I ordered food from Ruby Garden on DoorDash and was seriously impressed. I got the Pho Tai, two pork egg rolls, and the fortune fried rice, and everything arrived perfectly hot and incredibly fresh. The Pho Tai bowl was packaged with care, and came with a side of neatly wrapped, very aromatic large fresh mint leaves as well as fresh cilantro on the stem so I could add them to my liking right into the bowl. That extra touch really stood out. The broth was simple but very flavorful and comforting. The meat was cooked lean and just right. The noodles were perfect and not soggy. The egg rolls were crisp and satisfying, and the fried rice was well cooked and full of flavor without feeling heavy. You could really taste and see the quality of the ingredients in every bite. I would absolutely order again. Great food, great flavors, great packaging, fresh produce and everything arrived hot and ready to enjoy. It truly hit the spot. read more

The associate even asked how soon we would eat our Togo order as travel time will change the quality of the noodles. I've never had that happen, and it impressed me. New name, same great food. Wife and I had craving for pan fried noodles. Went to THE spot in town to get them. She got her's with pork, me-beef. Also decided to give the salt and pepper shrimp a try. The cashier let us know when we ordered that it would be a 20 minute wait and apologized. We said no worries and took our seats. About 5 minutes later, he brought over some complimentary soups and apologized again. What a wonderful gesture! Their hot and sour soup was delightful and Wife enjoyed the egg drop. Soon after, our pan fried noodles arrived...y'all don't even know how crispy they were! Like, audibly loud. Tasty. They really hit the spot. The salt and pepper shrimp were fantastic. Battered and flash fried, the salt and pepper was not already applied. Instead, you get a ramekin of pepper/salt/lime juice (I think). You can then dress them yourself, brilliant. Plump shrimp, not too much batter, and the sauce POW! Glad to see the food is as delicious as ever. read more

I come here strictly for the Vietnamese Pho and I'm never let down! The heat is perfect and the noodles don't bunch up or stick together. Think about this the next time you eat Pho. This place does it right and the man behind the counter is always polite and generous. The atmosphere is also very nice and this is a good place to come alone or with a group of friends. The seating is comfortable and the bathrooms are very clean. I'll have to come try the Chinese food here - but the Pho is very good. I get it with some fried egg rolls - the fried eggrolls here don't have meat though just FYI - they are vegetarian. As for the Pho, I get Phở Tái Chín, which is a Vietnamese beef noodle soup featuring both tái (thinly sliced rare beef) and chín (slow-cooked, well-done beef brisket). This is our go to Chinese restaurant. It is quick and fast. The prices are abit more, but you are getting a good quality food. The rice and even fried rice which I don't normally like is good! I got the pho tai bo vien and fried rice. Both were amazing and had just the right flavoring and were not too salty. There is a lot of space to sit and was very open. While I was eating, there was a full party who came in and took up almost half the restaurant; however, there were still left over seats to accommodate more guests. A lot of people were doing to-go orders so this could be a great place if you want some good Asian food and don't want to cook. There was really great service from the staff and they were very attentive to us to make sure we were enjoying our food and did not need anything else. We love this place. I try virtually any Asian restaurant that is within 30 mins of my home or workplace. As a Vietnamese and Chinese restaurant this is our go to given its proximity to our home. The proprietors are friendly and attentive. The food is great. I've ordered. A variety of items from their menu both dine in and carry out. All prepared well and full of flavor. I'm a fan of their ap chao, Mongolian beef, sweet and sour chicken, beef and broccoli and their eggrolls. They do canned beverages so that's a let down. But water is fine. Yikes! I usually like to snap pictures of my food to keep a good log. But I guess each time I have forgotten while here and just gobbled it all up! I went here a couple weeks ago because I was feening for some hot and sour soup. I was surprised at the location because I go to that shopping center all the time and didn't even know it was there. There wasn't many people there which I figured was because it was a rainy day. There are lots of tables inside so you can dine in and also some TVs to watch. I got a bowl and a cup of the soup. I also got some shrimp fried rice too. The price was pretty reasonable too. I wasn't a big fan of the hot and sour soup at this location. It was okay. It served it purpose for the time. Ordered takeout from the website for pickup. I ordered the chicken Delight with added Shrimp just in case I didn't like the shrimp, I would toss it and still have the chicken. I also typically find that when I order shrimp from Asian places, it's not deveined. To my surprise, Ruby Garden deveins their shrimp! I love Chinese food but it's not easy to find a good place with good, classic dishes, this dish was good. The brown sauce was excellent, fried rice was cooked perfect, veggies were large and fresh (not frozen), and the ratio of protein to veggies was equally weighted. I paid for an egg roll which was a dinky, meatless spring roll. I'm hoping this was a mistake. Otherwise, good food. They didn't give me plastic utensils which I don't mind. If you are purchasing a to-go to take to work or somewhere you have no utensils, be sure to ask for some. read more

Everything could improve especially their food!!! Was so bad I couldn't eat most of it. Twenty dollars down the drain. Absolute worse Asian food! Not even the rice was good and how hard is that to make. The soup tasted like water with goo in it - no flavor whatsoever. The orange chicken was dry and even hard in some places. The flavor was NOT orange chicken, I don't know what it was. I pulled a couple of what felt and looked like small pieces of bone out of the chicken. Food was fresh and tasty and the usual TX size ;-) Neg: fish sauce is Americanized - watered down and sweet. Needs to be stronger. I've ordered from fortune garden 3 times now. Each time, I'm more disappointed in myself for giving them a shot. I'm not sure if it's this location or their franchise recipe but it's not working. I've had the coconut walnut shrimp, beef and Broccoli, and shaken beef. I believe these items are pretty basic and hard to mess up right? To be completely honest, the frozen packs at Trader Joe's are better. The most recent order: The beef cut used to make the shaken beef was so chewy and rubbery. The flavors were foreign to this classic dish. It was Overly dressed with sautéed onions. They have so many locations all over Austin, but three strikes are three too many.
