I came here for the first time today. It is a very pleasant atmosphere. Lots of healthy foods and drinks. They have a sandwich bar where they make custom sandwiches. They also have ready-made salads and wraps. They have beverages such as topo Chico. They sell Siete chips. They have an adjoining room with a sitting area and a bar where they serve beer and wine. They also have some seats in front, outside, so bring your dog! Upon entering, we were greeted promptly and treated well by our server and sandwich maker, Vanessa. Vanessa was very informative and very helpful in helping us decide what we wanted & telling us about their products. We ordered two sandwiches, a smoothie, a juice and a six dollar bag of chips and our bill was $76. That's a lot of money for two sandwiches, a smoothie, 1 juice and a bag of chips. We could've gone to some fine dining restaurant for $76. The juice was exceptional, my son liked his smoothie. The sandwiches were good. They weren't amazing, but they were good. They were very overpriced! So as for atmosphere and customer service this is an exceptional place to be. I just wish the prices were lower because if they were, I'd come here every day! I will be back for juice, but I can safely say I will never be taking anyone here for lunch. Not at these prices. Oh, they also have a rewards program. For my $76 purchase I have $7.60 rewards to spend. I do like rewards. read more

A friend of mine and I stopped by Hydrate in Georgetown for a quick drink to refuel. She got a Beet Juice smoothie and I got a Kumbucha. Both drinks were refreshing for a hot day. My friend really loved her smoothie. While the server was nice and friendly, he was utterly overworked. He was making the drinks and ringing folks up at the cash register. Eight people were in the shop a the same time and it took a while to get everyone's orders and to ring them up. He took all the busyness in stride and did not let the crowd effect his process. It appeared to a spellbound environment for customers. Everyone got served and appeared happy. Also, the server acted as though this was standard fare for him. Holy cow, talk about operational inefficiencies and an overly confused business model. The food and smoothies are great--and I would go more often if I had all the time in the world to wait around for food and smoothies to be prepared in the most time-consuming and inefficient ways. This place could stand to pay an operations consultant to fix their processes. Also: just paid $120 for four smoothies, four sandwiches, and some fruit for my kid. I know that 2024 is expensive, but that's a dumb pricing model to go with an equally disappointing customer experience. I've been here around 10 times by myself, and it was always slow, but this was the first time I ever bought my whole family sandwiches and smoothies. It will also be the last. read more

Sandwiches were good but wouldn't go there purposely for the sandwiches. We both had a smoothie. The frozen fruit makes the smoothie frozen since she doesn't add water or ice. Worthwhile to size up for just $1. Flavor combinations were varied and most sounded good to me. Ingredients are organic and non GMO. I tried Caffeinated Monkey which had banana, peanut butter, coffee beans and almond milk and was super tasty. Good caffeine boost. Partner had a mixed berry and avacado and added wheatgrass. He was happy with it. The store was eclectic with a separate sitting room where you can eat or hang out. More of a cafe vibe with plush sofa and tall bar table. I was surprised at the amount of customers and the owner handled the food prep and deliveries incoming without sacrificing customer care. She was amazing!! Yum! The smoothies here are absolutely delicious and healthy too! We got the Hello Mango, which was thick and earthy with a subtle fruitiness. We also got the Funky Monkey, which was sweet and creamy! We tried the avocado toast- BOMB! And they are not stingy with the avocado :) There is an inside area in the back that is super cute, so def check that out. Ashlynn served us and she was great! When this place first opened I was excited because the other smoothie shop in Georgetown had closed down during COVID. Smoothies were delicious although overpriced. Quality has definitely gone down. On our recent trip (May 2023) were met with "attitude" from the attendant working the bar. We ordered our 2 smoothies ($22!) and I immediately noticed mine did not taste like it typically did - like it was missing an ingredient. But I drank it anyway only to find that the banana that was added to the smoothie was never incorporated into the drink but rather left as a huge chunk at the bottom of the cup. Sadly this was the case with my daughter's smoothie too. For $22 I would expect our smoothies to be blended. This is not the first time we've been met with some attitude at this place either. It's the cutest local spot with grab and go food and snacks and of course juices and smoothies. The lady working immediately told us everything is organic and natural, no powders used. The girl helping me was awesome I'm very indecisive and she had a lot of patience and recommended the good stuff. I would come here over smoothie king any day that stuff is literally all fake sugar. K and I love going to Hydrate to fill our water jugs or to grab a Funky Monkey and those are usually consistent. However, the quality of service had been declining over the last few months. On this particular day, there were several customers in the store (backed up to the door). One person was working the front of the store while another was busy in the back. This was a time where they needed everyone in the front as the front person was clearly overwhelmed. The second person only came to the front when the kombucha line needed to be changed. When they changed the line, they took a drink of it and made a sour face with a negative comment about the kombucha. After which they served us the kombucha. The second person then re-disappeared into the back leaving the full house. Products are good. Service is declining. read more

My first and will be only experience here was not good. The Christmas stroll event was going on in downtown Georgetown and Hydrate had a "spiked" hot chocolate which is nothing more than hot chocolate with 1 shot of Kahlua or Baileys. We order 2 and the total was a whopping $37. I honestly thought it was a mistake and when I asked if the price was correct.... The lady responded with "it is a cocktail." I don't know if they were taking advantage of the fact that it was during the Christmas Stroll so they felt they could price gouge or if that is normal for them but it was ridiculous. My family had stopped in a few times prior (always when they were closed of course) finally got the chance to try them today. We got 5 smoothies and 4 of the 5 were not good-simply put didn't taste like anything. Not sure if the fruit used was bad or if we just picked the worst items on the menu but I was very unimpressed for 5 $8 smoothies to not even be as good as a McDonald's smoothie. They were very patient and walked me through their different juice and smoothie options. The juice that I ended up getting was the green juice. I forgot the actual name of the drink. So happy to have found this place! We've been looking for a place like this in Georgetown. Their kombucha is excellent! They have it on tap and switch out flavors every so often. I recommend the blueberry and the beet/carrot. We've also tried their thanksgiving turkey sandwich and it is very good! Love the turkey plus it's a big enough sandwich for two people!
