Truly horrendous service and quality. Don't waste your time or money. Placed an online order for pickup, which was to take 30 minutes to be ready. Got there right on time, but it seemed they hadn't even started my order yet. As I waited, I was left confused by the interior. The place was completely empty except for one person working the register. All the tables and chairs had been pushed and piled together to one side and there were a bunch of boxes stacked towards the back of the room. The floor was filthy. There were also employees going back-and-forth yelling at one another pretty regularly. I don't know how they would expect anyone to want to dine in with that atmosphere. I finally received my to go order and made the trek home. There I realized there was no rice for our entrees. I called to see if we could get a partial refund due to the error. They argued with me for 5 minutes - not claiming that they gave me rice, but that it shouldn't matter and that I shouldn't get a refund. Then they said they'd have to ask the manager. They set the phone down and had me listening to yelling for a while. No refund, no accountability. On top of this experience, the food was not great. I won't pretend it was terrible, but nothing special and certainly not worth the experience and errors in putting an order together. The lo mein was bland and a bit dry. The lettuce wraps lacked flavor though the lettuce was fresh. The hot and sour soup also wasn't as flavorful as expected and did not have any heat to it. Ribs were decent, but wings dry and overcooked. I am shocked by the response to what seems like a reasonable request. I paid for something I didn't get and felt I should've gotten a partial refund. During the conversation, I asked if they were interested in trying to retain me as a customer and they weren't. That's fine. Plenty of other places in the area to take my business. read more

Impressed with the lunch specials, great portions and great prices. I ordered the Orange Chicken and General Tso's and both hit the spot. Funnily enough, I couldn't really tell which was which! I assumed the orange colored one is the Orange Chicken but the other had that orange peel aroma so who knows. Either way, both were tasty and made with white meat. The soup, egg roll, and fried rice were all fresh and flavorful too. Love that they offer free delivery within a 4 mile radius (order directly from their website, skip the apps). Definitely adding this spot to my regular lunch rotation. Excited to try more dishes soon! read more

I was a bit skeptical walking in since it didn't look open. But today I wanted Chinese and a friend recommended this spot. They say they order out from here but haven't been inside. I was the only one in there when I went. Staff were really nice and helpful. Well from my experience this time I'd give the food 5/10. The chicken was pretty good but the rice was pretty sad. Nothing inside when you asked for fried rice. Just rice and soy sauce. Adding to that, then most of the crab rangoons were hot on the outside but, cold in the middle. Not really a fan of that. Eggrolls were good. Pretty big and full of ingredients. Other thing, it was kind of warm inside a few times, and the restroom needed some attention. read more

This has now taken the No. 1 Chinese spot in our area for me. Sadly, the dining room is pretty much just used for storage these days. If you dine in, you'll be eating off Styrofoam and plastic ware and order just as if you were taking out. The food is so good, though. Favorites are the steamed dumplings, chicken lo mein, and the beef with snow peas. It is so good, we have to visit at least once a week now. I wish they would resurrect the dine in experience -- it would bump it up to 5 stars for me. read more

We tried to find a sit down restaurant to have a family dinner, but this restaurant is mainly a to-go spot; they had about three booths and a lot tables, but all of the tables were pushed to one side, so we just ordered our food to go. The food wasn't too good and my order wasn't presented nicely--the sauce was just thrown in one spot over the shrimp and not evenly distributed. We ordered meals for 4 people and my husband got sick after eating the food and was adamant his sickness was directly related to the food. We all ordered four different entrees, so it's possible, but can't say with certainty. We had 4 eggrolls--2 vegetable and 2 chicken ones--the vegetable eggrolls had a strong non-food odor coming from them, so I ending up just tossing them. This place has been here for a while and I finally decided to give it a try as it's near my home and I really wanted a good salt and pepper shrimp or calamari. I ordered a few different items: Crab Rangoon 3/5 - some of them were pretty empty, the tops were crispy but the bottom was kind of chewy- I tried them as soon as I picked up my order so it wasn't because they were to go. The filling that I did get was good but a tad sweeter than I like. Salt and pepper shrimp: 3.5/5 pretty good and spicy but these were not crispy at all, I expected the jalapeño to be larger but it was diced. - you can choose steamed rice, plain fried rice or some other kind of rice. I picked plain fried 1/5 super bland . Garlic scallops: 2.5/5 - this should be labeled bell peppers in sweet brown sauce instead. There might have been 2 scallops total in this thing that They slice super thin like a poker chips. The dish was mainly bell peppers & was not garlic tasting either. I see why I haven't gone here before, something told me I would be disappointed. This place is to go orders only so when you walk in the left side of the restaurant is used as storage and the right side has a couple booths , obviously not for dining in. I am glad I tried to order from this place and I was not disappointed. Food quality is better than in fortune house next door. I would definitely order from here again. Sesame chicken has good amount of white meat in tasty sauce, pad Thai was surprisingly pretty good. I was so happy the first time that I ordered the same think a few days later. I like consistency. We've ordered from Wen's Cafe seven or eight times and have had very good luck with them but not this time. The order arrived on time and we immediately sat down to enjoy it. We ordered orange chicken and sesame chicken for our grandson and beef with snow peas. The portions they provide are very generous. They are consistent in that respect. However, this time the food was not as hot as it normally is. Also the chicken entrées contained huge chunks of chicken that needed to be cut with a knife. Also, the chicken was very dry. This was honestly not my favorite Chinese food. I ordered the green bean combo lunch special and the Ma PO Tofu. The spring rolls and green bean combo was decent but the ma Po tofu was not a Po tofu so much as it was brown gelatinous sauce that was like sweet but not in a good way. I ended up recooking the fried rice to add vegetables into it, but I knew the combos only came with plain fried rice. I probably wouldn't come back although service was quick. read more

Wen's Cafe is near me, and there was a period of a couple of years where I ordered almost every week for delivery (dinner). The delivery is always wonderful - 5 stars for delivering HOT food! The online ordering applications is simple and effective - 5 stars! The food has always been very good, and portions are just right. I normally get two meals from my entree. Why only four stars? The last three times I have ordered the Dry Fried Green Beans, I select my rice choice in the app, but the rice is not delivered with the order. Since I order this as a vegetarian meal, the rice is as important to me as the green beans. Without rice, the value is reduced overall, and it is an inconvenience to order a full meal and receive only half of it. Since this has happened three times in a row, I have stopped ordering from Wen's, even though I would like to. If the rice is no longer included in the entree, the rice selector should be removed from the online ordering app. I would expect the price of the entree to be reduced, as well. There are also times during dinner hours where you cannot place an order online; this is likely because they have taken the max orders they can prepare and get out, but I am guessing. Ordering ahead of time seems like it would be a good idea. Deciding at the last minute to order from Wen's doesn't necessarily work, even during their operating hours. I am a fan, though somewhat of a disappointed fan now. read more

I have dined here in the restaurant, but it was my first time ordering food to be delivered. Everything was good and our bellies were stuffed. We had the house special fried rice, chicken with jalapeño, eggplants in garlic sauce and kung pao triple delight. I have to admit, I miss the service you get when you dine in at a restaurant. The service was always awesome when we went. Orders were promptly taken and our drinks were always refilled. Be sure to check my photo of the plain fried rice to avoid being charged extra. I have hit up Wen's since they opened! I was stoked to have a Chinese restaurant so close and they have yet to disappoint. The portions: Yall, they have Texas sized portions of everything, to include the kids dishes. Most if the time I order off the kids menu and can get two meals out of it. The food: I have tried many times from soup to specials. My favorite will always be the steamed dumplings of wonton soup. They don't use a bunch of ginger in the dumplings, which I appreciate. The soup bowl is gigantic!!! My kids get the sweet and sour chicken and eat on it for days. My older os a fan of egg drop soup but wasn't a fan of it here, but she's picky on hot dogs yall! We have never had to rush home, if you know what I mean, after we eat here. The only thing I wish they had was fried wonton strips for the soup. read more

General chicken was also great in terms of flavor / portion and texture but pieces were a lot bigger than average, which for portion is great but we feel like you almost have to use a fork and knife to eat it properly and that's a little out of the norm. The salt and pepper shrimp is delicious when it's still fresh and crunchy. With that being said, it's a gamble when ordering delivery as it will likely arrive soft or even soggy. This is my go-to spot for the shrimp roll appetizer as a quick snack. Especially after a nearby grocery shopping trip. So I always drive pass this place while picking up Little Ceasars for my kids, but I decided to go inside and order some Chinese good for my wife and I. So here are my thoughts. Pork fried rice is really good, if I was just rating the rice alone this spot was have gotten 4.5 starts. The rice did have a tad bit to much onions for my liking but I'm sure it was fine for others. My wife ordered the sweet and sour chicken and thought the sauce was extremely to sweet. She did however couldn't help but steal some of my pork fried rice because it's looked as good as it taste. The sesame chicken I got could have been better. It taste like they only used the driest chicken breast to make it which had me disappointed. The it was seasoned perfectly and but the meat was just to dry. I'd definitely give them another shot because if how good they rice was so I hope they are able to redeem themselves when I go back.
