Met a few friends here for lunch last week and enjoyed it. We ordered salads, soups, tacos, and one person ordered a cocktail. We were seated quickly as the place as not very full when we arrived. The waitress was kind enough to wait as some of our party were delayed for various reasons. We ordered some guacamole as well. The tortilla soup was spicier than any of us thought it might be. It was different from the typical tortilla soup, very tasty, but unexpectedly spicy. Normally I don't mind spice, just wasn't expecting it! The indoor decor of the restaurant is still very nicely done. We sat and chatted for a while and our waitress made sure we had plenty of water for refills. I'm sure I'll be here again soon and next time hopefully I'll be able to have a cocktail too. :-)

Took my parents to Mexican Sugar and it was so delicious! I got the steak fajitas and they were so yum I am dying to come again because of that! We went for a Thursday Lunch and it was busy busy! Did not expect it to be as busy as it was but I was definitely lunch rush-- with that being said we got seated in one of the bar booths and there was only one server so it did take a while for him to get to us which we understood besides that the service went by quick as soon as we ordered food I think within 10min the food was out! I always love the vibe there it feels like I'm stepping into vacation and the music was amazing so I did my happy dance with listening to their amazing playlist as I ate amazing food :)

Had a great experience last night celebrating my husband's birthday. Honestly the highlight was the service. A couple of us asked for recommendations and instead of rolling her eyes the server asked good questions and seemed genuinely interested, she really helped us narrow it down. We had the queso blanco, personally I think they should charge a dollar or two more and make the portion larger. We had just 4 people and ended up needing two orders, of course we didn't come close to finishing the second though. Hubby had combo fajitas they were really good. They don't come on a sizzling platter though so just fyi. We actually ordered our steak under cooked thinking they would continue to cook but they come on a regular plate so keep that in mind. I had the crab enchiladas, unwrapped out the rice for the corn and honestly the corn was all of our favorites. It was delicious! While I liked my crab enchiladas not sure if I would get them again. We ordered the churros for desert and they were a hit too. They are super flaky and light though not like traditional churros that I've ever had. My favorite part was the inside, I loved the ambiance! It was a little loud and the tables are a little close for my looking but I did love the look and feel. We will go back :). Won't be a regular but i would love to try some other things on the menu.

We had a little bit of a rough start with this restaurant because they are very strict about their 15-minute late policy. We were 3 minutes late, and unfortunately, they had already cancelled our reservation and given our table to another couple. I understand they have a policy, but I was a little disappointed because we were only a few minutes past the 15-minute mark. We went back on Sunday evening. This time, the restaurant was very busy, which made me understand a little more why they have to be strict with their reservations. That being said, the restaurant itself is beautiful, the food was really good, and it's definitely a nice place to enjoy dinner with family or friends. My husband ordered the enchiladas, and they brought him three different enchiladas with chicken. I had the fajitas de asada, and they were delicious. They also bring out chips with warm salsa, and the salsa was so good! We also ordered the watermelon fresca, which was so refreshing and perfect with dinner. Overall, even though our reservation experience was a little frustrating, we still had a great meal and enjoyed our evening. I would definitely come back and bring my family and friends. Next time, I'll definitely make sure we're there before the 15-minute mark!

Beautiful cozy place and our appetizers were really good! The coconut margarita was SOOOO DELICIOUS! It came with a coconut popsicle. Part of the margarita flight. Try the garlic avocado shrimp appetizer (but not on a date super garlicky) it was amazing!! We will be back and loved our server and fun bartender!

This is my second time at this restaurant and I love it !! It gives a very luxury atmosphere but it's very casual . The food is good, waitresses are very nice and the drinks are strong! I will be back !

Mexican Sugar!!! Where have you been all my life?! My bro decided to make us reservations for happy hour and I'm sure glad he did. We had a couple of appetizers including the chips, salsa and queso which were really good! (They serve their salsa warm) They make all of their salsas in house. Make sure to ask for the extra spicy versions as well. Pro-tip! The shrimp appetizer that my granddaughter ordered as her entree was in her words "out of this world!" The Paloma and machete margaritas were well priced for happy hour and delicious! It seemed like everyone was enjoying this beautiful restaurant. There were business meetings, happening all around, lunch dates, and even a baby shower for an expected mother. I'm coming back to this upscale Mexican restaurant for sure sooner than later.

Great spot in the heart of The Domain! The restaurant is top-notch with an upscale Mexican vibe. I loved the ambiance, lighting, décor, and beautiful finishes throughout. The long bar is a great touch, and the music created a fun Latin atmosphere without feeling overdone. I've been to the Dallas/Plano location, but this one feels much more modern since it's brand new. Our server (I wish I remembered his name) was excellent and gave us great recommendations. The drinks were delicious, and the food was flavorful. The only downside is parking. Since it's in the middle of The Domain, you may have to park in a garage and walk, though valet is available for $20. Shoutout to the hostess who was kind enough to seat us inside even though the table had a later reservation, and she let us know ahead of time when we'd need to leave. We really appreciated that since it was too hot to sit outside. Overall, great service, great food, and a beautiful atmosphere. I'd definitely come back!

Ambiance: 5/5: Loved the ambiance of this restaurant. It had candles throughout the entire restaurant, the lighting was warm, the music wasn't super loud, plates and table decor were very cute, and they had throw pillows all around. Service: 5/5: Our waiter did an excellent job. Gave us a small rundown of what makes this restaurant different, made recommendations, and checked on our table often. Food: 4/5: loved that everything is made from scratch. The salsa and chips were pretty good. Salsa had a unique warm flavor. Chicken quesadilla is listed as an appetizer, but it's large enough to be an entree. Flavors were pretty good. The brasas chicken tacos were good as well, maybe a little on the dry side tho. Nothing really blew me out of the water, but excited to go try some of their other dishes. Drinks: 4/5: The drinks were pretty tasty and unique. My only con with them is that they were a bit too sweet to where we couldnt taste the alcohol. Overall, we had a great time and are excited to come back.

I stopped by for happy hour and, despite having a reservation, was a little disappointed that several walk-in guests were seated before me. Once I was seated on the patio, however, the experience quickly improved. Covered and closed off so no one walks in and out. Nice table setting and perfect spot to people watch. My server was fantastic--knowledgeable, attentive, and great at recommending both food and drinks. Following her suggestions, I ordered the ceviche and the vegetarian quesadilla. I initially planned to order an entrée as well, but the portions were surprisingly generous, and the appetizers alone left me completely satisfied. For drinks, I tried the margarita flight, which included hibiscus, classic, and spicy watermelon flavors. The spicy watermelon was easily my favorite, offering just the right balance of sweetness and heat. When a friend joined me later, I ordered the Chupa mango cocktail, which was another great choice. Parking was a bit hectic, but I got lucky and found a spot in the lot. The restaurant is located where the Ice Cream Museum used to be, across from True Food, making it fairly easy to find once you're in the area. I've heard great things about the enchiladas, so they're definitely on my list for my next visit. Between the excellent service, tasty food, and creative cocktails, I'll be back to try more of the menu.

Stopped in based off an expierence from an alternate location. Decor is trendy/modern with dim lighting. Plenty of large and small tables to accommodate a range of party sizes. Large patio outside. Drinks are good as was service. They were sold out of the civiche.-bummer. Veggie enchiladas were plain- enchilada sauces weren't great, and they seemed to be more tortilla then anything. Tortillas were also a bit thick for my liking. The Squash blossom quesadilla was great as we remembered from last time, full of flavor and fillings! The flan was also really great! perfect texture and nice carmel sauce ! Will be glad to try other options next time we stop in but hope it doesn't disappoint like the enchiladas.

Review #1,072 Posted on 6.11.26 We came here for dinner on Monday June 8th while in town for my buddies 50th birthday bash. This was actually our only opportunity for the whole group to dine together at a sit down dinner. This place is in a pretty big outdoor strip mall in Austin. The inside is really nice, and we got sat right away after arriving, which is always nice when you have a reservation. We got greeted, gave drink orders, then did the food orders. I thought the food, my meal was good. I had chicken & steak fajitas, the meat was tender, and the tortillas fresh. The chips and salsa with guac they brought out were also good. Margarita was tasty, and not too weak, tasted good. Would've like to see a few more options on the main course of the menu, but service & quality were both excellent and I'd easily come back here to eat.

There are no shortages of Tex-Mex places here, so for a chain restaurant to stand out says a lot. First off, the restaurant is MASSIVE but also beautiful. Even the plates they use when they bring out the chips and salsa are stunning! My entire group loved everything we ordered. Some people got tacos, someone got the steak and lobster fajitas, I got the enchiladas. All amazing. The margaritas were also so good too! Everything was also reasonably priced. Our server was wonderful and very friendly. I definitely recommend this place!!

After browsing nearby bars, we saw that W XYX was within walking distance so we decided to give it a try. W XYZ is in the lobby of the Aloft Hotel. The hotel has a contemporary modern feel which is also reflected in the bar. When we first arrived, it wasn't too busy, but it picked up as the night went on. Chris was behind the bar that evening. He provided some good recommendations on cocktails. I was surprised to see the number of cocktails on the menu. I decided to go with the Freshen Up while my friend went with the Thin Mint Cookie. My drink had cucumber syrup in it. I'm a sucker for cucumber so I decided to give it a try. Unfortunately, I didn't care for this drink. It was so mint forward from the creme de mint that it over powered the drink. I felt like I was drinking mouthwash. My friend enjoyed her drink and said it tasted like a Thin Mint Girl Scout cookie in a glass. Though I didn't care for my cocktail, it wouldn't stop me from returning to try a different drink. I'll be sure to avoid any cocktails with creme de mint in the future.

A sleek bar lines one side of the space, while comfortable modern living room furniture occupies the center of the room. The atmosphere strikes a perfect balance between chic sophistication and laid-back fun, with clean architectural lines, modern décor, and dim lighting that creates an inviting ambiance. During our visit, we learned that the longtime bartender had recently moved on and been replaced by Sydney, who was absolutely delightful. When she discovered we were celebrating my friend's birthday, she rallied everyone at the bar and throughout the lounge area to sing "Happy Birthday." The gesture was unexpected, heartfelt, and instantly made the evening feel special. As fate would have it, another guest was celebrating a birthday as well, so the entire group enthusiastically sang for her too. The bar clearly has a loyal following, as several regulars were gathered throughout the evening...a testament to the welcoming atmosphere that keeps people coming back. Syndey crafted custom cocktails for both my friend and me, working with only two instructions: tequila for her and vodka for me. The results were refreshing, creative, and expertly crafted. What could have been just another night out became a memorable birthday celebration thanks to the warmth, hospitality, and personal touches at W XYZ Bar. For that, I'm truly grateful.

The mini-golf course is realistically doable, which is a plus because so many indoor mini-golf spots have gimmicky setups that are trash to play. The price is a little on the expensive side for 35 minutes of play, and like most mini-golf courses, it tends to get backloaded at each hole when it is busy. Just chill out, sip your drink, and take your time enjoying the round. One of my favorites was one where it shoots the golf ball up the wall and you watch it come down various ramps and musical instruments. This is a good spot for a date night or fun with friends and family. The mini golf area is smaller than some other mini golf spots I've visited in Houston but it was still a fun time. Wow! What an incredible experience at Sixty Vines in The Domain!…read more We made our reservation through OpenTable and mentioned that we were celebrating our anniversary. From the moment we walked in, the staff made us feel genuinely welcome. When we arrived at our table, we were surprised with a handwritten Happy Anniversary postcard and a beautifully presented gift--such a thoughtful touch that immediately made the evening feel special. Our server, Polina, was absolutely fantastic. She took the time to learn what styles of wine we enjoy and brought us a few samples before helping us choose an amazing wine flight. Her recommendations were spot-on! We also enjoyed a custom charcuterie board and the prosciutto & fig pizza, both of which were outstanding. To top it all off, Andrew, the manager, stopped by our table to make sure everything was perfect. We loved learning about Sixty Vines' unique wine-on-tap program and appreciated their commitment to sustainability, including composting food scraps. (They didn't have much to compost from our table--maybe a bite or two of pizza crust! ) The only disappointing part of the evening was that we had tickets to a show and couldn't stay longer to explore more of their incredible wine selection. That's just another reason we'll definitely be back!

Now, the wine flight. Dear god. Since it was evening and they couldn't make the espresso martini decaf (which did make me wonder whether they're using fresh espresso...), I went with the three-wine flight. The wines are pre-selected and, unfortunately, they were BAD. I genuinely couldn't drink the first one. The second, a rosé, was at least palatable but nowhere near cold enough. The final wine, a Malbec, was easily the best of the three, but by that point the bar was approximately on the floor. Thankfully, the actual wine list at Sixty Vines is incredible. I abandoned the flight, ordered glasses of wines I actually wanted to drink and all was right with the world again. Overall, the vibes were great, the food was delicious, the staff was fantastic about gluten free / celiac safety and the wines I chose myself were excellent. I'll absolutely be back. Next time, though, I'm skipping the special and ordering everything individually so I'm never again subjected to the mystery trio of wines they've decided constitutes Girl Dinner.
