We had a hankering for some good Pho, and since this place was close by, we tried it out. We've had Pho in both Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City, and of course there is nothing like the real thing in Vietnam. The place is relatively small, with about 12 tables. When we got there, we opted for a table along the wall. There was only one other table occupied, so I was happy that it was likely service would be good and fast (which it was). We were seated and provided menus to review and our server brought waters for us right away. The selections on the menu are wide and varied. Not only do they serve Pho and vermicelli dishes. but they also have a variety of fried rice, Chinese dishes (think orange chicken, sesame chicken, etc.). There is a small menu for kids as well. No beer or wine options, so we stuck with the water. We ordered some roast pork spring rolls, my wife ordered the Pho Tai Chin (rare eye round, steak and brisket) and I opted for the Pho Bo Vien (meatball). The spring rolls arrived quickly and were served with a cold peanut sauce. The sauce was not as thick as I've had at other restaurants, but it had decent flavor. The spring rolls were large and stuffed with noodles, lettuce, and roast pork pieces. The pork could have been sliced thinner, and it made for some extra chewing. I suspect they just use the roast pork from the grilled pork vermicelli. Our Pho arrived in large bowls along with a generous condiment plate of cilantro, sliced jalapeños, Thai basil, limes and beansprouts. There was chili crunch, soy sauce, Hoisin sauce, and Siracha available on the table as well. I tasted the broth before doctoring it and was a bit disappointed in the lack of real Pho broth flavor. I do make my own using a recipe I got while in Vietnam, and this was nowhere close to what I've made or have been served elsewhere in the past. It was weak, none of the cinnamon or star anise flavors, and I had to load it up with salt, white pepper, a generous amount of chili crunch, and even a bit of Siracha sauce. While it still didn't bring any of the true Pho broth flavor, it did make it more tasty. The bowl had chunks of meatballs, plenty of rice noodles, onion, and once I loaded up on the cilantro, basil, jalapeños, beansprouts and lime, I was ready to dig in. My wife agreed that the broth left a lot to be desired, and she didn't finish hers. She used the Hoisin to dip the meat into as it had little flavor otherwise. I ate most all of my bowl contents, but left most all of the broth (which I usually finish if it is good). Overall the experience was good. The service was great, the prices are comparable to most Pho places these days (I remember when I could get a bowl for $9.00 not too long ago instead of the $16 these days). Will we be back? Probably, but not for the Pho or any of the Chinese and Thai options on the back of the menu. I'd like to give their vermicelli a try. One recommendation: have an option for a smaller Pho serving size. I mentioned it to the server and he indicated that young people like the large servings... The shrimp spring rolls here are revolting. I wasn't expecting perfection but what I got was shameful. Mostly noodles, some limp shrimp, and soggy lettuce strips. That's it! No carrot or mint. The sauce separated somehow and was super watery on top. I couldn't get past two bites. My fiancé spit it out. It was that bad. I beg you - rethink your choices. It's not a difficult dish to execute and it's a staple on Vietnamese restaurants menus. You can't keep serving this. Excellent service, food, and value! I ordered pork egg rolls for the table (three of us, so a double order = 4). My mom and son ordered the homemade wonton soup and both really enjoyed it. Broth needed a touch of soy sauce though. I had the Vermicelli noodle bowl with pork and my son had the same. My mom went with the pan fried noodles with combo beef, chicken and shrimp. Everything was outstanding. This vermicelli bowl was fresh, crisp, light and flavorful. The dressing was light and just needed some spice so I added some siracha. Pork was marinated, tender and plentiful. We were so hungry so no photos of the egg rolls but they were homemade, and delicious! Crisp, filled with veggies like carrot, daikon and bean sprouts with ground pork and well seasoned. I wrapped mine in the accompanied lettuce leaves and dipped into the rice vinegar based sweet dipping sauce. Mom's combo pan fried noodles was huge and she barely came up for conversation enjoying every bite. My son tried a shrimp and said it was really fresh and the brown soy based sauce was well balanced. The restaurant is clean, well lit, but sounds tend to echo so nearby conversations are easily heard. The bench seats could use come cushions to help with comfort and sound. The owner is very attentive and we will be back soon! You'll pay at the register after dining. This was out second visit. read more

We ordered take away from PhoEver Diner. It's our first time ordering from here. The order arrived still hot, and a very pretty presentation. The bun beef had a good flavor. My husband liked the Mongolian beef as well. I was secretly wishing they had more rice options other than just steamed. The pork spring rolls were not good. No flavor to speak of, or herbs like it mentions on the description. The steam bun itself was hard. The meat inside had a good flavor. I was disappointed for sure though. Last evening, I ordered chicken fried rice and two crispy eggrolls online. My order was ready very quickly and the food was delicious. Their chicken fried rice is very fresh and tasty. It was a generous portion. The eggrolls are nice and crispy and tasted pretty good. They could use a little more meat, but they were pretty good, overall. The gentleman who gave me my order was very friendly and when I have dined inside the restaurant, I'm always treated very well, courteously and he always checks on me to make sure I'm happy. I think a lot of reviews on yelp are when this restaurant was owned by someone else. The service and the quality food is much better now, so if you were unhappy before, I would definitely recommend going back to give this restaurant a try again. read more

Been here twice there are some items on the menu we'll worth ordering and others I would not order again Not to order - wonton soup because I expected hand prepared wonton what I got was more of a potsticker dumpling sitting in a broth. For myself, I ordered the Sweet & Sour chicken, pork egg rolls and a cup of Won Ton Soup. When I got home with my order, I realized that the Hot & Sour was actually Egg Drop soup, and his pork spring roll was an order of shrimp spring rolls. He doesn't eat seafood... Fist time visit and did carry out. Restaurant was empty and no sign of any staff. Called out several times without a response and finally rang a bell and eventually a person appeared. There was a packaged order on the counter, which was mine. Not clue how long it was sitting there. Entrees chosen were Kung Po Beef, Stir Fry Chicken and Crispy Noodles with Vegetables. Kung Po Beef was passable and had a bit of spice. The other two entrees were not good. Stir Fry Chicken was supposed to have a brown sauce and it was noodles with cooked veggies- no sauce. Flavorless. The Crispy Noodles were in. Brown Bag and looked like a deep fried frisbee. Not appealing at all. Now we know. Veggies were bok choy, carrots and broccoli and heavily sauced. We got spring rolls and pho to go. The spring rolls were dry and chewy and full of lettuce. Not nearly like they were in the restaurant. The pho was good BUT they only gave us the meat for one bowl. We got all the vegetables. I notice they add a 20% tip on their to go orders. I would appreciate more attention to detail. Won't be getting spring rolls again. Not sure about pho now.
