I recently stumbled apon this hidden gem due to me and my co worker craving pho on a friday night. I was hesitant at first due to most places skimping on the meat but this time i said "Why not?" Boy was i glad i ordered here the food was fresh and the broth was delicious, i was most happy about the portion of protein they give you it was quadruple the amount any other place i've ever ordered on door dash with jus as great quality of the food they always prep your order fast and efficient and the service is always great i've yet to have gone in person but i wouldn't mind checking it out sometime if the food is this great. read more

We have been getting to-go food from this place for years since it's close to our house. Staff were friendly and their to-go service (call in for pickup) was pretty quick, however the portion size is on a smaller scale. We've never dined in but came in to order to go once when it was not busy, and the inside smelled like a nail salon (it seems their ventilation system might not be good if the next door nail salon smells leak into their restaurant). My husband likes their vermicelli noodles, rice dish, and pho, but I prefer their Bún bò Huế (wish they had pork hocks/pork legs, and bigger chunks of blood cakes) though. All in all, it's a decent place for a Vietnamese food/noodle without having to drive further into Austin. read more

Another Vietnamese review I'm going do considering I am Vietnamese and I probably have +1000 bowls of pho my entire time here in Texas. It was a great good lunch but it definitely had its pros and cons in my opinion. Anyone that eats pho, it's all about the broth and this broth had the great standard beef flavor that I'm accustomed too. Great nice bouncy noodles with the overall fresh herbs, like the bean sprouts and cilantro an overall good experience, but allow me to list of pros and cons. Pros: -The meat quality was great, freshly sliced beef and love the bouncy noodles. -The fresh herbs that came with the dish mixed together and overall fresh experience . Cons: -There was too much oil in the soup dish -After I left, even after a few hours, my mouth was still dry which I know for sure they added too much MSG -There wasn't enough beef -There wasn't enough vegetables as you can see on the pictures -You can see how little bean sprouts and leaves they gave me -Not enough green onions, not enough onions in the dish -I ended up eating the entire bowl of food because there just wasn't enough of it -to me it tasted like an $11 bowl not $14. OK, I think it's about time that I update this review. I started off initially with five stars then they had their closure for food, safety issues/concerns. Then they reopened and I was not happy with the food nor the service. I vowed never to come back, however my son really loves this place and he convinced me to give it another shot. I'm very happy that I did (the things we do for our kids) because the service is "A+" the food is back to being flavorful and delicious. You can tell that whoever is cooking it actually wants you to have a meal that you will enjoy. This is one of my go to places for Round Rock. Staff are always friendly. Service is good and fast. I'm not one to try many varieties of food but it's usually party busy so they're doing something right. I get the #31 noodles with egg rolls. Yum yum Convent location to where I live. Had some Pho Dan and overall a solid experience. I ordered Cơm Thịt Nướng (suon)Bì Chả Trứng (Đặc Biệt) the rice plate with pork skin, egg cake, a fried egg, and sliced pork. The flavors were good, everything tasted fresh, and the plate was filling and well put together. The pork skin and egg cake were especially enjoyable, and the fried egg tied everything together nicely. You also get a side broth of goodness thatIalwaysenjoy. We came from California, and saw Pho Dan near our hotel. The server got our order all wrong. We asked for limes, he brought 4 dry limes. We asked for more, and we're charged $3. For limes? We have restaurants in California and $3 for not even 2 limes is crazy. They also messed up on the soup, didn't put anything but meat and noodles. The broth had no taste, we were adding salt and limes to make some flavor but I felt like I was eating water with noodles and meat. I went right at 1 pm when lunch would be expected to be fresh. There was only one other table that was sat during my stay. To be fair - I can only speak to the Pho. The broth was mostly water. I taste my broth before adding ANYTHING and this was seriously, seriously watered. It may have been packaged and then watered down. No hint at all of any spice or flavor. It was 3 cups water to 1 bullion cube kinda thing I have been coming here since they opened, even came back after being closed by health inspectors. I had faith. The young man brought out a browning sad plate of 2 sprigs of basil, an 8th of a lime, 1/6 jalepeno and a sprinkle of bean sprouts. He never came around again, though I always tip 20 percent at least in restaurant, there was no service to speak of, although the place was empty. I ordered fried egg roll which was tasty 3 out of 5. I had to roll it in napkins and press to soak up the oil- which clearly was not brought to the right temperature. It was dark on the outside and very oily, but delicious innards. I ended up putting tablespoons of condiments into the soup to have any flavor. That upset my stomach to have so much spice and salt and ended up leaving most of it. Their meat is solid - not fatty or gamey. Their noodles separated easily, though it is a concealed lump at the base. Still, I can see that they cooked them that morning at least. The location is perfect, right off a busy street and in the middle of a shopping area. The parking is tight but just head to the bank if it's after hours. The food is authentic, which is delightful. Everything was full of flavor and cooked to perfection. I did figure out I am not a fan of fried pig skin, this Texan thought it was going to be a pork rind (it's not!). The egg rolls were killer! RED ALERT. MAJOR OPERATIONAL PROBLEMS. On their front door, there is a giant flunking official Unsanitary rating from the Williamson County and Cities Health District. Management says this was due to a new inspector passing through the region and giving unduly harsh inspections to all the restaurants he or she found. I tested this theory by driving all over the Hester's Crossing region looking at the front door of all the food service establishments. The only one who had a red health warning was Pho Dan. Everyone else was doing fine. * * * For reasons that in retrospect must have been poorly considered, I went ahead and ordered lunch anyway. Pho Dan's claim to fame had once been the best Vietnamese coffee in town. Now their coffee is not even acceptable. It did not come freshly brewing in the pot that you let percolate before having your drink. Percolation pot was empty, and the coffee was lukewarm. Pre-made coffee? I can't say for sure, but it sure looks that way. As it was, it did not taste like much. The beef on my Vietnamese beef on rice, had the funny texture of pre-formed factory beef slices made of leavings. It did not have the grain or bite of a sliced piece of flank steak or even of cheaper front leg meat. It was okay sort of because it was heavily marinated in a sweet sauce, which is how you cover up cheap meat. The 7A pho was what I ordered, minus the white onions. The server actually appreciated me telling them upfront about my item change. That doesn't happen.
