We've always enjoyed Thai Spoon. Can't believe I haven't reviewed a staple of our diet lol. I…read moreusually opt for the drunken noodle (which is amazing flat noodle dish with tons of veggies). But today I went with the Chef's special "Spaghetti Kee Mao". She was a spicy one, but oh so good! Can't say I ever had a bad dish here. Service has always been solid and friendly. The restaurant is well situated, clean and not overly noisy. This is one restaurant I hope to visit for years to come. Thank you Thai Spoon!!! They also have in house ice cream (mango, coconut and Thai tea). We tried coconut and mango which were superb. We will try the Thai tea next. Also able to order to go incase you are full as servings are quite large. We did make a reservation to accommodate an elderly in-law. They kept us a booth open despite us running a tad behind and some other customers try to take it. Very grateful!!

The drunken noodles were good however the spice level was a little off from what I expected. The crab rangoons were great I loved the texture of the wrapper and flavor of the filling! Mango sticky rice was on point! Will definitely be back soon!

I ordered the drunken noodles, papaya salad, shrimp spring rolls and beef larb. There were other customers who ordered ahead which is something I should have done. I was really hungry and it took about 25 minutes for the food to be prepared on a Saturday afternoon. They stayed pretty busy with customers who ordered ahead or ordered at the window so that was a good sign. I appreciate the shade they provide over the tables outside so you can enjoy your food. Keep you out of the Texas sun or rain. Food was fresh and hot. The spring rolls were ok. I am spoiled by other places who roll spring rolls tight. The drunken noodles were savory. Noodles were cooked on point and had the expected texture. The papaya salad was fresh and appetizing. I got a spice level of 3, but probably could have kicked it up one more notch to make it spicier. The beef larb was mouthwatering and tender. My little ones fought over the sticky rice. Overall, the food definitely was worth waiting for and hit the spot.

Hidden gem for sure. Not your typical menu, seems to be a fusion of sorts. So don't expect…read moretraditional Vietnamese items, it's more creative. Service was fast, friendly and welcoming. The inside was vey inviting and tastefully decorated. We had the Beef Bulgogi Bao, this was really yummy. The bao was soft and delightful. The beef had a sweet bulgogi glaze that worked really well with it. The rest of the toppings added a nice balance without overpowering the meat. My only wish was that it was 4 baos and not two since they are so small. The highlight was the Firecracker Shrimp. Be warned this is not a spicy dish like you might think from the name. The crispy shrimp was crunchy and not soggy at all, it felt pretty clean and not greasy. It came with salad, rice and a spicy soy sauce and it was just so good. With 12 shrimp, it's definitely shareable between 2 people. Lastly we had the Vietnamese iced coffee which was $6. It tasted like Ovaltine and was mostly ice with just a few sips. I wouldn't recommend it unless the cup size is increased or the price is decreased. So overall, it's a bit pricey. The menu was also a little confusing. We checked online prior to coming and they had a lot of stuff but when at the restaurant, there were only a few items listed which caught us off guard. We actually ended up ordering the wrong item (firecracker shrimp when we actually wanted dynamite shrimp, ultimately it worked out cuz it was delicious but the problem still stands). So those are the only cons I can think off. Other than that, The place was fantastic. Did not think Hutto would have a place of this caliber. We will be back to try the rest of the items, it all looked so good. Definitely will be a repeat customer. 4.5 stars rounded up for now.

I'm from San Francisco and travel to New York monthly for work, so I'd consider myself a bit of a foodie, and this place delivered. Austin really needs more Asian street food spots like this. We were honestly shocked to find something this good in Hutto of all places. The staff was also incredibly kind and welcoming to our two toddlers, which made the experience even better. The food came out quickly and everything we tried was delicious. Definitely worth a 5-star.

This is one of the best pho places outside of our home cooked pho. I always get the Wagyu pho…read morewhere they have a special "expert" person who is not the waitstaff hand pour over the pho broth into the bowl. The meat was tender and savory. The both is light and smooth but still with flavor. This time I went with a buddy who is Vegetarian. He ordered the vegetarian pho and gave it his seal of approval for tastiness. I definitely recommend for those how happen to wonder out to north Austin/Pfluferville

TL;DR, good food, too noisy atmosphere, wouldn't come back due to that alone…read more Long version: We chose this place because they have a vegan pho (very hard to find since pho is inherently just not vegan lol-the bone broth is what makes it pho and not soup so this is a rare find!). The food was fast and tasted good. I got the shrimp pho (not vegan) and my partner got the vegan pho with "raw" tofu (it said it came fried and we both hate deepfried tofu, so we appreciate they did that for us ). The waitress checked on us several times. That said, I would not come back here. The noise level was horrendous. The constant scraping of metal chairs on concrete and the echo chamber the tall blank walls and bare metal ceiling causes was equivalent to nails on a chalkboard for the whole meal. Additionally , the music volume was SO high. I think someone went up to talk to them About the noise and the employee just looked like he didn't care , wouldn't look at her and just kept shrugging and making a "what can you do face". I almost asked them to turn the music down too but instead wore noise canceling AirPods my whole meal :-/ it was not an enjoyable experience to be honest and canceled out the other positives i mentioned. Hope they do something about the scrapping chairs in the future. Idk-put rubber caps on them all and have extra to replace them as they inevitably fall off???

Truly horrendous service and quality. Don't waste your time or money…read more Placed an online order for pickup, which was to take 30 minutes to be ready. Got there right on time, but it seemed they hadn't even started my order yet. As I waited, I was left confused by the interior. The place was completely empty except for one person working the register. All the tables and chairs had been pushed and piled together to one side and there were a bunch of boxes stacked towards the back of the room. The floor was filthy. There were also employees going back-and-forth yelling at one another pretty regularly. I don't know how they would expect anyone to want to dine in with that atmosphere. I finally received my to go order and made the trek home. There I realized there was no rice for our entrees. I called to see if we could get a partial refund due to the error. They argued with me for 5 minutes - not claiming that they gave me rice, but that it shouldn't matter and that I shouldn't get a refund. Then they said they'd have to ask the manager. They set the phone down and had me listening to yelling for a while. No refund, no accountability. On top of this experience, the food was not great. I won't pretend it was terrible, but nothing special and certainly not worth the experience and errors in putting an order together. The lo mein was bland and a bit dry. The lettuce wraps lacked flavor though the lettuce was fresh. The hot and sour soup also wasn't as flavorful as expected and did not have any heat to it. Ribs were decent, but wings dry and overcooked. I am shocked by the response to what seems like a reasonable request. I paid for something I didn't get and felt I should've gotten a partial refund. During the conversation, I asked if they were interested in trying to retain me as a customer and they weren't. That's fine. Plenty of other places in the area to take my business.

Funnily enough, I couldn't really tell which was which! I assumed the orange colored one is the Orange Chicken but the other had that orange peel aroma so who knows. Love that they offer free delivery within a 4 mile radius (order directly from their website, skip the apps). Definitely adding this spot to my regular lunch rotation. Excited to try more dishes soon!
