    Chicken karaage

I haven't been into Ramen512 in awhile since it's a little far out for me. But I love the comfort of warm ramen noodles on a cool, cloudy day. We got here around 1pm and they had a bit of a wait. Not too bad though. You'd sign into the tablet at the door and hang out front, unfortunately no waiting area inside due to space constraints. But they turn the tables quickly. If you're solo, they have counter top seating. Such delicious ramen and the char on the chashu is amazing. I'm drooling thinking about the chashu now. The karaage chicken is a nice shareable for the table and is a great addition to your meal.

I absolutely love that they do weekly specials. My favorite type of Ramen is tsukemen and their noodles are the best. They have such a good bouncy texture. I also really like their karaage. I like that they use big pieces of chicken. Other restaurants will make theirs too small and they get dry, but the ones here are really nice and juicy. Follow their Instagram to see the specials.

Came here with a friend for the first time and we both loved what we ordered! I got the spicy tonkatsu and the broth was excellent. Only complaint was that the pork was super fatty but I still enjoyed it. Service was decent and the inside of the restaurant was very cute!

Ok I want to emphasize this review is coming from a vegetarian! So take what I say with the grain of salt. I am so appreciative of a ramen spot having a vegetarian choice for all us vegetarian people. I went with my husband and a friend on a Friday evening at around 6 PM. There was a slight wait and they have an iPad in front that you can add yourself to a waitlist. I didn't see an option to add ourselves on wait list prior to arrival. The service was great - they were constantly checking people in even with the waitlist and trying to clear tables out to keep the list moving. We probably waited around 15 minutes for a table. So really 5 stars on the service they were constantly checking in on us and refilling our waters. I got the vegan tan tan and though the noodles were great, I found the broth to be salty and not overly flavorful. The description said it would have chili oil and I didn't taste that at all. It really needed some acid or something to brighten the soup as I found the broth to be just one salty note. My husband had the classic tonkotsu and also thought it was just ok. Space is clean and slightly small. They do have alike a small bar in the back if you're coming to eat individually very similar to how they do it in Japan. If you're a big group of 6 or more know likely there will be a wait. Parking wise is easy and free as it shares the parking lot with Randall's and is located in a strip mall.

THE BIG: Located in Cedar Park in the Lakeline Village shopping center. Right next to the Randall's grocery store. Quaint interior and plenty of parking spaces in the lot. THE BLACK AND WHITE: The wife and I came here on a Sunday at noon and it was decently packed. We put our names on the waiting list and got immediately seated. For food, we got the Tori tan tan and classic tonkotsu. The ordering was interesting because you use a QR code to order but at the end you pay via card instead of the app. The tori tan tan was very creamy and rich with a nice slab of chasu. The meat was very smoked, so i assume they did a quick char on one side to get that smokiness. The wife's tonkotsu was a very clean bowl of ramen. THE FINAL BAMBOO: Overall for two ramens, we spent around $40, crazy how ramen is now $20 a bowl. Flavorful and definitely worth a visit to try the ramens.

AMAZING! Delicious ramen - our new favorite ramen in town! My husband tried the black garlic tonkotsu and I tried the Tori tan tan We also tried the chicken karaage - best we've tried lately!! Served w a side of mayo I believe - all so freaking good!! We loved everything! Ramen was incredible - very flavorful without being too heavy!! Plenty of parking since it's inside a shopping center and a good amount of indoor seating. Super cute decor inside and clean restrooms Order at QR code at table / super simple and easy for service! Food came out in great time!

We didn't have the best experience last time we were here which was when they first opened (4 years ago), but after some time we decided to give it another chance. We're glad we did. The experience was much better on the food as well as the service. We asked for recommendations and were given the three Ramens which we ordered. The classic tonkatsu broth has a lot of flavor and depth without being too oily. The pork was tender and nicely charred. Egg was cooked to perfection and I like the thin noodles which has good texture. We also enjoyed the Black Tonkatsu. Not very garlicky but did add mince fragrance to the dish. I thoroughly enjoyed the Mazesoba as well. It's a nice alternative if you like what's in a ramen but don't like too much broth. This dish has a dick to it; given they add the pepper flake as a topping, I'm sure you can ask the to adjust the spice to your liking. The chicken karage was incredible. Great flavor and chicken pieces are moist. I was there was one or two more pieces in each order. Overall, I'm glad we gave them another try. We will sure come back next time the weather calla for it or when we the cravings for ramen again.

Came on a Sunday afternoon around lunch time. The restaurant is small, so you may need to add your name to a waiting list when you arrive. Fortunately, my husband and I were seated immediately. Its a self-service concept, so you order through a QR code and grab your own utensils. Ramen comes out pretty quick. I got the classic tonkatsu and thought the broth was very clean and traditional. The pork is SO delicious, and everything blended well. Overall, nothing too out of this world, but a good classic ramen.

If you like ramen, this place is a must try. Been to Japan multiple times and imo, it's preeettyyyy comparable. So glad we chose this place over the bigger chain ones cause those are very hit or miss. I honestly wasn't that hungry coming here but I killed my ramen, it was that good. Broth was perfect and noodle is exactly just how I like it. I don't care much about the meat because I'm really more of a soup person but it was delicious too. It didn't taste tooooo porky if you know what I mean. Hands down, give this place a try! Just a very authentic ramen place. Service was good too, food came out timely.

Spicy Tonkotsu and weekly special (Niboshi Tsukemen)
    Kara M.

If you can't tell by my collection of photos, I am a die hard fan of their tsukemen specials! Whenever they offer them, I typically make a trip out to get some because it's just that good (and you can't find it anywhere else). I always order extra noodles because it's so good I could eat it forever! By far my favorite ramen spot in all of the Austin area. Service is very casual, interior is small but mighty, food is phenomenal. They typically offer off-menu weekly specials that change every week, along with the regular menu. QUICK FACTS: - Parking? Yes, located in a large shopping center with plenty of parking. - Reservations? No, walk-in only unless they host a specific "ticketed" event where you reserve your spot in advance.

Love this quaint and quiet nook of a spot for my ramen slurps. This is a 5 min drive from my house and I'm absolutely smitten always with the consistency of a good bowl of ramen from Ramn512. There is usually a little wait since seating is tight here and if you come during peak hours but they are good to call you and notify you when your table is ready. The area is pretty spacious in terms of abundance in parking and walking through Randall's or finding something to mosey around. I love their tonkatsu and seasonal tsukemen. Ordering via QR code, play and they bring to your table is always an appreciated concept for me though i can understand if some don't like this and are a bit more old school. Lots of love to Ramen512, and i look forward to many more visits!

Come here for unadulterated traditional Japanese ramen. If you like traditional Japanese ramen come here for all the flavor notes that will remind you of Japan. This place keeps it simple and authentic. We ordered shoyu ramen and black garlic tonkotsu ramen for an extra kick! But they also have regular tonkotsu as well. Service is via QR code for menu, ordering and paying. The interior is decorated with neat Japanese art and photos. Missing a photo Tommy Lee Jones!

This ramen was fantastic! I've heard a lot about it on social media, and I loved how it wasn't crowded at all when I came on a Saturday evening. The service was great, and the food came out very quickly. The decor was really cute. I got the classic tonkotsu, while my friend got the black tonkotsu. We really enjoyed our ramen. The broth and noodles were both amazing. It's really important to me that ramen is not overly salty and leaves me dehydrated. This was perfect as I felt absolutely no feeling of a sodium overload. The portion size was large and left us both feeling comfortably full. Excuse the weird picture. My face did not look good in it. I liked the ramen so much that I only got a picture WITH the ramen, and not one of just the ramen. It is very rare of me to forget to take a photo, so I guess it shows how special this place is.

It looked like they expanded their menu since the last time we ate here. We opted for a Shoyu Beef Ramen Soup and a Hot Pot Beef Noodle Soup. We chose a location away from the front entrance, which faces west towards the sun. Our food was quickly brought out to us less than 5 minutes later, and our soups were very good. They have a very spicy broth for their Hot Pot Noodle Soup, which P2 really enjoyed. I was also happy with my shoyu ramen, which I thought was seasoned perfectly. The music here wasn't loud and it was easy to carry a conversation. The interior aesthetics of this place reminded me of a Japanese restaurant, despite this restaurant servicing Taiwanese fare. Unfortunately, they don't sell alcohol here. I would have loved to drink a beer here with its solid vibes. I took off a star because of the blinding sunlight that pours into the space. Each time we came, we had to be strategic on where we sat so that we or our friends didn't have to face the sun. But other than that, Noodly Alley continues to be a reliable choice for authentic Taiwanese food.

For roughly $60 the wife was full and we had roughly 6 dishes and one cocktail (I was still slightly hungry). Think of it as more of a tapas style ordering. Soft shelled crab - My absolute favorite and by far the best dish! Crispy from the breading, soft shell and subtle crab taste, and to top it off the fried egg adds some creaminess from the yolk. Not greasy at all due to the way it's fried. And who doesn't like a little microgreen to add some freshness to it?! It could likely use a little more salt, and this particular time the yolk was a overcooked. Sushi Tacos - 2nd favorite! You get two, and frankly I prefer not sharing these (although my wife forced me to). It's such a unique dish. Each taco is palm sized. They take a yummy piece of laver (seaweed), coat one side and deep fry it to make a nice hard shell taco casing. Then they fill it with sushi rice, top it with plentiful tuna, add a slice of avocado, and top it with micro greens. Refreshing, light (once you squeeze the tiny lime on top), slightly filling due to the rice, and absolutely delicious. Takoyaki - I'm not a fan, but the wife is. For me it's a texture thing. Even when visiting Japan I didn't enjoy this dish. Honestly though I do think it deserves far more bonito flakes, as the dish is meant to look alive from the waving flakes. Honestly we love this place so much, I always get engrossed in the food so much I forget to take pics. The overall ambience is chill and refined, albeit no white tableclothes, but it acts like it should have them. Skip smelling like a campfire and get A4 at Narrow Street. The beef brisket comes with rice served in a metal bowl. You get 3 or four small plastic containers of banchan the rotates seasonally. There is a variety of different kimchi, fish cake, corn slaw, potato salad and more. Once in a while I like to switch it up and I order the Cold Noodles (F1) or squid and pork stir fry (A4).
