FABULOUS I first came here for a Yelp Event. Never heard of this place. Was such a great night, wonderful introductory to Pickledilly's up stairs. Now my experience outside of a Yelp Event. Thursday around 4pm. I decided to check out Pickledilly's as a full menu and bar. I sat at the bar. Wasn't busy at all. My bartender, Jared came over. Asked if I needed a menu, I said, yes please and a cocktail menu, which he said cocktails are towards the back of the menu. Looked over the cocktails. I'm a vodka drinker. And the cocktails with vodka were limited. I asked if he could make a mojito, which is made with rim. And he asked how to make it. And I was like it's a little rum, mint leaves, something, sprite, maybe simple syrup. I don't know. Honestly I don't make them. I think he looked it up. And presented me his masterpiece. And seriously it was like one of my top 3 favorite mojitos! You did good Jared. Thank you so much. I placed my meal order. Jared did give some recommendations. Which I totally appreciated but once I saw the words Jerk Chicken. I was like, yes, that's what I'm getting. Haven't had a really good jerk chicken in a while. Honestly I would love to eat my way through the menu, cause it all looks good. Fish, crab cakes, pasta. At the event there were samplings of fried cauliflower, which was really good, one of my favorites. I didn't think I could handle an app and a meal. So I skipped it this time. Maybe next time though. Fried Cauliflower are really great. When my plate arrived, you could smell it. Like tangy and chard at the same time. Loved the coloring of the chard chicken. Chicken was super juicy, tender, just melted in your mouth. Nice chard flavor, loved it. And the bedding the chicken was placed on, so good. Mango butter gave it a sweet flavor, the chard chicken gave it a savory flavor, just a great compliment to 2 opposite flavors. Sautéed cabbage and a plantain sauce. Just a beautiful plate of food. Very satisfied. It was filling, and flavorful. Will come back again for sure. Like I said, would love to eat my way through the menu. read more

We enjoyed our first experience here and will return. We stopped by on a weeknight. While the pickle ball courts were full, the restaurant was mostly empty. Didn't bother us - just got more attention from the staff! We ordered an Old Fashioned, adult grilled cheese, quesadilla and kids Mac n cheese. All three were delicious and I would gladly go back for more! The chef even came out and talked about his secret ingredient in the grilled cheese. The seating area, presentation and food quality were all well above what one would typically expect from the restaurant of a sporting place. And the views of people playing were great! read more

Yep, I came back for more. This place continues to deliver great experiences for me. Ordered beef sliders, fries, and chicken wings. All were delicious. The chicken wings were a new try this time. Juicy, flavorful, and big. 6 wings for $9 during their happy hour is reasonable. The quality is the best. Fast service and very little wait. There was only one other group there when I went. I was travelling and missed the YEE here. I did read all the 5-star reviews from the distinguished Elites, so we were excited to try Pickledilly's. To quote my Yelp bud, "Run, don't walk, to get to Pickledilly's". I totally agree with their About Us description on their website: PickleDilly's is a scratch kitchen and bar tucked inside Apex Pickleball Club in Cedar Park -- but don't let the address fool you. This isn't club food. Executive Chef Ron Matty runs the kitchen the way it should be run: fresh ingredients, real technique, nothing out of a bag. Stocks simmered down from bones. Sauces built from scratch every morning. Bread, dressings, marinades -- all made in-house, every day. The menu reads simple. The execution is anything but. Our experience began with a perfect Bulleit Rye Whiskey Old Fashion and a craft Paloma. They do have a full bar and some righteous specialty cocktails. Beer drinkers, they have you covered with a wide selection of local craft beers. Our App was their golden-fried organic cauliflower florets. They were perfectly fried and dusted with herbed, seasoned breadcrumbs on a bed of tarragon aioli. My entree was their Jamaican Jerk Chicken. The chicken was served moist and perfectly jerky spiced. Plus 1 ordered their Short Rib Quesadilla. OMG!!! Braised short rib tortillas are served with poblano chili, cheese peppers, cheddar and jack cheese, jalapenos, pickle de gallo, and pickled veggies. The short ribs were braised to perfection, and the accompaniments just added to this delightful entree. Have I gushed enough? Almost! You have to check out their HH menu. Check out the photo. I've been here twice now and the food has never disappointed me. Last night I had the Jerk Chicken. It was a lite but filling meal. The herbs and spices were a delight to my taste buds. The Sautéed cabbage and carrots were tendered just right adding to the flavor of the chicken. The service was fast and helpful. Surprisingly good food for inside a pickleball spot. I enjoyed the quesadillas but they were a bit too greasy. I think sour cream would be an awesome addition. Lots of seating and everything was clean. You can watch the players downstairs as you eat. The server we had was very friendly and helpful. read more

Pickle Dilly is a nice little rooftop bar where guests can come take a break, socialize, or have events. Located on the second floor of the Apex Complex, which is spacious and filled with numerous Pickleball courts. Pickledilly's hosted our most recent Yelp Elite event. I loved the booths and the way the staff greeted us and made us feel welcomed throughout the event. Felt like I was back at SXSW. Enjoyed the variety of finger foods (The Banh Mi was my favorite- definitely authentic if I'd say so!) and dessert. Not sure if I'd ever have the time to commit to a Pickleball membership but I'd be open to coming back! read more

Let me tell you.... As an avid pickle eater & non-pickle ball player, don't be afraid to come! The food, drinks & service is absolutely amazing! Tyler was our server & he SERVED up some great recommendations like the pickle chips, pickle dip, sliders, quesadillas & ham grilled cheese. Although the Pickle-Colada (non-alcoholic) does not come with pickles, when I asked if they would add pickles on top for my next time, they said they could. Run, don't walk, to get to Pickledilly's. You do not have to bring a pickleball racket. You can stay in your street clothes. But if you want to wear athletic gear, That will be completely cool with the maitre d'. * * * Pickledilly's is an amazing concept. It is French Laundry caliber distinguished American cuisine Served at the snack bar of a pickleball complex. Most gym snack bars offer a dreary mix of smoothies, indifferent hamburgers, iceberg lettuce salads and beers. Fancier ones offer chicken wings. The Apex Pickleball people who own the complex asked themselves What if the food at our snack bar was destination food? So they hired a distinguished chef from California and had him create the greatest sports bar menu ever. 2/3 of the menu is classic versions of traditional American cuisine presented at a level of professional polish and magnificent raw ingredient selection that you rarely see in Austin in other settings. The standard dishes include such items as Hamburgers, Nachos, Hanger Steaks, Crab Cakes, Salad Nicoise, Fried Chicken, and Bahn Mi. International dishes that Americans love definitely show up on the menu. One third of the menu is kinky funky originals that the cook made up himself. (Or his team made up. He has an outstanding team working for him.) The regular menu is more like 80-20 Normal-Weird. Buffets and Special Occasions push more to 40-60 Normal-Weird. So if you like innovative eating, come for the buffets and special occasions. (There are many.) If you want to marvel at magnificent execution on dishes you know well, come on a regular day. You can't go wrong either way. * * * I got a wonderful dose of the special menu at a custom catered Yelp event at Pickledilly's. I got a wonderful dose of goes for normal here at a regular Sunday lunch. Everything I have had was outstanding. I will mention three absolute stand-outs. a) They have a full bar here with a significant number of custom designed drinks and a good collection of regular bottles. If you are here to drink - which is a fine idea - they offer their custom Deez Nutz as a bar snack. Deez Nutz are simply the finest bar snack ever invented period stop. If you want to fill up they have nachos and burgers and hot dogs and all that. But for just snacking - the Deez Nutz are as satisfying as heroin ... but you don't pass out and you don't have to go into rehab when you are done. This could be the best addiction you will ever get - since there is no health downside. b) This is a rare offering because it only shows up on some catered menus. Lavender Custard. An absolute positive no ifs ands or buts world-stopper. c) This is a regular offering you can get whenever you want. The Salad Nicoise. This is simply the finest verstion of Salad Nicoise I have ever had ... And I eat a lot of Salad Nicoise. In France, I shovel it down. I eat it at home. It grabs my attention on any U.S. menu where I see it. The Pickledilly version has sushi quality ahi tuna, magnificently cooked to a perfect rare. It is coated in the chef's Dynamite Spice Mix. They would be happy to sell you a can of the chef's Dynamite Spice Mix. If you broil or saute any of your food, you want it. Add really good Kalamata Olives. These are picked for not being particularly heavy tasting but they have a good kick that grabs your attention. Add perfectly sauteed French-style potatoes. Add the only good Hearts of Palm I have ever found in the US. Where the hell did the chef find that one? Canned Hearts of Palm are almost always an abomination. In Brazil, Hearts of Palm are good - but that is often because they are fresh and purchased in the produce section of a local market. I don't think Pickledilly has access to fresh Hearts of Palm unless they have a secret greenhouse in one of the storage sheds in the back. But whoever cans those Hearts of Palm is a canning wizard. Flesh it out with a few more support ingredients. Put a perfect vinaigrette on top. (The chef argues that the secret of the vinaigrette is picking exactly the right vinegar and exactly the right olive oil. He will be happy to tell you what those perfect choices are. He will also tell you what to add. Garlic and shallots just for a start. * * * Prices are higher than your normal snack bar but not as high as suck-the-bucks-out-of-your-wallet Nouveau American prices can be. This is a totally affordable treat. If you like to play pickleball, the courts downstairs are first rate. If you like to watch pickleball, there are huge windows all over the restaurant that allow you to look down from above and see the players on the courts. If you don't give a d**n about pickleball (Samuel C. does not give a d**n about pickleball) The food is such a major destination that it is worth coming here anyway. I don't live anywhere remotely near Cedar Park. But I am thinking long and hard about when I can make another excuse to get up here. The food is THAT good. read more

You don't have to be a member (or play pickleball) to come enjoy the offerings at this nice upstairs bar/eatery ..though the courts are amazingly soft and springy! My first visit was being invited to a "pickleball party" here where I was able to sample some of the offerings and a couple of my favorites were the crab cake bites and the lovely charcuterie board! The D-Willy Mule was my drink of choice ..very nice. Can't wait to come play and eat again! read more

Food and service was top notch !! Went upstairs to eat after enjoying 2 hours of pickleball. We enjoyed crispy chicken and burger sliders, parmesan fries with pickle ketchup some deliciously crisp Brussel sprouts seasoned just right. We tried a few desserts and all were delicious. (really loved the espresso crème brûlée ) The drinks were on point and there was something for everyone. We were served raw chicken with the boneless buffalo wings. We asked to speak to the manager who didn't come over right away. He was at the bar. We let him know that we had both eaten a few pieces before I had to spit out the 3rd piece once I realized it was raw. He said "well it comes frozen so it should be ok." We told him it is still completely raw. Very disappointed. It was our first time and we so wanted to like this place. We will not be back. Was excited in anticipation of a group lunch after viewing the menu and hearing good things! Restaurant on the second floor overlooking the courts on either side. Was like eating in a gymnasium. There was so much noise very difficult to hear others at the table! They have been notified previously, but they assigned only one server. There were other servers taking care of another party. Although orders were taken in batches as meals appeared, the server did not instruct. Or have written down where individual meals or appetizers went. Frequently meals and appetizers from a separate table/group came to us and vice versa. Two of my tables meals went to people ordered the same thing but ordered later. Once food was out server, never asked how the meals were or if there were any problems. Food description, and price should've been high-end, but was not! Cauliflower appetizer was very popular, but These, the fries and the Sweet potato fries very good but Seasoning was Patchy with some areas of too much salt. Most ordered the turkey , bahn mi and burger. They were OK... Burger was dry... Not worth the price as nothing special nor gourmet! The red fish is pictured with a nice crispy skin, but the actual serving was soggy skin side down. The fish was good but served with routine tartar sauce and beans. Sorry, but this was poor presentation. Good but not great and certainly a plate of fish on top of beans was not worth $30 by the time tax and tip were added! Unlikely to try again. read more

My sister and I are both retired and we like to find new and different places to nosh. This was in a new pickleball facility with its own café on the second floor. The food was delicious and the service excellent. Being a vegetarian, it is sometimes difficult to find something to eat. I had plenty of choices here. My sister had a sandwich lunch special which was amazing and priced incredibly reasonable. Ample parking too! read more
