A9. Chicken Wings
Chrissy N.

I am a big supporter of Chada Thai however; we're disappointed during this visit. Looks like they remodeled place with new wall colors and new table setups. New looking menu however the dishes on the menu is still the same and the price can't be beat! The Pad Thai (4/5) is good but it's on the sweet and wet side. It's fusion so don't expect traditional flavor. We still like it! :-) I was craving for Papaya salad (3/5) so that's what we came here for and that's what we ordered. The ingredients in this dish was very fresh but it lacked the Thai flavor I was looking for; I think I was looking for the pungent fish sauce flavor which I sadly did not get from this dish. Chicken wings (3/5) was crispy. Dry type of wings but still juicy on the inside once you bite into the dry exterior. The wings were tossed in a flavorful salt and pepper type of mix. It comes with sweet and sour dipping sauce which I did not care much for; however given the wings are dry, it needs this dip to balance the dish. It's hard to find Khao Soi (3/5) here in texas so when I saw this on the menu, I was very excited. The dish came out looking amazing, unfortunately the flavor did not live up to its first impression. The Khao Soi I'm used to typically comes with pickled greens but the Khao Soi here did not have it. The broth was also lacking the fish sauce umami flavor. I really want to keep coming here but at this rate, I'm going to have to try other Thai restos in the area. Props to Chada for keeping the price low despite the current high cost and economic condition. Take my review with the grain of salt; I would still encourage you to visit Chada and try it out for yourself.

C4. Panang Curry

Ordered the Panang curry to-go and was very satisfied. The portion was generous, plenty of rice and curry, and the curry itself was everything you want: perfectly spicy, packed with flavor, and that ideal consistency that's thick but not heavy. Hit the spot on a cloudy day!!

Amazing job for Laos papaya salad Best chef

Came here and ordered for pick up. I love curry and usually just get the same thing everywhere I go. First off. Service was great. Friendly and helpful. Can't speak of the actual restaurant as I just waited in the front. I got the curry and wings. Curry was good, a little different than I am used to but it wasn't exactly "Red Curry". The rice was pretty dry but edible. The wings were tasty but super dry, whatever the rub or seasoning they use is bomb. If I was to go back I'm sure I'd just stick to the curry. Anyway for the most part pretty good.

Slow Cooked Beef- AMAZINGLY GOOD!!

This is our favorite Thai restaurant- we have been fans for 10 years, now. The quality and taste of the food has never wavered. This is truly the most flavorful Thai food in the Austin metro. The service is always fast and friendly! Great ambiance; they have recently remodeled.

House fried R1 House Fri Rice

My review is just for the house fried rice and Tom Kha soup. I'm usually a regular at Thai Lada but decided to branch out a bit for dinner this evening. The house fried rice was pretty underwhelming. Almost no color to it, very few veggies (almost thought I had mistakenly ordered the basil fried rice) and very bland. Thankfully I had a side of pepper oil and it added a bit of much needed flavor. The only pro is for the price it was a fairly large serving, and I'll have plenty for more meals during the week. Overall:3/5 The Tom Kha soup was pretty good, and portion size very satisfying even for the smallest option. Nothing too out of the norm here, just standard tasty soup. Overall: 4/5 Would I order food from here again? Eh, I think I've had better at other Thai places in the Austin area. I'll maybe give this place another try with some of their curries next. Flavor: 3.5/5 Price: 3.5/5 Value: 3/5

Crab fried rice

Great Thai food location by a large movie theater. We ordered the pad Thai and crab fried rice and both were great! The flavors at this restaurant are different from most Thai places and I really enjoy it. I wouldn't say the flavors are like what we had experienced in Thailand but much better than the typical Thai food you get. This is our new local Thai go to! Restaurant is small but nice, wait staff is super friendly and they have great take out! Overall highly recommend!

May I take your order?

I've been coming here since it opened, and I've always been impressed by the consistency and prices. The staff is always very friendly and efficient. The register is one of those fancy computers that emails the receipt...so you can be ecologically friendly, keeping the liberals happy. There are different levels of spice that you can order...everything from bland to the kind of spice that burns you twice.

I was really excited to see they had khao soi gai which I really like and find it hard to find. Theirs was tasty with a rich and pretty reasonably priced. We also had a Tom Yum which was very tangy with strong lemongrass flavor and my partner had the Pad Kee Mao which was also good. The ambience is casual and I think this is a great spot for Thai food in the Cedae Park area.

They have spice levels 1-10 which was nice, I got a spice level of 4 for my curry and 8 for the fried rice and it was good. I also got the try their mango sticky rice which was sooo good. The service was great and we were able to be seated immediately for a party of 4 on a sunday night.

Yelp fam, I finally made it over to Lemongrass by Sip Saam Thai for lunch, and let me tell you…read more.. this was one of those meals where you look at the bill afterward and go, "Whew... okay, so we're doing fine dining prices at lunchtime now." My partner and I spent just over $100 for lunch, and while some dishes hit the mark, others left me wanting a little more of that classic Thai punch. Tom Yum Soup (Shrimp, Hot Pot Style) I'm particular about Tom Yum -- like, very particular -- because when it's done right, it's one of the most aromatic, layered soups out there. Traditionally, you should get that unmistakable hit of lemongrass, kaffir lime leaf, galangal, and the brightness of lime juice all dancing together. This version was good, but it didn't quite give me the lemongrass-forward aroma I expect. I also didn't catch the bamboo shoots that usually round out the texture. The broth had heat (I ordered a 6), and the shrimp were cooked well, but the depth of flavor wasn't as bold or herbaceous as I'm used to. Still enjoyable -- just not the Tom Yum I measure all others against. Crab Fried Rice (Spicy 6) Now this was the star of the table. Plenty of crab -- and I mean throughout the rice, not just sprinkled on top for decoration. The rice itself was smooth and well‑fried, not greasy, with each grain separate (as it should be). The white and green onions added that perfect little punch of freshness and bite. This is one of those dishes where you keep going back for "just one more bite" even though you know you're full. If you come here, this is the dish I'd recommend without hesitation. Pineapple Curry (Beef, Spicy 5) The curry had a nice balance of sweet and savory, and the beef was tender. I didn't get the same "wow" factor as the fried rice, but it was solid. The spice level was accurate -- a 5 gave enough heat to keep things interesting without overpowering the coconut base. Fried Dumplings Crispy, hot, and exactly what you expect from fried dumplings. Nothing groundbreaking, but nothing wrong either. J. Lohr Chardonnay A smooth pour and a generous one. I wasn't mad at it. Overall, service was friendly and the food came out quickly. The space itself is clean and modern, and it's a nice spot for a casual lunch date. Just know that the prices lean more "weekend dinner" than "weekday lunch." There were some hits, some misses, but overall a good experience. The crab fried rice alone might bring me back. The Tom Yum needs a little more lemongrass love, but everything was fresh and well‑prepared. If you're in Cedar Park and craving Thai, this spot is worth a visit -- just be prepared for the price tag. #supportlocal

We got the Calamari, Salmon Bowl(she got 2x broccoli for the side, rice), and BBQ combo (chicken, short rib, beef, white rice, macaroni, grilled pineapple). My sister's go to is the Salmon and I haven't heard a single complaint the last 3x she got it(4th time today). The BBQ combo was soooo good, would definitely order again! In order of my meal i'd rank it 1. Short rib 2. Beef 3. Chicken for flavor. I don't like macaroni salad in general so I gave it to my mom who loved it so I'll take her word for it:) The waitress was attentive and helpful (I asked her if the flowers were edible and she was back super quick with a no) Will be back very soon with an appetite because after we pulled out we realized there's a drive through. It has been one of my favorite Vietnamese restaurants-and one of the only places to serve the Vietnamese pancake that I love. I sat down, getting ready to contemplate the menu. I was shocked to see it was a brand new menu. I asked my server about it, and he concurred that it is a new menu, but that the owners had taken many of the former choices off. . NO more fried rice-always my grandson's favorite. Although I was disappointed when it was time to order, I chose the Mixed Protein Bun. I requested shrimp and eggrolls. It is a bowl filled with rice noodles, shredded lettuce, cucumbers, shredded carrots, and your choice of protein. It also comes with a generous portion of fish sauce. After one bite, I knew that the old chef must have left. My food was so bland. To start with, I don't think it was salted at all..... which quite often affects the flavors negatively. There were no other spices or sauce or anything tasty in my bowl. I was very disappointed. I didn't even eat a quarter of the Bun. I didn't take the rest to go and I won't be returning, unless I see that they have returned to their former style of cooking. So I'll definitely be watching the reviews. It makes me very sad to have to write a negative review, especially about a place. I have enjoyed so much in the past!!!

Best boat noodle soup in town!…read more There aren't a lot of local Thai restaurants who serve this specific dish. Having traveled to Thailand numerous times in the past, boat noodle soup is one of my absolute favorite Thai dishes. This is one spot that I have consistently returned for their boat noodle soup. I will say though, that I have noticed the quantity of their dishes have gone down a little over the years, which I imagine is to be expected given inflation these days. It's a Thai family-owned restaurant, and the dishes are in my opinion, authentic. Well, at least the boat noodle soup is. I have tried the typical fried noodle dishes here as well (think pad thai, pad see ew etc.) and they are all really delicious. It's one legit Thai restaurant I would highly recommend to friends and family to visit. I came here last week for lunch and saw that they have lunch specials during weekdays. Staff is attentive and accommodating. The interior of the restaurant is clean and inviting. They even had fresh roses at every table, which I thought was a really nice touch. They also have an outdoor patio if you would like to sit outside, overlooking the road. I can't imagine sitting outside now during this summer weather we are having but definitely for cooler months. Parking is easy and free. Go hungry.
