Is it still fast oof when it takes this long just to get up to place your order?!
    Brett J.

This was our first time here... and we went through the drive through. We were just picking up food for our boys to take over for their dinner at the sitters. So I didn't eat from here... my wife didn't eat from here. The process to get through the drive through lane was arduous! There were only two cars in front of us but it seemed to take forever! Fast food is the name of the game.. right? Well this was snail food or turtle food. It was sooooooo slow! The offering is limited.. only a few selections really but the boys got teriyaki chicken one with white rice one with brown and we picked up the sitters orange chicken too. Our boys liked it. They ate it all and said they would eat it again. So I guess that kind of says it all!

    portion for a hamster

The line was very short but I think it's because no one wants to eat here lol. I paid extra for the black pepper angus STEAK not a whole bowl of veggies. Didn't even get an ounce of meat. ridiculous.

Run lmao. The food was hot and good (being generous here) until I looked down into my rice and found what I presume to be a maggot/grub?Squishy to the touch.

    Missing orange chicken

Ordered online and unfortunately I did not notice there was an error with my order until I got home. The order was missing an entire entree which was orange chicken. This broke my heart.

    It's Ight

It's Ight the stake was a little dry could be better the chicken was Ight I could of made better the noodles were Ight too could be better

The quality was amazing this time (typically it's not and I'm shocked I came back honestly) but the kid serving at 9pm 01/21/21 lied and said they were completely out of their chow mein. Called to clarify when Panda's typically stop cooking more when they run out and the lady on the phone was really nice and told us to come back and she would be happy to prepare us a fresh meal. I would give a two star rating but these kind of mix's up almost lost them a twenty dollar bill + we definitely wouldn't have came back obviously if we didn't call. Grateful for the girl on the phone, disappointed by the unprofessional dude who wasn't worried about serving us but wanted to talk to the customer checking out because they were friends and were talking about their cars.

Customer service is horrible, from the time you arrive to the time you are at the window.

The food is surprisingly tasty although the serving size seems small for the price! Wish they ran some meaningful prices!

The entry area and interior of the restaurant are clean and colorfully decorated. We were seated immediately and beverage orders were taken and delivered promptly. We asked for extra time to look over the menu before ordering. There is a wide assortment, even on the lunch menu. Prices are very reasonable (less than $15) given the quality and amount of food. Included in lunch are choice of soup (corn, hot and sour, egg drop, and wonton), egg roll, fried or steamed rice, and the main course. My friend and I both chose wonton soup and shrimp entrées. The soup was rather salty. The entrées we ordered were very good, with my friend's Kung Pao shrimp on the spicy side. There was no skimping on the amount of shrimp! Our waitperson regularly checked in and refilled our water glasses. There's no doubt that we will return the next time we want Chinese food.

I ordered hot and sour pork soup. I had never had hot and sour soup with meat. Portions were generous, ingredients fresh, and the food arrived smoking hot. The noodles were soft, smooth and flavorful. The pork inside looked like tiny meatballs. The first thing I noticed when I walked in was the restaurant was completely full and customers were continuing to flow in. Because the restaurant is rather small, I had to wait about 20 minutes for my order. Jim, one of the owners, said if I had ordered 3 items it would take about 45 minutes, that's why I went with one. You could easily tell that many folks at the restaurant were regulars, which means the food, service or both were exceptional. Definitely will be returning to Three Gorges...

Family…read morestyle, big portions at a good price point. - Cumin Lamb: A heaping pile of thinly sliced lamb that is tender mixed in with cumin seeds, sichuan peppercorns, fresh cilantro, and red chilis. The cumin seeds give it that signature earthy, aromatic flavor and you get a slight tingly numbing spice sensation from the chilis and peppercorn. The lamb is not overly gamey, but it still does taste like lamb so if you are not really a lamb fan, I'd choose something else. - Jumping Fish: A very popular dish! Tender white fish fillets that is so soft it melts in your mouth. It is in a flavorful oil and broth that is refreshing from the fresh jalapenos. It is a savory dish, yet still relatively mild. It commes with napa cabbage as well! This was my favorite dish and I loved the flavor combined with the white rice. - Mapo Tofu (Vegetarian): They have one with pork as well, but I got the vegetarian version. Silky soft tofu cubes in that signature mapo tofu sauce and numbing peppercorns. Despite the appearance of all the dishes, none of them were very spicy. Overall, a comforting soft, spicy, savory dish with a slight tingle. - Eggplant in garlic sauce: A deliciously sweet and umami garlic sauce. The eggplants could have been a bit more cooked through in my opinion though since it was still quite firm. I loved it still! Note that all the dishes to me were not spicy just had an underlying subtle spice or tingle (like a finishing flavor note if you will). Also, since it is sichuan the dishes are on the oilier side. You order with the cashier at the front and pay up front as well. Food comes out quickly. It is a small space with three rows of tables (maybe around 12-15 tables give or take), so it does fill up fast. I went at around 5:40 PM on a Thursday and there was no wait, but by the time we finished eating at around 7PM, the restaurant was full. House of Three Gorges was hyped up a lot on my social media feed and through word of mouth, so I came in with high expectations. Luckily, they did not disappoint.

Got it, keeping it more direct and matter of fact:…read more --- Ho Ho isn't the banquet style Cantonese restaurant many of us used to go to anymore, but they still do keep the food the same. Their wonton egg noodle soup is one of my go to dishes in Austin. The broth has more depth and umami compared to Dinh Ho, and the wontons are a bit more fatty and bouncy. It's a satisfying bowl. Their Chinese BBQ is also reliable. The space could use some upkeep. It feels like not much has been updated since the next generation took over, and the wear is more noticeable after COVID. I understand wanting to keep things the same, but some investment into the building, furniture, and overall ambiance would make a difference in how popular this place can be given it's long standing reputation for excellent authentic Chinese food. . I still come here when I want a solid wonton noodle soup and BBQ.

The establishment outside is run down but we were surprise to see the inside booths/tables were nicer than the outside. There are live tanks of seafood when you walk in. You need to wait to be seated. Service was good and food came pretty fast. We ordered the general tso chicken lunch special which comes with hot and sour soup. Lunch special is from 11am-3pm Monday-Friday. The general tso chicken is salty and was not well balance. The chicken was dry. It was lightly battered and fried. The sauce was one note. The stir fried flat noodles N12 combination was under seasoned and needed more soy sauce. The squid was not seasoned at all. The shrimp was imported shrimp and was not good. There were still poop lines in the shrimp. You didn't get any smokiness from the soy sauce at all. Do I recommend this place? This place was a staple in atx but with my Overall experience with the food quality I cannot recommend this place. We have had the roasted pork before and it was ok. Not the best we ever had but meh. Where we were seated we can hear the cooks yelling at each other in the kitchen. There are other restaurants in Austin that are way better.
