Pro tip: Always ask for the extra side of sauce just to make sure you don't run out!

I have been a fan of Dave's Hot Chicken since the very beginning, back in East Hollywood (yes, that means I'm no spring chicken), so I was excited to visit this location now that I live in Texas. Everything was just as good as I remembered, and the best part is that there's a drive-thru here! I went with medium since it's been a minute. The chicken is spicy, but I could have leveled up for sure. I'll be back to move up to hot and extra hot again soon! I like both fries and the slaw, so I added some slaw to the meal. I don't know if it's the best hot chicken out there, but it brings back so many memories for me that it's definitely top tier in my mind!

Doing some Christmas shopping and was hungry. Went to the drive through and there were only a couple cars ahead of me. The line moved quickly, gave my order (#4, hot with a coke) order was ready really fast and I was in and out in a flash. I ate in the car while waiting for my family to finish shopping. Everything tasted fantastic! Nice and hot, fried were crisp as were the pickles. The heat level was nice and spicy! The only negative is that they forgot to give me any napkins! Man... I had to use a dirty napkin I had previously used and my sleeve... the Hot level really got my snot locker flowing!!

Now this is how you manage a CROWD and serve HALAL!!!! This was my first time coming here and I used the free slider promo. I got the lite mild slider. I ordered fries and a drink. The first thing I noticed when coming to this location was the amazing crowd control. Someone was at the door greeting us and letting us know where there was room to step inside. The employees were curious and didn't get frustrated with so many people. Crowd control is a big deal to me when dining out. Even with the crowd, cleaniness was maintained. My sandwich was lite mild and I enjoyed it. There was no spice that I can taste, so next time I will get something hotter. The chicken was cooked really well and the portion size was great! All of the ingredients were perfect on the sandwich. I will definitely be back . The promo was a good idea.. I had a good experience. The chicken is also halal

My son and I dined at Dave's on Saturday afternoon and honestly I'm not so astute on the "Hot Chicken" concept and really haven't even tried other local offerings, but I do know fried chicken so here's my perspective. It's important to note that customer service was excellent and employees have a sense of urgency and seem to really care, so that alone is commendable and refreshing to see. I'll always prefer bone-in chicken breast or thighs if available on the menu but fried breaded breast tenders are only good to me if served immediately out of the fryers and especially if they are dipped in a sauce. It just seems that once you dip or pour sauce on boneless chicken breast fillets of tenders that the crust loses texture and the chicken is no different than Applebee's or Chili's boneless wings after a minute or so that's not worth $14.99 for this chicken sandwich and fries. That's being said the Dave's Hot Chicken Sandwich was okay Saturday being it likely say in the window for a few minutes or more before my buzzer sounded off. I think it dressed well with the pickles and kale slaw and it has the potential to be really good if all the components were outstanding like with a fresh well toasted bun that could hold up to the kale slaw for a few minutes until served along with the chicken bring hot out of the fryer before being sauced and immediately assembled and served. Out of the two chicken sandwiches, I consider the best I'd say that Dave's Hot Chicken is good but a distant third. My first choice and all time favorite is the Spicy Bird and The Big Bird at Roots Chicken Shak at the Mueller HEB Main Street Food Court on East 51st in Austin , hands down for the fried chicken thigh, kale slaw, dressing, pickles and the most wonderful and appropriate bun. The Spicy Bird $8.95 and Duck Fat Fries $3.95 is served hot and is always 5 Stars so well worth the price and you can enjoy it in the HEB beer garden with your favorite hard or soft beverage from the bar. Great customer service too! My second favorite is the iconic Popeye's in Austin that is managed top notch and is the best for cleanliness, freshly prepared quality food, and great customer service! Dave's Hot Chicken in Georgetown is good and I'm glad I didn't have to wait in line to order, but I think converting the Carl's Jr maybe is a different flow in Kitchen and affects the service tempo. It's a new restaurant with new employees still be trained by corporate trainers so we'll be back in a few weeks to try again!

Cauli Daves #1 2 Cauli Tenders with Cheese Fries

I gave this another try because I was curious about the cauliflower options. I really cannot understand the craze over this chain. It just does not hit the mark. The seasoning again had an unpleasant almost burnt flavor to it, and there was no distinction between the heat levels that I could tell. I tried both a medium and a hot and didn't feel like the hot served up the heat that it probably should have. The cauliflower tenders were not the full or even half steak that appears represented on the website. You may get a 1/4 piece, so they're pretty small. Because Dave's sauce is basically orange mayo, I asked them to give me ranch instead, and they couldn't even follow those directions. The saving grace again were the cheese fries, but a little skimpy on the cheese this time. This single meal was $32! This was before delivery and tip. I cannot believe I just spent that amount of money.

Beware !!! The Reaper is gut wrenching hot !!! I had to sign a waiver to order it !!!

I've had Dave's Hot Chicken in Houston and in Waco, was glad to have one now in Georgetown. I ordered the medium, just a hint of kick, and cheese fries. Also ordered a reaper to take home and eat. OMG, it's friggin gut wrenching spicy, great flavor but holy crap !!! I could only eat about a quarter of it and I love spicy. I'll finish it off, but not all at once !!! I actually had to sign a waiver just to order it !!!

This place is Good....really good...Service was fantastic, place is really cool looking with a great paint scheme throughout. Everything about the food was just about perfect....Problem is the Price....A meal should include a drink...it doesn't....Online prices were way lower then what we paid...Huge problem that need to be addressed right away...Everything from the meals, drinks, extra sides were not priced right....cost us an extra $8-10 dollars....and Im so Sorry....Im not tipping at a fast food joint....this is Total self serve joint...Its the first screen that pops up before you can even pay....As much as we enjoyed the actual meal...I Can't see coming back @$48 for lunch...When I can get just as good or better with a true dine-in experience.

This is overhyped. The meal I got cost $16....you get two tenders (heat of your choice) a little boat of fries, two pieces of bread that are plane as heck and like...4 slices of pickles lol. I don't even know if a drink k came with it. They never mentioned it and I wasn't added a priced drink to a meal. Weird. Customer service was really good, but the drive thru took about 30 min. They just opened. But anyway, you can go to Raising Canes and get 4 tenders, actual toast and more fries for $11 with a drink. These tenders weren't bad, I got MED heat and there was no heat at all. The sauce tastes like a cheese based sauce. This place is just plain and overpriced. Remember, MED heat is truly no heat. Now the tender ARE bigger than average, but still. Plain Janes. Not enough for your buck.

I knew better when I seen buddy put a sealed bag of cooked helotes in water to warm it, that this was 50/50 on good, but DAMN. The chicken tenders, tasty. Juicy & not small. The plain is basically like eating a canes tender.. boring. The lemon pepper & bbq ones were a lil better but very light on the flavor. Like, very light. Mid at best. The sweet potato waffle fries, fkn trash! They HAD to have been warmed/prepped in a microwave bc there isnt a CRISP to be found. Soggy and undercooked. The white mac. Horrible. Bagged boiled noodles & 50 gallons of cheese sauce that has not a pinch of flavor. It was so gross. But the one that made me spit out my food & write this review was having to wring the grease outta my "Texas Toast". 1st of all why tf do you use toast to line the bottom of the chicken box & seal it up?? I rolled a tender into a piece of bread & took a bite & it was like a mouth of melted butter. I was immediately grossed out. I literally smashed & smooshed the toast, wringing it out & it was like a wet towel. Dripping w grease. That was it for me. This was a definite waste of money!! Idk how this place was so packed!!!!

Even with a heat index of 108°, I still walked in for their hot, succulent bone broth ramen...that's how good it is. The "LIVE NOODS" neon sign above the open kitchen is a perfect touch, you can watch the team pulling fresh noodles and building bowls right in front of you. It gives the place that energetic, authentic feel while keeping everything clean and modern. Wooden counters, red accent lighting, QR code ordering, and those sturdy stools make it comfortable for a quick solo meal or hanging with friends/family. Shout-out to Ana -- she was the absolute guide to deliciousness! She took my order with a smile and gave spot-on recommendations that led me straight to the good stuff. Service like that makes all the difference. I went with the Texasy Tonk (deep 60hr+ tonkotsu broth loaded with smoked brisket, smoked jalapeños, takana mustard greens, ajitama egg, and thunder oil) rich, savory, perfectly balanced heat, great chew on the noodles, and melt-in-your-mouth brisket. For the side I grabbed the Hot Pocketz from the Summer Combo (crispy birria-style brisket pockets with Oaxaca/Monterey Jack blend and birria dip). They were straight fire...crunchy exterior, gooey cheesy interior, spicy kick, and that dipping sauce took them over the top. Pro tip: Pour the remaining au jus from the Hot Pocketz into your Texasy Tonk broth at the end, it takes the flavor to another level! Cold beer + sake chaser rounded it out perfectly. Pro tip for first-timers: If you're new here, stick to the OG classics on the menu (like the straight Tonkotsu or Miso) -- they're rock solid. Once you're hooked, branch out to the fun Texas twists.
