The Awakening definitely lived up to its name since the deep fried battered jalapeño and the Awakening sauce are very spicy (and delicious). The patty isn't huge and is a smash burger style, but the burger was filling and bun was very fresh tasting. I even ran into a nice guy at the window for the pickup and we recognized each other from when he was a manager at Sonic. He's definitely at a much better place now with Buddha Burger! They also have a picnic table area with some shade if you choose to eat before you got the road again. And the corner isn't too loud, I'm fact they even had some music playing.

This instantly became my favorite burger spot around after my first visit. The staff are always kind, the food comes out fast, and everything I've had has been consistently amazing. The Cajun fries are a must. They're packed with flavor and have just the right amount of kick. I've worked my way through pretty much the whole menu at this point, including several burgers and even the chicken sandwich's, and honestly it's all been ridiculously good. The burger patties are flavorful, juicy, and perfectly greasy in the best possible way. The Nirvana sauce takes everything to another level and has become mandatory for me anytime I go. My personal favorite is the California Classic, and I always get the double because it's just too good not to. It's definitely one of those indulgent meals you try not to have too often, but every time I cave and go back, it completely delivers.

Two dry buns, a patty with some overly sweet mustard mayo mix, some sliced onions that I had to pull off because they were too stringy to eat, and I'm paying gourmet price for this garbage. Really there is no excuse for allowing that crap to ever leave a kitchen. The table was wobbly and the ambiance in the dining room is not particularly welcoming. The worst part is that they demand tip at point of sale and I left a pretty big one. No way to take it back, so consider it a goodbye gift.

There's lots of seating inside and each order takes about 5-10 minutes to prepare. What sets this burger place apart from their competitors is their use of roasted Hatch green chilies and their "Magic" sauce. You can also add jalapeños for free and bacon for just a dollar more. If you get the combo, you can upgrade to a shake for just two dollars more. Let's start with the star of the show which is the burger. I got the double cheese with bacon and I have to admit it met all my expectations. The bun is not your typical white bread, I was told it's called a "euro bun". The roasted chilies added just a subtle note of heat. As for the chocolate shake, it was pretty similar to what you'd get at In-N-Out Burger and the previously frozen fries were fairly average, not home cut. As far as burgers go, I would definitely add this place to your "go to" list for good and unique burgers that deliver for the money.
