We came here with a larger group. The man that greeted us was very nice and accommodating. It was mid day on a Saturday, so there was plenty of seating. When our waitress came to take our order, she was a little short with us because we were trying to give her our full orders but she just wanted drinks first. Totally fine... but the way she did it made it appear that she was annoyed. The food came out pretty fast. She was accommodating to the fact that my husband ordered my daughter Korean style and didnt realize it was going to be saucy. He thought from the description that they were just double fried. I normally go to the location on Burnet rd.. Man there is a night and day difference between the two locations. The location on Burnet Road seems to be outdated and a little bit rugged versus the location in round rock is more modern and a little bit more inviting the service at the round rock location is far different more personable than the service on Burnet Road. The differences between the two even goes to the color of their margaritas the Burnet road location has more of a traditional golden margarita color to it. The round rock location has more of a purée, looking color to it. Anyways, my experience at this location was great. Can't say that much for the date that I was on the date was lousy, but the bartender made it worth my while. read more

Tumble 22 is a local favourite from what I gather. It's also exclusively a small TX chain restaurant. This location is one of the four near the Austin area. Chicken is their specialty, specifically Breaded Hot Chicken. This location is joined at the hip with Via 313 Pizza, which looked a bit confusing from the outside. I thought they were the same restaurant until I attentively took a second glance. Not the largest of venues, but it does have a good amount of seating. We ordered dinner the other night and it did not disappoint. Their online ordering was pretty simple, their prices were pretty reasonable and my order was nicely packed and ready to go when they promised. All our chicken (Thighs and Tenders) were all absolutely fresh and delicious. We all don't care for spicy foods so we opted for the whimpy version. The Fries were crispy despite the 30min travel home and the Mac & Cheese was so nice and creamy. Unfortunately, I didn't care much for the Collard Greens because they were quite spicy. So we all ordered our food, it was a late lunch and we had another one coming on the way so we added the chicken Cobb salad for her and my mistake, I should've gotten the larger one because the regular one is not as good a deal. Our waiter was super nice super attentive. The food came out fresh and hot. I liked it. The fries were crispy and fresh. Chicken wasn't bad but it wasn't as spicy as I thought it would be, but maybe people hyped it up because it wasn't as wow as I thought it would be maybe I got the wrong thing cause my other son usually gets the boneless and he raves about that but it wasn't bad. I didn't eat the pickles or the bread that comes with it so I gave it to the kids. The slaw was fine. The salad I was told it was underwhelming. This is the second time she got it. It was all right. The pies were not it and kinda pricey for pies coming in a slice, but they weren't that great at all sadly. A bit stale. Overall it's fine. The price wasn't too bad. It's for what you get. The past few times have either had missing items or the food was disgusting and even both. This time is the last time I spend money here. The chicken sandwich of the month was the thickest toughest piece of chicken. No flavor barely anything that was supposed to be on it came on it. You have to check if everything is going to be there every time before leaving. Last time they forgot the 1/4 dark meal and this time they forgot the sauces you pay for. I wanna say that service here is superb! I talked to the manager here and he was so helpful when I was having some issues placing an online order. They were so kind. I got the szechuan loaded fries (free if you make an account), the two boneless thighs hot and the chicken sandwich. The chicken itself is not very spicy (tried the mild and hot) but it is crispy and light. I got the coleslaw as a side and really enjoyed it! Full disclosure: I'm a T22 fan of longstanding, but mostly familiar with the Burnet Road location. I was interested to check out the one in Round Rock. Happy to report it's just as good as the original. Funky chicken decor, friendly servers, and excellent chicken that arrives at your table very quickly yet always seems straight out of the fryer. I like the Happy Hour menu, available from 4-6, when I don't want a big meal. Sometimes, like today, I'm fine with a single piece or a few tenders and a single side. I am mostly writing this review for the service because it was not good at all. My colleagues and I were in Georgetown and needed to find a place to eat. I am used to eating at the Tumble 22 on Burnet Road where they give discounts for first responders and are very attentive even when they're busy. This was not the case at this location, even though there were only two tables sat in the outdoor dining room. My half Cobb salad was good as usual, but the waitress forgot several items for our table multiple times. Overall, it was just a very uncomfortable situation and I would not recommend this location. read more

The ambiance can be alittle cramped though, its very popular, and they do not have a ton of room. It gets busy, they also close earlier then some places. It is the best chicken in austin. I got the southern sandwich with a side of Mac n cheese. The mac n cheese was pretty okay..you can tell they seasoned it which was good. The sandwich was good but I wish it didn't have as much breading and more meat. It also only came with mayo which is kinda weird but it wasn't a deal breaker. Once I added their signature sauce ( I think that's what it was) and some ranch it was waay better. Ordered the Lil OG, hot, and when it comes to Nashville hot chicken sandwiches, this is arguably the best I've had. The coleslaw looked homemade and it was awesome. Oddly enough, the bread and butter pickles was the best surprise. It was the perfect sweetness against the hot chicken. The chicken was crispy and the bun was grilled on both sides (love that). We came with a large group (13) at lunch and we were seated quickly and the server was attentive to everyone. No issues at all with service. I was in town for the UGA beat down of the Longhorns, and leaving Sunday morning. My son and I stopped at this quick spot outside of the airport area. Big surprise of the quality of the food, yeah I know it was just chicken but it was fried to perfection and the sides were so fresh. I had the 2pc dark with Mac n cheese and coleslaw! The Mac was excellent and not the usual plus no salt n pepper needed. The coleslaw was awesome and so fresh!! Must have been made that day. My adult son had the 3pc tenders with Mac as well. I've had the fried chicken from this spot but only from take out or a delivery service, so this time was different and AHMAZING!! We actually ordered pizza to-go next door at Via, but their bar service was lack luster at best... as bar people, we are super low maintenance it like a good bar vibe with a friendly bartender and Via wasn't that... so we wondered next door while we waited for our pizza and we are so happy we did!! The tenders were good, seasoned to perfection and the sauces - ranch and comeback were my favorite. My husband has been craving fried chicken and this restaurant has been on our list. We finally tried it and loved it. Service was excellent. Since it was our first time, our waitress walked us through the menu and the more important hot scale ratings! The fried chicken was excellent...perfectly fried and the right about of heat for his liking. He got the potato salad and collard greens and those also hit the spot. The art and decor of this place is nice The deviled eggs aren't devilish at all they tasted like heaven! Yummy!!! Conssssl Some seating is a bit too close to the kitchen the restrooms. I was very disappointed in the chicken. Looks so tasteful and full of flavor but was very bland. I will say the hot sauce helped me enjoy it. Some of the best fried chicken around town. If you love spice, this is the place for you. They have 5 levels of heat (Hot, Mo' Hot, Dang Hot, Cluckin' Hot and Stupid Hot) my personal favorite is the Cluckin' Hot. It has enough heat to burn my lips and still maintain all the flavors of seasoning and the juicy chicken. I also request the bone in and jumbo tenders be dropped fresh when I order. Yesterday I forgot to ask for the jumbo tenders to be cooked as I ordered and they got cold pretty fast. Lacking the juicy and too hot to eat effect. It does take about 20 minutes when you ask for it to be cooked fresh. I guarantee you, it is worth the wait!!! I've heard so many good things about Tumble 22 and was so excited to eat here. We were seated within 15 min which was awesome, but then the wait began. It took forever for someone to come by to take our order and then it took even longer for our food to come out. We were seated at 1:33 and didn't get our food until 2:40, which was ridiculous! The restaurant itself didn't seem that busy, especially since we were seated so quickly, but I think they only have one waitress serving the whole outside area. That being said, the food itself was so good! The chicken was hot, crispy, and so juicy. I got the mo' hot level which is perfect for someone who wants it to be spicy enough to make their nose water a bit but not too spicy that you have to stop and drink water between each bite. I think they used a white cheddar and I prefer a yellow cheddar so that's why I wouldn't order it again. If you like white cheddar, this will be fine. Sadly, the waitperson never checked back, other than to deliver the check. A drink refill would have been greatly appreciated.
