I will change my review is the next time is better. This is the ONLY Thai restaurant we ever want to eat at. It's the best around. We have eaten there no less than 12x and it's been great service and great food. We took out of town guests to eat (total of 6) and had a new server (we always have the same awesome server - I think his name is Carlos. This time it was someone different. He was polite and everything started out fine. When we ordered, we asked for some sauces for when our food came out (so they wouldn't have to make an extra trip to the kitchen). When our food came, there were no sauces and we also needed water so we requested both and he said sure. 20 minutes past still, no sauce, and we are now very thirsty so one of the people from our party goes inside to look for a server to help. Our server was inside and told our guest that he was very busy, which is why he hadn't come out with water or the sauce. By the time he came out (still no sauces but he had water). we were done with our meal and I asked for the check. The spicy food and lack of water made it un enjoyable for our guests. There was an automatic 20% gratuity added for a large party which makes me wonder if that's why they were completely inattentive to us because the tip was "guaranteed." This put a really bad taste in my mouth because the experience was nowhere close to what we are used to receiving at this restaurant and this time it was with guests. On another note, I ordered some thing that I never have before, but everything we've ever ordered at this place has been incredible so I was not afraid to try it. It was these tiny short pork ribs that were a heat level five. The portion was smaller than an appetizer and they were not tender nor had great flavor. I give this dish one star and would not recommend it. The food portions at Saps are large and we can never finish, and take to go for lunch the next day, so to see an entrée this tiny was very surprising. Quite frankly, I'm disappointed. I love pad Thai and theirs didn't hit the mark. I don't think that I have ever said that about a pad Thai dish in the past. My husband said his green curry dish was just okay. My girlfriend got the dry wings (waterfall?) and larb rolls. We were surprised that the rolls were fried instead of cold. They were also just okay. The wings were the only thing that we all agreed had great flavor. For all the Thai options in the area, there's got to be better. Service was par. Came here for dinner with a few girlfriends. Happy hour was from 4-7pm with one of the best prices in town. $5.00 off any cocktail and a few dollars off of selected appetizers. We stopped here on a Sunday and they were pretty busy but seated us fairly quickly. The pad Kee Mao had a perfect balance of spice and sweetness. You could definitely taste the fresh basil. The noodles were also perfectly chewy and cooked right. The Panang curry was also really tasty and had the right amount of richness and heat. We got it with chicken and the whole dish paired really nicely with the rice. The service was attentive with a warm atmosphere, it is a great restaurant for either a casual meal or night out. Unfortunately, we can no longer recommend this restaurant. We have visited twice since their rebrand/menu change. The new papaya salad is nothing special and we dearly miss the pickled crab that they used to add. My partner had gotten his usual Pad Woonsen but did not like the new version. Today he tried the fried rice which he also did not like. He believes the quality of their pork has gone down and both items were overall lacking flavor. The "NS1 Guay Teaw Nuer Sod And Meatballs" was actually really good the first time we came, but on today's visit, the broth lacked depth in flavor and there were no meatballs! I even got gaslit about them not including meatballs but it's... in the title and description of the item... We went to Super Sap last night with our kids, but unfortunately, they seem to have changed their recipes. We ordered our usual -- Pad Thai and stir-fried vegetables. The Pad Thai was much too sweet and the noodles were overly chewy. The vegetables tasted okay, but they felt very basic and cheap compared to before, and the presentation used to look much nicer and more polished. Even my kids noticed the difference and no longer enjoyed the food. This used to be our favorite Thai place because their dishes stood out from the rest, but now it feels just like any other. Hats off to the Madam Mam and Saps empire; despite their split, at least we have two great sets of Thai restaurants now, and they don't skimp on the spice--they go up to 40 ! Here's what we got: **Chicken Satay ($12):** Generously portioned and moist, the chicken satay was a delight. The accompanying sauce, pickles, and toast rounded out the appetizer nicely. **Pad Kra Pao ($17):** Served with ground pork and a generous helping of Thai basil, this dish didn't hold back on the Thai peppers and came with two perfectly runny eggs. **Three Kings Chicken ($24):** This was our least favorite, mainly because I'm more accustomed to bone-in chicken. However, I appreciated the variety in the "Three Ways" presentation. The steamed chicken was a bit bland, though the scallion oil sauce helped. The fried chicken was crispy and juicy, paired with a sweet and sour sauce. The grilled chicken was flavorful, reminiscent of teriyaki. The rice and side soup were very tasty. While $24 might seem steep, the portion size was substantial. Overall, all dishes were enjoyable. Service-wise. For those who grew up in Austin, Madam Mams was a beloved spot on Guadalupe, though I feel the quality has declined over the years. They have a full bar and even a sushi menu, although we didn't try the sushi since we visited on Christmas Eve and opted for Thai food instead. We ordered Drunken Noodles (Pad Kee Mao), a pork belly dish, spring rolls, and papaya salad. -When trying a new Thai restaurant, my go-to is always to start with the papaya salad to gauge the authenticity of the menu. A good papaya salad strikes a balance between fish sauce and palm sugar, and this one definitely hit the mark. -The noodles in the Pad Kee Mao were slightly overcooked. - The pork belly dish was fantastic and featured an authentic Thai sauce. -The spring rolls were not rolled tightly and fell apart easily but peanut sauce was delicious. The prices were a bit high, and the portions were on the smaller side. While I understand that rising economic costs play a role, there are other decent Thai restaurants in the area that offer larger portions at more affordable prices. We used to come to Super Sap's often and were always happy with the experience, but unfortunately, our last visit was disappointing. We had a reservation for 7:00 PM and arrived at 7:07. A new hostess greeted us rather rudely -- she started scolding us for being "late," as if we were children, even though it was just a 7-minute delay. That created an unpleasant first impression. Then we had to wait over an hour for our food, which was surprising since the restaurant wasn't even that busy. The service used to be much better here. Just tasted like sweet coconut milk with some lemon juice as a background note. No fish sauce/lemongrass/kefir lime/tamarind notes. I added some rice to give it some body, as it was very thin...and it had large pieces of mushroom cut into chunks like a potato. Very strange. The Shrimp in a Blanket were also barely ok. The shrimp was obviously cooked frozen and recooked - tough and fishy tasting. The wrapper was crisp and the sauce was tasty but the filling had an unpleasant after taste. I've had four "okay" dishes here. Not the worst Thai I've ever had but certainly not in the top 50% either. The atmosphere is very inviting and have had great times meeting tables next to us. Tonight I sat at the bar and had this beautiful chicken satay appetizer and a glass of pino noir. About 85% was the flat noodles, 10% was chicken and 5% vegetables all this for $15. Not worth the money. It tasted OK but there was nothing special about it. So I decided to end the meal with one of my favorites, sweet, sticky rice with taro custard. When they first brought it out, it did not look pretty at all. Compared to the other Thai places, the omelette here wasn't crispy enough for me and not enough pork filling. Flavor was good, I enjoyed their Thai tea and the way it was served. Made with shrimp, fresh herbs, spices, and aromatic ingredients, Tom Yum soup is considered one of the healthiest dishes in Thailand. This soup was spicy (as requested, level 3), but it wasn't rested. It was as if the spicy broth was sitting, and then the proteins and veggies were added and brought to the table a few minutes after they were dropped into the broth. For those looking for a more balanced Tom Yum may want to look elsewhere. Chicken Satay These apps of grilled chicken skewers marinated with spices and served with peanut sauce were enough to share offering two skewers per person. The sweet, pungent marinade for these chicken satays includes fish sauce, lemongrass, sugar, lime, and turmeric. These were simple and light and def. worth ordering again. Aside from these items, we ordered a green curry, vino, and a mixed drink. The service here was friendly and prompt. The food came out in a timely manner and was accurate. I visited Super Sap's with someone who has spent months in Thailand. The impression was underwhelming however great their spectacle. From the moment you're lucky enough to find parking until the moment you leave, you'll love the ambiance. The patio courtyard greets you with live guitar at dinner time. The interior is chic with modern flairs. Staff is neat, the bar is pretty. It's an attractive venue. Sitting at the bar lended itself to chatting with staff who were nice but overly apologetic for the rush. Then came the food. The food is bland. That's perfectly accurate. Our two dishes, pad Thai and a second noodle dish tasted the same. The pad Thai was even the color of bland - potato beige. It was entirely covered by egg which isn't unusual or bad, but the egg needs to taste like something. The dish needs to taste like something. The house made chili sauce was a life saver, but I shouldn't need a life saver. Pad Thai, and Thai food in general, are a delicate balance of savory, sweet, spicy, and funky. Everything here tasted beige. However, the cocktails are an entirely different story. If these are house made them the mixologist deserves a raise. The drinks labeled Thai Mixology are creative, refreshing, and well balanced. They stole and saved the show, however overly expensive they are at $15 per drink. You will be paying downtown prices for drinks here in suburban Cedar Park. All in all, I would go back to try more cocktails. I might give another entrée a shot, but I'm in no rush. read more

I stopped by here for a date night with my husband on a Saturday evening. The restaurant wasn't too busy and had really great ambiance. They offer both indoor and outdoor seating. We ordered salads as entree. I really enjoyed my papaya salad however it was pretty spicy and not customizable. My husband was really disappointed with his catfish salad as there wasn't any real catfish more just crispy flakes for $25. The staff was really friendly and worked with us to find something else on the menu he would like. I will say they are a little pricey for Thai food. There are many more affordable options in the area. I really wanted to love this place but it was missing the mark for me. Still a solid choice if you're looking to try something new. read more

We were looking for a dog friendly restaurant for lunch the other day and found this place. Glad we did! It's a modern Thai restaurant with a nice outdoor patio, slightly higher than average prices but not too crazy. We ordered the following: Pineapple fried rice: comes with a spicy sauce to pour over it. I was surprised that this was actually more flavorful than some other versions I've tried. Red curry: ordered with a 2/5 spice.. maybe 3? Either way it was a bit too spicy for me. Buuuut even so it was pretty good over rice! Pad Thai: interestingly served covered by a scrambled egg. Friend ordered it with 8/5 spice (!!!) . Seemed like she enjoyed it but I just can't handle hah. Overall I was pleasantly surprised and would totally return. Not a ton of options for Thai restaurants with outdoor, dog friendly, seating... So that's a nice touch too! read more
