Love this spot. The menu is always delicious and this location has a very calm ambiance and decor, with lots of comfort foods to choose from. Today we both wanted the biscuits with gravy and so we asked for just that! The service is as usual very prompt and courteous and our 2 plates came out fast and hot. We had each ordered the scrambled eggs soft- (so juicy) and they sadly were not as expected. The gravy was just barely enough to not even cover the biscuits- and it was very tasty, so we asked for more, and were billed for an additional side of gravy. Again the side of gravy that was provided and billed for, was very small. So there's room for improvement there. We enjoyed our meal but definitely would have enjoyed it more if more gravy had been used! Oh I forgot to mention that one of us ordered the stack of pancakes foster as an add on and they were good. This was unexpectedly bad. Started with "wait to be seated" with obvious emphasis on waiting. Half empty place, we stayed by the entrance for 6 min until an associate decided to pay attention to us. Forget about a customary "I am sorry for the wait", not even a smile or any sort of acknowledgment, just a dry "table for two?". O let was not bad however the sausage was obviously from a Costco sale. Potatoes were soft and dripping oil. Came here for breakfast. Had the Bourbon Street Pancakes and they were so dry, Even with syrup. We also had the cinnamon roll pancake and it was good and moist (these had more toppings and made/cooked differently than the Bourbon Street ones, see pics) . I had some visitors in town and food/cuisine wise they could be hard to shop for, so to speak. However, I've yet to meet anyone who doesn't like a big hearty 'MERICAN style breakfast. Another Broken Egg Cafe was a bit far out but decided it was worth it with all the positive reviews. We chose to sit inside-just to bright and sunny out and we had a fairly mixed group, seniors to littluns. Our server was great, waiting patiently with both the kiddos as well as the non-English speakers. I went with the Shrimp and Grits because it's not something you see super often. It was a hearty meal, with a good amount of shrimp, seasoned right, a little on the mild side spice wise but that was easily remedied. Service and atmosphere was great the moment we walked in! Host was sweet and Suzi was super sweet! Food came out quick, she was very attentive and kind to give us beignets as first time customers which were delicious! Especially the marmalade. We ordered the Lobster and Brie omlette along with Smoke Salmon Benedict. Both were a bit on the salty side for us, but overall cooked very well. Me and my girlfriend like to come to Broken Egg as our weekly date, but the past two times we have came it has been INCREDIBLY disappointing. Both times the eggs were hard, cold, and definitively not made to order, and our food has consistently been undercooked, with the middle of my pancakes still consisting of liquid batter. The french toast should be fluffy, not cold, hard, and clearly left to sit out for too long. From what I can tell, this place's food will only be good if they are slow. I know if i'm looking for good breakfest, i'm going to Kerbey Lane, Snooze, or First Watch instead. 0/10. At least our waitress was nice, but there's some sort of problem in the kitchen. read more

The atmosphere, service , and food is just what we were looking for! We came in after a hike and enjoyed a few different items. We got in line ahead of time and were sat within 5 minutes of arrival! The waitstaff is very knowledgeable and accommodating! The (manager I think) was very nice and checked on us quite a few times , also cleared our table and helped with a new situation when we were on the patio! We ordered the Tiramisu French toast which was delightful for a little treat! A tad too much cocoa powder for me but that espresso whip is amazinnnggg!!! I went here for the first time surprised that I hadn't been yet. The menu is full and everything looks so good. I already knew I wanted the Bourbon Street Pancakes before I arrived. I love bananas and pecans on/in my pancakes so the added rum sauce was a bonus. Unfortunately, it was all way too sweet. It came with a side of meat and eggs which was nice. I don't eat pork, or chicken and those were the only options for a meat side with the meal so that's strike one. Where's the turkey bacon or sausage for a healthier option? I was brunching with 5 other ladies and everyone's food looked great when it came out. The biscuit beneigts that were ordered for the table were the best thing I tasted in my whole meal. I wasn't impressed with the mocktail I ordered because it tasted mostly like soda instead of the pineapple juice and other ingredients that were supposed to be in it. As for service... Several of the drink orders we made came out after our food because "the bartender was backed up". And a couple of food items were also late. We had to ask about things that had not been served yet instead of being notified that there was a delay. The server we had was really nice and doing his best because I think he said it was only his second day. So there's some grace there. We sat outside and most of the meal there were wasps visiting our table being a nuisance. We thought they were bees at first which would have been okay but once we realized they were wasps it spoiled the mood with everyone being fearful of being stung. I spent $30 on food, drink and tip for a meal that was less than great. So glad that the company of the ladies I was with made the overall experience a good one. My one complaint is that they use pre-sliced ham for this dish, rather than the more traditional puck of Canadian bacon. The paired grits were also good. The portion was reasonable, but not amazing. Like many brunch spots, drip coffee is unreasonably priced here. It's somewhere around 5-6 dollars for a cup of Folger's. The server was well-intentioned, but a bit aggressive. We felt hassled to leave, I'd estimate we had about 15 minutes after our food arrived before we were pressured to order more or leave. Overall, not really worth the wait. read more

I popped in last Monday for a quick breakfast and had such a wonderful time! Even though he was busy, the gentleman at the host stand made everyone feel prioritized. Our server and her trainee were super sweet and attentive and the entire experience felt cozy and relaxed with no rush at all (even though we were in and out in 1 hour). Food was delicious! Came here for an early brunch with two girlfriends. Always be prepared for a wait when you arrive because they are always busy! We ordered the blueberry lemonade mimosa as it was perfect for spring time! The carafe is small though and not enough to share between even two people (one of us doesn't drink) not worth the money as it does not come filled to the top. I do think getting one or two drinks on your own will give you what you need. My food was hot and fresh! The potatoes were fried to perfection and the beignets were the best part!
