Best Burger I have ever eaten. Can't wait to try the other burger options. Highly recommend!

I've been going thru all the birthday deals on different apps and Toast had $5 off at Buddha Burger so I decided to try it for the first time. It's a large food trailer at the corner of Metric Blvd and Cedar Bend Dr in North Austin area. I got The Awakening burger from their "Forbidden Menu" which has a bunch of different bold burgers. The Awakening definitely lived up to its name since the deep fried battered jalapeño and the Awakening sauce are very spicy (and delicious). The patty isn't huge and is a smash burger style, but the burger was filling and bun was very fresh tasting. I even ran into a nice guy at the window for the pickup and we recognized each other from when he was a manager at Sonic. He's definitely at a much better place now with Buddha Burger! They also have a picnic table area with some shade if you choose to eat before you got the road again. And the corner isn't too loud, I'm fact they even had some music playing. read more

It's a food truck parked right outside a gas station with a few benches and tables nearby, nothing fancy, just a laid back spot to sit down and enjoy an excellent burger. This instantly became my favorite burger spot around after my first visit. The staff are always kind, the food comes out fast, and everything I've had has been consistently amazing. The Cajun fries are a must. They're packed with flavor and have just the right amount of kick. I've worked my way through pretty much the whole menu at this point, including several burgers and even the chicken sandwich's, and honestly it's all been ridiculously good. The burger patties are flavorful, juicy, and perfectly greasy in the best possible way. The Nirvana sauce takes everything to another level and has become mandatory for me anytime I go. My personal favorite is the California Classic, and I always get the double because it's just too good not to. It's definitely one of those indulgent meals you try not to have too often, but every time I cave and go back, it completely delivers. read more

First time here. Always see it when I go to put gas(it's a food truck. Located in a gas station parking lot). The BEST burger Ive ever had here in Austin! Got a cheeseburger, cajun fries, glass bottled Dr Pepper and a Oreo milkshake. The meat of the burger is sooo delicious, compared to other places where the meat tastes funky, not here! Fries are good, but I'm more of thinner fries myself, but they aren't bad. The milkshake!!!!! Is delicious!!! I loved it! Definitely recommend coming if you been wanting to try! Service was great as well! Very polite and well mannered young men! Ambiance is nice. Before trying and would only go get gas, I enjoyed hearing the music they play! The area is very clean! There are picnic tables but I am unsure if they can be use when buying from them because next to them is another food truck. Tables are located in between them. But I doubt it would be a problem. 1 Star Unfortunately, my experience at Buddha Burger was very disappointing. The food was not good, and the overall cleanliness of the establishment was a major concern. I personally saw cockroaches inside the restaurant, which made me question the sanitation and food-handling practices. The wait for my food was also much longer than expected, which made the experience even more frustrating. Between the cleanliness concerns, the long wait, and the quality of the food, I left feeling very disappointed. I hope management takes these concerns seriously and addresses the sanitation and service issues. Customers deserve a clean environment, safe food, and reasonable service times. I've driven by this trailer so many times!!!!! I finally decided to stop and give it a try! The weather was nice and cool and perfect for their outdoor seating area. I ordered off their hidden menu which you can find online. You will be amazed at the food here! The quality, the taste!! Ahmaziiiingg!! Their nirvana sauce is tangy. Think level up thousand island only not pink. Also their amazing sauce goes great on burgers. We had the Amazing burger single (although I could of eaten a whole double by myself) and the Crispy Chicken with nirvana sauce was the best sandwich I've ever had! The chicken was so tender and juicy for being fried. The onion rings had a nice kick to them too. Not super spicy just mild. You just also try their chocolate chip toffee cookie!! Buddha Burger is SO good. I ordered late night takeout from Buddha, and they were so sweet they even wrote a note on the paper bag! The mini burgers' patties are so moist and the French fries' texture was perfect. It was really hard to stop eating, and I love that this spot is so close to where I live. This is the location at Metric and Cedar Bend Dr, very convenient if you work or commute or live in that area. The service is great. Very inviting and helpful at the checkout window and even after the food came out. The meat is perfectly cooked and salted. The bun buttered nicely for that extra taste. I got the California burger so the buttered bun might only be that one but you can check. I debated on the regular or cajun fries but glad I got the cajun, the seasoning is way better than plain salted. Iced peach tea topped off a great experience. I think they rotate tea flavors and peach was the flavor of the day so I got lucky because peach tea is one of my favorites. Plenty of outside seating or grab it to go. There was a nice breeze and a small tree blocking the sun's direction so I enjoyed the outdoor meal on this day. read more

Amazing Hamburgers! Hands down top 3 in Austin and we come here often. The burgers are crispy and have fantastic flavor, staff is friendly, and location in North Austin is easy for us to get to. It is a food truck so parking can get tricky but its by a gas station so theres always somewhere to park it seems. My only gripe- stop being so stingy with the onion rings! Its a lot for an order of onion rings and last time we were there only 5 came in the bag- thats like $1 per ring and some werent even that big. Shame because they are delicious, but I would skip just because its a rip off. Just get the burger! read more

I had been to Buddha Burger when Yelp hosted an event there and really enjoyed it and happened to be in the area again so I stopped by. I love mushrooms and thought about trying the Laughing Buddha which has a breaded/fried mushroom caps with cheese in between, but it might have been a bit too much cheese so I went with the Double Cheeseburger. The double cheeseburger is pretty much everything you want in a solid burger. 2 juicy smashed patties, perfectly melted cheese, and a great balance of toppings without being messy. The flavor is bold and beefy, and you can tell they use quality ingredients. It's the kind of burger that hits the spot from the first bite to the last. The cajun fries were super crisp on the outside and fluffy inside, and the onion rings ended up being one of the standout sides. They were thick-cut, crunchy, and not greasy at all, with a light batter that let the onion actually shine. Both dip well in their nirvana sauce. Service was friendly, and food came out hot. If you're craving a classic, well-made burger meal in Austin, Buddha Burger is absolutely worth a visit. Value wise, I'm still a Buddy's Burger fan as they're also super solid, but Buddha Burger is great too if you're in the area. Service was very nice and came to check up us while dining and was happy to get additional stuff like napkins. The food was so good, some of the best burger and chicken sandwich I have ever had. The chicken bacon ranch was so good, the chicken was so moist and juicy and the breading on the chicken was so flavorful. Some of the best ranch with lots of flavor and paired well with the sandwich. The California classic burger was one of the best burgers I've had. The patties had a really nice crust that added a lot of flavor but was still thick with a really nice angus beef flavor. The buns had a toasted bun on the exterior which was incredible, shattered when biting into it with a really nice buttery taste. The nirvana sauce balanced the richness of the burger so well. Amazing burger. Some shaded eating area would have been nice. Overall, an incredible experience and would definitely return. Can't give this place enough praise. read more

Came today after a scooter ride down by the creek. Is super easy to get to from the trails. Food came out fast and fresh. I got the chicken strips onion rings and the mango tea of the day. Omg so good. The staff were super friendly and gave great rec's for the sauce. The space is in the parking lot of a gas station so it's kind of busy but it's super local and very friendly. We got the basic double cheeseburger with Cajun fries. It was very very fresh and very very good. While we were waiting a Buddha Burger Enthusiast let us know that the Cali is the best option. If you don't get the Cali, she said to definitely ask them to ghee your buns. We got some kind of chocolate chip toffee cookie. OMG. I'll definitely be thinking about it later. Didn't expect this place to be a food truck but to my surprise it was pretty good. The burgers were made quickly and survived the drive home. The patty had good flavor and didn't feel overly greasy. I was enticed to try Buddha burger as result of their natural approach to their burgers. For example, I was told they ground their beef every day. The cali, according to the server, was one of the top 3 food items. As a general principle, I usually order the most popular menu items. The Cali did not disappoint! First, the bread was buttery delicious...larger than a slice of bread but smaller than a standard bun...toasted. Then the inside drippy good - a thick, fresh piece of beef, perfectly grilled onions (sweet & soft), lettuce, cheese and a special sauce. The burger was super filling. BEST fast food burger place I've had in my life (maybe?) My usual order is the little buddha, poutine, and fries. Sometimes I'll go crazy with the mushroom burger and it really is a gigantic block of cheese, but you have to be mentally and physically be prepared for it. I first discovered this business after attending a grand opening Yelp event for them. Some things you need to know before you arrive is the fact that the seating that they do have is outdoors and mostly not shaded. There's some covered seating directly across from the car wash, but there are no tables there. One of the drawbacks of coming here is ascending the rickety steps to place your order and to pick it up. This is definitely more of a get it to go operation unless you like sitting at a picnic table under the blazing sun. I got the double cheese and fries and they do give you a good helping of fries, but they were very stingy with just two packets of ketchup. The meat they use looks like fresh smashed beef, not previously frozen. They do a decent job in the burger business and a double smashed cheese combo will run you close to $20 (and you will face the tip screen with your credit card for that added expense). I think Buddy's burgers are of better quality and value, but they are better than In-N-Out, especially their fries. My order took less than 10 minutes to get. Food truck in north austin with burgers, fries, onion rings and shakes. A surprising addition to the menu is poutine down here in Texas. I didnt order it this time since we did a to go order but will have to try it next time. We got the Little Buddha burger with nirvana sauce. Burger was good! I wouldn't say it is anything super special but it is solid. The prices are comparable to shake shack or other burger places. If I were rank the burgers in the area though, this place would be in the middle of the pack. Mainly due to the high price for a good burger but not a great burger. We really love their food. The location is pretty close to home so it's one of our go to meals if we're not cooking. The have a great mix of fusion flavors and just straight up classic burgers. I like to get the California classic burger sometimes lettuce wrapped (which is messy but still delicious. We also love the chicken bacon ranch sandwich, and the tenders are massive. We love their sides, but my favorite are the onion rings which have a bit of an unusual but definitely not unpleasant kick. Really delicious toffee cookie too. They have a line up of house sauces but my go to is the sauce 6, it's a mix of thru bbq and nirvana sauce and I love it. Food always takes a bit to come out, but it's because you know it's fresh and very much worth the small wait. I've been to Austin for about 9 months now and Buddha Burger is by FAR my favorite burger spot. The cheeseburger and Cajun fries are my go to!!! My only small not even complaint but sometimes it can be a drag is the time. It doesn't always take a long time but sometimes maybe during the busier times there is a little of a wait. the cajun fries are wonderful. the cheese fries aren't great, you have to actually wait for the shredded cheese to melt on top of them and even then they don't taste all that good on their own. The crispy chicken buddha is pretty good but the sauce makes the cheese unnecessary in my opinion. it also is a little messy but tasty. My order came with a sauce and I used it on the fries but it may have been intended for the sandwich. Not sure what it was, some sort of garlic aioli perhaps but it was delicious. read more
