My last review was 8 months ago in which I was a first timer. Still offering great service and the dining area is always clean. Now that I've probably eaten here six more times since then it's time for an updated review. They are still at 5 Stars even though I've tried different items of which some are ehhhh and some are delicious. I am not deducting stars even though I do not like their Lo Mein Noodles. To me they taste like they've been boiled in dirty dish water, but that's just me. I've tried them several times with the same result. My son and many others love em. I'll stick with Fried Rice. I've had chicken, beef, and shrimp main entrees and enjoyed them all. Some are better than others, but I'll continue to order a variety of entrees to experience their wide variety of choices. Overall I found this to be a C+ experience. When I arrived I spoke with the employee at the counter about the roll options and the kids meals, and he told me about them. The employee was courteous. I chose the kids chicken fried rice and a vegetable roll. I grabbed a drink, and discovered they have Maineu Root Sodas--huge score there! (Heck, I'll go back just to get a drink now!) It didn't take long to get my food. The vegetable roll was tasty, but the wrap was too thick. The chicken in the fried rice was tender, but tasted rather unremarkable. I felt that way about the rice as well. It tasted OK, but it seemed like something was missing. I'm not sure what it was though. All that said, despite the mediocrity of the food, the service made me happy and, as mentioned, I love the sodas, so I'm going to go back, try something different, and give the rice a second try. This is a very good spot for a quick lunch. The servings are plentiful and the Coke products are served cold here. The food has plenty of expected flavor and is served in generous portions. Paid more than $30 for one person combination meal. For an entree, drink, and side, and soup. Full order of food ($4.50 upcharge )looks like a half order. $3.50 upcharge for noodles are not worth it. They don't even have cabbage in it. Just oily, flavorless noodles. Egg rolls taste only of the clearly heavily- used oil they are fried in, as well as it being overpriced (almost $5 to have two small egg rolls). Soup was disgusting, worst egg drop soup I've ever had. Orange beef is way too sweet, cuts of meat were chewy and bad, and the flouring is not crispy. The food arrived piping hot and large portions. The meals came with a side of rice and a soup as well. Overall a good value. The standout was undoubtedly the beef and broccoli. The sauce was tangy and a bit spicy. The beef was tender and there were large broccoli florets that looked and tasted very fresh. Unappetizingly, the fried rice has a seasoning on it that I can't quite place, almost like MSG, that tastes very artificial. The sesame chicken appeared to be made from ultra-processed, possibly previously frozen meat. Even the soup had this synthetic seasoning. After several hours of cleaning yesterday-I was exhausted and opted to pick up food instead of cooking. Woks It 2U is our stand-by for Chinese food here in Leander. I've said it before and I will repeat it. The food is consistently good. The only thing I have noticed in their change of locations is that the eggrolls are a little more greasy and I don't think that has anything to do with the location. If I had my druthers the vegetables in my Kung pao would be chopped, smaller, especially the green pepper . When they changed locations for some reason, we just haven't stopped in for lunch and we both really miss interacting with the manager ! I'm sure they were probably nights. He was there, but it seemed as though he had things so well managed. He actually could go home and spend time with his family at night Below is a copy of our order. The General Tsao's Chicken dish was a good portion. If I were to compare it to all the General Tsao's that I have eaten, it would be a average to slightly below average. (2 stars) Breading is thick and chunks of chicken were on the smaller side. Flavor was average, a little salty. Nothing really special about the food here but it is convenient and fast. A wonderful, consistent Asian food eatery that is my house's go-to when we have a craving. This place is very unassuming, but their other reviews speak for themselves. We mostly order delivery, but we have always had our food delivered hot, promptly, and correctly. My favorite dishes are the wonton soup and shrimp lo mein with medium spice, and my husband loves their king-pao chicken. The portions are Texas-sized, and I can usually get 2-3 meals out of one entree. The one time I did stop in for grabbing my take away, I found the staff to be friendly and quick with getting both dine-in and to go orders out. It's great to have reliable restaurants with quality food nearby. read more

TLDR: This place has promise!  I'm sure to be back, and soon... I'm a fan of Woks It 2 U (which is a name I can't help but say in an aggressive 'New Yawk' accent) back when they had the 1 place on Ronald Reagan Blvd. It's a family run place that's betting on the future growth that's springing up all around it, and given the quality of the lunch I had today, I'm hoping that they thrive. Their new location's dining area is about double the size of the original (about 16 tables) and better laid out. Service is solid, the restaurant's clean, and there's even a drive-through option. Only reason I'm giving this 4 stars is I've not tried their main entrees here yet to see if they still do that excellent brown sauce. I can vouch for their excellent chicken-fried rice, zingy hot-n-sour soup, and Mama's miniature egg rolls! This place scores a 4 out of 5 on the 'CTJ Scale', as noted below. 5 out of 5 stars: Come-to-Jesus good. Would be OK passing away after finishing a plate here. 4 out of 5 stars: Come-to-Mary good. This should be a no star rating. I traveled the US extensively every week for 35 years as a road agent for a large Japanese/American corporation. I dined in some fabulous Asian restaurants during that time, including many outstanding sushi bars and Japanese eateries. I ordered Mongolian chicken, hot and sour soup and a vegetable egg roll. My wife had the almond chicken and pork egg roll. We both ordered fried rice. With drinks and tip it was over $50! Welcome to inflation. Both plates were inedible. The chicken was gristle tough and stringy. It wasn't "sliced" per the menu. The rice was dry, but tasted okay. The soup was missing several ingredients and was very salty; some of the worst I've ever tried to eat. My wife had a few bites of her dish and just pushed it away. She said the sauce wasn't right, in addition to the awful chicken. I removed all the chicken from my dish and ate the green onions and bamboo shoots. We considered returning our plates but figured if they can't prepare chicken, all their other offerings would be just as bad, or worse. The veggie egg roll was terrible. It was just mush inside. Probably frozen. Their weird soy sauce dispenser gushed sauce all over my plate when I tried to dribble some into the egg roll. I showed the guy our table and the big pile of chicken I removed from my dish. He asked if we needed to-go boxes. I told him the food was inedible. He said, "How can that be? I've eaten here xxx times and our customers love our food." I explained why we couldn't eat the food. He apologized but didn't offer a replacement. We left and went to another restaurant. $100 for dinner, and still not sure how they can serve food that substandard. Even the iced tea was tasteless. I didn't look at the fountain drink machine, but my wife said all the selections were weird, with no normal colas or Dr Pepper (period after Dr properly omitted). We live way out in the sticks, west of Lago Vista. It's a long haul into town to dine out or experiment with new (to us) restaurants. Still looking for a decent Asian eatery. read more

Not only does this place have really good food and service- I lost something from my pocket, and the owner himself took the booth apart to see if he could find it for me!!! Who does that!! The food... well, if you're a fan of the other Chinese franchise with a drive thru, then you will likely enjoy your meal. If not, I would recommend passing on this one. My order was pork in garlic sauce with steamed rice, egg roll and hot and sour soup. I would swear that the entree had maybe 5 very small pieces of pork, lots of some kind of sweet and sour sauce. Again, it was pork in garlic sauce that I ordered. It was the sweetest garlic sauce I could never want. The hot and sour soup was a doctored egg drop soup. I assume keeping it simple is the corporate motto. The egg roll was probably the best part. It was crisp and not soggy. Nothing special, but at least freshly fried. The streamed rice was really dry. No clumpiness. All that said, Leander is not known for its Chinese cuisine. read more

Well, I wanted to like this place but after several times of wrong orders, overly salted entrees and oily egg rolls, I've decided that they've used up all my high hopes. The shrimp with snow peas were far too salty and way too much cornstarch that the sauce was lumpy. You could have squeezed oil from the egg rolls and were cold, no sweet and sour sauce given, we had to ask for it. The lomein had a rancid and oily flavor. The shrimp and vegetables we were told it was a brown sauce but it looked reddish and not much flavor besides salt was obvious. Whoever is cooking needs to ease up on salt, I'm not kidding. Last experience was just another disappointment after spending short of $50 for lunch. We will not be back. I've complained to the restaurant before and even when I tried again, I should have known not to ever return. But here we are again. They definitely are consistently poor. Sorry. Hubs went through the drive through and ordered General Tso's chicken with steamed rice. We know they have to cook the chicken fresh and were prepared to wait about 5-10 minutes or so. We waited over 30 minutes for the food in the drive through with no communication from anyone inside to pull forward or "sorry it's taking so long" or anything. The food was really good, which is why we gave it 3 stars, but I definitely suggest going there to sit down rather than wait in the drive through if you're eating there. They also have a call ahead/order ahead option available too if you're wanting to do take out. read more

I've become a regular at this location and eat there at least once a week. Typically I order a beef & broccoli combo plate w/ egg drop, fried rice, egg roll, and a sweet tea which runs about $17-$18 total plus tip in a drive thru. From time to time they'll forget my egg roll or drink and I usually just swing back by and they take care of it no problem. Today, I ordered a medium egg drop soup, a side of pork fried rice, and a large sweet tea. I had a little sticker shock at $20 plus tip and again they forgot my drink. It was a white lady I see often and she always refers to me as my friend, and rather than giving me the tea I ordered, but never received...she spent 5 minutes going through receipts to inform me that she didn't "forget" anything and I was never charged for a tea. I told her I just spent $20 on rice & soup, but that doesn't include my tea that I ordered? She said no, do you want to order a tea, and I simply pulled away. I will never eat at this location again. Hopefully more small businesses owners learn to appreciate their regulars. I respect and tip all my service workers, I know it's not always an easy job and I didn't expect her to spend her $4 tip to replace the drink I ordered, but never received...but was one sweet tea worth the loss of business? read more

Lunch special is fantastic. Egg drop soup was fresh and hot and served with wontons. General chicken was a nice amount of heat and the chicken was generous sized white meat pieces. Not too much sauce - just right. Even comes with an egg roll right out of the cooker. They defined found the gap between fancy sit down high quality Chineese and "great food - fast". Looks like fast food place at first glance - definitely not the case! The only thing fast here is the service! Not coming back here... after a busy , tiresome day yesterday, the evening before Thanksgiving,I drove through the drive thru and ordered 2 containers of hot & sour soup,and 2 egg rolls The total was $17.03....simple enough.. I did ask for sauces for the egg rolls. After a short wait(10 minutes or so), he handed my bag to me and I left. Unfortunately, I didn't check to see if my order was right. Sure enough, upon arriving at home, I found only one small container of soup, 2 soggy greasy egg rolls, and no sauce that I had asked for. NEVER going there again.... Why ? We got take out. It was quick and the food was ready when they said it was. I got the pork fried rice. It was alright. My wife got the broccoli with chicken and it was really disgusting. Tasted like the chicken was cooked in a really bland soup and then had chili flakes poured on. The worst part was that my wife and I both got sick afterwards and have been dealing with food poisoning for the past few days. We assume this was the culprit since we never eat here and the food was pretty bad. Don't know how this place has so many good reviews. read more
