This place is outstanding!! Great service, clean facilities and friendly atmosphere. The portions are amazing. Haven't had this good a restaurant experience in a long time.

We ordered take away from PhoEver Diner. It's our first time ordering from here. The order arrived still hot, and a very pretty presentation. The bun beef had a good flavor. My husband liked the Mongolian beef as well. I was secretly wishing they had more rice options other than just steamed. The pork spring rolls were not good. No flavor to speak of, or herbs like it mentions on the description. The steam bun itself was hard. The meat inside had a good flavor. I was disappointed for sure though. Portion sizes are very large, that's always a plus.

Chicken Fried Rice and Pork Egg Roll

Last evening, I ordered chicken fried rice and two crispy eggrolls online. My order was ready very quickly and the food was delicious. Their chicken fried rice is very fresh and tasty. It was a generous portion. The eggrolls are nice and crispy and tasted pretty good. They could use a little more meat, but they were pretty good, overall. The gentleman who gave me my order was very friendly and when I have dined inside the restaurant, I'm always treated very well, courteously and he always checks on me to make sure I'm happy. I think a lot of reviews on yelp are when this restaurant was owned by someone else. The service and the quality food is much better now, so if you were unhappy before, I would definitely recommend going back to give this restaurant a try again.

    Very good stir fry.

I uploaded their recent menu items as they have a new staff and are still in the process of training them to serve their whole menu again. My personal favorites that I get on rotation each time I come are the Banh Cuon w/ Pork (Vietnamese Rice Cake), Large Banh Xeo (w/ no squid), and Com Ga Di Bo (Rice Plate w/ Boiled Chicken). I always order a side of Goi Cuon Nem Nuong with my respective entree as well. The Sugar Cane Juice is absolutely delicious, fresh, and not too sweet. The service here is always friendly, attentive, and timely. Nice relaxing atmosphere with television and restaurant music for your dining experience. Definitely recommend for all my fellow Vietnamese food lovers!

I ordered their pho with meatball and 2 orders of their beef on the side. Their pho only has one size which I assume is their large, cuz it's huge! It comes with 3 meats of your choosing. I thought I ate a ton, but when I was close to full, it looked like I didn't eat any at all. My husband ordered their B1 grilled pork and fried eggroll vermicelli bowl. Safe to say, this place has texas sized portions! We will definitely be back cuz I always crave pho when it's rainy season. There were only 2 servers who were constantly running around, due to a large party; but they were very attentive. Lots of seating, pretty spacious restaurant!

It has been one of my favorite Vietnamese restaurants-and one of the only places to serve the Vietnamese pancake that I love. I sat down, getting ready to contemplate the menu. I was shocked to see it was a brand new menu. I asked my server about it, and he concurred that it is a new menu, but that the owners had taken many of the former choices off. . NO more fried rice-always my grandson's favorite. Although I was disappointed when it was time to order, I chose the Mixed Protein Bun. I requested shrimp and eggrolls. It is a bowl filled with rice noodles, shredded lettuce, cucumbers, shredded carrots, and your choice of protein. It also comes with a generous portion of fish sauce. After one bite, I knew that the old chef must have left. My food was so bland. To start with, I don't think it was salted at all..... which quite often affects the flavors negatively. There were no other spices or sauce or anything tasty in my bowl. I was very disappointed. I didn't even eat a quarter of the Bun. I didn't take the rest to go and I won't be returning, unless I see that they have returned to their former style of cooking. So I'll definitely be watching the reviews. It makes me very sad to have to write a negative review, especially about a place. I have enjoyed so much in the past!!!

After having a bad experience a couple months ago at Sorn Thai down the street (read my review) we…read moredecided to check out JaiWai. We had walked past it a few times in the past and had been wanting to try it out. The restaurant is small and non-assuming, but don't let that fool you. We opted for lunch with a couple friends and were not disappointed. Our server Mack greeted us as we arrived and quickly got us seated with menus and waters. I had heard that the Kao Soi was supposed to be really good, so I opted for that. My wife had her usual Pad Thai with chicken, our friends had Pad Krapow with pork and chicken Basil Fried Rice. Living in Thailand for 6 years as a kid, I pretty much know good Thai food, and I can tell you that all 4 dishes hit the mark. I tried tastes from all 4 dishes. The Pad Thai was served with crushed peanuts and a big slice of lime and was very flavorful, had the right amount of sauce, but probably could have used just a tad less sugar and a few more pieces of meat. The Basil Fried Rice was delicious. It had that "wok-fired" street food taste and was served with some sliced cucumber and a slice of lime. The only thing I would change is to leave the broccoli out. You don't typically see that in Thailand. The Pad Krapow had a spot-on taste associated with good Pad Krapow and did not disappoint. The only suggestion is to be sure and order it with a fried egg to make it more authentic. Last but certainly not least was my Kao Soi. Only recently becoming more popular here in the US, it is an egg noodle curry soup dish that originates from northern Thailand. I have had Kao Soi in restaurants in Chiang Mai, and I can tell you that JaiWai hit every mark with this one! Most impressive was the plate of condiments. It included a lime wedge for a little acidity to help brighten the flavor of the broth, chopped shallots for some freshness, and pickled mustard greens that really make a difference! They are tart and crunchy and help counter the richness of the broth, a component that's very important in Thai cuisine. And lastly, fried chili flakes. This is optional for those who want to add some heat to their bowl, but for me it is mandatory. I like my Thai food hot and spicy. The only suggestion I have for the Kao Soi is maybe top it with slightly less fried noodles. They were welcome, but just a tad difficult to mix them into the soup because of the amount. Mack did an amazing job serving us. He was very friendly and took the time to confirm our orders. So I highly recommend JaiWai and we will be making it our go to Thai place in Georgetown. Do yourself a favor and give them a try! Ambiance - 9/10 Service - 10/10 Food - 10/10 Overall - 10/10

We had the yellow curry with tofu, pad Thai with tofu, and the papaya salad -- all were delicious. One thing worth mentioning: we ordered spice level 1 out of 5, and it still had a solid kick. Definitely enough heat to keep you reaching for the next bite without being overwhelming. They also brought out complimentary egg rolls and wontons as appetizers, which was a nice surprise and a great way to start the meal. The restaurant itself is very casual with a simple, no-frills atmosphere that seems mainly focused on to-go orders rather than dine-in ambiance. That said, the food and friendly service were definitely the stars of the experience. Overall, really enjoyable dinner and I'm looking forward to coming back.
