Came here through a recommendation and left two happy customers. Started with the sampler. The fried pickles were good! The pickle slices are thicker than normal so you can actually taste them. The fried cheese was apart amazing. The cheeseburger egg rolls were okay. Queso was tasty and the Shishito peppers were better than expected and a surprising favorite. Next we both ordered the I can't decide. My choice was the Hawaiian and the perfect burger. I devoured the perfect burger. I would go back for this. The Hawaiian burger was okay. The description was spot on but it was underwhelming compared to the perfect burger. Hubby ordered the I can't decide and split between ring of fire and prime steakhouse. He added aioli to the steakhouse and very much enjoyed it. The ring of fire, is exactly that. It's spicy. He went through a few rounds of ice water. We split the basket of onion rings and fries. It came with 4 giant onion rings and fries. Rings were good, fries were blah. We topped with the homemade custard - because why not. Service was great, environment is relaxed. Restaurant is split between bar and the sit down family side with a private room in between. Solid place and it hit the spot when craving burgers.

Don't miss the happy hour! I walked in on a weekday during happy hour and sat at the bar. Was immediately served a cold beer and had my order taken. Within minutes I had nachos brought out with a 5280 burger. Meat from the nachos is from the bbq joint next door (Bert's) and honestly, I don't think I could pick out a single thing I'd change about the entire experience. Atmosphere was great, service was phenomenal, food was savory and the draft and drink selection was full of everything you might want. 5280 might be mile high, but this place feels more like cloud 9. Will visit again soon!
This was my first time to eat here at 5280. The seating area is clean nice and comfy. The service was fast and great. They have TVs everywhere which was awesome for Sunday football. They have a great draft beer selection and their menu has something for everyone. The tables are high tops with comfy benches and chairs. I got the classic 5280 burger with fries and a lemonade. The food was pretty good and service was good as well. Overall I like the ambience and we will return

Seat yourself and a helpful server will come take your order. Large selection of appetizers, salads, & burgers (which can be subbed for grilled chicken breast). We tried the chips & queso, a burger and street tacos. The queso was tasty with a nice kick & the street tacos were yummy. PSA - all burgers cooked to medium so be sure to specify if you prefer a different cooking temp.

This is a neighborhood spot that does food and service great that keeps me coming back.
What a gem of a place. I know, as a vegetarian who am I to review a burger/taphouse? But oh you vegetarians do not fret as there are vegetarian options. The burgers can be substituted with either their black bean/quinoa patty or Impossible Burger. I had the impossible burger which was perfect, but I am sure their black bean burger is very good. We went on a Sunday evening and they have a nice dog friendly outdoor patio. It's also nice they provide dog bowls for water for the dogs. Even though the high was in the high 90s the patio wasn't too hot at all and they do have a big fan to cool you off if needed. The service was amazing. All 3 waitresses that came to help us checked in on us and they spoiled our dog that we brought for dinner with us. I also have never been to a restaurant with so many thoughtful touches. For example in the bathroom they have mouthwash and mints so you can have fresh breath after enjoying dinner. They also have blankets rolled up in the front if the inside is too cold. It was also nice that I believe the owner of the place went around and made rounds and asked us how our food was. You can tell they really care about their customers! Now on to the food. My husband and I were hungry, but not hungry enough to have full size burger. So we ended up doing the duo where you can each choose your own burger but it is slider size. Well the slider size is about the size of In-n-Out burger so it was perfect for us. I got the Baja burger with caramelized onions, roasted poblanos, chipotle mayo, pepperjack cheese and subbed out the burger for impossible. I really enjoyed it and it was not spicy at all. The bun was soft and buttery. My husband got the Wagyu burger and enjoyed it. We also split loaded fries with queso and pico de gallo and it was delicious - the fries were perfectly crisp even when it was smothered in queso and was the perfect size to split between the two but not too large that we had a lot left over. They have plenty of free parking as it is shared with strip mall.
My cheeseburger was good! The lobster roll was a little dry. Although burgers were good but nothing too memorable or special. I wish the truffle fries were crispier instead of soaked in oil. Excellent service. We had the sweetest and most attentive waitress. Very casual and fun spot to hang out if you want a quick bite.
I was having a recovery day and was a bit rundown and couldn't figure out what would actually be enjoyable for dinner, till I remembered I had a $5 credit from Toast for 5280 Burgers... They have a lot of fancy burgers with lots of stuff on them, but I just wanted something delicious and filling...and the Ultimate Cheeseburger was perfect! Just 2 thick quarter pound burgers, tons of cheese (cheddar, Swiss, and American cheese), plus 5280 sauce and pickles. Only thing I didn't have on it was the pickles. This burger is so flavorful and juicy and is actually making me feel better. The combination of all that cheese and a touch of sauce on both sides of the bun just made my body feel good and I'll have a good sleep tonight for sure!!! Four star food, five star service. stopped into 5280 for dinner tonight and it was great! We were immediately greeted at the door and right away we knew we were going to be taken care of tonight. Sat outdoor and enjoyed the cooler weather while also having front row seats to tonight's game. Food: bacon cheeseburger, plain fries (classic! Cooked perfectly and flavorful) 4/5 Prime steakhouse burger, truffle fries (so many yummy elements, would recommend) 4.5/5 Mac and cheese (loved this soooo much) 5/5 Salted Carmel icecream (3/5 melty and meh) Service: Amazing. This place is exactly what I want in a hometown restaurant/bar. The staff was friendly and personable. The owner engaged with patrons. A lot of people were there to watch the UT game. They have a lot of space and quite a few big TVs. I ordered wings and that's the one thing they could improve. There was simply not enough sauce (I'm sure they would've happily fixed that if I had asked). The burgers were juicy and cooked right. I realize this is a burger and taphouse place but.... I'm coming here for the ice cream! They'll make whatever your heart desires. It's a good thing I don't live closer to this place because I would be eating WAY too much of their ice cream. I'm not sure what to tell you other than to try it and find out for yourself how good it is. read more

Lunch special burger, drink, and fries for something like $12.50. Delicious. They also have a happy hour with five dollar beers and five dollar snacks. Everything tasted here has been very good. read more
Heard so much about this place that I finally was able to make it. It was a great vibe on a Friday night, Sat at the bar Ordered the fried pickles they were perfectly battered perfectly seasoned with a hint of spice, and the ranch was amazing it's pribibly homemade? Ordered the mushroom burger, perfectly seasoned patty, lightly seared buns, water lettuce, my favorite. It was amazing. I added grilled onions on the burger, and it was a perfect bite! We shared a wedge salad, the blue cheese dressing was great, and the basic bacon would need a bit of extra love, but all was good. And to be nutty and since I was sitting at the bar, I couldn't help but read the entire board and decided to order the "Shakertins" so it's a shake any flavor but with alcohol- so since my absolute favorite drink is an old fashion- I ordered that and OMG what a treat that was! 5280 Burger and Taphouse is now a rotating staple for me. Thur night steak night! $35 for prime ribeye or filet with salad and potatoes. We finally got a chance to stop in for steak night, and what a great meal! I chose the 13 oz prime ribeye, with Caesar salad and mashed potatoes. It got subbed for a different style of potatoes, but not mad at it. Staff here always friendly and love this spot! read more

I came here for the Eagles game and the crowd is so lively here! This is a great place to watch football games if you're an Eagles fan. We got the appetizer platter which was very filling. The drinks were also well made! read more
Service was awesome! The food was great. The beer on tap was good too! We went in for happy hour they had good $5 draft beer special selection. Their homemade ketchup is amazing. They gave us a sample of their super hot sauce and my eyebrows were sweating. When they say something is hot, it's hot. We went in my our small child and she ate all her food. Subhashree with Offline - this burger place hits the spot. staff was super friendly. where else in Austin can you get an appetizer, 2 burgers and fries and 2 alcoholic drinks for around $65. the fries and shishitos were crispy and the burger flavors were really innovative, I have never had such interesting flavor combos anywhere else. I got the ring of fire burger with a veggie patty and it was spicy and yummy! my partner got the nashville hot chicken and he also really enjoyed it. we'll definitely be back! read more
Ok so here's the scenario: imagine walking through the forest can you turn around to look behind you and then as you look in front of you a 250 pound branch or tree for that matter smacks you in the face... That is how good this place is! Ever since we have stumbled upon it we have been multiple times. The food is absolutely out of this world, and is one of the best burgers I have ever tasted. The fact that you can order wagyu as an option is amazing. The green chili bowl as well as the mac & cheese cheeseburger next level excitement in your mouth. My wife loves to build her own burger and she absolutely loves every creation she comes up with. The happy hour is amazing. The drinks and adult milkshakes exceptionally delicious. The service is always above approach and spot on. This is the reason we will continuously come back to have our mind blown by flavors that make your mind try to compute quantum physics. read more
This burger place is located in a strip center which is next to an H-E-B and Bert's barbecue. After reading many of the reviews, we decided to come here for the 3-6 PM happy hour. We decided on some five dollar drinks. They don't have any frozen drinks, on the rocks only. Inside there is lots of seating and plenty of flatscreens to focus on. They also have a private dining room for your gathering. For more festive setting, I suggest sitting in the bar area. We were surprised that there was hardly anyone in the place during our Tuesday happy hour which meant we got exceptional service. We got an egg roll, two burgers and the chicken fried steak along with fries and onion rings. Our food was exceptional, although the 4 onion rings were limp and soggy and not something I would order again. However, if you're like me and looking for some of the best burgers in Austin, this place should be on your list. On the way out we did get one of their soft serve custard ice creams to go.
