It's been three years since I've written a review and nothing has changed. Golden Chick Hutto is just as excellent now as it was then. Lonnie and Raymond make my day every single time that I see them. No matter how busy it is, they handle it like pros every time. Hutto Golden Chick will ALWAYS be my choice!!!! read more

Chiken is quite salty all the way through, it took away from the chicken. I wasnt a fan and the bread bun for the maily deal had a funky petroleum smell. Fries were nice and crispy when I got it. I got the fries okra but really dont care for it. read more

Lunch today with the wife. Intended to try Chopsticks, a new Chinese restaurant nearby but it wasn't open for lunch on Mondays and Tuesdays. Golden Chick was nearby. We were greeted by a very unfriendly counter lady.and we should have taken the hint and left. We ordered chicken tender combos which came very quickly. The tenders looked undercooked and tasted like flour. The fries were outstanding though! Not recommended! Try Bush's Chicken just down the road! read more

This the best golden chick out there best customer service. They are nice, fast and just friendly people

The Golden Chick of all Golden Chicks. The most golden of them all. Amazing and quick service. They have their routine down and know what they are doing. AND great food, what more can you ask for? We love this place. read more

I have been to this Golden Chick at least 100 times in the last 10 years and have to brag on it. Everytime I come here, whether it is the drive thru or inside the employees are always in a good mood, smiling, and seem to be happy to help you. Sometimes the rolls have been hard, which is one reason the 4 not 5 stars. I learned the first few times to always check the rolls and they will replace them for you. They don't even give you a hard time. My kids fight over the chicken tenders but I go fo a good leg and my husband is a breast man. I haven't had and piece of fried chicken i didn't like here. Now, the roast...again contributes to the 4 stars. BUT I don't go to a friend chicken place for roast chicken...c'mon man!! read more

I made a $70 order. It was missing many items, had wrong items, and wrong flavors. I already made one review of this. I got an automated apology after yelp review. Tried calling MANY times. But they refuse to answer the phone. I made a couple of messages on their website. I received notice that they received my complaint. But not one attempt to contact me about my complaint has been made yet. Why would I ever wish to go there again. All I can do is make LOTS more negative reviews until they reimburse me. read more

I don't understand what everyone is complaining about, this store just provided me excellent service and amazing fresh yummy fried chicken! What else can you ask for?! Went in Drive - Through, asked for a fresh batch of 16 piece chicken tenders, she told me to wait about 15 minutes, pulled around, 10 minutes later, freshly fried hot chicken tenders and fresh sides! Yum! read more

Golden Chick is that food you want that reminds you of the good old days and is always consistent! I've been going to Golden Chick for over a decade since my apartment used to be right by it. Fast forward 15 years later, it's still one of my favorite places for tenders, gravy and sweet rolls. My mom was craving their fries during the pandemic so I found my way here. The dining area is closed so it's drive thru only. No problem! The drive thru line was long, but when I left it was wrapped around the corner. I came at the right time! The line was moving fairly quickly. I wanted to try the shrimp and we ordered the usual. The chicken tenders and fries were good. My mom loves their cole slaw. The shrimp was good. The Lotta Zing is amazing! I like to throw that on the tenders or in the gravy to spice things up. You can actually buy it to sprinkle on your food at home. Score! Customer service was great here. The workers in the drive thru were courteous and nice. They were using hand sanitizer constantly (in case you are worried). We enjoyed our food. Thank you Golden Chick. read more

Food was super good, the wings were tenderly. But the only thing I didn't like was that I order a large battered fries but when I received them, all I got was a few bunches of fries. Other than that they were efficient with the service. The ambiance of the place was chill and mellow. read more

The food here is absolutely trash. The people that work here are trash too. Seriously, the service at this place couldn't be worse. I wouldn't recommend this place even if you were in a pinch. The lobby is dirty and the people that loiter here make coming here to eat awkward. Honestly, I am in disbelief that this place is still in business. read more

The chicken tenders are so good it's hard to believe they are oven-fried! Moist, fresh, and delicious. The battered fries are awesomely crispy. We've also had the mashed potatoes and gravy, the coleslaw, fried okra, and the dirty rice on various takeout trips. The fried okra and battered fries remain the favorites. Whether you order the fried chicken, the roast chicken, or the tenders, you won't be disappointed. read more

Ordered the fried catfish for lunch and was shocked to find no catfish inside the breading... there was a thin layer of what might have been fish but was so cooked it was hard flakes. The okra was good and the roll was unfortunately very hard. I've been here before and the chicken has always been great. Hoping next time I try the catfish, there will be more fish inside! read more

I ordered the chicken tenders and fries. First they forgot the dipping sauce. They were barely warm. Out of 6 only one was bigger than my thumb. They were supposed to be half regular and half spicy, no go. If that's what they call spicy Oregon has something for you! All of them were regular. Strike 3. For the final nail in their coffin chicken strips at Randall's grocery store hot deli are gourmet compared to the Golden chicks "tenders" as they falsely advertise. read more

I figured I would give their new cod fish sandwich a try. It is not what they make it out to be, honestly. There is so much fatty batter on this thing, that's all you taste. Disgusting. I am a total believer in their chicken. But I for sure don't not recommend that the fish sandwich. And to top it off, it's $5.99 just for the sandwich alone. 3 times the cost of McDonald's brilliant fish sandwich, and you get 2 for $6. And Arby's has 2 for $6, also. My wife and I happened to show up on one of the 2 days they do chicken livers and gizzards, Tuesdays and Wednesdays. She says the fried chicken livers are the best she's had in the area. She wanted to try the chicken and ordered one individual chicken strip. She loved the livers and chicken strip. She was glad she had ordered the small order of livers. Their idea of small is a lot. Could only eat half of it. I devoured some of the tenderest, juiciest chicken tenders I've ever had, the #1 came with a side, 4 tenders and an awesome yeast roll...the gravy was awesome. They also have cones and vanilla ice cream for dessert included in the price. We will be back, just like Arnold and MacArthur. read more

Wow, use to be a decent place but obviously Popeye's is taking the business. I see why, went there tonight and can't even eat my food. Yeast roll hard and chicken seems like it's been sitting for HOURS, Super Dry (dark meat) and even the corn nuggets were dry. Shame, shame, shame to even serve this to your customers. The lady working the drive-thru this afternoon was great! She had a great attitude and work ethic. Food was delicious!!

My son ordered a chicken sandwich with extra sauce through the drive thru. I guess this was someone's idea of a joke. There was no bad exchange or anything so imagine being surprised with this. It was so wet and soggy that my son threw it away. Everyone's food should be prepared with care and respect. Do not go to this place. read more

I was scared. I was scared that going to Golden Chick 30 minutes prior to closing that I would receive food that had been sitting under a lamp. I was worried that my fried okra would be spat in, because there are a lot of people ready to get the hell out of work, and do not want to deal with any customers in the last hour that they are open. I shouldn't have worried. What an awesome night crew. They took the time to reconstruct my all-over-the-place order into a neat family pack that saved them time and me money. They did not act at all in the least bit annoyed, and I'm sure I over apologized, but each apology was waved away and returned with a smile. They did this with 2 cars sitting behind me in the drive thru, as cool and collected as a fast food crew could be that close to closing. The food I got was HOT and definitely fresh. Blown away by the measures these guys took to make sure I got the best deal paired with hot, terrible for you, food. read more

This is the second time that we have been here and had an incorrect order. Lady taking orders was rude, and needs help in the customer service department. Also, they were out of medium cups so they gave us small drinks. No price adjustment which we were ok with had they not messed up the rest of the order. Don't bother taking the survey either because they won't contact you , It's too bad, because the fried chicken is actually good. read more
