What's to say......friendly service and very good Vietnamese food 5 minutes from home in Georgetown. Broth, noodles, meat and vegetables all fresh and flavorful. Not the best I have ever had but most certainly above average and definitely exceeded our expectations. Ok, if I was to find fault it would be that the French bread used for our Banh Mi was likely baked that morning if not the day prior. A bit dry, still good however! Previous reviewer mentions no peanut sauce. I asked and yes, they had it-was great! Fortunately I ordered in advance - "to go" as by the time I picked up my order all tables were full and the kitchen was backing up. We have been craving more ethnic restaurant options nearby and PhoEver is a welcome addition. read more

I walked here from my house; it was in front of my neighborhood, so I thought it would be interesting to come here and try the food. It was a quiet little place. I walked in, they greeted me. I looked at the menu and asked what pho the cashier recommended, and she told me "number one" which was the round eye steak pho, and so that's what I ordered. I payed her around 8 dollars and within 5 minutes a waiter brought the vegetables, and then a few minutes later, the pho. The first thing I did was put the fresh vegetables in, and then mix the pho. SO MANY NOODLES! A lot of good steak! It was really good, though the broth was a little bland, it was still just about perfect; if it was any more flavorful it would be harder to finish. It was hot and good overall, and very quick especially during these covid times. The only complaint is the mask enforcement, I had people sitting next to me coughing out towards me without a mask, not covering their mouth or anything, and no employee cared. They do not enforce wearing masks. The person in front of our party didn't have one. They also don't clean their menus after people use them. In terms of the food, the pho broth is a bit greasy and sweet. The meats I ordered were tough and my sister said the bo vien meatballs were not good. Their broth is flavorful but just not my taste. At the very least, the food came out quickly. As far as I know, there aren't many Vietnamese restaurants in Georgetown, so I can see why people would go here. i gave been getting the Vietnamese Spring Rolls for a while here, and they were not the best but they were ok. They had shredded carrots, vermicelli, cilantro and shrimp. Now they have raised the price and all you get is lettuce and the shrimp!! The sauce that comes with it also seems to have changed to less flavor! I don't think i will be coming back any time soon!! i also noticed their noodle dishes are up to $15.99 WOW!! These are sit down restaurants prices, not when you have to go up to the counter and order yourself and get an ice tea on styrofoam cups!! read more

Great place. Quick and very good quality. Family run and are great at explaining menu items. We have been coming now, once a week, for the last month. The pho is amazing. And my favorite is nicknamed the birds nests. Similar to beef, chicken, shrimp stir fry served on a nest of fried, crispy noodles. The teriyaki style sauce soaks into the noodles as you eat the stir fry and it ends up being an amazing pair. Big enough to share for sure. We will be back. read more

Growing up in the Bay Area I have had my fair share of pho. I have to say this place is on another level. I can't recall a time where I have enjoyed my food this much. My kids got fried rice and my wife and I both tried that as well and that was great too. I'm actually kinda sad that I have known this place exists for a few years and haven't tried it until now. The wife and I wanted to try PhoEver since it is closer to the house than Phonatic in Round Rock. I had the vermicelli with pork and the wife had vermicelli with chicken. Both were just OK. All in all I think Phonatic is much better. More variety in the vermicelli bowl - more lettuce, carrots and cucumbers and the pork is grilled. Don't ever leave reviews but I have to on this place. 1st location is not good for real pho lovers. Out of the way in gtown. Should picked a better location. 2. The meat pho broth is very greasy. Which means they don't wash their meat and bone for the broth and don't skim the fat off. Shows laziness. Flavor was ok. I'm a huge fan of pho and I'd rather go to Austin to eat better more flavorful pho. I might try it again to make sure I'm right on my review. I have a feeling I am. Some people who leave reviews should understand the food they order before leaving negative comments. My wife and I visited multiple times recently and were quite happy with our orders. Standard Chinese fare is fine, if not outstanding. Kung Pao, fried rice, appetizers and even The crispy fried noodles with beef was very good. It's not a preparation I've seen much, but it is good. The better choices, in our opinion, are the Vietnamese pho and noodle dishes. The beef pho Broth was very good, and the ingredients seemed very fresh. My recent beef noodles were very good as well. In the end, this is a casual dining restaurant with counter service. The food and service here is as good or better than similar restaurants of its type. Prices are realistic for the quality and freshness of the ingredients. Definitely worth a try! read more

Ordered 3 egg rolls, 2 #6 vermicelli w/shrimp, chicken, beef and lemon grass and a #1 pan fried noodle/w chicken or pork stir w/fresh vegetables served over a bed of crispy noodle or soft noodle ( their words off the menu we had) What we got with the #1was about a quart of wonton-like liquid and a Styrofoam container with maybe 2cups of vermicelli, a bunch of cilantro, a twig of something else AND a piece of raw meat, that could have been road kill, in a thin sandwich bag leaking juice into the styro container. I called them and asked just what I had and the female that answered told me that, lucky me, I got to prepare it myself..no instructions, a bloody piece of meat and nothing that seemed to match what I ordered. And she thought it was humorous. If I had wanted something to fix for my wife and I then I could have bought Chunking or whatever it was we used to eat.. Bottom line...PhoEver never again read more

THE COOK WEARS NO MASK!!!!My husband and I was so excited to find a pho place near us because we are huge pho fans. Based off the reviews we decided to give it a try. I did notice one person say the cook didn't wear a mask but I wanted to give them the benefit of the doubt. Well we ordered our food and I even gave a nice tip, but I could visibly see the cook wearing NO MASK. I told the woman I want to cancel my order because the young man is cooking our food with no mask. She says to me "Oh I can tell him to put on his mask" I told her No ma'am the fact that he is almost done cooking it defeats the purpose. She then says "Oh he just gets so comfortable and forgets to put it on" The fact that she didn't at least apologize and yet decided to make an excuse didn't sit well with me. I will not be going back to this establishment. It's a shame because I was really looking forward to trying out this place but the fact that I am pregnant, I refuse to take any chances.
