I visited this restaurant for the first time for lunch. This is a restaurant with a red door located on on Williams Drive directly past Estrella Crossing. The storefront is inviting. Upon entering the restaurant, it is very comfortable and feels like a nice place to be. Upon looking at their signage, they have live music! I will definitely be back for that. Upon looking at the menu, they have many yummy dishes to choose from. However, I have extreme food restrictions, and I did not see anything that I could eat because I am dairy free, processed sugar-free and gluten-free. I shared this information with my server (i'm pretty sure her name was Haley). She said, "let me go talk to the chef," and off she went! :) She came back and recommended "caprice chicken over veggies" which they would customize to my dietary restrictions. Wow, that was over and above and so comforting! She said that the caprice chicken over veggies dish came with a salad and she checked -and all of the salad dressing had sugar in it, so I told her to bring it to me plain with a little bit of vinegar on the side and she came back with a salad with dressing on it and she said that they found some apple cider vinegar they put on top and would that be OK... OK? It was perfect! I loved that she listened to me and she knew that was within my diet restrictions! Haley is a fabulous server. I told Haley that she was so good that I'm going to ask for her to be my server every time. I feel so blessed to find someplace that I can eat comfortably and be so satisfied! Did I mention they have Italian wine!?! Oh so good! Based on the 4.5 rating I wanted to try this place. Food was just okay. The cheesesteak sandwich was bland and room temp. Hoody's subs in Round Rock makes a much better cheesesteak sub. The chocolate cake ordered for dessert was not fresh. Not really good. read more

This is a small establishment exceedingly popular with locals. Friendly staff welcomes you with a front and back menu that changes. The atmosphere is "prohibition area" and menu items are named with that theme. Food is wonderful, not prepared so served hot. Today my partner had the alvacado toast, which she loves and the presentation was fantastic. Focaccia bread, cut in quarters spread with the avocado and seasonings and tomatoes and bits on top.. The plate was dressed with a balsamic sauce which she also loved. I had the "copper plate," 2 4" pancakes with a choice of bacon, ham, or sausage. Pancakes were hot enough to immediately melt the butter and on went the syrup. The friendly staff kept our drinks topped off which is always nice. Strongly recommend. read more

Great attentive service! Cool interior too! I'm on a protein diet, and had decided on a side order of meatballs before I went. Sadly, they are made with bell peppers, and that's a big no for me. At that point I was limited in my options. I asked our waitress if I could order just a burger patty. No bun, produce, or fries. She confirmed with the kitchen that I could, and I was in business! My dining partners ordered flatbread pizzas, and were very happy with their choices. I truly appreciate not being forced to buy a whole meal & waste most of it. Sometimes reading reviews before actually eating at a restaurant tends to make one very judgmental. I prefer to dine not once but several times before I formulate an opinion! We have dinedhere 6 times now for both lunch and dinner and enjoyed the take out option. We have just relocated from Fort Worth and were looking for our new go to ITALIAN RESTAURANT and I think we've found it! From the time we entered and through out our meal our servers were very attentive and made us feel like long time customers! The food is excellent from the cheese steak and Italian beef to the pizza and the pasta we have not been disappointed! Still haven't sampled the breakfast/brunch option yet but it's on our list! I really, really wanted to love this place, but the food was just mediocre. The service was pretty good. My daughter was begging me to get soup with my pasta, but I wanted a salad, so the waitress surprised us with a small bit of soup for my daughter along with my salad. We ordered mozzarella sticks and they asked if we wanted marinara, ranch, or both. We said both, but had no clue we'd be charged for the ranch (which tasted like the bottled stuff and went uneaten). The pizza was delicious. Nice thin crust, wonderful crispy cupped pepperoni. The dogs and fries were served stone cold. It was truly shocking. The fries were bland and tasted like refrigerated fries. Couldn't eat them. The chili on the dog was not great. The flavor of the Chicago dog was good, but the beef dog was so cold. The burger was tasty and the tots were served warm and crispy. The pasta was just meh. Not bad, but just lacking that punch of flavor. I found myself wishing we were at another establishment that we knew had good pasta. We were dining at 6pm and they were out of a lot of items, which seemed odd. All-in-all, not terrible, but quite a trek for us and nothing stood out to make us want to try again. read more

The salad is very tiny. Tiniest I've ever seen. But it was loaded up with lettuce so it's not as tiny as it appears. The salad came out about 5 minutes after ordered which is fine but it took....20 min later for food. Bathroom was very clean and beautiful. Service was excellent !!! Menu was big! This place was designed with love. To increase that star ... bread... bread needs to be chewy sourdough. Please ditch the white hot dog level bread and Put some olive oil and balsamic vinegar on the table for dipping .... And if you want to really wow them.... Put out some crushed fresh garlic soaking in olive oil for dipping.... Mmmm Thats Italiiano. Now the egg plant should have been rolled in bread crumbs rather than just egg. Tried this new place out for lunch. Called to make reservations as recommended on their FB site. Arrived a little early & waited a bit, but seated as soon as a table opened up. They were busy! Service was friendly. The interior is really cute. They had a few large groups having lunch. The food was delicious! I had the lunch special with the small soup (French onion) and 1/2 cheesesteak. After recently moving to Georgetown, I've been wanting to find the local spots to check out and that journey led me to the Red Door Kitchen. The owner Bill gave his recommendations for both breakfast and lunch. I ended up going with the breakfast and ordered The Goomba with a side of their sausage gravy for the biscuit. This wasn't just a meal, this was an experience! This is the breakfast plate diners can only dream of. Everything was amazing and the biscuit with gravy was the star of the show. We will most definitely be back and look forward to many many visits at this local gem! read more

First time and it was very tasty. Our service was excellent and our waitress actually seemed like she enjoyed her job. (Which seems rare these days.) She was so joyful. We got the lasagna and the Italian beef sandwich. Both were delicious. I ordered the sandwich "wet" which I probably would do the au jus in the side next time. The lasagna side was a side salad. It's a very very small side salad but given the serving of lasagna, that was okay. It was very large. Not a typical pretty layered version but it was delicious nonetheless. The sandwich came with fries which while very nicely cooked lacked flavor and seasoning. The restaurant has a nice atmosphere and decor. I grew up not too far from Chicago and Detroit so it was a nice throwback to those times. We'll definitely be back and can't wait to try whatever else they have to offer. Oh... almost forgot. We've been excited & happy to support this local eatery in an area that's starving for more restaurants that aren't fast food joints. The PROS: Wait staff are great - super personable & friendly. Location is good. It's like an Italian diner. Images of the Rat Pack on the walls and speak easy vibe is fun. Desserts are good. The CONS: Regrettably, the food has been inconsistent. First time we went it was good and we enjoyed it. The next few times, less & less. The most recent was bad. What do we mean?... Pasta was literally mush it was overcooked so badly. And we were the only customers. We really love the girls working there and want them to succeed. But the kitchen is the weak spot that's going to put them in jeopardy. Our last experience was just unacceptable. For us the premise is simple. I'm a so-so cook right. When I go out to eat I expect it to be better than what I can make (which isn't saying much). But even my Home Ec level cookery couldn't mess pasta up this bad. We really want them to succeed. The kitchen is faltering, not the front floor staff who are workin' it big time. I've eaten at the wise guys in Round Rock and enjoyed it and I've been meaning to try this place. Had some friends in town and we were looking up local restaurants and reading reviews and 100% when we saw the responses to some negative reviews and found them absolutely hilarious we decided we really needed to come check this place out. After we were seated we asked if by any chance the person who was responsible for responding to reviews was in, and shortly were greeted by the owner, had a very nice conversation with him and got the backstory on his take on how to respond to idiot customers. I can say that even if he can't. But he doesn't really hold back much lol. For anyone considering a meal at this venue, if you have a problem with any part of your meal, not that I think you will, but hypothetically, just let them know and it will be made right times two or three. That's just the way he does business. But these internet want to be food critics who don't say a word then go home and barbecue the restaurant in the reviews without ever having given them a chance to fix it just piss me off at a primal level. Anyway, we got the loaded house tater tots and cheesesteaks which were great and talked at length about some other menu items that I really want to try in the future. Their lasagna and chicken parm in particular. So five stars all the way around from this guy, definitely be back. Also just realized that you serve breakfast on the weekends so really looking forward to that as well. They didn't use low-fat vegan soy bacon, and I'm pretty sure that the rash that I developed 3 days later was a direct result of the soap they had in the bathroom that was non-GMO or hypoallergenic. Being from Chicago, I appreciate the try here. It ain't Portillos, in fact, it's a sit down an order restaurant rather than fast food joint. Long story short, I had a bowl of spaghetti with 2 meatballs. The sauce seemed jarred and the meatballs didn't scream home made...pretty plain. My wife got the Italian beef with onion rings. The beef is 20% smaller than Portillos, and the onion rings were served cold. Quality was a concern overall. Our bill was $40, $20 per dish. Way too expensive for the food quality served. If prices were more reasonable, we would have tried again in a month while running errands or on our way to a ball game. read more

I love the Red Door. The food and service is second to none. My husband and I go there at least once a week not including take out. We Love Miguela; she is the best. She makes us feel so welcome every time we come in . Her serving skills are professional, thoughtful and conscientious. Her smile and demeanor is infectious. I look for her every time we go. The owners Bill and Dandy are also great people. I love the ambiance and the concept of their restaurant. But most of all we LOVE there FOOD. The meatballs are to die for. The best Chicago Dog ever. I think this a place you either love or hate. I fall in to the not so much group. My pasta was overcooked. The tomato sauce had an odd texture. The salt and pepper shakers were visibly dirty and not filled in a while. I know others in my neighborhood love it, so try it for yourself. Our server was very nice. The menu was affordable. Wanted to like this place so bad, but I was pretty disappointed. First of all the waitstaff was a real treat and the lady that greeted us was so sweet, so we had high hopes. It has a delightful dining room and is relatively quiet so you can talk. On to the food-- I got the eggplant parm and hubz got the spaghetti, he always does at new places and we have tried spaghetti from here to Italy, So, maybe our expectations were a tad bit high, but- the "Sunday sauce" was flavorless and sparse. The spaghetti was mushy and just very underwhelming. It was more like Sunday morning leftovers after a hangover. The eggplant parm was completely tasteless and tasted like frozen eggplant. Bear In mind, we only tasted these two dishes. The bread, was just a seasoned bun and not very tasty. I don't know if they can improve, but I hope they do. GT needs a good Italian restaurant. So disappointing. I was really looking forward to eating here, and it wasn't anything that I expected. No liquor license yet, but that's okay. No wine with dinner. Meatball appetizer was good. The sauce was rich and the cheese was abundant. My friend got the lobster ravioli, which was pretty good. I got the Texas Chicken Alfredo, which was not good at all. The sauce was bland, with only a harsh kick from the jalepeños to offer any flavor. The chicken was heavily breaded and hard as a hockey puck. I had a few bites and pushed it to the side. The waitress, who was nice enough, didn't even ask why I didn't eat my entree. Dessert was the chocolate cake and Italian cream cake, and both were cold like they just came out of the freezer. They both seemed like grocery store desserts. Apparently the liquor license will arrive in six weeks and they're getting a pastry chef, so the desserts should improve. I certainly hope so! read more

I wrote a review & he lies about our interaction trying to say it was fake! Really? You know good & well that you are a very egotistical, angry man.
