It's a large food trailer at the corner of Metric Blvd and Cedar Bend Dr in North Austin area. I got The Awakening burger from their "Forbidden Menu" which has a bunch of different bold burgers. The Awakening definitely lived up to its name since the deep fried battered jalapeño and the Awakening sauce are very spicy (and delicious). The patty isn't huge and is a smash burger style, but the burger was filling and bun was very fresh tasting. I even ran into a nice guy at the window for the pickup and we recognized each other from when he was a manager at Sonic. He's definitely at a much better place now with Buddha Burger! They also have a picnic table area with some shade if you choose to eat before you got the road again. And the corner isn't too loud, I'm fact they even had some music playing.

It's covered in neon signs, one of which has a different name on it. It's still very cute and there is a little patch of astroturf in front of the ordering window. There is a large menu on the side of the truck. Pick what you want, tell the person at the window, they call your name when it's ready. They accept card but i don't know about cash. There is no place to sit so you're definitely taking your food to go. I got the Italian beef shawarma plate. This was a very fun take on the classic Italian beef sandwich. The beef was tender and the combinations of flavors were unique. I detected another meat in there, though? It tasted like there was also some goat mixed in with the beef which wasn't a problem for me, but might be for you. There wasn't a whole lot of it, but it definitely had that tangy, gamy flavor that marks out goat. The sandwich was delicious. They're open late which is great because I often work late and am too tired to do much else. It's been over a week now since I went and I'm still thinking about that food so we will be back.

As for the chicken, I was hoping by itself it would be more thai inspired/marinated/seasoned but it's effectively just chopped up chicken tenders to be dunked in the curry. The curry is flavorful, albeit a bit watery, which I wish was reduced a bit. But if curry is not your thing, my friend's Kai Zabb was very good: tangy, sweet and heat all at once, so good to really switch up bites. And while I wasn't expecting sticky rice, I can't help but say it's the first time I've had thai fried chicken without it. All in all, I think its a great new place to try out, but if you've had thai fried chicken before, just temper your expectations.

It's pretty well lit and they play good music (old school). The only thing I would say is they need to work on updating the heaters and bathrooms. Although they're locked, I feel like they need more care and the hot water doesn't work. I tried 4 (Habibi, Tacos, Pete's Cajun Seafood, and Coat & Thai) out of the 7 trucks and all of the food was delicious!

I prefer the mini but they're sold out a lot which shows you how spectacular this place is. My go to is the nutty valentine. The donut is always warm, fresh, and crispy. And the toppings of Nutella, cinnamon, and strawberries adds dimension & the perfect story. There is plenty of patio seating and lots of parking outside. The tenders are okay, since I got mild it wasn't really flavorful and the dang sauce isn't very flavorful either. Food was made to order because it was HOT. I said thank you and left without purchasing anything. She told me if I wanted more lobster it would be $8. I then drove 25 miles home.
