Went here for a Sunday lunch and it's a pretty unassuming restaurant. Tucked inside the Arboretum area, this place sells both sushi and some Korean food. I got the spicy pork Bento box and it wasn't too bad. It's what I expected for spicy pork. Maybe it could it be a little spicier. You get a lot of food with the bento and the sushi rolls looked good too!

Such a wonderful find near the Arboretum! The location is great for sunset views, and the vibe is very peaceful and cozy. The udon noodles were perfectly chewy, and the poke was seasoned so well. It's a clean, super friendly, and comfortable spot for a meal. I'll be back soon to try the Pork Bulgogi Bowl

Hidden behind Five Guys in the back is where you'll find Hanara. Food: pretty good for a small take out spot. We enjoyed the tonkatsu bento box and hallelujah roll Service: friendly and helpful. It's a nice family owned place Ambiance: small but cozy. Seating upstairs and downstairs.

Found it tucked away in the arboretum shopping area. We ordered the Kpop and Hanara roll with miso soup. Excellent flavor and fresh. Quick and friendly service. Free water available. Small but cute little place for 1-2 at a table downstairs. Not sure about upstairs. Would come back for sure. Highly recommend!

Great sushi spot! The size of the sushi was beyond what I was first thinking of. We ate at the upstairs section at this sushi restaurant. Quite small, which didn't bother us at all. Had a very hidden spot vibe which we loved when it involved delicious sized portions. Everything was very well presented, including the restaurant people and sushi chef.

Such a cute little spot! While walking around the Arboretum, I stumbled upon Hanara and decided to give it a try. Our order came out quickly, and as a huge bulgogi fan, I had to try the bulgogi bento. Safe to say, it's now one of my favorite bulgogi spots in Austin! Since I live nearby, this will definitely be a nice treat every now and then.

Salmon bento Comes with tempura, sushi, salmon, rice, salad The salmon is a bit dry but overall the box is good. I think this is a good value meal when you're near the Arboretum area! They have seating downstairs and upstairs but water cups are only available downstairs so make sure to get those before going up. Utensils are available upstairs.

I always have a great experience at Hanara, the staff is always so friendly and loves to catch up when I come in. I usually get the salmon tempura role, I think it's delicious and the presentation is always so fabulous. Will always be one of my favorite little spots !

The intimate, speakeasy setting is such a vibe! Hidden behind a bookcase tucked away in Holey Moley, Chef Saine and his small team bring you an incredible 14-course experience with top-tier ingredients sourced directly from local farmers in Japan. With only 6 seats per session, this is a cozy experience and one I definitely could not recommend more. QUICK FACTS: - Parking? Yes, located in East Austin, there is plenty of street parking. - Reservations can be tricky to land, but you can grab weeknight ones if you're flexible. - Pricing is about $170/person, with the option to add on drinks and extra bites (3 extra for $45/person). Tax and tip not included. My favorite bites were the maguro blue fin (an incredible start to the night!), the buttery Kanpachi amberjack, and the Wagyu ribeye with salted egg yolk (steak and eggs). Everything is stellar, and the Belgium chocolate ice cream finish with a little serenading from Chef is a great way to wrap up the experience. Service is top notch!

Both of the sandos were perfect. The wagyu beef sando had a little bit more flavor but it was slight and both are worth trying. The service was stellar and they were easy to book on OpenTable I also tried the green tea mocktail and found it to be light and refreshing and I was happy that it wasn't super sweet My two favorite items were: 1. The Edamame - which were charred in a way that I feel like I've never experienced it before and had such great flavor. 2. The scallop roll had a thinly sliced shaved truffle on top that made the roll simple yet out of this world. Shout out to the manager who came by just to check in. There is nothing quite like being on vacation, ordering amazing sushi, and pairing it with a delicious wine that costs $5 with one of your girlfriends - like truly, that is the good life. Our bartender hooked us up with a surprise order of 4 different nigiri - all were awesome. He even sent us a savory mushroom skewer and a complimentary dessert. We had originally wanted their Kinoko nigiri but it's only on the dinner menu which is why he sent us something similar from the lunch menu.
