    The Cowboy Burger

This burger has it all! The cowboy burger has the right amount of blue cheese, bacon, jalapeños and their secret spicy salsa blend is awesome!!! Order it medium with extra salsa sauce! So delish!

There are not words to describe how incredible this place is. Little food truck in the parking lot of Little Woodrows Tech Ridge. And soooo happy its there. I eat there almost every time I am there.... So like 1-4 times a week. If you go you will understand why. Incredible food. Fresh ingredients, made on the spot. Everything on the menu (yes I have tried it all) is beyond delicious. And there is a "secret menu". AND they come up with seasonal specials which are stellar. Service is fast. Most times, the owner Papa Swayze will bring it in to you at the bar. Hopefully if you follow my advice, you get to meet the staff because they are so friendly and helpful. When you walk up you can smell that delicious food and even if you just ate, you will and should eat again! Everything about this place is spot on amazing.

Swayze's Sandwich Parlor is a new food truck located outside of Little Woodrow's at Tech Ridge. If you're craving a delicious sandwich, go show them some support! The photo of the menus I've posted shows their staples (top menu) and their rotating specials (bottom menu). Would definitely come back to show this small business some love!

Simple menu, but why make it complicated when you make damn good sandwiches. The cook is great about making adjustments as needed to suit your needs and if you're thirsty, it's parked directly in front of little Woodrow's! Go.

Some of the best comfort food in North Austin! Can't go wrong with their signature sauces. Don't forget to ask about buying a jar of spicy pickles for home they're fire & make everything 10x more delicious. 11/10

I read the Yelp reviews before coming (more on this later). I only had the traditional bahn mi with three kinds of pork, including sliced and pate. The bahn mi was as it should be, a thinner sandwich bread, similar to a baguette but skinnier, with lightly pickled daikon and carrot, a cucumber, cilantro, and jalapeno. It was delicious. Which brings me to the Yelp reviews. A number of them are complaining that the bread isn't as large as a traditional French baguette. This is because a bahn mi doesn't traditionally have a larger sized baguette. A traditional bahn mi bread is inspired by a French baguette, because the sandwich is a fusion of French and Vietnamese cuisines, since the French colonized Vietnam and influenced some of their food and architecture. But it isn't traditionally as thick as a baguette, and is made of a mix of wheat and rice flour. The owner happened to be typing on his laptop and I talked to him about the bread. It is made in house, by him. It is made thin, but doesn't have rice flour. I was frankly grateful that it wasn't a normal sized baguette, because that would have scraped up my mouth and required having a lot more toppings to balance the ingredients with the bread, making a much larger sandwich than I would want to eat. In the US, a restaurant owner making a bahn mi often faces a choice between making their own bread in house, having a local bakery make it for them, or buying from a bakery that already makes French baguettes. So what people are used to eating isn't authentic, but is a cost-saving tradeoff made by using a regular French baguette, usually the cheapest of the options. So before you complain about the shape and size of the bread, please understand that this is closer to the real deal than you are used to and not a defect of the bahn mi bread served in this restaurant, despite being named "Baguette House". The rest of the sandwich is open to criticism and I agree with some that the pickled veg could have used more vinegar, but the bread was well-made, crunchy crispy outside, with a soft interior. Delish.

Located in the corner of the plaza (next to the grocery store). Cute little bakery with a sweet older lady who speaks zero English but was nonetheless extremely welcoming and kind. She even gave my toddler a complimentary macaron. Sweet. I am usually pretty adventurous with trying new pastries/snacks and it generally works out well. Unfortunately, I did not like most of the things we took home that day (my husband agreed). A taro egg ball thing -- not fans. A gelatinous rice blob inside a bamboo leaf (believe it's called Zongzi) -- also didn't work for us. Finally, the beef puff (which seemed like a safe bet) fell short of expectations. It's my fault -- I ignored that part that said "beef floss." It had a stringy/processed texture that I just didn't like. I just wasn't a fan of the flavors/textures -- but obviously that's subjective. I did enjoy the garlic bread we also thankfully bought -- it was soft and flavorful. If you're not familiar with the foods, I'd recommend making sure you get a few "safe" items like the cream bread or garlic bread. Ultimately, even though I wasn't crazy about most of what I tried, it was a cute little shop with a nice lady running it.

We ordered the #9 Name of the Girl I'm Dating, #6 Hot Momma Huda, and #1 Elvis Kieth, and all three sandwiches were fresh and absolutely delicious. The bread was perfectly toasted, the ingredients tasted high-quality, and every bite was packed with flavor. The meats were generous, the toppings were well-balanced, and the sauces tied everything together without overpowering the sandwich. You can tell everything is made fresh, and the consistency across all three orders was impressive. Overall, this Ike's location delivers exactly what you expect--big, flavorful sandwiches that hit the spot.

First off, our salmon for the salad was requested as medium and well-done, but they both came out about halfway raw. I have a particularly sensitive stomach so this was a concern. Secondly, the chai latte was sickeningly sweet- which we did bring to their attention, and they did their best to adjust it. This is my friend's favorite place and she said the salmon has never come out raw before so I might give it another try, but am definitely a bit wary on the lack of consistency in food standards.
