be back on our next trip to Austin!

Miso ramen was alright, was good, decent amount of spicy with a rich thick broth. Lemongrass lemonade in my opinion needed more lemon grass, tasted like regular lemonade Service was quick, water is self served, and cashier was amazing at quickly taking orders The restaurant was self seated with lots of spaces both bar and booth. I would come back as food was good and service was quick.

Ramen is a highly consumed food in our household so we were excited to visit Ramen Tatsuya, which is a favorite among us. When arriving to a large line, Ramen Tatsuya kept us moving quickly and the staff was friendly. The food arrived just as efficiently as the staff worked and we were greeted by a warm, rich OG and an aromatic and savory Curry Nu Skool. The OG, as per usual, was delicious and warms you to the core. The broth is just the right amount of salty and thick. The noodles are firm enough to feel plentiful but don't feel soggy. The Curry Nu Skool was good as well, my only qualm being it didn't have a strong curry flavor that I was hoping for but the rest of the dish was flavorful and balanced. With a busy yet relaxed atmosphere, Ramen Tatsuya is a strong ramen choice for those looking for a relaxing date night while leaving as full as you hoped when you enter.

The original tsukemen recipe is back!! It's delicious - the sauce is now thicker and more flavorful. And the noodles are perfectly firm and chewy! So happy they brought it back.

Does any know where to get access to their calories per item on their menu?

It's going to be around 450-550 calories depending on the bowl. I'd be more worried about the 100 grams of carbs personally! Either way, it's delicious! This place will always have a loyal customer on my end. MISO HOT is the order, add a fire bomb.… Read more

Is ramen tatsuya reservation only now or do y'all still do walkins?

When making reservations through resy, what's the difference between dining room 1 and 2?

Is it open today on Labor's day? Please could you also tell me the timings?

    Yes we are!

    Are they dog friendly?

It's a small indoor ramen shop so I don't think they would allow dog inside.

Are there lower salt options? more flavor less salt

You can try the tsukemen (dipping ramen). It's one of my faves. You can dip as much or as little sauce as you want and the dipping sauce is super flavorful.

Are any of the ramens msg free?

Not to my knowledge; most of the ramen has some form of seaweed/kombu in it and that's naturally occurring MSG.

Food came out in a reasonable amount of time. #5 Tsukemen/Dipping Broth ($16.50): The dipping broth wasn't umami enough to hold up as a true dipping broth, so we ended up pouring it over our noodles and eating it like a regular ramen bowl. The flavors were really good and better than the MI-SO-HOT. The only complaint about the broth was that it wasn't warm or hot. The noodles were bouncy and thick like udon, which I loved. They only gave one slice of chashu, which was disappointing, so I'm glad we added the extra Goma Pork/Sesame Seasoned Ground Pork ($2.50) and Naruto Maki ($1.50). Chashu Rice Bowl ($8.50): Good, but not as flavorful or melt-in-your-mouth as last time. #4 MI-SO-HOT (Tonkotsu) ($16): My cousin got this and it was actually bulked out with veggies. It was good, but the flavors weren't anything standout. Not super spicy either, so the heat is very tolerable.

Somehow, against all odds, Ramen Del Barrio still exceeds its reputation. There's only one vegan ramen option but it's all you need, both in terms of portion size and flavor. I've never had anything quite like the mole tsukemen, a Tex-Mex mashup pairing rich mole broth served separately from handmade noodles so thick, you might mistake them for udon at a glance. Simple toppings of fried tortilla strips, avocado, charred jalapeno, and caramelized onions adorn the top. Before this moment, I thought I just wasn't a fan of mole. It turns out, I had never tried great mole before. This stuff dazzles with layered spices, melded so well that I can't pick a single one out from the pack. We got one Austin roll ($22), volcano roll ($15), creamy spicy tan tan ramen ($20), teriyaki sesame tofu yakisoba ($20). I have had their sushi and yakisoba but tried their ramen for first time. I was impressed with their packaging. As you can see in picture, veggies and noodles box was on top and soup at bottom. The only thing I didn't like how noodles became very sticky because of how tight they were packed. So I got it as cold (because I live 30 mins away) and sticky. Ramen came with all the veggies like grilled Chinese broccoli, tofu, sweet corn, marinated shiitake mushrooms, red onions and negi. Yakisoba noodles had the Stir-fried noodles tossed with cabbage, scallion, carrot, marinated shiitake mushrooms, and fragrant negi in a savory house sauce. It was good if you like this type of noodles. Austin roll had Smoked tempeh, tempura tofu, jalapeño, pickles. And on the to Avocado, roasted garlic oil, tempura flakes, smoked paprika, teriyaki. Volcano roll was a deep fried roll which had spinach, avocado, sweet potato. On top: spicy mayo, sweet soy sauce, chili sauce, Caviart and tempura onion.
